Great location.

Great location and walking distance to all restaurants, shops and beach. Spacious apartment with balcony and was well equipped. We had a few issues with a terrible smell coming up from drains in bathrooms- reported it to reception and they sent someone to fix that day, however after 24hrs, the smell came back. We also had issues with getting the tv to work, again reported to reception and they fixed, but we were unable to get any local channels the entire stay. Cleaning could have been better, pistachio nut under bed on arrival and fluff on floor. Also found that doors were a little grotty and mirrors still had finger prints on them. There is no servicing to apartment, so if you have a longer stay, you will need to wash your towels.

The room was spacious. Washer dryer was a blessing after spending days at the beach. 2 minute walk to the beach.

Dated and a little dirty

Check in was great and the team brilliant, location was perfect. The apartment itself was dated and a little dirty. Some odd smells coming out of the carpets (damp) and from behind the fridge. One shower was unusable due to broken shower head and the towels were stained and burn marked. We tried to speak to reception but as it was public holiday weekend the desk was always closed. All in all it was ok, but I dont think we will back any time soon.

The air conditioning wasn't working-all three units. Ceiling fan not working, we were left a portable air conditioning that was put in the corner of the room with no directions. The room profile showed a view-there wasn't one! We booked for two nights but only stayed one due to the disappointment.

The fridge handle kept coming off when trying to open it. Got a huge dong on my head from it. You may need to look at it to find out what is happening. Main bedroom handle is loose.

We had a nice stay. Apartment was smaller than expected and the toaster did not work. Otherwise great place to stay.

This property was clean, updated and had all the necessary things needed for a self contained unit. I was very happy staying here.

Strange smell in apartment

The staff at reception was helpful. They held our bags after we checked out until we picked them up on the way to the airport. The reception hours are limited so you have to make special arrangements if you are checking in or out after hours. The hotel is near many restaurants and shops and close to the beach and walking distance to the wharf. The room was comfortable but we were given a room on the second floor which was less desirable than ones higher up. It was a good place to stay for our couple day trip to Mooloolaba.

Really clean and modern, staff were lovely. Just a few things that were bothersome, there wasn’t a lot of space in the lounge area as there was quite a lot of furniture for the small space. The apartment would really benefit from some block out blinds as the sun shines straight into your eyes in the main bedroom each morning, the bed is also not very comfortable. We really loved the rainfall shower head, the cleanliness and the beautiful views of the glasshouse mountains. Overall good experience, could just do with a few minor changes.

The apartment was very good, great shower but water leaked under door. Good tv with free fox and wifi. The name “First Light” gave me expectations of a bright light filled accomodation however as it was on the lowest level we only had glimpses of sky let alone water glimpses. I guess someone has to end up here but I’d only stay again on a higher floor.

Great and convenient location to Mooloolaba beach, shops and restaurants. Free carpark was a bonus. Staff were friendly. Apartment was clean and had all amenities and kitchen utensils.

Clean, great location and peaceful

Very small bathroom, could not fit in the shower door and had to shower with the door open. Toilet is also weird facing right against the wall.

A lovely property in a great area, with our only issue being the size of the unit (802) is very small. There is only a 2 seater lounge in a very small living area. For a couple it is OK however this is a 2 bedroom unit. I would hate to have 4 people in here. The unit was spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly. It is walking distance to the Esplanade and Coles shopping centre. We recommend for a couple. It is good value for money.

My daughter and her friends had a great stay over schoolies week. So convenient to everything they needed. The unit was lovely although the lounge could have been a bit bigger.

I had to spend a lot of time in the apartment due to bad weather. I stayed in a two bedroom apartment with limited access for one. Although it had modern facilities, it was not a comfortably furnished apartment, and the furniture was cheap and tired. For dining there were hard stools and a high bar bench instead of a table and chairs. There was also only a small sofa only suitable for two people (sitting very close!), and no coffee table or lamps in the open living/kitchen area. As a solo traveller it was manageable, but it is not enough seating for four people with two bedrooms. The ensuite was tiny but again ok for one, and clean. Definitely not enough room for a couple. I had expected to have access to a normal size bathroom when I booked an apartment. The lift security buttons were temperamental, so I got stuck in the lift a few times when it didn’t recognise my floor. I liked that it was close to the shops and beach.

Great location. Showing some wear and tear. Bedroom carpet not real clean but thats carpet.

I booked for 2 weeks and paid $3666 which was ok but I was put in a studio room for that price and if it wasn’t for one lovely staff member Shearna I would have been left if this tiny room for the duration of my stay! She was so obliging and endeavoured to make my stay as comfortable as possible! Shearna moved me to a larger ocean view room which made one our stay comfortable. Most of the other staff were not very helpful at all apart from the cleaners who worked very hard.

We were given a second level unit with no view, limited light, little character. We needed to have lights on day and night. Not as advertised. Ensuite needed some attention re mould, and the toilet was a joke..you had to slide in sideways with a wall hard up against your knees. I’m only short, anyone tall would have si sit sideways on the toilet…funny when your young…no so much with age!

Second time I have stayed at this property and it does not disappoint. Reception was friendly and professional. Rooms clean, comfortable and convenient. Only feedback would be nice to have beach towels.

Great spot with easy access to everything Mooloolaba has to offer.

Great location, but the apartment was a bit of a bummer. Located directly outside the gym, noisy and the smell wasn’t pleasant walking through the hallway. Balcony was not a balcony, more so a wind tunnel, with a view of a few plants in the garden and a wall. Right next to the pool, which was loud. The garden was also full of cigarette butts. Upon arrival our door would not shut. Could have been better, but you get what you pay for.

First Light was lovely with nice people and a beautiful location. I will definitely book there again.

The location of the property is great. Good access to the local area and attractions. The apartment was average for the price paid. Unfortunately the blinds in the apartment have been installed incorrectly and do not have block out features so a lot of light enters the room at night making it hard to sleep. The stove also was not working and the shower head in both bathrooms were not working correctly. Staff did record our feedback so hopefully the concerns will be resolved.

Thank you to the staff at First Light Mooloolaba for being most helpful during our stay. Pros: modern, quiet, great location, staff work ethic, friendliness and helpfulness, foxtel, good internet and wifi, good amount of storage in rooms, loads of dining options, groceries nearby, generally quite clean, hair dryer provided, safe parking, fast elevator. Cons: apartments are a little small- even the 2 bedroom, bathroom is ready for a deep clean, rain shower head and water pressure was not great, seals on shower glass need replacing, toilet is narrow, keys did not work on public access doors (staff did their best to help and we could get around this), power outlets were behind the beds and not totally accessible, dryer took forever to dry clothes, no booklets to work tv, stovetop, oven, or microwave which were not easy to use, parking not suitable for large 4x4s.

Good location. Unit did not have a nice smell on arrival and for the duration. Fridge also had a smell every time you opened it, maybe fish left in it at some stage. If using the toilet we ended up using the main bathroom unit as if you are anything over 4 foot tall your legs hit the wall. Also be aware of which currency you are being charged at, USD instead of AUD

Close to everything. Staff at desk were very pleasant and very helpful.

Great location close to beach, shops and eateries. Facilities were great as we had all the kitchen appliances and a washing machine which was very useful. Could have been cleaner. We stayed a week and hadn't been left enough toiletries to cover that so had to keep going to ask which was a bit annoying, i.e. 2 toilet rolls for 2 people for a week. Easy access and parking. Would stay again.

Dry close to everything

Even though it was a street back from the beach, it was still very close to everything and could walk to almost everywhere you wanted to go

The location was fabulous. It was within an easy walkable distance to the beach shops restaurants and supermarkets. The apartment itself was a good size well kept and clean. The reception staff was very good. We had an initial problem with the internet but eventually it was sorted after reception staff persevered with it. The terrace was long and narrow and only gott a little bit of sun

Beautiful apartment and fantastic location with wonderful costumer the only issue was cleanliness. Apartment had not been cleaned properly, hair was in the bathroom, bed sheets stained and dead cockroach found on the floor.

Great location! Great views from top floor. No A/C in master bedroom. A/C dripped continuously from the roof over the entire kitchen. WIFI was horrendous. Seemed a bit tired for a penthouse but very big. Overall a pleasant stay and the room was just a place to rest our heads. The beach was where I needed to be 😊

Great location and close to everything

The apartment was neat and tidy, we had a great view of the mountains. The only issue was the shower heads. Most of the water holes weren’t working so pressure was poor. Otherwise we had a lovely stay

It was a great location with brilliant access to the cafes, beaches & to Mooloolaba wharf.

It was nice however the pool isn’t very family friendly, with one depth the whole way, and the blinds in the rooms let so much light in so you wake up very early. The vacuum didn’t work well and the dryer didn’t work at all. The floors inside our room were a bit dirty and gritty, especially on the balcony and their is mould on the roof in the ensuite. No access to little kids shows on the tv. The location was perfect however.

We had to change rooms because the room we were given was not up to standard. It was like we were staying in a teenagers rental property. Bedding and furniture was well below standard.

Good location and just one block from the beach, walking distance to cafes and restaurants. Clean and tidy units but TV was not good (both free to air and cable tv). We had a family sedan and parking space was very small. If there is another vehicle parked next to us then it is very difficult to get out of our car as such a narrow parking space.

Beautiful modern apartments with plenty of space for 4 adults. Great to have washer/drying facilities and balcony for BBQs. Only thing we NEEDED to bring was toothpaste and deodorant! All other toiletries are provided including wash powder, washing up liquid etc.

Nice but lacking

Nice position easy walk to beach, restaurants… shower very weak, clothes dryer very weak, a bit worn in the fittings in bathroom. Beds feel every movement of partner, pillows only massively too big or flat like a pancake, sleep quality not great. Nice restaurants right out the door. Better options around Mooloolaba

Disappointed

Great position. Room disappointing. No view, as stated online. Probably should have asked for another room. Room was behind the pool, gate made a double grinding sound and woke me 2 out of three mornings, cleaner, not just once but quite a few for half an hour. Reported this on leaving.

Good location, nice rooms, allowed us late check out at a reasonable price

It is very comfortable. Each bedroom and sitting room has air-conditioning, very cool on a humid weather. We can also watch the youtube there, it also has a nice balcony which we can sit there having cup coffee and watching the nice view around. The property manager is very friendly, she answered all our quiries and helped us to light up the electric cooktop. She is very polite and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to stay there and enjoying their holidays.

Nice family long weekend

Great, modern, clean unit. Easy check in and check out. Beautiful hinterland views. Great central location but without the noise.

The apartments have everything you need. Hairdryer, soaps, detergents, washing machine, dryer, iron etc. Great if you like to pack light. Plenty of room for 4 people (2 bed apartment/4 beds), desk area is handy to do some official work. Very clean and modern. Location is an easy walk to so many restaurants, cafes, bars, beaches, boats, bike hire and shops. Under garage parking for cars, bikes etc. 2nd stay here, booked again already!

Good location

The fridge in the property was very stinky. We stayed during the Christmas period and we had to do some in-house cooking and use the fridge. Every time the fridge was opened the whole apartment would stink for more than 20 minutes. It was unbearable and to experience this after paying so much money is unacceptable. I am pretty sure people who had stayed previously would have complained about this.

Clean and good parking

Conveniently located, close to the esplanade and a small shopping mall with a pub and bottle shop.It was clean and quite new. It was however the smallest 2 bedroom unit we have ever stayed in. Ideal for 2 adults and a child. Good security.

Great view

Easy access location, close to beach and shops/esplanade. Lovely rooms. Clean and well kept. Not a full ocean view but still lovely. Comfy beds. Pool was on 2nd floor and not overly big but fine for a swim.

Nice clean and modern apartment. Great communication but the location is the winner. Just 1 street behind the famous Mooloolaba Esplanade and less than 150m from the beach. Easy access to all Mooloolaba has to offer.
