I have stayed at Bakung Sari approximately 10 times. I try other accommodation but always come back. I love the garden, pool and location

Room was really run down. Water to the shower just stopped running mid shower.

Friendly staff, very helpful, overall great experience

They gave towels, they used same towel to mop for the water spill over, no toiletries in the room, someone was talking outside the roo and couldn't sleep. I extended forv2 days, then requested to make it one day charge as i was leaving early, they didn't oblige to refund the money.

The property on your site is misleading has no spa rats running about dirty i stayed one night out of 13 and booked somewhere else for last 12 days of my holiday shocking place if you don't check the properties on your site you should be ashamed get it off your site

Very cheap budget hotel with swimming pool and restaurant including all you can eat buffet breakfast if you want for $2. Hotel is very unique heritage close to Kuta beach about 15 to 20 mins, pubs and clubs 5 min walk down the road, next to two 7/11 shops across the road and other small shops everywhere just as Bali would have no other way.

The photos were deceiving on line. We had to ask them to clean the bath on the first day due to what appears to be lipstickark around the tub. There were stains in the tub that were never removed. Mould on the walls and peeling paint. Breakfast seemed like good value, but I questioned the cleanliness of the kitchen(not able to see it). Had to be asking for the soap and toilet paper. One day, we had to ask them to remove the bugs off the sheet on the bed.

Property is very outdated. Bed was as hard a ls a rock and felt like it would break. Bathroom showing signs of mould and ageing. The staff were amazing and friendly.

This was a good place to stay for 2 nights. Very economical and comfortable enough.

The property is incredibly run down. There is no spa, rooms are disgusting. All photos online are photo shopped. As soon as we could get another hotel, we moved after two days. The room flooring was sunken, toilet not attached to floor, bed frame broken and the room stunk like cigarette. Stay away- go elsewhere.

Close to shopping, beach and the real Kuta experience. Would recommend.

The facilities are tired. Well, for the price they charged, it served the purpose. The great thing is the location, super easy access to many sites and activities.

Great staff and service however several guests and myself had poor working aircons which made the rooms hot at night, the shower would often leak into room, the water pressure often was limited and the aircons often leaked water on to the floor near the main door which did make it slippery

Need to a good renovation of rooms and try to keep clean equipment like tea kettle and there is no microwave in the room.

Got there late, due to flights, hotel position on a back street, we went out looking for somewhere to eat or drink, couldn't find anything. Hotel itself quite old, Breakfast was nice. But for what you pay a night, is worth it.

The rooms needed up dated . Bathroom needs maintenance. And hallways and stairs a concern with water from air conditioner. Very slippery. Other wise it was clean and tidy . Fresh drinking water everyday .

Terrible service at front lobby, and couldn’t replace towels. I had to ask for clean towels and that happened once in 10 days. I asked for a towel for the pool and they refused. You get what you pay for that’s for sure. Wouldn’t recommend them to friends

We booked a 14 night stay for 5 rooms with 10 adults. Widani the front desk mgr also hooked us up with her brother who was a van driver when klook.com canceled our van after accepting our reservation and billed credit card. We are realists, The hotel is only USD 18 per night with breakfast so we did not expect a Hilton. In saying that, we booked months ahead but started to panic with recent reviews posted on hotels.com. Several 4/10 back to back. Complaints were no hot water, a noisy temple nearby, and dirty rooms. To our surprise, the rooms were ok. The hot water required 3-5 mins to get to temp but was screaming hot at 70C. Add cold on the mixer for a great, strong pressure shower in all 8 rooms on all 3 floors in both left and right pool facing rooms.The rooms need a refresh with new paint and linens, but the sheets were clean. The beds were firm but comfortable. Air Con is a super quiet mini-split system with remote control. My guess is those who gave 4/10 reviews did not give it time to warm up and confused a room that is tired with one that is not clean. Wifi sucked. Data on local sim worked well The grounds were impeccable. The pool was clean and refreshing. Great Sari burger and club delivered to the room. Breakfast was just adequate. No western food such as bacon, ham or sausages. Eggs were made to order. The hotel has some issues but overall, it's fantastic value, in a fantastic location. 8/10

Very hospitable

Hotel is a very good budget hotel and extremely good value for money. It is dated but well run, clean pool with limited day beds but were always available. Rooms are clean with a balcony that overlooks the pool or are poolside. Room supplies are limited furnishings including Fridge, TV, Kettle, Soap, Towels and Toilet Paper. Rooms cleaned daily. BYO Coffee and Shampoo. Very convenient to Kuta with 5-minute walk to the beach.

As always the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are in need of renovation or repair.

Great stay at the hotel for 5 nights, had a couple of nights where we were woke in the early hours of the morning between 1am-3am due to loud banging, kids running around the hallway screaming/crying which kept us up for a while but overall a decent stay for the price you pay. Would definitely stay again in the future

This hotel is cheap but worthy. They have swimming pool and reasonable breakfast. and it is close Kuta beach within 10 minutes by walking.

Unfortunately we didn’t t stay as the property didn’t suit our needs.

Pool was a bit dirty looking so we didn’t use it, room was very outdated but did the job. Gardens were beautiful and the staff were all very nice. Overall for what we paid it was good! Breakfast was limited but was nice. Location was great and felt peaceful.

Was totally disappointed when I reached the place. The pictures were great far from reality. Very old establishment with murky smell. Staff were helpful and I had to change my initial room but then the second room had a malfunctioning flush, didn’t work at all. Will never stay in this pace

The location was superb, in the middle of Kuta. Near to airport and attraction place. Easy to get food and convenience store located everywhere near the stay. Only the breakfast little bit bland. The rest was good.

It was very quiet and quaint, the staff were very helpful guiding me around, plus they helped me find a scooter for $8.00 per day. I went more into the heart of Kuta, closer to the beach and shopping centres but it’s a little too busy for my liking. Hotel was cleaner as well. Great option for the price

Overall good, rooms basic but ok condition, need fix bathroom windows so can open for ventillation. Great balcony views of garden and pool, generally quiet at night, centrally located.

Everything is all right except the furniture and the bathroom inside the rooms, too old. Staff is ok, swiming pool very good. For resting is a very good place. The palm trees are nice.

The architecture was lovely, the pool was clean and sparkling water, staff were accommodating to all of our needs. Situated just outside Kuta so wss not busy. Spa staff were excellent and professional. Breakfast had different options daily, air con in rooms was ice cold.

The bad,this hotel is in need of a total renovation,it is beyond wear and tear and if you want clean towels they don’t arrive until late afternoon,a real pain if you want a swim after shopping.The good ,staff speak good English and are so helpful,always with a smile,big swimming pool with great friendly atmosphere.Good buffet breakfast plus freshly cooked eggs if you ask.Hotel is in middle of Kuta a short walk to beach,Waterbom and shopping and many salons offering a 1 hour body massage for about $8.Hotel is rated 3 star,and is very good value,this was my fourth stay here and would stay here again

The hotel is very dated needs a lot of tlc. We were up graded when we got there because there was a mix up with our room. When we got up next morning there was a condom under the bed and a bra next to the bed. Need to spend a little more time in the cleaning all round.

Old rundown hotel. Staff speak good English until you ask them for assistance, then they can’t string a basic sentence together. “Free” wifi works 5% of the time, and very very slow. They have a few permanent residence living in the hotel, adding to the feeling of a homeless shelter.

The bed sheets were wet and dirty. The bathroom has mold everywhere and was so dirty you would not want to wash in there. We checked in and within 1 hour we had checked out. I will be seeking a refund and I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

No frills delivers satisfaction for the price...

The hotel served the purpose of a cheaper option, close to the centre of Kuta and far enough out to be away from the hustle and bustle. I wouldn't choose it for a romantic getaway. The room cleaning was not efficient. An empty water bottle was not removed from under the bed for the whole stay. A half-smoked cigarette butt was there in a ledge on the balcony for our entire stay. It was no-frills and we have no real complaint because it's what we wanted for this trip. Wi Fi had good reception.
