Great location
The employee at the reception was very nice, knowledgeable and helped us organized our bus route to go to Edinburgh old town.
Unfortunately felt isolated as there was not enough amenities outside the hotel.
clean and modern, very comfortable stay
Lovely hotel - can't wait to come back
Lpved our stay partner view of bridge. Pulled curta6back and could watch all day! Bed comfy and best pillows ever had in hotel. Nice big shower with soap dispenser instead of tiny bottles that you never use. Will find it hard to stay anywhere else now when we are visiting family.
Nice place the wind caused quite a lot of noise outside at night I think something was loose on roof
Excellent stay, lovely food. Room was perfect, struggling to think of anything that could have been improved
Great stay with excellent views
Excellent stay at Queensferry. Lovely room with views of the Queensferry Bridge. Very comfortable bed and bathroom was fully stocked with toiletries. Shore restaurant was excellent for both evening meal and especially the complimentary buffet breakfast.
Great Hotel
Great stay, lovely hotel looking forward to visiting again. Comfy large bed with great pillows, great shower. Staff all very friendly and helpful with makes such a difference. Portion size at dinner on the Belly Pork was on the small side for my husband but I enjoyed my meal. Breakfast was a buffet but loads of choice, the food was hot and tasty. Loads of parking too
There was a drain smell that got a lot worse overnight.
As states above. Wonderful hotel, walkable area especially the Queensferry bridge and the cleanliness
Room with a view
Very clean, modern room with a great view of the bridge. Bed was comfy and breakfast was good.
Long wait to check in and check out in excess of 15 mins. Food excellent.
We’ll be back
Easily accessible for travelling, stunning view of 3 bridges. Spotless, great rooms and lovely staff.
Great staff and amazing staff
What I didn't like: The fact that I wasn't given a chance to choose the room I liked when booking. Please give option. I had to top up a lot of money to get the one I loved. What I liked: The receptionist was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Friendly staff at the restaurant, not to mention the Waitress. She was the best.
Although next to the forth bridge be mindful that most rooms that look out over the bridge are noisy. We had to upgrade to a better room as we are both very light sleepers and the noise from the traffic over the bridge was too noisy for us. On the whole the hotel food was good. Staff were most helpful and the location good. We got the train into Edinburgh from Queensferry north which is a 20 minute walk away from the hotel. Train into Edinburgh takes around 25 minutes. Would I go here again? I would but would go for a room without the view.
Perfect location from city and airport
Very welcoming check in staff made everything easy.
Nice hotel. Good food and service.
Best Hilton yet
To date this is the best Hilton I’ve stayed in. Room was beautiful and the finishing touches were great; incredibly clean; convenient location with good sound-proofing; fab restaurant too with great local dishes and attentive staff
Hilton Quality Hotel
Hotel stay was good.nice spacious room and restaurant was good aswell.
My stay.
Good stay, excellent food and comfortable bed and quiet rooms. Car park was half empty when I parked but this morning quite full and remains to be seen if I can actually get in my car!
Nice rooms, had room service, food came quickly and was hot
Very nice hotel. Well staffed. Friendly. Very good restaurant. Modern room. Highly recommended.
4+ star experience
Excellent hotel stay! Best stay during our travels, clean, spacious, and what a view of the bridges and river! The shower was the best, bed was comfortable, and service was quite helpful. Ample parking, great location near the Edinburgh Airport, and the restaurant was a fantastic experience!
Great. Recommenced.
Stayed here for Scotland Comic Con as the 747 bus stops right outside the hotel and goes to the Royal Highland Center in 15 minutes. Cheaper than staying right near the Comic Con. Very happy with my stay. Reveived a very warm welcome from the lovely woman on the reception who gave me a cookie and made a call to see if my room was ready 2 hours before check-in when i arrived early. Would stay here again.
Close location to travelling to highlands for the day.
They were not done channing the room. Dirty towels and someone's key left in room. Otherwise, it was great. The beds are very firm, though.
The hotel was a beautiful view overlooking the new road bridge. Accommodation was excellent but dinner was a disaster. My sea bass was beautifully cooked but it came swimming in a heavy sauce which completely spoilt the dish. The service was dreadful and it took more than 20 minutes to clear my main course. The Maitre D busied himself without actually achieving anything and the staff were totally clueless. I ordered coffee (double espresso with a dash of hot water) which was tepid when it arrived - why?!? Breakfast was completely different matter. The restaurant was busy with a large Chinese party but staff were extremely pleasant and busied themselves offering excellent service.
clean, spacious and comfortable. amazing view of the iconic Forth bridges, which are also easily accessible
Friendly and helpful receptionist. Dinner was very good. Good location for stopover when travelling and plenty of places nearby to visit.
Overall good. We arrived late and Restaurant was closing at 9-00pm and the room service menu was very limited. Also, the drain in the shower was clogged and the shower overflowed onto the floor.
Good
Overnight stay
Over night stay whilst going on a cruise. Very comfortable and food was great. Really comfortable beds too. Close to view the bridges.
Single dining option, and no close by alternatives. The room was clean and the toiletries were good. The room was equipped with a TV, kettle, instant coffee, tea, iron and hair dryer. The room service staff were a little rude. I ordered room service and when I didn't have exact change I was scolded. Not my problem. However in restaurant dining was a good experience. The room was not sound proof and I got up several times duee to others on the floor closing doors of taking on the hallways. Getting into Edinburgh City was an adventure and taxi prices that front desk ordered were pricey
Happy Customer
Great service. Room had a good view of the Firth of Forth. Plenty of space in the room and everything you need for a short stay.
Stayed at Queensferry DoubleTree for one night and had a lovely experience. Staff are welcoming, kind and quick to help you with questions/concerns. Booked dinner at The Shore grill in the hotel and was extremely impressed by the delicious food and stunning view of the bridges. Would stay here again when visiting from Canada!
I liked the view of the bridges from my bedroom window. I didn’t like the cost of my room being double price of other dates because of Royal Highland show.
Enjoyed our brief stay!
.
Overall disappointing. Room: We stayed in a corner junior suite with a great view. But that was the only good thing about the hotel. The room appeared poorly maintained. There were stains on the furniture carpet the paint was chipping on the walls and the refrigerator was not working. When brought to attention was told they could ask cleaning staff to come in the morning however could not do anything more as was fully booked and did not expect that to change tomorrow rather than waiting to at least check the following day. The following day when we went to follow up with the front desk they had no idea what we were talking about. Staff: did not greet us or help with our luggage. During dinner we were ignored most of the time. Waited through half of dinner just to receive water after asking several times but noticed other tables being tended to. I will say there was one female employee in the restaurant who delivered the food and was great. Overall frustrated dissatisfied and disappointed. Not what you would expect from Hilton or a supposed 4 star hotel. Customer service was poor after bringing my concerns there was no real response effort or follow up. I ended up checking out and that was also not a positive experience. The women at the desk did not really give a response. Thank you very much Expedia. I believe the only reason I received a refund was due to Expedia. Definitely would not recommend this hotel.
Traveling from the USA - this is the perfect location and hotel! Love the warm cookie upon arrival, friendly staff, and clean room with a great view. The breakfast was delicious and checkout was a breeze.
£200 for 1 night prior to early flight and there was a constant “bang” all night every 10 seconds which ensured I received no sleep which completely defeated the point of staying at the hotel.
Great place to stay for easy access to airport. Restaurant on premise was superb
Staff were great
Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel and great for business, the only down side I would have expected them to provide a bottle of water in the room.
Warm cookie on checkin was delicious!
Lovely hotel, great view of bridge
Stunning Hotel
Amazing as always. Love this stunning hotel. Faultless everytime and one of the best views from a room you’re likely to find. 👌
Gorgeous hotel and lovely warm welcome from the staff at reception. Thank you.
Overnight stay
We arrived to no lamps or TV working. The fuse had tripped. This was sorted very quickly. Before going out we informed reception our heating wasn't working. When we came back in, it still wasn't working. Girl on reception was lovely and said she could get us a room at the other end of the hotel and that assistance would be given to move us, but unfortunately my husband has mobility problems and also due to the fact we were only there 1 night it seemed all like hassle so we stayed put. The View from our room was also horrendous although I dont think any of the rooms had a good view. Rooms were large, beds, bed linen towels and toiletries were great. Unfortunately ately buffet breakfast was also a bit of a let down. The hot stuff was if anything only luke warm and everything looked and tasted a bit dried out. 2nd visit here, but don't think we will hurry back
Disappointed
Disappointing, rooms 3 tone grey, average food, small portions, all round hospitality not up to scratch, wasn’t even asked if I had a nice stay on check out
Another great stay
Had another great stay here. This is now my go to place when travelling in the area. Very quiet room, amazing showers and wonderful beds. The breakfast is always good, great choice. Thanks
Great stay
Great views over the Firth of Forth. Modern hotel with great service, restaurant and food.
Simply the best!
The best hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time. Everything about it was superb I was amazed by the cleanliness and attention detail for such a big chain. The staff were excellent in the food was beautiful which is made even more special by that absolutely wonderful view of the three bridges from the restaurant. The room is also super modern and trendy. Can’t wait to return!
Fantastic loved the views
Best place to be
Be aware that there is no shuttle. We only needed to get to the train station, but couldn’t get a taxi or an Uber to come to this hotel. Taxis came sporadically. One lady had waited over 2 hours. Staff called for a taxi, and after we got into someone else’s, we went back to the desk to check on our taxi. We had been waiting over an hour at this point. The staff member said that she was unable to get us a taxi. But she never told us that. This apparently was because it was raining?
Comfortable room, clean and modern bathroom
Comfortable and quiet. Good location for our purposes.
Was amazing
Really convenient access to downtown on the bus.... wasnt worth deiving downtown as the bus was fast and direct Hotel was nice... good resturaunt and clean and up to date
Friendly staff, good restaurant
Smooth checking with friendly staff and a most comfortable room
One Night Only
All the staff that I had interaction with were fantastic, 10/10. I’ve read in some other reviews that the hotel is difficult to get to without a car, utter nonsense, the north bound bus stop is a 2 minute walk and the south bound bus stop is a 4 minute walk. The bar had a good selection of Heineken brewery draught beers, the evening menu only had 1 vegan option, jackfruit balti, which was really good but something worth noting if it affects you. The breakfast buffet had an excellent range, catering for everyone from what I could see unless you’re extremely picky. The only real negative for me, and it may well only be select rooms, they’re not sound proofed. You can hear and be heard. My neighbour snoozed his alarm several times before 7a.m. Maybe I’m expecting too much but was a little disappointed with that. To finish on a positive, this is an ideal hotel if you’re visiting Edinburgh and don’t want to stay in the city. Fantastic local views over the Firth of Forth.
You need a car to get in/out of the hotel. As it is distant away from the city/town area. However, if you like quietness, this would be a good place for you. It would also be better if the Hotel can provide basic amenities (e.g., water, toothbrush and room slippers) for all rooms instead of differentiating the rooms and not giving them to some of the customers.
Very clean, lovely staff, Very modern, I though the only thing that let it down was the food. We had a breakfast there but was very average.
Nothing within walking distance - shops, dining, gifts.
Edinburgh and St Andrews
Convenient location, great breakfast and close to good restaurants (few minutes drive).
Twixmas break
Most amazing service been hotel many times staff helpful and nothing to much trouble love hilton double tree
Please don’t ruin a fantastic hotel !!
We stay here a lot this is a fabulous hotel staff are warming and friendly and breakfast is amazing. I think management need to have a think about some recent choices that will put me off possibly coming back and I think they will know straight away when I mention children running up and down the breakfast area that we’re friends of the staff and staying there and the smell of weed coming from the downstairs rooms possibly 105 area. This is such a brilliant hotel please don’t ruin it by putting authority money over guests that pay decent money for a fantastic hotel. Don’t let think go downhill !!
Will Return
Excellent relaxing hotel with great views. Food good, very clean and staff were all excellent, very professional and friendly. Kirsty on reception was a stand out being so helpful.
The property matches the images and description. As can be expected from a Hilton, the rooms were convenient, beautiful and well-thought-out. The hotel and rooms were clean, tidy and spacious.
Lovely hotel
Stay was perfect from start to finish. Helpful friendly staff Lovely deluxe room and lovely food and good service in restaurant with a view
great hotel !
fantastic hotel with great views from the restaurant over the queensferry bridge. lovely rooms, lovely staff, and very clean
Nice hotel with a good restaurant overlooking the Forth Road Bridge. Particularly convenient if you don’t want to be in the centre of Edinburgh.
very clean and comfortable .
9 out of 10
Very nice hotel couple of enyoying little things with room, bathroom door got stuck on floor when opening and towels hooks loose other wise excellent room, and you will need a car if want to go anywhere
We had two junior suites with king-sized beds and views of the bridge booked for our final night in Scotland. These rooms are amazing, and I wish we'd had more time to enjoy them. Nice, firm bed; snacks and waters provided for free. Good water pressure in the shower and a towel warmer too.
Great Hotel, Friendly Staff.
Hotel staff from reception to the daily room service ladies were all exceptionally pleasant and friendly. They were all very helpful. Very high standards of cleanliness.
Weekday stay
Very good stay. Fantastic view over the Forth
Excellent weekend
Superb!
great value option with lovely views of the bridge.. good for pre-flight stay.
Staff is lovely, food is very good and the overall cleanness is outstanding.
Stayed few times before and never disappointed. Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, food good, lovely location
Room should not have been rented out
Staff was friendly and not to blame for poor management decisions. Decent restaurant Now for the issue. Not sure about the history of our room but it had obviously flooded previously and the HVAC in the unit did not work and it was hot. Staff did find a small fan but the stay was not comfortable. Due to the location on the freeway leaving the window/door open was not an option.
Great location
This was the second night we had stayed here on our recent trip, perfect except for some external noise coming from what appeared to be a ventilation system for the kitchen
Could not fault it, spectacular
Great views! Great food, nice rooms
Air conditioning in our room stopped working at day 2, they moved us to another room, which was very inconvenient (we had to pack everything up), asked if they would comp us a meal or anything - their response was that they could only change our room - the price was on a room and nothing to do with the restaurant - basically told us, we could stay in the room with no air conditioning, change rooms or go somewhere else.
A perfect break!
Beautifully clean, well equipped, superb staff, massive bed great location
Beautiful hotel with great views
Had a lovely time at the hotel, gorgeous views, lovely spacious room. Seats in the room could be done with being a wee bit more comfortable but that's just my personal thoughts. Friendly staff, clean and would definitely go back.
Very clean and comfortable hotel- only downside you are looking out on the Forth Road Bridge so there is some road noise for the light sleeper.
Fantastic views of the Queensferry Crossing can be had from The Shore grill & bar. Modern well equipped gymnasium w/ 24hr access.
Room with a view
Excellent stay. Super friendly staff, great room with an amazing view, couldn’t fault anything
Fantastic stay
Large, bland room. Comfy bed. Fridge a helpful addition. Had a shower only to find I was standing in scummy water as drain blocked. House keeping hadn't replaced the toiletries after previous guest, left with opened sloppy seconds. TV didn't work. Bedside light didn't work.
