Very nice room with excellent facilities and cute decor. Super helpful staff, everything is well thought out. 10 mins walk to the metro station, close to Athens Academy.
Please was clean, close to public tranasportation.

Don't judge by surrounding area
Rooms are nice, despite surrounding area. Reception staff are very kind and helpful. Lots of transit options within walking distance. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby.
The team at the hotel was excellent helping us with a late night check in. Room was clean and perfect for our stay.
We liked the room, clean and you get pretty much everything you need. The hotel is not located in town centre area but still everywhere was walkable. It took a while to contact the hotel staff after hours (we called them around 8:30pm) when our key did not work.
The stay at the hotel was good only thing was we had got taken by are taxi service at pick up
They announce for people as it is a hotel. It is not a hotel. They cheat people.
I will definitely stay there next time, the hotel is clean and nice. And staff are very helpful.
Clean, and location
I've stayed here before and always enjoyed it. I took one star off for facilities because atm there is no provision for breakfast or a coffee bar, which seems to be because of some renovation work going on. However, this was reflected in the price, which was below the srsonal norm and excellent value. So all round a great place to stay in the centre of Athens.
There was some street noise but the room was clean and organized although it had no view, it was close to the tourist sites
friendly and helpful reception desk staff.
The staff was very nice, and the bathroom very nice and spacious. The environnement was very noisy, no way to open the window, and the air conditionning for several rooms, was on the balcony which made the balcony impossible to stay,
Friendly staff
Decent value, a bit dated and rough around the edges in places. Very helpful staff.
Great value and great rooms! Staff were helpful too! Neighbourhood isn't the nicest, but its close enough to walk to everything you'd want to.
Return stay at Athens Way
We often choose Athens Way as a very good, reasonably priced Hotel in Central Athens. It never disappoints. Highlights this time were the service we received from staff, especially Mary. There was a slight fault in our allocated from and we were moved immediately to another with full apology. The room was as comfortable as ever and everything is very clean. Great place, next to Exarcheia, with its range of cafe bars. Highly recommended.
Quite central and easy to get to other places of interest. very impressed with reception.
I liked the proximity to the city center and historical sights, unfortunately the room I was given had an unpleasant smell.
Little things that matters! We got it!
Generally we are very pleased and satisfied with the room provided. In particular, it was the small things that mattered, which was provided by the hotel: such as free usage of smartphone with data, facilities to make hot drinks, bedroom slippers. None of these were given in another 5 star hotel we stayed in prior to moving here.
Everything was “ok” except the breakfast. We went up for breakfast around 9:30 and everything was freezing cold, even the coffee. Beside that, it was comfortable.
It’s all about location
30 minute walk into the heart of the Athens tourist areas and shopping district. So only issue for us was it’s a bit away from everything, So make sure you have everything when you go out. 25 minute walk to the Government building to see the changing of the guard (which takes place every hour) Was a little concerning when every evening there were police buses parked outside the hotel with police stood on street corners with their guns and helmets. One night they had a few carrying riot shields. Gym just down the road, local cafe’s, a 24hr bakery right near the hotel. Roads outside and next few blocks are all one way. If you need parking there is none at the hotel, but indoor parking around 500m near by thats obviously an added extra. Few book and toy shops, a chemist right near by as well.
The hotel is absolutely precious.
This place was so nice, and the guy at the desk helped us with transportation.
Room smelt like cigarettes and fish. Location seemed to be in a very sketchy area. Many items in the room were broken...breakfast was outstanding. Overall I wouldn't recommend the hotel....
5 nights
Alright
Athens Way Review
This hotel was quite nice and suited our needs. Walking distance to the Acropolis, Plaka and the Panathinaikos Stadium. The room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was simple, but a nice way to start the day. The staff are very helpful. There are many restaurants and stores nearby, and the neighborhood seemed quite safe - don't be put off by all the graffiti. I would recommend this hotel to anyone touring Athens.
Enjoyed our stay here. Very clean and updated rooms. Staff are friendly. Location was ok, a little ways from real city core. Overall was very good though.
Great place to stay in Athens
Conveniently located , clean and modern hotel . Friendly Staff
Not impressive from the outside but ...
... it is clean and comfortable and the staff are very helpful. It is convenient for the centre and the historical sites are within walking distance. Several bus routes run close by. Don't be put off by the graffiti because you will see this everywhere in Athens.
Great!
Great location, just a few minutes walk to the main drag. Great bathroom and shower - very welcomed after a long journey.
We had a nice stay
Clean hotel, nice service. Bathroom small and shower only has half door. Door card mostly didn't work so we had to use a key. Breakfast is 7 euros and it includes a nice fresh selection.
Wonderful staff at a great hotel
The whole staff were wonderful! Very hospitable.
Well-run, clean hotel
On the positive side: clean, smartly-furnished rooms, helpful crew showing big smile, best wi-fi connection and speed ever, and superb breakfast in rooftop cafeteria with nice view. Troublesome aspects: occasional smell in bathroom, neighborhood with busy and narrow streets, with lots of noise (thanks god windows were soundproof).
Great neighbourhood
Pleasant staff, comfortable bed. A bit of a walk from the metro station up hill with a bag so be warned with Athens sidewalks.
Nice rooftop bar, if it was staffed. Reasonably close to all the attractions with some nice restaurants within five minutes walk.
great stay
the hotel doesn't look great from the outside but is great on the inside. very friendly and helpful staff. great room super breakfast. A++++++
Great Hotel, Real Value
This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. Although one would never say that it's immediate surroundings are salubrious, they are perfectly safe, very convenient and 5 minutes walk away from great food and drink in the Exarcheia area. Always a warm welcome, the room are well appointed, pretty new, nice small roof bar with great view of Lycabettus-Lycavitos
Surprise !
When I first booked this hotel I had many doubts. When you get into the counter, even more doubts. But the staff is very friendly ! and the rooms are very good. Clean. The onyl problem with ours, was that the shower was missing one door, so the water keep pouring out. Breakfast is good ! you get surprised, as the value vs location vs what you receive is very good !
Close to main avenues.
Bathroom with half door. So when showering all bathroom got flooded. At complaint ... I have been told by the room cleaner : That is the way it is. No carpet for the bathroom floor. A/C was closed at night and the room stunk for all night breathing. We asked for a double bed arrangement. The bed had very soft supporting and squeaky iron net. it gave to me and my son really backache.
Good experience
We had very nice time in Athens. Hotel was clean ,very friendly stuff. Breakfast on 6th floor with beautiful view .Good location :)
Basic, reasonable hotel in a good location
We stayed four nights here on the third floor. It wasn't soundproof--we heard guests coming in and out all night long, parties going on across the street, dogs barking, traffic. Between all the noise and the uncomfortable mattress and pillows, we didn't get much sleep at all during our stay. This might not matter much to folks who are used to sleeping on springy mattresses. I think we should have asked for a room at the back of the hotel on an upper floor, that probably would have helped. The rooftop bar staff were very sweet and made sure we had wine glasses and a corkscrew when we went up to get our bottle of wine opened. Great view of Lykavittos Hill (but not the Parthenon). No gym, pool, large lobby, or any other more luxurious amenities, but we knew this when we booked it. The rooftop bar was reasonably priced and great to relax at and play a few games of Backgammon. It's a good place to stay if you're looking for a centrally located hotel on a shoestring budget. We booked our flights with our hotel and got a great deal.
A Pleasant Mid-city hotel.
Stayed for 5 nights, and the hotel staff were great, helpful and willing to give us some tea making equipment at late hours.
Bad maintained
Bathtube broken, leaking all over the bathroom. Could be used just as shower, very uncomfortable. Personnel not helpful. Location not too bad. Overall it was clean but lack on maintenance.
Good location
Good location away from main tourist area but easy to get to acropolis etc nice restaurants nearby. Hotel has brilliant view from top floor where there is a bar and where breakfast is served.
Clean & New Room in shady dark Neighborhood
First this "Hotel" ( more room & Apt ) is located 5 min & 7 Euro - Taxi drive from syntagma square its located in a shady neighborhood that have NOTHING to offer for a tourist .. so basically after you get to your room & if need something from outside you basically stuck ! Also I didnt feel comfortable to walk at night.. everything around is dark ..:( Regardless i did reservation for 2 adult+ 2 & when i got to the hotel I was informed that i did reservation only for 2+ 1 infant but this is Expedia fault & not the hotel ,, they didn't have a baby cot but after we got upset & the baby cried for an hour .. Suddenly ..out of the blue ..they send us a crib & we had to pay extra 10 euro The room is clean & New ,, Bed is comfortable.. shower great & so after you in your room you feel good . ........ Still for the Money you pay for the hotel & the taxi ... pay it for something in the center you will Enjoy more !!!!
:)
10 minutes walk from the metro n is uphill, so be ready to have a15-20 minutes walk with suitcases! Lovely hotel, just the shower room is a bit small, don't think can fit a big man in there! Overall was all :)
Nice hotel for the money
This is a nice hotel in the center of Athens. It's not amazing, but clean, contemporary and friendly.
A good hotel in a pretty good area
The real pluses were the room (we had a room with a spa and it was extremely comfortable and spacious), the friendly staff and Athens itself - what a great city with a wonderful atmosphere. The breakfast was ok, however the lack of fried eggs and the coffee being luke warm took the shine off it a little.
Pleasant service and comfortable room
Apostoli at front reception was very pleasant to deal with. We got upgraded to a bigger room which was a bit more comfortable. The hotel is small and it was quite hard to find location wise and the neighbourhood is not quite central enough for us. Just bring small luggage as the lift is super tiny and you have to open the elevator door and this is a struggle when you have luggage.
Everything's fine. Lovely room! But the wifi is quite weak, we lived on the 3rd floor.
Well located in the centre to all attractions. Helpful staff at front desk for tourists
pretty good
not bad
Couple of nights stay Athens was great shame the hotel felt dark, lacked maintenance in replacing light bulbs etc
Not as expected
As much I wanted to like this hotel, I experienced problems. For 4 days I didn't have hot water and I had to complain twice in order to have them fixed. Also, they advertise free wi-fi, which is a joke because it was not working and I couldn't work at my room. Also, the laundry they use, charged me washing-ironing, but it was only washed and folded. Walls at the room had mold. I understand the situation in Greece is not great at all, but I do expect what they advertised, since I paid for it. I will have hard time to stay there again, although the location was good.
Nice hotel in a very quiet/local part of time
My husband are arrived by boat to Athens quite late in the evening. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and gave us directions to restaurants close by. We booked a tour to the Acropolis through the hotel too. It was amazing. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel itself is close to all tourist sites and it pretty easy to find with a map if you don't want to join a tour. We had breakfast included with our room and it quite delicious although not too much choice. It was pretty much the same everyday but worth it! Their roof top bar (where breakfast is served) had an amazing view and is very comfortable! Def go and get that free drink they offer as a welcome gift! The only down side is that we stayed on the 3rd floor and there was no wifi at all. There was really strong wifi in the reception area and the bar (where breakfast was served). We would def come again!
Small but clean and close to everything
We stayed for three nights and booked an apartment. It was basically a hotel room with an extra sofa bed. The room is small, but very clean and the hotel has everything we needed. There is secure parking next door for 9€ per day, but only small or medium cars would fit as it is very tight. If you are looking for a base to explore Athens this is perfect, nothing luxurious but you can walk to Syntagma square in 10 min. The is also a nice bar on the roof with views of the Lycabetus hill, where you can also have a decent breakfast for only 5€.
Was very clean the people very friendly and helpfu
Was really clean
Close to city centre and great restaurants
Great staff, with a brilliant bar/restaurant on the top floor. Was in central location which was not far away from the cities best sights
Pleasant hotel near to centre
Good value for couples who want a good breakfast and easy access to metro.
Clean, comfortable and close to the centre.
Clean spacious room. Enjoyable breakfast in the roof top bar.
Great price, clean place and super friendly staff
Athens Way is great! Price is good, rooms: very clean and comfortable. The staff: super friendly and helpful. During the month that we traveled in Greece, we stayed 3 times. Twice we ordered room service and it was quick and very good. The location is great. Lots of coffee places and restaurants nearby and the Acropolis is 15min. by foot. The hotel doesnt have a garage, but there's one across the street where we left our car, not expensive at all for central Athens. I would definitely stay here again!
Good location and a reasonable price
The room is clean, next to a subway. The historic city is at about 45 min by walking. The breakfast was simple, but good enough (5 euros per person).
Nice hotel
Nice hotel easy check in staff were helpful breakfast was average view from roof was amazing, we ask them to book taxi to airport and they did on time the only thing is our room Was on the 4th floor no WI-FI at all our first room was on the first floor the signal was fine ,2 station to reach. Acropolis using the red line metro close to shops, resturants, cafe, supermarkets, bakery and laundry
Overnight stay
It was adequate for our purpose however was a little over rated in the star system. The staff were helpful and friendly, however there were not the facilities that you would expect to see in a four star hotel.
Convenient location
Biggest negative is that the internet only worked in the rooftop restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful but spoke limited English. Hotel is walking distance to Acropolis and restaurants and it was easy to get a cab if you don't want to walk. Neighborhood seemed a little quiet but was safe.
Jacuzzi tub drain clogged
Jacuzzi tub drain clogged, water flooded all over bathroom. Found several flies and mosquitoes in the room.
Clean and comfortable
Athens way is very clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good and fresh and the rooftop bar/ restaurant is clean. Wifi worked great as each floor had its own wifi hotspot. Surrounding neighborhood is okay as to the west it seems sketchy while to the south and east it gets nicer and cleaner. All areas are still safe to walk through. On the last night, I did smell cigarette smoke from my room on the second floor, but it was the overnight desk staff smoking right by the hotel entrance/lobby. Other than that, it was a great stay. Would definitely book again.
Nice hotel
It was nice exprience. Breakfast was very good.
Great place to stay
The hotel is located conveniently in the center of the city. Metro is 2-3 blocks away, 10-20 min walk will get you to Sintagma or the City garden. The neighborhood is safe and central. The hotel is in great condition, the staff absolutely helpful. The rooms are not big, but are comfortable. Great breakfast on the nice rooftop terrace and on a very reasonable price.
Bayram Tatili
Hotel in via Ippokrateus
Very good location and s good price for a big room. Nothing missing
Gutes Stadthotel in Szeneviertel
A 10 minute walk to athens city center and also walking distance to a lot of restaurants and bars. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Camera e bagno molto grandi. Ottima la pulizia. Personale alla reception molto gentile e disponibile
Every thing was good
Posizione molto comoda perché vicino alla metro e a tante attrazuioni turistiche e negozi, personale molto gentile, colazione ottima, stanza pulita e ampia
Athens way
gutes Hotel in zentraler Lage
Tolles Hotel zentrale Lage
Hotel is near to many place at athens
We are early came there but the official make sure the room was ready and promite us to enter the room. Beautiful and kindly recepsionist and handsome official and polite also make you comfort there. I will back here if i go to athens. Nearly here there is a picture workshop. An art of athens

Second time stay. Highly recommended
