Decent property in good location. Very helpful staff.

We arrived at the hotel at 3pm and no one was there we could not get in luckily for us an Italian man was also checking in and he opened a locked box which had our door card in it with info written only in Italian. We received an email advising us how to gain entry about an hour and a half after we arrived again in Italian only. Air conditioning didn’t work and when we found someone to ask on our third and last day he just said it did work but did not cool the room down. This is not really a hotel and should not be advertised as such. The reception said it was manned 9-6 but we did not see anyone very often. Poor toiletries provided in very small sachets of body wash only not even enough for one!!

Was ok, breakfast could be better

No one was present when I arrived at 4:00 pm even though they said that someone would be there until 5:00. I had to get the clerk at the Hotel Princessa on the 1st floor to call the owner of Why Not Roma to get the code to get into my room. Apparently, the owner had sent me an email earlier that day with instructions; however, I was in transit via rail and didn't have email access. The morning hostess, though, cleaned the room daily and was helpful and gracious. Breakfasts are very minimal (croissant and yoghurt). If you want any protein (meats, eggs, etc.) in the mornings, go elsewhere. Also, this isn't located in a tourist-friendly area--it's surrounded by banks, embassies, businesses and expensive restaurants.

This is such a great property to stay in. We were here for 6 days. My arrival time was way past their check in time and when i messaged them for a late check in, they replied promptly with a set of instructions to retrieve my key from their lock box. Curiously theyre on the 5th floor with a shared entrance with Hotel Priscilla (it took us a second to figurethat out) When we checked in the following morning we were greeted by the lovely Anita. I dont think i have enough words to say how grateful I was of her hospitality. She gave us a map of the city, bus routes, places to eat, everything we needed. She was always a pleasure to talk to and she was incredibly helpful. Conveniently Taverna Priscilla is downstairs and its a wonderful place to eat after a long day walking the city. Marino, their waiter gave us first class service. Would I stay again here? Without a shadow of a doubt. A++++

The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood, direct bus connection to the city center. Everything with the room was ok, I would improve the breakfast with more options.

Its located 10min walk from main train station. It was walkable distance for us. Very frendly, helpful staff. Just little bit difficult to talk or ask to staff because reception opens limited time. We had a situation that we stucked inside due to main auto gate was not working. And it was after reception closed. We had only this issue. Without that i would recommand. But i would say this is not "hotel" more like B&B style.

I'd go back again

The location is a little far from the main attraction, but there's a bus near the hotel that can take you to the popular spots. I was able to walk around fine to the Colosseum and to the Roman ruins from the hotel. The receptionist provided me with a map and gave me detailed directions on what bus to take to go to specific places that I requested. Breakfast is average: Drink- coffee, tea, juice, and water Food- toast crackers, jelly, cereal, croissants, etc. The room is nice and you have your own shower (small and very weak water pressure, but doable), they also have in unit ac, and provide free WiFi (it didn't work for me).

finding the Location of hotel after arrival at Rome was really very troublesome. hotel is good for staying and service is also good. Breakfast is also good.

Comfortable, Modern B&B near the centre of town.

This 5th floor B&B attaches to another hotel (Priscilla) is about 20-30 minute walk for the centre attractions. Plenty of minor attractions on the way. Cheap but nice restaurants nearby. Taxi rank nearby - use the licensed ones only! Had trouble getting into the room initially - apparently emailed all the info but it wasn't there, the contact number also didn't work for us. Priscilla helped us to gain access though. They were very helpful and also booked our early taxi for departure. Very impressed with the room when we did get in. Sizeable, modern, clean and with a mini fridge and a brilliant shower. However, you could see the person washing - maybe less suitable for non-couples... Our AC wasn't working and that the safe was locked. With no permanent reception and with us being out early and home late, the only staff we spoke to in 5 days was a maid who didn't speak English. Using Google Translate - she said she'd refer to her employer but heard nothing back about the issues the entire trip. A safe isn't vital for us and Rome was cool enough to survive the nights in April but this could be issues at other times for different customers. Continental breakfast was nothing special but sufficient to stock up for a long day. Nice yogurts and pastries. Overall, after initial frustration, we did enjoy our stay here as it was basically a comfortable rest stop. I'm not fussy but like to nit-pick in reviews to prepare the fussy people! Would stay again.

QUIET, SAFE , WALKING DISTANCE OF DOWNTOWN.

Located in a residential area. Very secure. 2-3 block away from the USA Embassy and French Embassy.(Military area supervised 24). Several hight end hotels are on the same Calabria Street. But there are several local affordables places and rest. to eat and the best gelateria La Romano since 1947 open until midnight. You will see a long line of more that 50 locals until midnight. Area offer less expensive and more local food away from the tourist fixed meals. If you walk one block noth of Calabria you will find stores and many casual caffeterias and places to eat at night. Walk Piave and then all the busses are there. they are fun to ride.Termini or downtown Rome is a walk of 10-15 minutes.Taxi $12 euros at night in emergency. I walked most of the time and came late at night. It is a quiet area. If you like noise, tourist and lights then, this is not for you. Very clean and manteined hotel. Spotless and brand new clean sheets. Breakfast is very good. The only down point is that after 5pm the front desk is closed. You are on your own. If you need information or you lose your keys, well.. good luck. Ekevator is for 2/3 people but Rome is like that. Priscilla hotel is the main entrance and WNR is on top floor. I liked the area but sometimes I found myself to quiet and away from the Center. But the price is affordable and would come back next time. VERY QUIET, AFFORDABLE, SUPER CLEAN, LOCAL SHOPS AND VARIOUS REST. AND CAFFETERIAS AROUND. CLOSE TO TERMINI AND BUSSES A PLUS.

Modern & Basic. GreatTransport area to Explore Rom

Stayed for 5 nights just before Easter 2015. We wanted something that looked clean and modern at a reasonable price. Why Not Roma is actually located on the 5th level of an older building that also holds the Hotel Priscilla. We used the bus stop 200m away on Via Piave for buslines 38, 92. 223 and 360 mainly as this went to and from Termini Station though there is also one directly across from hotel for another area of city. Rooms are basic but look ok, can see some finishes are not great such as paintjob on corners and seal in shower though overall it matched our needs well. We walked to the Borghese Gardens on the first day and this took maybe 20 minutes though we stopped for photos along the way. We found this location perfect to get around easily and explore the city. We were out most days 8am-11pm so there was no real need for any fancy extras we would not use. Wifi was good and allowed us to purchase tickets to Vatican Museums online before we attended (an absolute must as line stretched almost all the way to St Peters when we went (at least a 4hr wait) and we walked straight in within 30seconds due to prepurchase. Breakfast is very basic and appeared to be whatever was leftover was reused the next few days - croissant/cake or cereal and yogurt but was enough for us to get some energy to start walking around looking for gelato. Overall, I would definitely stay here again as there is so much to do in Rome you want to explore the city, not be in the room.

Simple

Why Not Roma is a simple 6 bedroom guest house (on one floor). The service was good, although there is no one around after 1pm in the afternoon, which sounds bad but actually makes it like a home from home kind of place. You let yourself in, can have tea and coffee and it's very quiet. Breakfast is simple, with choice of hot drinks and juices, croissants, yoghurt and cereal. The girl on reception each morning was lovely and very accommodating. Although English was limited, we managed well using Google Translate! She helped us out with everything that we asked and always seemed happy to help. A very simple accommodation to the north of the city, in easy reach of the attractions by walking or bus. This is a no frills hotel but no complaints from us :-)

Very nice place for the price.

This is a nice, small B&B, with modern rooms on the top floor of a building that also contains a boutique hotel. It's a quiet neighborhood with several decent food and drink options nearby, and easy access by bus or taxi to livelier parts of the city.

Great Value!

Great place, wonderful rooms and very helpful staff (Ciao, Alexandra!) make this B&B a great option when visiting Rome. It is a bit outside the historical center, but you can easily get there by Bus (which stops right in front of the hotel) or 15 minute walk through the great Via Venetto. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Would definitely stay at Why Not Roma again!

Excellent! Near most tourist places. Street is noisy at night but still great. Young woman at reception is outstanding. I will return again when in Roma.

very clean and tidy, good location 10-15 mins walk from the railway station but not *too close*, in fact this is located very close to Piazza Fiume (Porta Pia). Good free wifi, too. Recommended, will be back. (one small oddity is that the shower enclosure has a glass panel onto the room, so people in the room will see you in the shower... not sure this is intentional? :-)

Good location, comfy bed, easy check-in after office hours. Air conditioning didn't work, weird glass-box shower.

Im großen und ganzen alles optimal. Zimmer und Bad sauber und groß genug. Alles unkompliziert. Kleines Minus gibt es für das Frühstück. Es wird auf dem Zimmer abgepackt bereit gestellt. Ist also nur ein kleine Starthilfe in den Tag, aber kein Genuß.

Aamiainen ainoastaan kahvi ja makea croissant sekä marjapiirakka ja mehu huoneeseen edellisenä päivänä tuotuna. Onneksi huoneessa oli jääkaappi, johon toimme itse syötävää. Parasta hotellissa oli Filippiineiltä lähtöisin oleva respan neitonen.Korkeintaan yhden tähden arvoinen hotelli.

Veel geluid van buiten en binnen, geen airco, de tegels van de douche waren niet schoon. Geen parkeergelegenheid bij hotel alleen openbare gelegenheid in de buurt.

Rent og greit

Helt greit og fint. Rent, god dusj og helt ok seng. Et stykke utenfor hovedsentrum, relativt rolig. Gode kollektivtransport muligheter og et par veldig gode restauranter i nabolaget. Trivelig personale. Litt kjedelig frokost om man er opptatt av det- men ganske vanlig for italiensk standard.

O quarto foi incrivel, muito limpo e amplo. Ótima higiene, organização, localização etc.. Achei apenas o café da manhã muito simples, muito simples mesmo. Além disso, se a hospedagem for para mais de uma pessoa recomendaria deixar mais de um cartão para porta. Tirando isso, foi excelente. Fica ao lado de um restaurante e supermercado, e à 15 minutos da Fontana. Não precisamos pegar nenhum transporte, conhecemos tudo a pé.

Konum olarak güzel bir yerdeydi. Trevi çeşmesine 25 dk yürüme mesafesinde. Oda büyüklüğü güzel ancak duş kokuyordu. Ve duş başlığı bozuktu. Temizliği pek sevemedim. Avrupada neden otellerde kullan at terlik yok anlamıyorum. Otele ilk geldiğimde 40 dk lobi çalışanını bekledim. Bir daha tercih etceğimi sanmıyorum

Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einem sehr schönen italienischen Altbau. Die Lage ist perfekt- sehr ruhige und schöne Gegend und man ist zu Fuß sehr schnell im Zentrum. Alles sehr sauber und genau wie auf den angegebenen Fotos. Aufgrund von Corona war das Frühstücksbuffet geschlossen, daher hab ich jeden Tag mein Frühstück mit einer Auswahl auf meinem Zimmer bereits gestellt gehabt, inklusive Kaffeemaschine. Check-in und Check-out war sehr easy und die Betreuung an der Rezeption sehr nett.

Es una habitación amplia y cómoda. La ducha funciona ok. Pude llamar a la persona encargada al teléfono que figura en Google (no es el número q figura acá ) porque no andaba bien el aire acondicionado y lo soluciono inmediatamente. Está ubicado en un zona tranquila a unos 10 minutos a pie de Termini y de estación de metro. El precio calidad está muy bien!! Recepción solo por la mañana pero llamas si necesitas algo.

Очень скверные завтраки. Думали о них как о наказании. Нет нормальной кофемашины, только вендинговый автомат с очень скверными напитками. На завтрак нет никаких овощей или фруктов, нет ничего мясного. Сплошной сахар и скверные круассаны. В душевой очень плохой напор. Очень. Чтобы намокнуть целиком надо ждать минуты две. Очень шумный холодильник, мешал спать. Пришлось выключить. Матрасы давно пора менять - продавлены. Шумоизоляция слабая. Вайфай ловил слабо, но ловил. В отеле все чисто, вид порадовал. Обслуживание ненавязчивое и приятное. В целом, если бы было немного дешевле - вопросов бы ни к чему не было. Завтраки точно не стоили своих денег. Проще поесть в чудесных местных бистро возле отеля.

Belle le camere, molto moderne- soprattutto la doccia ha quel chè di intrigante per le coppie molto gradevole. La colazione un po' povera.

Personale disponibile a darci informazioni su come muoverci per roma e cosa vedere. La struttura neanche tanto male. Peccato che su quattro giorni 2 li abbiamo passati senza riscaldamento e senza acqua calda!!!

Situato a ca15minuti a piedi dal centro, camera confortevole e silenziosa, la colazione non ha prodotti salati, ma solo dolci con succhi e yogurt, mentre le bevande calde sono con distributore comunque nel complesso sufficiente

Bed and breakfast posto in zona tranquilla ma ben servito da autobus e a 20 minuti a piedi dalla metropolitana. Vicino ai giardini di Villa Borghese. Camere nuove, accoglienti e di dimensioni adeguate a soggiorni dedicati alla visita di una città. Personale cortese, disponibile e che sa consigliare. Giudizio complessivo ottimo per le ns. necessità. Dovessi fare un altro viaggio a Roma, ci ritornerei sicuramente.

Da chiudere.

La reception è quasi inesistente, gli orari pubblicati non sono rispettati. Due giorni su tre la tv non ha funzionato (giustificazione banale: il tecnico non ha saputo risolvere il problema). Il giorno della partenza l'acqua calda non era disponibile; la colazione pessima e il giorno della partenza manca il latte per il cappuccino. Al momento del check-out, non hanno chiesto nemmeno scusa per il disagio.

Accogliente, silenzioso,pulito

Permanenza di solo una notte a Roma. Si trova vicino a Porta Pia dove si trovano molti mezzi per raggiungere vari punti della città. A 15 min a piedi da stazione Termini. All'arrivo sono stata accolta benissimo, molto disponibile e gentile a darmi tutte le informazioni richieste anche turistiche.saletta ristoro con caffè a cialde disponibile per i clienti a qualsiasi ora così come il contenuto del frigo e l'acqua. Camere pulite e accoglienti, ben riscaldate e confortevoli anche se minimal.

Hotelteam war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir sind bisher in vielen Hotels untergekommen, jedoch hatten wir bis dato niemals einen so wunderbaren und freundlichen Empfang und Aufenthalt wie in dieser Unterkunft. Die Zimmer sind modern, groß und sauber. Das Frühstück ist ein italienisches, süßes Frühstück. Preis- Leistungs- Verhältnis ist unschlagbar.

Huoneessa ja muissa tiloissa haisi viemäri koko kolmen päivän reissun ajan eikä ilma ei vaihtunut kunnolla. Pussilakanoita ei ollut, vaan pelkästään villaiset peitot. Aamiainen oli varmaan mannermainen, mutta suomalaiseen makuun ihan liian suppea ja makea. Aamiastiloissa lattia oli huonossa kunnossa ja jalat meinasivat mennä siitä läpi. Respan nainen oli ihan mukava ja avulias, mutta päätti hänkin rahastaa ja ottaa taksin soittamisesta 10€. En menisi toista kertaa enkä suosittele paikkaa kenellekään.

Dårlig start på ferien, men fin standard

Det var vores første tur til Rom og vi ankom sent i lufthavnen i Chiampino. Kl. ca. halv et nåede vi frem til der hvor vi troede hotellet lå ifølge ruteanvisning, men der var INTET skilt der viste, at her lå hotellet. Efter at have gået frustreret rundt i en halv time (og forgæves ringet til både Hotels.com's kundeservice og hotellets telefonnummer), fandt vi navnet på hotellet på en af dørtelefonerne, men der var intet svar. Vi blev lukket ind af hotellet der lagde nedenunder, som hjalp os op til hotellet på 5. sal hvor vi blev lukket ind af en søvnig italiener, der ikke kunne ét ord på engelsk. Dagen efter fik vi at vide, at vi skulle have modtaget en mail fra hotellet, med anvisning til hvordan vi kom ind på hotellet (kode til nøgleboks) - men den havde vi aldrig modtaget. Trods en dårlig start, var det en rigtig sød receptionist, som var god til at komme med rejseforslag i byen + transport. Morgenmaden var OK - ikke det store. Værelset var i god stand, men deres WIFI fungerede dog ikke.

Positively surprised. Value for money!

Very happy about our stay at Why Not Roma. Good location. Helpful staff. Simple but nice breakfast and they provided us a baby bed for our 9 months old daugther free of charge. I would definitely come back.

Nie wieder

Unser Zimmer wurde nicht geputzt. Das Personal spricht nur italienisch. Es war fast nie jemand an der Rezeption. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag gleich, abgestandene Gipfel. Wirklich nicht zu empfehlen.

Bad Hotel 2/10 points

The hotel is very bad. There was a reception on the site with 3 languages. However we never saw the reception. On the first day there was no hot water for showering. Air conditioning was not working in the room. There was a bad smell in the room. All of the breakfast items are taken from the metro market. Not fresh. There was a lady in the morning. However, she does not speak any language except Italian. We told her to put a clean towel and clean the room. We wanted an invoice. He has not sent it yet.

La struttura si trova in una zona molto tranquilla, ad un quarto d'ora a piedi dalla stazione Termini e dalla fermata della metropolitana. Essenziale, ma pulita. Personale molto gentile.

Klare & angenehme Unterkunft Nähe Roma Termini

Ich habe den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und hatte ein ruhiges Zimmer zum Innenhof. Schönes & klares Design. Das einzige was nicht gut funktioniert hat war die Dusche - der Schwall Brausekopf war ungünstig direkt unter der Decke montiert und defekt so dass ein angenehmes duschen nicht möglich wäre. Und die Rezeption ist nur vormittags kontinuierlich während der zimmerreinigung besetzt - nachmittags nur wenn Gäste anreisen.
