Location is excellent, close to Paddington station, but property needs a lot of work; room was very small, bed small and uncomfortable, bathroom without water during morning hours. This location looks more for hostel.

Get what you pay for

Decent value compared to other nearby hotels, as the location is great (other than the 5min walk to reception) though the room wasn't very good. The shower had varied pressure that just stopped once mid-use and there was a strong smell from the bathroom. It didn't seem like anything was leaking directly into the bathroom but still was unpleasant.

Great for the price easy and convenient to the west end

As advertised. Small clean rooms. Excellent location. Staff easily addressed any problems. Will definitely stay here again. No elevator or front desk at hotel but sister hotel deals with any problems or requests. Nice stay.

Too small

Great location

The staff here was top notch. They were all very helpful and friendly. Taking into consideration that this building is fairly old, the rooms were decent. Beds were alright, not the most comfortable, the pillows were a bit flat but the price was right for 4 adults. We felt safe and the room was clean. The location was excellent and very convenient, a short walk to Paddington Station.

Easy Check-in. Helpful staff, always there for you to help. Many restaurants nearby and many transport links are available. Right across Hyde Park, some minutes away from Oxford Street and less than about two minutes away from the Paddington station where my train got me and took me back to the airport. The location is very convenient and the kind owner is always there to offer sightseeing advice as well as a hot cup of tea. As for the rooms, they were clean and quiet. The only bad part was that a small park/garden which is exactly in front of the place was closed for gardening so I couldn't have a break there but other than that, because of their down to earth attitude whenever I will be back I will be choosing them and If they are fully booked I'll still be paying a visit to Mrs Litsa, the lovely owner.

As a woman alone on my own and as I arrived at the hotel where the check ins are being made, I've met a very nice woman named Litza the owner who offered me a nice cup of coffee and offered me some traditional sweets she had from her country, baklava. Then I went to my room which everything was perfect and clean. All the staff was very helpful. During my stay I had an issue one night, I had severe headache and I was out of paracetamol amd every pharmacy and shop was closed at that time nearby, even if I didn't want to bother it was very painful so i went to the reception I called Litsa who helped my by providing me with some paracetamol and she sat with me there offering tea until I was better and went to sleep. I had an excellent time and of course, I will be back in the future. The owner was, above all a human!

Very kind staff and we have to go to the Beverley house hotel to do the check-in but staff came along with us and showed the hotel and room. Very safe and quite place. Happy with the overall service

Truly the most awful experience. please please please do not book, we ended up having to find another hostel after being laughed at for feeling unsafe. the owner or whoever runs this place is the least comforting and helpful person. the energy in the place is creepy and scary. and we experienced awful awful awful things while being there for only a few hours. this place should not be considered a hostel but gives off the vibes of kidnapping and that we were being watched. do not stay

No frills place to stay for a night or two.

Great location, a few minutes from Paddington Station. Not a luxury hotel by any means, but good, clean and safe place to spend the night when visiting London. There was a mix-up with our reservation and we spent our first night in the "penthouse" (up 82 steps with suitcases!). The second night they moved us to a much nicer room. Bathrooms are tiny, but clean. Staff was very friendly. Check your email for instructions to check in, it's at a location around the corner, not at the hotel. But only a 3 min walk.

Atlàs studios

Very basic room, a tiny toilet/shower cubicle if you can call it that...the decor very old and needs a good refurbishment, along with the carpet on the stairs very old and shabby, i know people say you get what you pay for in london, but i have stayed at a lot better hotels in london for the same price.

Quite atmosphere,walkable restaurant, good rooms but no lift.

I needed a room for 1 night before my Heathrow flight and this hotel provided a very good affordable option. It's in a perfect location with a short walk to Hyde Park and to the Elizabeth Line (at Paddington station) which takes you straight to Heathrow Airport. Check in is actually around the corner at another little hotel but it was very easy and Litsa was great, she emailed me with check-in instructions and then offered me coffee and biscuits when I arrived. The room was very basic but the bathroom looked fairly new and while I only had a bunk bed the room was warm and I slept very well so I have no complaints. Just be aware there is no lift so I had to take my luggage up to the 3rd floor so this will obviously not appeal to everyone.

Not like the photos but would stay if needed.

Not like the photos! But was an ok stay! We had the quadruple room, was clean and welcoming. The only issue top bunk mattress needs reneweing you feel ALL the springs! Bunk beds really squeaky too. The bathroom is not in the room its a seperate room, mrs didnt feel safe due to other rooms around our rooms. Would stay here if needed too and for the price it wasnt horrific. But the photos aint what you get. Shower was terrific tho!

The whole place needs updating. Kitchen dirty. Only Cup had huge chip on rim. Worse thing was freezing on night I stayed and the heating stopped working during night. Couldn’t sleep due to cold then no hot water in morning so couldn’t shower. Tried to email the address given but said it didn’t exist. Had to go to railway station early to get warm. Very disappointing.

You get what you pay for

Family of 4, traveling with 2 young kids. We needed a place to stay and booked this place the day we needed it. Not the best choice and looked a bit run down. Pros: Decently priced Good location Trash emptied on daily basis. Cons: Bathroom water tank ran noisily 24/7 Weird bathroom tub setup for showers Part of bathroom ceiling was falling down

Having to check in and out at Beverley House was inconvenient. A couple of tea or coffee bags and milk at the studio would have been appreciated after a long journey. Staff were helpful.

Great place, really comfortable

Paddington had issues and all trains canceled. I needed a place to stay as I wouldn't be too happy staying in Paddington. I have stayed here before, its got everything you need, clean and comfortable and great service.

Super-friendly!

A small studio, but we chose the lower price range and therefore didn't expect any luxury. The lack of space was more than outweighed by the extremely friendly Litsa and her staff. Everything was clean, and the area calm and convenient. A great stay!

I liked the location.

Litsa is a very friendly, efficient and responsive staff. Hostel location is excellent, near underground tube station and a inter-city train station. Room is a bit too small too cramp though.

Too bad for an amazing area.

Super friendly host and a wonderful location but the state of the hotel including the entrance into it was full of recycling dumped high. The room was tiny, dusty, broken furniture, disgusting bathroom and the beds were jammed together to fit in as much as possible. Definitely only a place to sleep at the very end of the day. Comfortable beds.

Best non family hospitality in London

Our stay was amazing. Litsa and her family were very friendly, kind, caring and helpful, she's a darling. They go all out to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. They immediately try to fix any issue that may arise to ensure your stay is a memorable one.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Litsa - lovely lady, warm and welcoming. The location is excellent close to shops, restaurants and tube/ train station. The accommodation served its purpose, a pleasant place to sleep and rest, with being in the heart of the capital that was all that was required. I would definitely come here again to stay on our next visit to the capital.

Good Value

Good stay. Tight space, cozy for family of 4 (all adult sized!). Clean, friendly staff, convenient location 3 minutes walk from Paddington Station. Lots of good places to eat locally.

Great overnight in Paddington

Atlas was in a fantastic position for our overnight stay. Close to Paddington station for access to and from the airport and a quiet square with a small balcony and green space views. Room was just what we needed for overnight and bed was really comfortable. Lista was lovely when we arrived and offered us a cup of tea and we even got early access to the room which was great. Lots of cafes and restaurants in very close proximity

Excellent location, stayed at Beverley House Hotel

When we arrived at Atlas Studios, we were informed that there was an issue with our room but they have arranged for us to stay at Beverley House Hotel, which was about a block away. The location is excellent. The train and bus are only a few minutes walk away and we felt safe walking in the area late at night. The following is for Beverley House Hotel - The room was very small, no room to really open our suitcases. We had a full or queen bed and a bunk bed. The space between top and bottom bunk beds are minimal, cannot sit straight up on the bottom bunk. Cleanliness was ok. Breakfast was basic but ok - toasts, egg, cereal, yogurt, coffee, orange juice. On the day of checkout, they were able to hold our luggage in the morning while we went to explore a little more.

Great value!

Litza and the staff at Atlas were so kind and welcoming. Atlas is a great value - the rooms are basic but spotless, the location is amazing, and the service is accommodating.

.Location is good,quiet, accesible to metro. But not satisfied w/ the cleanliness of kitchen utaensils, should better provide disposables like cups,,plates,spoon n fork.

Awful experience

Awful experience, they the owners lie and give you the room they want not what you have booked. The pictures look nothing like the rooms. I had high expectations and they seemed nice at first but they can't handle any feedback.

Clean, welcoming budget hotel

Good, clean budget hotel in a great location. It's no frills, but that goes with the price. Bathroom, bedding and towels were nice and clean and the couple at reception were very friendly and welcoming. Ideal for a short business stay. Great value for money. I would definitely stay again.

Not the best place

Was not at all impressed with Atlas studios. We were on the fourth floor, beds were OK, but the room was filthy. Mold on the bathroom walls and ceiling, Raty towels, but at least they were clean. Our room was fairly inexpensive, and the positive things I could say about it is it was dark at night and quiet, and fairly close to the undetground. But, honestly we would not stay at this hotel ever again.

Great hostel close to Paddington

3 adults, 1 child in a bunk room. The room was very clean & comfortable although the bunks were metal & creaked a little. The 6 year old child slept in a top bunk for the first time as enclosed sides. Need to take your own toiletries. The owners & staff were wonderful & very nice... nothing was too much for them to help.

Excellent place to stay in London!

It was a very enjoyable and unforgettable stay. All the staffs and owner were very friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. The location was very convenient to the Metro (Tube) and was surrounded by restaurants and shops. The area was also very safe and quiet. The room was clean and spacious for 2 person. The owner fulfilled our needs when we requested a hot water kettle and new towels and most importantly made us feel like home throughout our trip. Definitely recommend this to future visitors and we would surely stay again.

Stay good except no phone messages given by hotel owners?? Just one message when someone called to locate us was NOT to forwarded to us. It took us all day to use call box to find if friends were looking for us-no cell phones on us. Thumbs down on that.

Fair price, but too small

The cheapest price we found on this particular location. But there are too many beds in the room. Not much space. The bathroom is so small that you have no place to stand.

Lovely couple runs this hotel

The hotel is in a great location. Easy access to the tube and gardens, and the Marble arch. Litsa and her husband were so wonderful, and offered us coffee and cookies that they made themselves. They were also so kind as to let us stow our luggage before check-in and after check-out to allow us to see the city more. They were going through some renovations when we stayed which affected the condition a little but there was no noise or dust or inconvenience.

Very nice hotel close to train and tube station

We had a very comfortable room for two persons with a little fridge and microwave oven. It also had some plates and silverware. It takes about three minutes to walk to the train station, from there you can go anywhere in London. The lady in charge is very nice and helpful. We had a very nice stay at this hostal.

Convenient hotel

The staffs are very friendly. Litsa gave us some drinks and cookies when we arrived and show us around the hostel. In this hotel, I have choosen to stay in 10beds room, it is quiet comfort, as the roommates are also friendly. And the most important thing is the hostel is near the Paddington station, which is so convenient!!!

Absolutely terrible! I booked a single room with a double but upon my arrival they tried to put two people in a single bed. No refund was awarded for two nights we couldn't use!

Great hostel near Paddington train station and tub

We are arrived in Heathrow and go via metro to Puddington. Just one line change and we at place. Several minuts from tube station and we meet a nice garden. You can choose Heathrow express, it more comfotable and faster. We came little early before check-in(I wrote an email what we will be early). Our room was ready and we get in without any delay. Litsa are a hostess in this hostel. She make a tea with coockies for us :-) It was very helpfull after a long flight. We took a room 8 for two peoples with one double bed. What we have: affable hostess, keys from room and enterence door, FreeWiFi, shower and toilet in the room, table, stool, little wardrobe, two power socket(even with universal power adapter), hairdryer, five free towels, a lot of toilet paper, TV and FreeWiFi. Room was clean, warm and cozy. And we have even an balcony in this room and 4 pillows! Litsa say us about what we can meet nearby. During a week when we meets with Lista she asks us "It's all Ok? May be you need something else?". And she offered us coffy and tea for us :-) At morning we make an check-out and leave a luggage at a hostel till evening. It was great vacation at great hostel! P.S.: it was UE water tap there!) You can find several cafe and pubs at same building.

Great location & cheap rates

The staff are friendly, the rates the so affordable even if the room we've chosen has a kitchen & own toilet. The location is very near Underground stations.

No staircase

This guesthouse/hostel is located near to the Paddington Station (~ 3 mins walk) and is convenient for those who needs to catch the Heathrow Express to the airport or to Kensington Palace, Natural History Museum, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly, Tower Bridge etc. However, there is no staircase and you need to drag your luggage along the narrow stairs (~3 feet wide) all the way up to the 3rd/4th floor. We stayed for 3 nights in the double room, but the owner moved us to another guesthouse at the corner on our last night due to overbooking. We are pretty upset (but did not complaint to the owner) about it as we need to need to pack/unpack and again went up the narrow stairs up to the top floor with our luggages. During check out at the other guesthouse, we are asked to pay for the 1 night stay as there seems to be no communication between the guesthouse staff, but it was sorted out promptly.

Great staff, room not so much.

I booked this hotel needing somewhere cheap and clean to sleep before flying back to Australia. The cheap bit was a success, clean? unfortunately not. The staff were lovely but I was a bit alarmed when the owner made me stand outside the room before entering so she could check the cleanliness. She was quite pleased that it was 'clean' but unfortunately it did need to be revacuumes and dirty cups in the sink don't mean clean to me. Cheap and easy place to stay but don't come looking for a place you'd want to walk around in bare feet. Lovely staff though.

Bent over backwards to make me feel at home

Wow. Absolutely wow. This hostel is owned and operated by a Greek couple that truly makes you feel like one of the family. I came from the airport in the early afternoon and the owners made me a sandwich with fresh vegetables and ham. They bent over backwards to make me feel at home. It was the best hostel experience I've ever had. I feel so fortunate to have found this hostel.

Best choice!

We stayed 4 nights in London and two of them in this hotel and it was great. The room has everything you need and the owner were very very nice. They offered us a coffee and cake at the check in and also on the 2nd day. you feel very comfortable because of the owner's kindness. The balcony with views to the small park was great. The room was very clean and the wifi worked very well. If you compare it with other middle-class hotels in London, this is the best option. Same standard but cheaper.

Basic hostel in central london

The rooms and facilities are basic but the staff were friendly and it is extreamly close to Paddington station and the center of London. For someone on a budget trip that needs somewhere just to sleep it is excellent.

Basic, Quiet, Great Location

Room for a couple is basic, cramped, not cute, no view, but safe, quiet, and comfortable. Great location close to Paddington for Circle Line underground and express train to/from Heathrow. Closer station is Lancaster Gate, across the street from huge Hyde Park, with bicycle-hire fleet and Central-Line underground direct to St. Paul's Cathedral and Tower area, connections to everywhere else. For first-time visitors, Hop-on-Hop-off bus stops a block away. Wonderful Victoria Pub is just a two block walk. Lots of snack shops around the corner. Beautiful little pocket-park across the quiet street. Owners are attentive, sensitive to guest needs, but this is owner-operated, not full-time desk staff. Entrance/registration not easy, as this is un-marked hostel, except for message at the doorbell, so remember the address and you will find it easily.

Value & Great transport links

Location was brilliant close to Paddington Station Edgeware Road & Hyde Park all a stone throw away. The hotel was clean and even with the window open was away from the hustle and bustle of the city, with birds singing at 5am. The staff were very friendly and approachable, Litsa and David were friendly and helpful. The bathroom was cleaned twice daily and had bathroom cleaner also if our OCD like me you can know it's definitely clean. Value for money as the location is so close to stations and shops.

Hostal in Paddington London

A bit noisy & smelly but bearable our hostal room ...We were not offered lockers for our valuables & with people coming in out of the room at night, there was always a risk of theft. We did ask for a locker but for some unknown reason we did get one. Owner's are nice people. Hostal is in a good location with shops & tube station close by.

Home away from home

Located in a very quiet cul-de-sac one block from the Paddington Station, the hostel is also walking distance from Hyde Park. This is not a place if you want an anonymous hotel. This is a home away from home. We arrived 3 hours before check-in time (we called ahead to make sure it was OK) and were greeted by Litsa and her husband who offered us tea and candies/cookies for my 8 y.o. The room was clean. Very basic and a bit small but perfect for our needs. We even had a small balcony. We had access to a kitchen, again perfect to make some tea or prepare snacks before heading out. Litsa even invited us to share a traditional dish from Cyprus that she had cooked the day after Christmas! I really felt more like in a friend's house than in an hotel.

the reality of Atlas Hostel

The place is not so clean. I would recommend this hostel JUST if you are looking to travel on a budget and if you are willing to handle a NOT CLEAN TOILET. For me and my sister was good because of the price. But I don't recommend it if u r so "picky". The room is small and is shared with more people and mixed genders. Also if you choose to stay here take a lock with you because they don't provide lockers. Also is good to know that NOT ALL the people that stay in the hostel is staying for few days, there are some guests that live there for long term.

Couldnt find any staff several times. We stayed two nights. They thought we were only staying for one so we had to seperate rooms and got moved around which was an inconvinience

Nice cheap place

The couple owning the place was really friendly and would help you with tips for places to eat etc.. the room itself was small but good for the price. Very clean even though they we're going through remodeling at my stay. If you need a place to sleep just for a night or two and you're not that fuzzy about it, it's a great place.

The staffs were very friendly and helpful, even my roommates were pleasant to stay with. Everyone was really nice and we enjoyed our stay. This hostel is high recommended and you will get your money's worth. The rooms are a little small so avoid bringing big luggages. Overall, I had a pleasant stay.

wonderful hostel. great location

the location is superb. walking distance to paddington and lancaster gate. also walking distance to Hyde Park. the owner is very friendly and nice. easy to find halal food.we book double room and surprisingly our room come with private kitchen which is great!the surrounding/neighborhood are safe. u wouldn't be worried if walking at night. there are few souvenir shops there which is extremely cheaper compare to the others. definitely will come back again here.

One night in London

Was just one night as early Heathrow flight next day. Put on ground floor as heavy cases and given warm apple pie. Perfect mattress's very clean, very happy to reccomend though had we had a room full (2 x 3 bunk beds) space would be very limited. More than happy to stay again short breaks or getting to Heathrow.

Not a hotel

First of all there was no one there to answer the door we had to wait and then call a phone number we found to ask if this was our hotel . Once inside we were lead up to a room that looked like some one else lived there the place was packed with old furnishing and the balcony was full of old staked chairs, rubbish, plants and you could not actually use it and the balcony door was acsesable buy others and one of the locks were broken the bathroom we could not use the shower as it was blocked and it flooded if we did the place was dirty sheets had hioles no where to put our suit cases because there was so much furniture. I'm use to staying in backpackers so didn't need anything fancy but the bet was so bad it was very old and every spring could be felt. When we let the next morning the man looking after the place was walking around in his robe and when I told him the shower was blocked he acted shocked that of cause was was a bit strange considering the shower had cleaning stuff every were and the shower water hold had actually been pulled apart . Some one must have know there was a problem. He also said I should have told him and he would have fixed it . When I told him we return to the hotel at midnight so that was not an option he said he was awake at midnight . This is not a hotel this is some one renting rooms that are filthy . No office .

I guess you get what you pay for!

Having read reviews we expected basic and small rooms, but did at least expect it to be clean. The owners are very friendly (and a little crazy)- the room wasn't ready when we turned up, but that was OK as they let us leave stuff in the room. However when we finally came back to sleep the room still was pretty dirty, even though it had been 'cleaned'. I guess it was more of a lick and a promise that it had had, the sheets were fresh, but had hair on them, so maybe their laundry facilities aren't too good. There was a pretty nasty smell from the shower too, and the plug looked pretty clogged with someone elses hair. We stayed in a double room- from walking past the dorm rooms these seemed pretty crowded and small for the number of people in them. Certainly wouldn't have liked that option. There is potential as location is good, the rooms are OK and would be fine if they had only been clean. Also the bed was very uncomfortable- the owners claimed it was a new bed, but if so it must have been pretty cheap, as you could feel the springs threw the mattress.

Arrived earlier than expected however was still allowed to check in which was a good start! Staff were very nice and super helpful! Had a great stay and would definitely recommend it!

This property is in a very nice location near a major transportation center. There are many good places to eat nearby. The hosts are eager to help, but the property is in need of repairs. The curtain in our room did not block the streetlight outside in front, also it did not open without standing on top of the bunk beds. The shower did not work - a part appeared missing in the transfer spigot, so all water went only to the tub. The front door closer needs adjustment to prevent extraordinary slams that are damaging to the door frame (and your sleep). Some doors conflict with other doors and walls so that you must be careful about when you open the door and where you stand when doing so. This is a large stately house (very high ceilings) retrofitted into multiple rooms on multiple floors. All charm of the original is negated by the new walls, stairs, and hallways. Carpet is cheap and appeared dirty to me. Provided furniture was cheap and not attractive. I did not find a trash can in my room. The beds are comfortable but not very comfortable. If the other guests are quiet then you can get a good sleep here. Hot water was very good. Toilet performed very well. If you can focus on your time in bed then this is a reasonable option to stay at. If you are distracted by appearance or cleanliness, then you would not have liked my room there.

Great location for students on a budget

This is not a hotel, it's a hostel. It is very liveable and good enough for simply sleeping. There are not many washrooms, given that over 10 people have to share one, but in general, everything was just fine.
