Was in Anchorage for a department meeting with colleagues and students in Anchorage. The rooms were spacious and comfortable

FANTASTIC fitness center.

Most of the staff smiled and was gracious, but some were not. The room had few amenities: no waste baskets, no hair dryer, the coffee pot was not plugged in and I had to unplug a lamp and move the desk and get on my hands and knees to plug it in. On the other hand, there was a USB port right on the nightstand. That was very handy. I loved the bed and the couch was very comfy.

The property was all we needed for 1 night, the only issue our room A/C was not functioning properly and even though we were in alaska in june A/C to sleep is necessary

It was fine for our one night stay.

Good location. Friendly front desk staff. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Good in room coffee. Good laundry facility. Lousy, lousy housekeeping service. We stayed for 7 nights and our room was cleaned ONCE. WE EVEN REMINDED ROOM CLEANERS TO CLEAN OUR ROOM TO NO AVAIL. WE secured clean towels every afternoon from the carts ourselves. We removed our own rubbish from our room. This was the only black mark but it’s a major one.

Traveling with a coworker to check out Anchorage since we are working with native populations in a village. We’re first placed in a first floor room facing parking lot with old water damaged carpet. Front staff was able to move us after a bit of complaining. They do have security on sight. The second day maid service skipped our room and management had no idea why. Maids never replaced sugar for coffee. The room is oddly designed. Only one sink outside the bathroom. The toilet doesn’t have a lid so you can’t put your clothes anywhere when showering. Just not comfortable. During checkout they were accommodating by letting us check out late and kept our luggage since we had a late flight. It’s a close walk to downtown. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Would have been better to just stay at the Hilton since this place’s rates are not low enough to make up for its shortcomings.

We arrived around noon from our cruise to drop off our luggage or do an early check-in and we were met with an attitude. One of the attendance was very short with us. The next morning, I tried to get coffee and the same person gave me a big attitude when I asked her are there any cups available and she reached behind the bar and said here handing me one, got coffee out of the dispenser that was cold and there was no creamers available and had to go ask her if I could have some cream and was met with an attitude and she gave the other person the cream and said here you give it to them. Came back down for the breakfast and there was no food available in any of the warming trays and they were out of coffee. I would never stay in a Sheridan again if this is how they run their hotels.

Expensive room for what you get. The room was clean but run down old moldy stains on window ac, blackout drapes that did not worked and very noisy room. Paper thin walls I could literally hear all the neighbors and the ppl having breakfast. The continental breakfast was very basic and not at all appealing. The only thing that I liked was the expedited check in and out. If you can afford get something else!!!

Great location downtown

Excellent hotel. Only negative is that they do not have microwaves in the room. That's a given for most hotels. Enjoyed my stay and the beds were so comfortable. Will come back.

Great value. Only thing missing was a microwave in the room. There is one in the lobby. Not sure if I got a free upgrade but there was a sitting room in my room that I did not expect, complete with a door separating it from the sleeping area. Complete with a second TV. Very nice!

Great stay. The hotel is in a walkable distance to some attractions in city centre. Staff friendly and supportive. And the room is excepcional, spacious, confortable, with a living room, fridge, Coffee, plus.... Today they gave us a free complimentary breakfast. And the restaurant very recommrnded. Great food as well. Thnak you.

Unfortunately, upon arrival I was informed that the system was for maintenance, only to find out that there were no serviceable rooms and that this has been an on going issue for several hours.

The hotel is clean, staff is friendly. Only giving 3 stars because we had to evacuate at 3am due to a fire in the laundry room.

It was an ok place to stay

Enclosed parking and plenty of spots. Room walls a bit thin and could hear ppl in halls and upstairs but nothing more than is to be expected in a hotel. Room was clean and staff was friendly!

The Front desk staff were wonderful and very helpful during our stay. They gave us good tips for where to go. Answered transportation questions, and allowed us late check out. Late check out made our last day enjoyable! All hotel staff were polite and helpful. Hotel was clean and rooms are large.

From the time we checked in until we checked out the staff was super friendly and helpful. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The dining options at the hotel were also very reasonable. "Kiki", the young lady who ran the restaurant, was so helpful to all the guests and wanted to make sure everyone was happy with their meal and bar options. All of these people deserve raises. Our room was beautiful and quiet.

The staff was very attentive and accommodating at what was a very difficult time for my wife and me. The concern and understanding by all, especially Karlo, was very comforting. The breakfast buffet was fresh and tasty, and the service was great.

Was in a good location. The room was nice but carpet was dirty smelled heavily of urine like a kid may have peed all over the floor between the beds. The staff were amazing. The bar out back was very loud until 2am no fault of the hotel. Bring ear plugs for weekends in the summer.

It was an old building in a shady area.Going in & out of the hotel didn’t feel very safe.

Needs updates

Older hotel at good location

It was a decent hotel but not for $370 per night. First they said their room key system had failed (mine worked though), then they gave me a room with one bed when I had confirmed 2 queens. Luckily they were able to change it. Then at 3AM, I woke up to water dripping from the smoke detector. Luckily only half of the bed got wet. I went to the front desk to change a room and they said they don't have any extra room. Then they said they will send in a technician at 6am. 30 min later the water dripping stopped so I told them no need to send someone in at 6am. But NOBODY visited after that or even asked me if we were ok, and even though I checked "want the room serviced" when I checked in, our room was never refreshed for 4 nights. Luckily I didn't have to use the half of the bed so I just let it go. Toilet paper holder was broken off the wall and it was missing. Carpet was dingy and furniture had a lot of visible scratches. Maybe $370 is not expensive in Alaska during high season, but it was a disappointing stay. To be fair, location is good and you can walk to many downtown restaurants.

It was quite expensive, but comparable to other properties. The rooms were large, and we had excellent service.

The stff was friendly and air-conditioning

The hotel was overall not updated, but I didn’t really care because the price was cheap. The one thing I did care about is that we had no air conditioning in our room so it was 80° in there. And it was over 80° outside. Also their shuttle did not work so we had to pay for a ride.

The property was great. Room was clean and spacious for myself and two other guests. With the bathroom was all one room, but it was manageable.

Clean modern room/suite. Very well done and a super friendly staff. Nice fitness room superior to other hotels in its class.

Understanding Staff

We were on a family vacation from Georgia. This was our last night before catching a plane home later the next day. One of our party became sick and was unable to leave by the check out time. This staff was fantastic. We were allowed to stay in our room until the time of our flight. They were all wonderful!!

Room location assignment

Am curious in knowing how rooms are assigned? Husband and I were given room at end of first floor, under stairs, next to very busy road (with exciting Saturday night drag racing.) Son and girlfriend given room top floor, middle of building. Reservations made simultaneously, both paid by my card. Logarithmic? Visual? Just wondering how these decisions are made. Disappointing to think it might be ageism.

Extremely nice

Front desk staff at check in and check out were very helpful and friendly. They held our bags when we checked out so that we could go shopping at the mall.

Location and exterior was a little rough. Homeless sifting through the dumpster and hotel garbage bins. Hotel could use some updating and polish. When making the reservation I chose this hotel because it included breakfast in the price. Big sign that said “Breakfast Buffet $17” for a mind of normal hotel breakfast. We passed on breakfast!

Nice rooms

It was pretty clean, some stains on our comforter and carpet. We booked a king room and got a queen room because they sold out of kings. That was disappointing. Staff is very friendly, they kept our room clean and stocked with everything!

I would stay here again just for the AMAZING staff! Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. They are fantastic! Hotel is “ok” but in par with the others. Very clean and welcoming.

This hotel is fine. Nothing fancy and no breakfast included; a bagel is $6. The room was clean though and had extra space with the small living room area.

This was perfect for our stay when traveling the 13-hour railroad trip from Fairbanks to Anchorage. It was close to the station and a quick Uber ride from there. The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable. I did have to use the laundry facilities and those were great as well. It did use quarters and the front desk made change for me. Highly recommend!

Staff went out of their way to make my stay very comfortable. The room was excellent. Adding a microwave to the room would have made it outstanding.

Stay somewhere else

The first thing we noticed was the "comforters" on the beds had little balls in between the quilting where the stuffing had wadded up into little hard balls. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was gone. The Kleenex had 2 left. The soap dispensers in the shower were empty. Otherwise the room was clean and smelled nice.

The room needed a couple little repairs...nothing major. The lady at the desk was very nice and the room was very clean. It was a perfect stay and we had everything we needed!

Convenient Aging

Great price point, staff great, wonderful breakfast and wait staff.

I would not order food from hotel. Everything is frozen and not fresh.

Staff was amazing. We are night shift healthcare workers and got off work hoping they would allow us to check in early since we would be leaving early and they accommodated our request with no issues! Sometimes the weather keeps us close to the hospital for call-ins and we will use them again for sure!

thumbs down on the no locals policy

I was extremely annoyed about their "no locals" policy, and if they have a non locals policy, hotels.com should know about it. I book locally when the weather is terrible, which is was last week, and I need to stay in town because it's impossible to get home. 5 stars for the desk clerk who had mercy and let me check in, 0 stars for the administrator who created the policy.
