The customer service from the wait staff to cleaning staff to groundskeepers…literally EVERY STAFF person was lovely…stayed for a week and did not have a single negative encounter. Lovely place; meticulously kept up. Will recommend to family and friends…and would repeat for sure!

Absolutely Exceptional Stay at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos! From the moment we arrived at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, everything exceeded our expectations. The resort itself is stunning — beautifully maintained grounds, luxurious amenities, and a variety of pools that suit every mood. Whether you want to relax by the main pool with poolside service or enjoy the tranquility of your own private pool room, this resort delivers both relaxation and indulgence. The private pool suite was one of the best parts of our stay. Waking up and stepping right into the water from our patio was an incredible experience — truly worth it for those looking for a little extra privacy and luxury. What truly set our visit apart, though, was the service. Every staff member we encountered was warm, professional, and dedicated to making our stay memorable. A special shoutout to Catalina, our butler/private concierge, who went above and beyond at every turn. She was thoughtful, attentive, and always one step ahead, making everything seamless from restaurant reservations to in-room touches that made us feel special. This was more than just a vacation — it was a flawless experience we’ll never forget. Can’t wait to come back!

The staff is so warm, inviting and sweet. Food was okay. A bit of a hit or miss. Beautiful resort and quite busy. Overall it was a really good stay!

Excellent stay. Someone is always cleaning or sweeping something, so super clean. Lots of activities. Open air lobby is awesome.

This was a lovely property. We had a swim-Up master in the adults only section which was fantastic, away from the noise. Hotel itself was beautiful, clean, great location, friendly staff. The construction that everyone seemed to speak about must have been over because we did not hear anything. Plenty of activities every day. Short ride to San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Overall a great stay, my only complaint was that the food was not as excellent as everything else. Not bad by any means, but just nothing great. I was excited to try the newly renovated Italian restaurant but there was about a 2 hour wait every night and they only opened at 6pm. Loved the lunch food truck and grill as well as the breakfast buffet. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

The overall stay was great. We were only there for 3 days and we stayed in a club ocean view room. Unfortunately, the teppanyaki and italian restaurant were extremely busy for the 2 nights we were there. We luckily got into teppanyaki because we waited outside and someone cancelled. The italian restaurant was a 2 hour wait and we only got there about 30 minutes after they opened and we had a toddler so the wait wasn't a possibility. The other food was alright, but not great. The kids water slide area was really great, our son absolutely loved it. There was a wasps nest somewhere along the structure and they had it caution taped off. I don't think anyone got stung but still not ideal. For some reason, we didn't have pool service while hanging in the kids section. It was a good resort, but I wouldn't spend more than a few days here.

Very nice hotel and service

The property was a midsize resort. There is only 1 family pool area and 1 adult pool. When we visited (mid-April) this was more than enough. The family pool area was never crowded and we always found a set of 4 lounge chairs together. We thought the restaurant options would be limited, but we were wrong. We were there for a week and eventually made our way to all the restaurants and enjoyed them for different reasons. The Italian restaurant was a crowd favorite with lots for every age group. We ate there twice for dinner and all 4 of us had different entrees. The Asian was a family favorite and we also visited twice. Once for the Japanese dining and once for the hibachi dining. The hibachi show was not as entertaining but our chef’s fried rice was outstanding. The rib eye steak at the grill is a full 16 oz so be prepared! The adults only French restaurant was outstanding but it was our server Unidas that really shone and made it spectacular. He went off the cuff to create drinks off the menu and they all hit the mark. Do not sleep on the Quesadilla Truck. The quesadillas were addictive! The entertainment staff at the pool was fun. They roped a few of us into challenges more than once (and they won a few times!). But the fitness class trainers were really invested. Lizet, Armando and Benjamin were first class. It felt like we had personal trainers while on vacation! The classes were at great times throughout the day but my favorite were the 8 AM classes! Overall a great stay.

The resort is undeniably beautiful from the outside, with well-maintained grounds and an impressive exterior. However, the room we were given felt outdated, and the cleanliness was disappointing — the floors were so dirty that my feet turned black after walking barefoot upon arriving. The food was below average, and the liquor selection was far from premium. Unfortunately, not all of the staff were friendly, which impacted the overall experience. On a positive note, the buffet at La Plaza stood out for its variety and consistently excellent service.

This was our first time at the Hyatt Ziva Cabo. It was absolutely the vacation that we needed. We relaxed on the beach, read our books, tanned, workout at the gym, explored all the restaurants, and enjoyed the pools and hot tub. We met wonderful guests and became friends with a few staff members. We loved it so much that we started planning next year’s trip before we had even left!

The Staff was incredible. Very nice and very accommodating. Can’t wait to come back. Views were beautiful and overall a wonderful experience.

Beautiful Hotel but there isn't much to do compared to other hotels.. Topself Alcohol but the mixed drinks were horrible so stick with something simple. The rooms were great except the bathroom had a weird sewer odor. My friends complained about that same odor in their bathrooms as well. Overall its nice but will I go back? Hell no! Not worth the price. This was my 7th time in Mexico.

Construction went on for most of the trip but it did not really bother my wife and me. Other than that, the whole resort was just excellent. Would definetly go back!

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is a very beautiful resort. The staffs were amazing, respectful, & jovial. I did not get to explore all the restaurants on the resort, but out of the 3 restaurants i tried, My favorite was restaurant was “Bon Vivant”’ the french restaurant. The food was delicious & the service was great. I also enjoyed the buffet “La Plaza” good yummy food also. The resort was clean & i felt safe too. I was there for only 3 nights

Beautiful family friendly resort with a ton of activities.

Great stay at Hyatt Ziva. We had Club Level access which made all the difference as waits at restaurants were quite long sometimes. Entertainment staff, especially kid activities was excellent as was our personal concierge Catalina.

The stay overall was pretty good. Great options My only complaint was that there was a lot of construction going on. They built a whole wall right next to our room

We went to this hotel to relax Our room was next to construction site and could not sleep in the morning Elevator next to our room was not operation My wife has knee problems and we had to take steps from 5th floor every time Food also marginal

Wonderful view and lots of activities.

Resort and food was great but all restaurants are severely short staffed. Every place we went to, ended up taking 30-45mins for food to arrive. On the positive side, food tasted great! Also we had to call in front desk multiple times to get our room cleaned, which basically was the staff changing bedding sheets and bath towels.

Great family trip! We traveled with our two kids (8 &11). Property, staff and service was excellent. Food and drinks were very good. Just what we were looking for during the kids spring break.

Catalina, Caesar, Relando ( shuttle service) Miguel, Italian server, are a true asset to your resort. Beyond kind,gracious, and called us by name each day. Casa Cortez staff, was very polite and explained the menu brilliantly, the food was outstanding. The Italian Restaurant was great, Miguel was a great server, so grateful for him. The resort was clean, housekeeping was good, Bar staff was so friendly. Í will be back.

They sold me a hotel room that didn’t exist. The food was below average. The service wasn’t good. The staff wasn’t super friendly. Overall, over priced for what you get and we wouldn’t go back

Loved that Hyatt Ziva was close to the airport so it was only about a 20min ride to the hotel. Also loved that the hotel was right on the beach (even though we didn't swim in the ocean). Overall, the all-inclusive dining options were super convenient and loved that the coffee shop was open 24/7 with snacks available and ice cream! The staff were so nice and the rooms felt luxurious and clean. Also loved that there was a kids area for the kiddos to play in! It was a great spot for the family.

The staff was very nice. Need to improve menue little bit, veggie options are little less and same things. Fresh Coconut water should be free anywaus you are charging good amount of money.

If you are looking for a great experience, this is the place! Angel and Margarita in the buffet restaurant greeted us with warm smiles and hugs. I love how they remember key details about why we were visiting. The guys around the pool that make sure your drink needs are met (Alejandro and Manuel). I can't remember the nice lady's name that set us up with the Sunset Beach dinner with live entertainment, but she made our visit so much more memorable. Last but not least, Poli was the absolute best! He made sure that we were taken care of the entire time we were there! Great memories were made and we are planning our next trip to visit the Ziva team really soon!

Expect over an hour wait to get to any of the restaurants.

Great property- excellent service from employees. The food was just ok. We ended up having 2 fabulous dinners in town instead of eating dinner at the resort. Breakfast and lunch were pretty good. Resort grounds were beautiful. We were in an older room and while very clean, it was pretty dated. My only true complaint was we were in an adjoining room and you could literally hear everything from the room next door. We were woken up by yelling in the middle of the night 2 of the 4 nights.

The hotel looks beautiful both outdoors and indoors. Great staff, very clean. They have lots of food stations by the pool and beach area. My main complaints were the food at the buffet restaurant was average and the beds were so uncomfortable

This was our 4th stay here. Food needs improvement. They were overbooked so we did not get the room we reserved with 2 queen beds. Shower was not working correctly but they did come up to fix for us. Housecleaning was so far behind each day showing up around 4:00 when we were back to the room after a day in the Sun. So the room was only cleaned 3 times in week. Luckily they provided clean towels, etc each day. Would be nice to have easy streaming access at the end of the day but couldn’t figure out how to use the code and Chromecast. Adult pool area not cleaned thoroughly each day. Litter was still in the plant area after a week. Overall disappointed and will most likely try another all inclusive property next time.

There was construction going on in the hotel but it wasn’t too bad. Even though the service at the restaurants were amazing , the quality of the food wasn’t as good. The entertainment was nice. Everyone at the hotel were very friendly and beyond attentive.

Management being rude and confrontational

I absolutely loved this resort!!!! I cannot say 1 bad thing about my experience. We ate at all restaurants except the seafood restaurant due to an allergy. The buffet always had a great selection, the omelet station was never too busy & the cook always had 3-4 omelets being made at once. If you want something you do not see…ask! They are amazing at trying to provide you with everything you want/need.

Amazing! The food and drinks were fantastic. Staff amazing. Friendly. Air conditioning was out for 2 days but luckily it wasn't too hot.

This is my second visit. Contrary to Hyatt Ziva's reputation, the buffet was okay. I was surprised by the unprofessional cooking skills and unclean sanitation at the Japanese restaurant. The French and Italian restaurants were closed. What on earth do we have to eat? I felt very bad. The round-trip fare from the airport to Hyatt Ziva was very expensive. My friends were very disappointed. The trip to Los Cabos was disappointing. In particular, I thought they were racist.

Property was amazing and we really enjoyed our stay. It was beautiful, but the staff definitely got less stars because a lot of them they don’t speak good English and specially in the buffet area. The staff is terrible. They take your order and they never come back so on our last day I had to call this guy and tell him about it and then he started speaking perfect English he said OK ma’am I’m sorry about that and today you will have A1 service. Not sure what that meant but that day we did get A1 service. My daughter was pregnant and she was having difficulty sitting in the chair so she asked the waiter for a cushion and he just did not understand what she was asking for finally after asking a few other people we did get the cushion, but it was frustratingStaff in all the service areas definitely need a lot of training.

Our stay at Ziva in San Jose Del Cabo was incredible. The staff was nothing short of excellent, kind, and attentive. The resort is very well kept and the atmosphere is perfect. We will definitely be going back.

Awesome resort to stay at. The amenities are wonderful along with their staff. Our hostess CATALINA was wonderful and on top of our stay. She helped us with everything we needed and was in touched with us all throughout our stay. DANIEL was also wonderful and was helpful. We enjoyed and loved our stay. Excellent food especially at Casa Cortez for dinner. Excellent wait staff and manager at the restaurant.

Very beautiful! The walls seemed very thin as we could hear the alarm clock at 6:00am in the room next door. And the A/C didn’t work quite right. Food was great and the staff were beyond excellent.

We had an excellent stay at this property. Everything was amazing. The food and service was wonderful and being right on the beach was such a bonus. Would come back again and loved the swim up room. Spend the money and get the updated room with a butler!

This property was absolutely gorgeous! My only complaint, the A/C went down in the entire property. The rooms, the hotel, the restaurants, everywhere had no A/C. Luckily, it was the end of February, so the weather wasn’t too bad.

I recommend staying at another hotel. The hotel is overpriced considering parts are under construction. The construction noise is inescapably loud and an eye sore. During our last night, the water pressure got really low in one bedroom and then started spewing out brown water. In our other room, there was no water at all. The room furnishings are also very old and dated. The front door in one bedroom was not shutting completely so maintenance had to repair it, causing us to wait in the room until they were done. The front desk lady was rude and offered no customer service. Although we booked two rooms in one reservation, they separated us in two different floors. She did nothing to give us an adjoining room. The hotel servers were very nice including Santiago near the pool. The food at restaurants are decent for an all-inclusive resort. The lobby bar cocktails were good and what you’d expect in an American hotel bar. The beach was nice but wish there were more lawn chairs out there to lay out and tan, and whale watch. The spa masseuses are great! The spa amenities are average. I would not come back to this hotel again.

The property was pretty nice. We booked the ocean front unit. Top of the line! It was supposed to come with a butler. He was totally useless. We would request coffee cups and they would never come. The check in was a separate area and they took forever because they wanted to upsell up on the spa. Annoying. The food was good. The kids area is adorable. The hotel is under construction. It looks like it will be nice. However it is noisy and dusty. Also next door is under construction so also noisy. They keep the hotel pretty clean but our room needed update. We paid like $18,000 for the room so we expected some great things.

With so many places to stay in Cabo, this place is by far the worst. My room couldn’t cool down, if you’re in a group of 10 or 20 and one person had a few too many drinks, everyone is punished by being cut off. The food is horrendous. Even the staff said they wouldn’t eat it. Basically we starved for 4 days and couldn’t wait to eat Panda Express at the airport on our way back.

It’s beautiful my only issue I had a butler that I never seen I needed my room decorated for bday and all I got was a small cup cake and a sign on the door. Never had this problem in any other resort around my bday

We love the Hyatt Ziva! Especially Margherita at the buffet in the morning! Our favorite employee for many years, we love her! Everyone is kind and helpful, the food is great. Can't wait until next trup!

Great service, but construction is too much

Second time here - this was a family winter break with one parent working remote. So easy vacation without a lot of planning was needed. Service and staff are amazing - kind, courteous, patient, helpful, responsive etc. can’t say enough. The location and weather are spectacular. Sunrises and sunsets on the beach, and watching rays jumping and whales swimming laps - great stuff. The shows and entertainment varies in quality but is always enthusiastic. Appreciate the staff effort. Liked the daily yoga on the beach, too. Breakfast with whales at Cortez and dinner at the Italian spot are fantastic. Liked the poolside juice bar, tacos and ceviche too. Not all the food is good, but there is plenty to enjoy. The spa was also really good - and a decent value. The upgraded hydrotherapy circuit and massage - so fun and relaxing! The big downsides were the construction and the condition of the property in general - basically the property is getting really tired - we had an “artwork” fall out of its frame and off the wall, and the sofa was stained. It appears they are remodeling one wing at a time - so that means there is nonstop construction going on during the day. All day the pool and beach area is vibrating with the screech of saws, pounding of hammers and literal jackhammering for hours. It was crazy how loud it was and for me, it really dampened my time there. You don’t want to be at the beach and feel like you’re in the middle of a downtown construction project.

Clean property. Friendly staff. Pool is nice and warm. Service at restaurant is a little slow. If you dine at peak time, it’s always a 45 minute wait, but they also don’t write down your room or give you a pager, or take down your phone number — just tells you to come back and check if a table is available. I dont know how they could help people in the order they come with that system. My favorite spot is the coffee shop. Shows were good. Kids club staff are super friendly and attentive to the children. Room is big, clean, with comfortable beds. I felt warm during the night though but there is no way for me to tell the thermostat to go colder. Thermostat says 19C but it definitely felt warmer than that by several degrees. Overall, a pleasant stay and will probably come back again.

You have to get a martini at Mirador. Valentine and Lupe are the best!

We loved everything about this property except for construction noise. Property design is the best in the business! We especially enjoyed our swim up suite. Service, food, drink, and accommodations are exceptional. The Club was an outstanding amenity! We have, and will recommend this resort to our friends, and will definitely go there again!

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is a gorgeous, super conveniently located, friendly resort. Despite being super sick for the first 3 days of our stay (not food or resort related), we had an amazing time in San Jose del Cabo. The resort is walking distance (30-40mins, or 5-10min taxi ride) to shopping areas and an art district. There are also a bunch of restaurants just outside the gates, if you’re looking to try something away from the resort, but you won’t need to since there are tons of options within. The buffet is typical, lots of different options. The A La Carte restaurants are really where it’s at, our favourites were the Italian (shout out to Enrique) and Casa Cortez (shout out to Alan and Sergio). Both have beautiful views of the beach, ocean and cliffs. We also really appreciated the little coffee bar and the room service while we were sick :) From the moment you step into the huge, airy lobby (with an unparalleled view straight through to the ocean) you will be welcomed and feel totally at ease. Highly, highly recommend this spot!

While there is some construction in one of the buildings we were not bothered by it. The staff was amazing in all locations from dining, to entertainment, to housekeeping. All staff were friendly and went out of their way to make our stay awesome. We enjoyed the activities and entertainment offered by the resort. There was a wide variety of good food options throughout the resort. Dinner did take a little longer than we like to spend at sit down meals and I could see this being a problem once the part of the hotel under construction is done as there will be more guests and they will need to turn tables quicker.
