Good for the price

4/5 for location and cleanliness.

I thought my room reflected the price I payed, however... there were a couple of nights when it was a bit hot. If there would been 2 people in my room, it would have been way too hot. But all in all, I'd stay here again.

Booked a separate 2 bed. Turns out to be in a room that is small that my luggage didn’t even fit in the room. Bed was super tiny too.

Check in was easy and the rooms were comfortable. All the facilities were very clean and well maintained. Had an excellent stay and would definitely use Winstrup hostel again!

The best bang for your buck in Lund

This was the second time staying at Winstrup. This hotel, in my opinion, is the best bang for your buck in Lund. You are minutes from the train station and busses to all of Sweden. You are close to the university. You are a short walk away from Malmborgs (grocery store) and they are opened until 23.00 every day. AND, it's a great place to meet people.

The hostel itself is nicely located near the center of Lund. Check-in information was provided in an email and all was clear. The shared rooms and bedroom were very clean. The mattresses could use an upgrade. They were clean aswell, but not really supporting.

Quite basic but cost effective, my room had four beds, but I was not told how many other people would be staying there (that would be helpful).

Love everything except security.

I love everything about this place except the security. The front door code unchanged, the room code unchanged. There’s no front desk receptionist. The people previously stayed can easily come back into the room. I’m not comfortable with the security at all.

Quiet gem in central Lund

This is a quiet gem very close to Lund central station and about five minute walk to just about anything in the heart of Lund. I am in my 50’s and usually do not stay in hostels. That said, this one sounded great for location and from reviews. The owner was terrific in communicating by email and let me know that I needed to request a padlock if needed or a towel. That was very helpful because that was not included in the information on hotels.com. The hostel is clean, sparkling clean actually. I stayed in the women’s room with eight cozy cubby’s for beds and an attached private bathroom with 4 sinks, 3 stalls, and two showers. The room is quite spacious and there is lots of storage. The common area is very nice, with lots of seating and the kitchen is well organized and I felt quite at home in it. The beds are a single mattress which I liked because I like a more firm bed. The pillow is comfortable but not puffy so if you like big fat pillows you may want to see about requesting an extra. There is a privacy curtain on the bed so when others are in the room with you then you can create a private space. The best thing about this hotel is how economical it is! Sweden can be expensive and here you can stay for many days and you won’t break the bank. I highly recommend this hotel!

I'm not use to this lack of reception although the staff I eventually found was friendly and spoke English well. Nice bunks mounted to the wall and had curtains. Nice WiFi

Easy to get to from the train station. Large room, and very quiet. The curtain on the bunks are nice, but can feel a little claustrophobic.

Good location, good room, snoring room mates

Good place and good value, but it can be a night mare if you have a loudly snoring room mate. The hotel should offer snore-free rooms or offer earplugs with each room

clean hostel in city centre

Winstrup is a hostel where you sleep 6 or 8 persons in a room. The beds are like small boxes and do give some privacy actually, but you still share the room and bathroom with others. No one snored in my room luckily. As all hostels you can prepare your meals if you wish. This you know when booking, so if you can live with all that you'll have a nice visit!

Best Hostel in Lund

comfortable and quiet

It was a great experience, especially considering the great price! The beds are comfortable and the little "cubbies" they're in makes them cozy and private. There's plenty of room to sit up inside, along with a reading light, outlet, and small shelf for book, phone, etc. I stayed in the middle of the week and only saw a few other people, who were all quiet and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised that people of all ages were there-- from 20s to retirement age-- and looked as if they were both leisure and business travelers.

Good value for the money

Very comfortable for its price. At the time I was there it was mostly filled with university students that had yet to find other Accommodation. Everything went silent before 10.

Städning var utmärkt och personalen mycket vänlig. Rummet var dåligt ventilerat. Sängen ok, dålig kudde. Dusch och toalett ok.

Medelbra hostel som funkar för kort vistelse

Vandrarhemmet funkar nog för en mycket kort vistelse. Dörrarna i korridoren är tunga och låter mycket när stängs av, ljudisolering är dålig. Sängen är obekväm och rummet är för litet samt saknar fönster. Bodde i mini-hotellet dvs ensam på rummet. Köket däremot är bra utrustad och rent.

Utmärkt hotel i Lund

Mycket bra ställe att sova och vistas på. Flexibelt med stort allrum samt bra toaletter/duschar och möjlighet att laga mat i gemensamt kök. Rent och fräscht överallt. Centralt beläget så ett mycket bra ställe på alla sätt.

Väldigt bra vistelse på alla sätt! Madrasserna var dock lite tunna så man kände träbotten när man låg ner. Hade varit bättre med tjockare madrasser. Speciellt för dem som har ryggproblem.

Spartanskt men väl fungerande. Skön säng – sov bra!

Jag var väldigt nöjd med min vistelse på detta välskötta hostel. Lugnt och skönt i ett vackert äldre tegelhus på gånganstånd från Centralstationen.

Vandrarhem som levererar det som utlovats, dock alldeles för varmt under sommaren för att kunna sova.

Supersmidigt och trevligt boende! Jättefina tillbehör i köket. Enda nackdelen var den starka mögelstanken i badrummet utanför sovsalen Garbo.

Bra för en övernattning

Sov två nätter innan jag fick tillgång till min lägenhet. Helt okej för en kort vistelse med bra läge i förhållande till station och centrum. Men såg inte röken av någon personal, oavsett tid på dygnet. Inte världens gästvänligaste eller mest välkomnande ställe direkt. Skulle ej vilja stanna för längre resa eller semester.

Lugnt o tyst inte lyhört. Supermysigt,rent o fräscht. Allt man behöver finns. Mycket centralt!!

sehr zentral, sauber, günstig und prima für Selbstversorger (Gemeinschaftsküche). Ich war nur 1 Nacht dort, und es hat gut für mich gepasst. Mein Bett war eine kleine Koje, sodass man auch im Mehrbettzimmer seine Privatsphäre hat. Kommt auf jeden Fall wieder in Frage, wenn ich allein oder mit Freunden eine Unterkunft in Lund brauche.

Väldigt trevligt och rent. Centralt och bra. Det enda som egentligen drar ner betyget från full pott är sängarna, de knarrar vi minsta rörelse vilket kanske kan upplevas störande om man är en light sleeper. Jag väckte mig själv varje gång jag vände på mig, brukar inte vara känslig för ljud!😁

Rent och tyst i sovsalen, billigt boende i centrala Lund. Hade varit toppen med frukost mot betalning, men förstår att det inte kan ordnas

Nice and clean

Really comfortable beds as pods and everything was clean. However very few people where there so no one to talk to and when I wanted to change room they added 10 euro to my bill "for changing bedlinen" even if i would gladly take my own linen.

Very kind, When I visit Lund again, I will stay here again. The clerk was very friendly and the kitchen was very clean.

Extrem sauber, unkompliziert check in/out, Privatsphäre durch Vorhänge über die komplette Bettlänge, vom.Bahnhof in 2min zu Fuß erreichbar.

Det var bra och smidigt att checka in och ut . Bra personal svarar direkt , men rumet var inte rent och ingen frisk luft .

街の雰囲気のあるエリアにあり便利です、清潔ですし駅からも徒歩５分かかりません。ただ、ホステルの方は２４時間不在なので、何かあった場合は電話でのみ対処となるのが不安。全てコード番号を入れるシステムなので不慣れな方には微妙かもしれません。
