Good location near airport

Good location near airport , everything was perfect

Beautiful and new property. Enjoyed the pools but wish it also had a spa pool. Perfect overnight stay after arriving at the airport on a red eye flight. Would definitely stay again.

Great service, tidy rooms and helpful staff

2nd time staying here, certainly not the last. Everything is great about this hotel: the breakfast, the location, the staff, the rooms.

Top Notch

Just for one night to attend an event in the city. From the moment we arrived the staff were, efficient, attentive and friendly. Room was beautifully clean and perfect for us and our grandson

Absolutely Outstanding

Absolutely outstanding - the warm cookies on arrival at reception was very unexpected as were the welcome texts from the duty manager asking if the room was okay. It was very okay. A great hotel with friendly helpful staff, and a superb pool and fitness area.

Spent several nights at this hotel on two different occasions. Both times the staff went above and beyond to be helpful. It's a beautiful property with excellent amenities.

Lovely hotel in a good location, lots of food options around the area and a good spot to stay if off to the airport the next day.

Absolutely stunning facility, from the super friendly staff, to the yummy welcome cookies. The room was clean and comfortable and the bar inviting.

No free WiFi or water

Stay here if you want to be a member of IHG. otherwise you will not get free WiFi and bottled water in the room. Disappointed that IHG had to resort to such means to get customers to sign up.

Close to SH1, in own grounds. Services walking distance. Excellent 2 queen bed room. Beds very comfy with 4 good pillows each. Triple glazed so almost soundproof. Good rain shower. Very good full breakfast (extra $). Only downside the safe didn’t work.

Great place to stay

Had a one night stay after flying. Great experience. Very clean, friendly staff, comfortable beds. There were also quite a few restaurants close to the hotel.

Very nice hotel right off highway 1. Highly recommended!

So easy if you are heading to south of Auckland! We got off at Auckland Airport and drove 20 minutes on an evening flight. Great to be out of the city, and on our away. The double tree is perfect - clean, rooms up to date and setting lovely with a pool as well. Highly recommend!

It is a quiet area in Papakura. Easy access to highway.. 15 min drive from Rainbow End.

It was great but I have the problem with the lights fell off on the side of the bed. Couldn’t turn the lights at night and I have to wait for a few hours to get in to my room for my meeting and so on. I feel l needed to be compensated for my stay because I have two uncomfortable nights of sleeping. But overall it’s a great hotel I will recommend to my friends and family

Great property and location. The staff is absolutely amazing. Best stay in a very long trip around NZ. BEST IN CLASS, you won’t be disappointed with a stay in this hotel.

Loved our stay, kitchen hand are fantastic.

First they said our credit card had declined which was an error when they retried and re entered the number it worked then we asked to use the ev charger they said they would get it going then phone to say it was not working and someone would look at it tomorrow we went down to talk to them and they said they had reported the error, they then phoned our room at 10:40 p.m. and woke us up to say it was now working

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was welcoming and friendly and had great recommendations for our travels.

We were very happy with our stay and will definitely return. Reception staff was helpful and professional. It was a nice touch that at check-in, we were welcome with a freshly baked cookie/biscuit to take to our room. The food and service at the hotel restaurant Ethereal was excellent.

Excellent modern comfortable hotel to stay at. Great swimming pool area & great hotel grounds. Nice high quality restaurant. Biggest problem was dealing with Hotels.com when I made a booking error. The Hilton Hotel was very helpful trying to assist sorting it out but Hotels.com was quite obtuse. Absolutely recommend this hotel.

Charging $4.50 for a bottle of water and have to pay for coffee with breakfast??? Good hotel but we expect coffee to be included with breakfast

Get room 326 - staff was great - provided ice - 2 free glasses of wine - great place to go for a run - and walking distance to the best bakery we’ve ever seen worldwide.

Facilities were great, but service was disappointing. Little info on check in, waiting times at the bar & restaurant and couldn’t get through to roomservice for an hour, then gave up and drove to get food elsewhere.

Its away from the city but easy enough to jump on the motorway. Great location, we enjoyed our stay.

Safe, quiet and modern.

Super friendly staffs from the front desk to restaurant waitress. It seems like they all have a good employer to take good care of them. Brand new hotel and all the facilities are good. Good size of gym with towels, drinks and fruits also provided.

Everything was wonderful. The staff was great and very accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Plenty of parking and a really convenient location.

It is the only hotel of a high standard in the area.

Room was lovely and amenities very good including weight scales in the bathroom. Find that the mirror in the bathroom and the vanity bench depth makes it very difficult to apply makeup(woman’s prospective) designed by a male? Bed was luxurious! So comfy. Nice to have complimentary water bottles. Food and beverage very very expensive! Explains why Taco Bell and MacDonalds are across the road! Breakfast buffet very nice and catered for asians which was nice touch. Noted only 2 wait staff working the floor evening and morning so there was waiting time for orders. There was a manager/maitre’d floating around. Had to ask for drink service in the bar - bar lady had gone for break and manager oblivious to people wanting service… odd. Overall enjoyed our stay decided to spoil ourselves after 6 week European holiday. Experience didn’t quite measure up for the prices charged compared to where we had just been in Bangkok and Paris. Train hospo staff to read the client after all they pay their wages…

Very friendly staff both at front of house and kitchen especially chef who cooked vegan dishes. The gym was amazing and roomsevice. We would recommend to friends and family 😃

Doubletree Hilton Karaka

We had a very nice stay. Room was excellent and cleanliness was top notch. Unfortunately a few things let it down in our own minds. No pen and writing paper in the room, minimal milk, found a little plastic clip in the cup. Found it after finishing a cup of tea (Unfortunately didn't take a photo). Not great selection of tv channels apart from sport or news. No side tables although the couch had wide firm cushions so used that instead. No complimentary bottled water unless you were a silver, gold or diamond Hilton member. No complimentary toiletry pack found in other hotels. No front of house staff waiting to seat us. We had to wait until someone rushed over. Barista coffee tasted burnt. Reception staff were pleasant but not overly engaged with guests. Overall room stay was very comfortable.

Two-year-old hotel with four floors. Rooms are fair sized with two queen beds. Easy parking right nearby. Quiet and clean.

Clean room, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings

Very accommodating and friendly staff. We were part of a large family group staying for a couple of nights around NYE and the bar/restaurant staff were very patient and accommodating especially with the more demanding members of our party. Rooms are new and clean with wireless charging facility in rooms. The pool is heated and suitable for families with plenty of poolside towels and chairs/space to relax. There’s a well equipped gym next to the pools. Room service is quick and front house staff are very kind. Josephine makes excellent coffees and the gentleman minding the restaurant walk-in delivers exceptional service. The restaurant menu while offering great food, was a bit limited for a stay of few nights. Extended brunch menu may also prove popular amongst guests and locals. But one can always head across the road or Uber if they have worked their way through the restaurant menu. However this becomes challenging if staying across stat holiday periods where most offsite restaurants are closed. Overall we would definitely recommend staying here and commend the team on exceptional service standards!
