This is a convenient location, close to the airport and right at the end of the metro line. The breakfast was above average and the room was clean. Free parking in a secure area was also a huge plus. I would stay here again.

It was like a military dorm room

Great place to stay to be near the airport.

Really liked the one night I spent here. The place is clean and comfortable. I had a cute little room on the top floor with little sun windows on the sloping roof that you could actually pop your head out off and view the neighbourhood shopping mall etc… The tub accumulated a little water at the end of my shower which is a pet peeve but hopefully they would have fixed that, as promised. The breakfast was good

Convenient location close to metro station, which means easy access to city centre and airport; 24 hour reception desk; room clean and comfortable with a\c; complementary tea, coffee, mineral water and snacks plus small fridge in room. Excellent.

Nice Stay

It was nice stay overall. Very clean everywhere. The staff was helpful and kind. I parked my car in on site parking lot. But, if you come late you may get difficulty to find a parking space. The breakfast was very delicious.

I really enjoyed my stay at Chesscom in Budapest. Stayed in the small room and had plenty of space for 2 people. The hotel was very close to the nearby mall and metro station for easy access to the city. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to others!

Can’t sing the praises enough of this place. Beautiful decor, close to a shopping mall. Small bar in hotel. Excellent AC. Very clean. Staff even called to say they’ve found food we forgot in the fridge and whether they should keep it for us!

Convenient hotel

Need to ho up half a floor to elevator. Had to ask for help woth suitcases

The staff was really nice. I stayed for a conference and I chose the hotel because it was close. The location is close to public transportation and there are many dining and shopping options around.

I chose this hotel because of its very convenient location not far from the Budapest airport, and it is also within easy walking distance (2 minutes) to the Kobanya-Kispest metro station and train station. I arrived late at night from the airport and the staff was very helpful and I was able to quickly get to my room and go to sleep. The room was simple, yet had everything I needed. And very clean! There was a fine breakfast selection in the small dining area. And then, as mentioned, very easy access to transportation into Budapest via the Metro, or parts beyond from the train station.

It's a nice and clean hotel for a one night stay. Close to the airport, best place if you need convenience due to your flight schedule.

The hotel was squeaky clean and smelled nice. In the room everything was in good condition and operational. The welcome gifts in the room were relevant to the country and given full heartedly (based on the little message on the table). The car park is large and secure. Members of the hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The location is excellent for those travelling by plane, it's only 13 minutes to the airport car park. As well, it is near the public transport and shopping terminal, KöKi (Kőbánya-Kispest). There's only one thing I'd ask from the management - please provide smaller pillows in addition to the traditional large ones (at least as an option) as the traditional large ones are not suitable for all. I recommend this hotel for everyone.

Smal room. The noise comes through on the wall. Nice breakfast, free carpark. The property close to the public transport and a shopping centre. Friendly staff.

Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was great. 👍 We also liked check out time until 11:00 because our flight landed around 1:00 so we had time to get some sleep.

I have stayed in this hotel a few times when I travelled. The place is getting better and nicer. It's very clean, beds are comfortable, staff is super nice and helpful. The hotel is close to the train station, and close to the airport.

Greatocation, friendly staff

Our family of 4 stayed for one night prior to a departure from the nearby Ferenc Liszt International Airport (9 km). There is free parking on site and the drive to the airport is easy on a main highway. Breakfast available for 7 EU per person which seemed to be a good value and very convenient. An elevator is available to get luggage to the upper floors. Room was large and clean and bathroom appeared recently renovated with a large shower. For longer stays, the middle class neighborhood around the property is not scenic or touristy, but has grocery stores and restaurants and there is a mall with a subway station and bus service is right across the street. The property was convenient and a good value!

Clean, friendly staff able to help with info and requests about surroundings. Good,safe parking. We will return when we have the opportunity.

Good value for money, tasty breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed and good location for Budapest airport if you don't want to pay 150 Euros/night to sleep at the airport hotel. I'll stay again next time I'm in Budapest.

It was perfect, the amenities were just as described. Big shower and comfortable bed. The WiFi was really fast. It was perfect for my short stay Inbetween flights

I stayed at Chesscom in 2012 the last time. Since then the changes are fantastic! The present hotel is sparkly clean, the receptionists are lovely. The only little thing was the shower place as the water didn't drain properly and the night time lighting around the hotel, although understandable because of the energy prices. I will stay again if I can!!!

Nice experience

I stayed here to catch an early flight the following morning. I arrived via train from the Hungarian countryside to “Kőbánya Kispest” station (although a dilapidated remnant of the USSR era) only a 5-6 min walk to the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Renovated. I found the bed to be very comfortable. The buildings exterior could definitely use a power washing or a fresh paint job, however. There is a list of complimentary amenities you can ask for at the front desk (slippers, earplugs, adapter, etc). The bottle of water and chocolate in the room were also included. The receptionist was friendly and accommodating; she also reserved a cab for me - it’s a 15 min ride to the airport.

Perfect for a departure

We were heading out to the airport to return back home, and this one is very conveniently located near the bus terminal that takes directly to the airport with just a regular ticket. There's also a tram option there which connects to the city, so it's perfect for the departure day. As for the hotel itself, it provided all the essentials that we needed. The room modern and very clean, although a bit basic and not very big. They had a welcome package with some simple snacks as well, which may be useful. The value for money in this place is excellent as long as you're not looking for something that has everything you need in a walking distance. It's more situational.

Good stay but smelly!

We had an okay stay, great metro links into the centre of Budapest, very easy to navigate even with diversions that were in place! One negative point is that the drains smelt awful! Every morning we would wake up to a bathroom that made us gag! Apart from that and that the curtains let in a lot of light, everything was great! Breakfast had a fab selection!

Great plate

Good stay. I needed a place to stay before going to the airport for a 5am departure. Small room but adequate. Very clean and attention to detail. Staff was friendly.

This hotel was not good, bed sheets with mascara stains so probably not changed or properly washed. The bathroom and bathtub were in a bad condition, quite old. Beds were without mattresses, just a seating sponge so not suitable for sleep. The room walls were not clean as well.So would not go back. And given the price, very bad price value ratio.

Ideal hotel for an overnight stay

Great hotel close to the airport and city centre. Shopping centre, local bus services and train station nearby. Rooms are clean and comfortable, great selection of breakfast items, good coffee! Very helpful staff! Really enjoyed our stay!

Affordable small hotel halfway between the city centre and airport. Free parking. Spacious room, comfortable bed. No luxury but just what you need for a good sleep. Good value for money.

Good budget hotel

Our room was a little cramped although was adequate for our needs.Tiny wardrobe but for us on a 4 day stay adequate.Small bathroom but had a corner shower which suited our needs.Bed very comfortable and slept well.Reception helpful and continental breakfast was good value.Shopping centre only 200 yards away.Good value for those on a budget.

My room, number 110 was very small and in bad condition. My friends room, n. 111 was big and excellent. Both are at same price.

Budapest best economy stay!

Great location for shopping, and easy access to pubic transportation to the city center and the airport. The price was right also !

Room served our purpose of being near the airport and the price was reasonable. However, there was no air conditioning and the room was extremely hot! Fan should be made available if the air conditioning is not on/working.

Good for a night

Check in easy, reception friendly. Room definitely dated, but for one night to be close to airport it was fine. I was comfortable.

Good place at a reasonable price

Excellent location - just 2 minutes walk to the bus station and metro station (end of the line) with multiple connections to the city and with the bus line to the airport (in the same place there is also massive shopping centre with a food court). Hotel itself is not impressive but everything is clean and the staff is both friendly and helpful. Taking into account reasonable price, I could recommend this place as your accommodation base for visiting Budapest: you can get to the centre in about 20-25 minutes and the same time you are only about 20 minutes from the airport.

Perfect for a quick city trip or airport stopover

Perfectly convenient for airport and city centre. Hotel lies a minutes walk from a major transport hub which is half way between the airport and city centre. Within 30 minutes of landing I was at the hotel, getting the 200E bus and off at the bus station/P&R stop at night time. Hotel looked dated on the outside but superb on the inside, super new, clean and modern. Really comfortable and staff could not have done more. This is one of the best budget hotels I've ever stayed in.

Good find

I wanted somewhere close to the airport but not too far from the city centre. This hotel has it all and the room was cheap. Only problem is proximity of the main road which can be noisy if your room is on the wrong side of the building. Metro station is just across the road and the metro will take you to the city centre in less than 15mn. Very friendly staff and decent breakfast.

Had a good experience with them but the wall was thin and we could hear the others next door and hallway even during the night. Some people were talking around 4am which made me awake. But the staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived there around 1:30am but checking in Was open and the hotel was very close from the station.

Don’t let the facade be the sole judging factor. Inside, the hotel is fine, remodeled, comfortable, very spacious. It is conveniently located to a huge mall. And the price, a real bargain

Noisy at night

We had a room at the front which faced a very busy road junction. Being village folk we struggled with the loud traffic and sirens. Also a neighbouring property had an large dog which barked during the night, distrubing our sleep. Other than that, everything was fine.

Good Stay

Friendly staff. Good location next to train, metro, and bus stations, and the shopping center. The breakfast is worth the extra 4 euros. Rooms a bit dated from the 90s.

Good

It's a good budget hotel. Not luxury, but clean, comfortable beds, good breakfast, polite staff, free private parking, elevator, safe area. It's not the first time for me at this hotel. The common parts and breakfast room were renovated. In my opinion, the breakfast room was nicer before. The old wooden furniture made me feel cozy. Now it's all cold plastic, metal and glass. And the coffe was horrible, cheap instant cofee.

Easy Access

Hotel is located just outside (about 100 meters) from the Kobanya Kispest Station, which is part of a shopping mall complex. The 200E bus, located just outside the airport terminal will take you there for 350 Huff (about 1euro). Staff was polite and very helpful. They assisted with tours. Breakfast was adequate, different options available. My main gripe was the elevator - it was too small and does not come all the way down to the ground floor. You must carry your bags up a flight of stairs before you reach the elevator and 2 pieces of luggage is all that can be carried at a time. The bathroom shower (area) is too small with little room to maneuver. Having a coffee maker in the room will be an asset.

A good hotel with value for money

Absolutely fantastic hotel, good and helpful staff, great location (200E to airport & M3 to center), neat and clean rooms, daily housekeeping, breakfast too is good. Only minus we felt was that the curtains are thin for the summer lights, a mirror in the room will be helpful and juice in the breakfast needs some taste.

Budget gem

Amazingly nice for budget price. Generous breakfast. Very clean bacic room. Good airconditioning for summer. Is just a shot block from Metro 3 line. So with a 3 day Metro/bus/trolly pass you could go anyplace in Budapest for a very inexpensive vacation. 30 min bus ride to airport. Or 6,000 Fl taxi. ($60).

Very convenient base for visiting Bustapest

Always stay here when travelling by plane as it's very convenient to catch the 200E from & to the airport from nearby. Large shopping centre across the road plus metro line terminal so very easy to get anywhere else in Budapest & have this place as a base. Staff are friendly & breakfast is good too.

Excellent value for money

Very good value for money. Although out of the centre it is very easy to get a tram into the centre and public transport is very cheap. Large room with a TV and balcony. Large bathroom although shower extremely low down on the wall, I am 5 5' and had to duck down to wash my hair.

The room 110 was extremely small, the bathroom very basic and run down. Everything was worked but everything was very tired.

Staff respond to your concerns but if you don't leave a tip you will find your soiled sheets back after you squish a messy bug on the comforter cover.

Value for money

The hotel is conveniently located if you have to get to the airport. You can get a bus just across the road via 200E bus or driving just takes 20 minutes on an almost straight road.

Cheap hotel near Budapest Airport

The hotel was described by a colleague as being 'rather run down'. Enough said.

Very good value

I was worried about this hotel because the rate was so cheap. To my surprise it was very clean and a great value. The breakfast was good, WiFi was strong, and really easy to get to from the airport or downtown. I had a flight out the following morning so I wanted a hotel somewhat close to the airport and this fit the bill. It is right across the street from where the bus and metro meet. It is easy to get downtown by taking the metro and it is easy to get to the airport by taking the bus. I paid a lot more for a hotel downtown for the majority of my trip in Budapest but I should have stayed here with its easy connections and much lower price.

Nice hotel near to the metro

My stay was great, the hotel was easy to access from the airport, clean, well decorated and quite. It was near the underground metro so it was easy to reach everywhere i want to visit.at late night there are buses that reach near to it just 5 mins walking from bus station.
