TravellerTravellerOur room was clean and comfortable with a lovely ensuite bathroom. Location is brilliant - about a 20 metre walk and you’re on the Old Course!! Parking was easy and free nearby. Be aware that, quite typically of St Andrew’s, there is no lift so make sure you’re up to climbing stairs and also getting your luggage up and down yourself! Staff were friendly, breakfast was excellent. Definitely recommend!!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room had every comfort including a hairdryer, straighteners and mini fridge with delicious cocktails. Breakfast was included and they let me takeaway breakfast for my sleepy teen.

TravellerHaar with rooms is excellent choice right on the 18th green of Old Course. Only downside amid the joy of being in St.Andrews and the town, is the room size. If that is issue for you, stay somewhere else. Apart from that, wonderful!!

Lovely boutique hotel with easy walking to all sights. Staff was very friendly and helpful . Food was amazing, very gourmet and all was fresh. The chef managed interesting flavors for all meals.
TravellerPerfect stay in St Andrews
We loved staying at the Haar. The room was perfect - with a view of East Sands from the window (and if the Open hadn't been on, you'd have seen the top of the fairway too). It was very comfortable and every single detail had been thought of - there was a fan, hair straightener and hairdryer, complimentary shortbread and still and sparkling water, TV with streaming services, minifridge stocked with gin and tonic and pre-mixed cocktails, and wonderful toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion - which so many hotels neglect to provide all of). The staff were very friendly. Breakfast is included in the booking which we weren't 100% clear about but make sure to take advantage as its wonderful! We had eggs benedict and eggs royale, both of which were delicious - not too big but a perfect breakfast portion, and we both also had lovely fresh squeezed orange juice and iced coffees. Will highly recommend staying here to anyone else wishing to go as location is wonderful and stay incredibly comfortable.

Amazing location, incredible views. The staff were absolutely amazing! Very sweet and welcoming! Also has the most amazing dinner there. Highly recommend. The only downside, was the room was warm, but we can’t complain too much as we were in Scotland with gorgeous warm weather. There was a Dyson Fan, but we just weren’t use to no AC.

Nice place to stay. Room was small. Up a couple flights of stairs, no elevator Needed 3 different door lock codes to get to room, one at street, one for rooms section and then one for individual room, each had a key code box you had to manually code to get in. Good security, but a single coded key card for access would be much easier Great location to explore St Andrews Parking several blocks away in public lot with getting lucky to find the spot. Parking is very challenging Breakfast was delicious
