Well-lit path to entrance
Loved the location, had 2 walking paths from property right into rainforest. Clean spacious quiet room, the screened in porch was my favourite part. Did not really enjoy the restaurant- food was not that good for the price. Got the steak and it was very grisly. The hotel bar in Daintree village is the place to go eat- they had excellent food! The restaurant was also absolutely covered in spiders because it’s outside so would have liked to see some maintenance done regarding that issue. Just dust the webs off every day or 2 and that would be better. Didn’t feel very comfortable dining. That was the only bad part, everything else was excellent
We first got there and the no tv thing had us worried lol. But this lodge is absolutely beautiful. You go to sleep listening to the peaceful sounds of the waterfall and animals. The food is beautiful and the staff are so friendly. And cater to all your needs.
A high-quality hotel.
I love its tropical rainforest style! Being close to nature helps me relax both physically and mentally. The food is also amazing! I’ve recommended this hotel to many of my friends.
Perfect stay in the rainforest
Perfect stay at the Daintree Eco Lodge. The rooms are lovely and spacious. Really liked the ‘outside’ enclosed sala. All the villas are private and all you can hear are the sounds of birds and frogs. The staff are amazing. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and the service is impeccable. Food is delicious and they do great cocktails! We stayed for three nights and ate at the restaurant every evening. An absolute must is the ATV tour to the waterfall. You’ll get very wet so go in swimwear only. It was so much fun. 10/10 for us
We loved our stay in the Canopy Bayan - it was quiet and secluded - just the sounds of the rainforest. The bayan windows are entirely screened in, so you can leave the shutters open if you want to listen to the rainforest all night. The rest of the property is beautiful and we really enjoyed the food at the restaurant! I was thrilled they had a plant based menu! :)
Tragic
A beautiful place with great food but the worst bed I’ve ever slept in. It was truly like torture. Every time my husband breathed it shook. It hurt my body. All I wanted was to sleep after a long day of driving and I basically paid $350 to cry.
Rainforest retreat
Great place to stay in a stunning part of the world. Rooms are thoughtfully decorated and recommend the guided tour of the property. Learnt a lot.
Quiet Interlude.
Staff went above and beyond to ensure you felt welcome and settled upon arrival. The young Irishman was a fountain of knowledge about the facility, surrounding areas, nature in the area and naturally the food and drink. He epitomised high quality hospitality. The gentleman who took care of the rainforest gardens worked long hours and was always productively engaged. A very relaxed stay, even napped during the day, which is highly unusual.
Amazing place surrounded by rainforest! Individual units with screened windows was perfect to keep the bugs out but not the sounds of birds and rain. Staff was fantastic!
Great setting in the rainforest. Staff very helpful and friendly. Only issue on our visit is that it felt the lodge had opened a little too soon after the renovations required after Cyclone Jasper. Things didn't run as smoothly as we were expecting
Beautiful rainforest retreat, with beautiful view. Amazing staff and breakfast was fantastic! Property has waterfall trail. Too many mosquitoes, they were fierce.
It was beautiful with nature surrounding you during our stay. Staff were excellent. Friendly and very responsive.
Ideal for rainforest experience
Overall experience was excellent. Cabins were clean, spacious and set up to control rainforest sounds and light as needed. Also well protected against mossies and bugs. The restaurant was a stand out in terms of setting, service and food/wine. Location good for access to Daintree tours. Highly recommended.
We had a beautiful time. Due to a lot of the local businesses being closed we were super grateful that we could get all meals at the property. Food was delicious and the cocktails exceeded expectation. Staff were super friendly and helpful.
Ultimate customer service and great location
Great location and view. The staff were unbelievable, nothing was a problem and they went out of their way to make our stay perfect. I can’t remember the last time we received such great service from all a hotel. Spa treatment, private dinner on the deck and front counter customer service all amazing.
Perfect - relaxation in the rainforest
We stayed for 3 nights in October in a canopy bayan. Everything in the room seemed brand new, it was very clean, well maintained and comfortable. The setting was so relaxing and peaceful, it felt like you were in a treehouse in the canopy of the rainforest. I slept so well, and felt so refreshed and relaxed from our stay. All staff were friendly and attentive. Driving around the scenery is very pretty. We enjoyed trips up to Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge, a dawn photography cruise on the Daintree river with Daintree Boatman, and a scenic flight covering the reef and rainforest with Nautilus Aviation (from Port Douglas) during our stay. The rest of the time we relaxed....and this was the perfect place to do it.
Dinner wasn't good. Lobster Bisque was tasteless. Accommodation over priced
This really is the most peaceful break you could wish for! The staff are so attentive and look after you like you/re family. We found the food of an exceptional quality which for the distance from most restaurants astounding. Highly recommend!
Everyone at the eco lodge made you feel comfortable. The food was delicious and the location was fabulous!
Peaceful relaxing stay with great service
Stay was amazing- great hotel in an amazing tranquil setting. Staff were knowledgeable and super friendly that went above and beyond. Only comment would be in such a gorgeous location a nice/modern pool would have been nice if we were staying for longer. That being said I would not let that deter anyone.
Heaven in the middle of the Daintree
Amazing location with the forest literally a metre away from our balcony. Staff were incredibly helpful and their recommendations of places to visit were all awesome. Plus food to die for! Did not want to leave.
Great meals and dining options, beautiful surrounds.
Very nice Exclusive, private food was excellent enjoyed our short stay
Way overpriced for what you're getting. And eve if it was decently priced, still disappointing. I was expecting pristine conditions, but everything looked a bit rundown. The cabins were fairly dark, not bright and sunny like I was expecting. The staff were nice. The restaurant was pretty good but also overpriced. The place is beautiful but that's where it ends. Everything is a surcharge, it's quite annoying.
Beautiful location, great food.
Lovely hotel in the Daintree rainforest. The dinner was the highlight of our trip, beautiful food and lovely service. The rooms are not as luxurious as expected but still nice and clean.
Relaxing
A great little hidden unique stay
We loved the feeling of being so close to nature and yet enjoying a high level of comfort. The menu in the restaurant , although limited due to the small number of guests, was superbly prepared and presented and delicious. Our room was very clean and comfortable; and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful during our stay
Daintree eco lodge stay
Lovely serene setting and very friendly staff.
Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything seemed to close down very early however.
A true gem
The service was fantastic and the accommodation spectacular. A true gem everyone must experience.
An incredible resort nestled in the rainforest. The room was beautifully presented and the restaurant was superb. A truly enjoyable experience - highly recommend!
From the minute we arrived everyone was welcoming and friendly, answering all our questions about things to do in the area. The rooms are separate from each other and located in the rainforest canopy, we were in a Banyan room which I believe are still being renovated. The room #5 was clean with a nice enclosed balcony where you could enjoy a tea or coffee, read a book and listen to the birds. The restaurant is very nice and by a lagoon, the food was good, I though breakfast was very good. Our server who is also the yoga teacher was lovely and described the dishes well. The only issue was we only had enough hot water for one shower. We were only there for one night if not I’m sure they would have rectified the issue as they were very apologetic in the morning. I would definitely stay at the lodge again if I were to go back to the Daintree. Thank you to the staff.
Great stay
This is a lovely quiet place. The food at the restaurant is amazing. The staff are all very helpful and responsive.
Amazing spot for a getaway!
Amazing stay. The staff are outstanding and will do anything to make your stay comfortable. Can't wait to visit the Daintree again!
BACK TO NATURE WITH 5 STAR COMFORT AND YUM FOOD!
AN ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL,RELAXING,BACK TO NATURE STAY !
Excellent service, such friendly, helpful staff!
Felt like part of the family, the receptionist and kitchen staff took such great care of us, going above and beyond, even taking last minute requests for breakfast packs and helping us out with fuel when we stupidly forgot the petrol station would be closed! Breakfast was fantastic! Lagoon and pool were beautiful. Only cons: Our room was an old one though unfortunately with cracks in the wood, and our bed configuration request was not followed. We stayed 3 nights but it wasn't enough!
Good
Daintree Eco Lodge is a great place to stay assuming you can get a decent price. I wouldn't pay more than $200-250/night. The "waterfall" was down to a tickle and there was no waterhole in mid-November 2015. It was still a nice walk but something to keep in mind if you're fantasizing about swimming in the falls. The pool was nice to keep cool though and travelling in November means you're almost alone. Food was very good, including the breakfast. We never had lunch at the hotel but had a decent burger and fish and chips in Daintree Village.
Daintree Eco Lodge & Spa the best place to relax
We have just spent 3 nights here celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. What a lovely spot, so secluded and relaxing with excellent friendly service. All the extra touches where just beautiful. Thank you. We will definitely be back.
Escape from "city living"
The Daintree Eco Lodge was the perfect place to escape from the "city rush" and reconnect with nature. The location was beautiful and well located when planning day trips. The walkways, and some of the outside facilities required some maintenance but due to the rainforest location it is understandable a difficult task. The staff, and the food was fantastic. And a reasonable price. Do yourself a favour and enjoy a few days here!
Beautiful surroundings & lovely breakfast. Only downsides were noise from passing cars & frogs, & shower temperature was temperamental.
Absolutely stunning
This would have to be one of my favourite places to stay. Rooms were fantastic, plenty of parking, great food and the staff were great! It was close to everything we needed for our stay south of the Daintree River. It's in a truly beautiful spot.
Wonderful stay! Highly recommend.
I had a friend that had stayed at this hotel years ago and said it was fantastic then but had increased in price so they hadn't stayed on subsequent visits. Managed to find an amazing deal for our stay on Hotels.com. The staff were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. The room was well maintained, clean, comfortable with windows open/fan but also has an A/C. Screened patio overlooked grassy area below - even saw a wallaby hop through one morning, Dinner in the restaurant the first night was fantastic, as was the included daily breakfast. Although the standard rate for this hotel is more than I would normally pay for a hotel, if you're going to the Daintree area, I wouldn't hesitate to splurge for at least one night, and if you're budget allows or you can get a good deal, certainly stay for the entire trip!
Intimate tree house in the rainforest
Beautiful setting, very peaceful and relaxing, food is unreal and great value.
Beautiful accommodation surrounded by rainforest
I stayed here with a friend as part of a birthday trip exploring Far North Queensland and loved every moment of it. Sure the weather was unseasonably wet but it *is* the rainforest so we should have known rain might be an option. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with lots of information to help us decide where to explore during the day and helping us to arrange relaxing massages for our return. We ate at the restaurant for dinner both nights and were impressed on both occasions. Being able to take part in a walk with a local Aboriginal Traditional Owner (and to hear some of his impressive didjeridoo playing) was also great. All in all I would highly recommend it.
Very tranquil, great food
This place was far above our expectations. The food was outstanding. I was surprised there were no indigenous people on staff while we were there
Family retreat in Rainforest
Great rainforest experience. Bayans were tucked into the forest with screened in porch so enjoy the sounds of the forest - both day and night. Staff was attentive and food (dinner and breakfast) was good. A quiet retreat with no TV or phone (except in Lodge).
Great place to stay
Very pleased to see that the new owners are renovating and improving the place. food was great and very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I was worried about how close the road was but after dark it had no traffic and it was very quiet. a very romantic place to stay.

In the forest
Only stayed for one night but it was a very quaint touch of luxury in the wilderness. Good breakfast, free drink bottles were a nice touch.
Facilities: Outstanding; Value: Reasonable; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Spotless; Easy to find
Relaxing in nature
Was the perfect place for my husband and I to truly get away from it all, and feel very looked after, loved it!
Liked the private waterfall and small swimming hoke. Spa on balcony was also a bonus
Facilities: Run-down, cabins rotting & rusting; Value: Rip-off; Service: Friendly; Cleanliness: Lacking; Didn't look anything like the pictures and was in very bad condition. Not worth the price and won't be going back.
Facilities: Home away from home; Value: Great deal; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Spotless; We stayed not long after a cyclone went through. The staff did an amazing job in cleaning the place up so fast. Not too far from Cape Tribulation!!
The Daintree Ecolodge
The location of the Daintree Ecolodge is second to none. You stay in little treehouses on stilts in the heart of the rainforest. The accommodation itself is comfortable, though a little dated and not very plush. The food is fresh, local and tasty. The service is friendly, efficient and welcoming. The grounds are well landscaped and maintained. Perhaps a bit over-priced for what it offers, but the setting is relaxing and beautiful and the Daintree Ecolodge is well worth a visit.
Facilities: State of the art; Value: Great deal; Service: Remarkable; Cleanliness: Spotless; the waterfall nearby
Must stay!
We really loved the Daintree, the setting is really unique and the food was excellent, probably one of the better meals we had while in Australia. It did rain the whole time, but of course it is the rain forest. Sarah (staff) was so very helpful and booked a helicopter ride for us to the Great Barrier Reef and even packed us a "to go breakfast" since we were leaving early the next morning.
Facilities: Nice ; Value: Average price; Service: Very friendly!; Cleanliness: Tidy;
Live in the trees
Lovely cabins, beautiful trees, fun ekes to feed, delicious food and super staff.
Facilities: Home away from home; Value: Great deal; Service: Flawless, Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Beautiful; they are the benchmark!
Facilities: Distinctive; Fantastic staff. Extremely welcoming friendly and helpful
Facilities: Modern; Value: Great deal; Service: Outstanding; Cleanliness: Beautiful; After doing the Croc farm and other tourist destinations, the rainforest tour for $40 per person was a bit too expensive.Didnt get my monies worth
daintree eco-onomy lodge?
The air conditioning did not work. They sent someone to repair it. It cycled on and off all night making a lot of noise until I shut it off. Same story the next morning. We had dinner there and one other couple was present. It took over one hour to be served. There was no shampoo, etc. in the bathroom, one bar of soap. Simply finding the front desk was a chore. This place is way way overpriced for the quality of service they provide.
Facilities: Top of the line; Value: Amazing; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Immaculate; The customer service is outstanding, the food, the massages and the location and the incredible serenity made it the perfect stay.
Tree top idyll
Had a fabulous stay in this amazing and unique accommodation in the middle of the rainforest
Service: Outstanding; Cleanliness: Pleasant; Great weekend getaway from cairns
Value: Reasonable; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Pleasant;

The lodge was extremely dirty and full of bugs. The pictures on website seems photoshopped. The real condition of the room seems to be a motel rather than a 4-starred hotel
