We didn't stay. Arrived at the property but had not phoned 24 hours prior which was in the notes so my error. This was not obvious in the details. I think the process isn't good enough and I felt it needs to be clearer and a reminder sent. I phoned the number when we arrived and there was no answer. The manager did phone back a couple of hours later and seemed a very nice person. By this stage we had to book somewhere else which was obviously very inconvenient and expensive for a family of 5.
It’s a nice place to have a camping experience.
Not enough washroom for the guest.
It was a very happy and fun stay here! Don, the owner was very friendly and kind. Thank you Don!!
An Amazing Place
My daughter and I had a fantastic stay at Utopia. Our tent was immaculately clean and the bed was super comfortable. We got a tour of the whole resort by the host when we arrived and saw the amazing gardens, animals and buildings. This place has a lot to offer. We were glad that we brought along a battery-powered lantern and some flashlights to use in the evening. I would def stay there again and would highly recommend it!
We stayed 2 nights on our way to Vancouver and it was an amazing experience. A lot to do at the campground and in the surrounding areas. Tents (Yurts) were spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. There is something for everyone at the campground from animals to karaoke and a huge firepit to an indoor lounge to relax with friends and family. Doug, the owner, is a great host, very accommodating and helpful. The rest of the staff was very friendly and courteous as well. It is one of a kind experience and I would definitely recommend it.
If you are looking for a completely unique experience, this is the perfect place!
There is shared kitchen and ONLY ONE Washroom among 7-9 tents so one can guess how mornings will be! The common kitchen area smelled of Marijuana so it was not pleasant experience. If the night is cold the duvet/blanket are of poor quality so will not be sufficient.
Highly Recommended. Friendly & very accomodating host. Nice place to stay. Excellent glamping experienced.
The setting was beautiful peaceful. The owner gave us a tour of the site the animals veggies he has raised there so far. The Yurt was beautiful comfortable, and each one had a table chairs or picnic table for dining. There was a shared kitchen where one could cook some people seemed to have grilles at their tents. We bought some veggies grown on the property, and did a 10 minute drive into town to get picnic food at the local Save on Foods. Very fun to camp in style, without having to pack gear on our trip! We look forward to visiting again; to stay to see how his fun sustainable micro farm evolves grows over time!
An actual utopia
One of the best experiences you could have travelling. Tent is comfortable and clean, as are indoor bathrooms. Entertainment house well equiped. But the animals, farm, and host are what makes this a place you cant miss. If anywhere near the area, stay here. Promise you wont be disappointed!
What an amazing experience! My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights. Everything about our stay here was perfect- the staff were friendly and helpful. Such a unique place, can’t wait to stay again.
Good People
Mr Doug who owns this property was fully drunk. We booked a tent with three queen beds for five people but on the spot he was asking to pay him $150 cash more because we didn’t mention on the booking that we are five. That’s was insane, why one person will book 3 queens. No electricity arrangements. Beds are full with spiders and ants. Never going to recommend any one.
The real conditions of this property are not as shown on Expedia. Had to rebook another hotel. Lost one night booking. Will never book this property again.
The staff always friendly and welcoming, the experience of having the farm animals to visit with and fire pit use as well as the tents set up with bedding was good. It was a draw for young kids. I would have brought or requested extra bedding though if available as we had to dress warmer mid evening.
It is a large camp site with amenities. Close to nature. Toilets & shower space are far from some tents & inconvenient at night. The internal road should better be paved with more aggregate (small stones) to avoid muddy condition when wet. Better lighting at night desirable.
We stayed with our young kids and they loved it! We did too. Owners were very friendly and helpful, and made such we had everything we needed while camping. The unique experience of staying in the tents and on the farm was fun! We loved the lounge with pool table, couches, bar and seeing the animals. Would have loved to have a fire in the fire pit or barbecued a meal if we had been staying longer. This is not the same as going to a hotel. Lots of interaction to be expected with the fellow campers, minimal privacy, and remember - you are camping!
First stop on out Western Canada roadtrip. After a long day on the plan and in the car, we got to this cosy and nice place! Doug showed us around and was helpful at every time. The tent was nice, the bed comfortable and the area really cool with all the features you could think of, as kitchen, pool-table, tv, pets, and many more.

Apologies for the late review but I had a really crazy month - My parents and sisters family were on vacation with me and we all went and spent a night here midst our travels in kamploops Kelowna. The host was very friendly and helpful. We arrived pretty late to check in and it was no problem at all - the place is very beautiful and the vegetable gardens are a must see - also do check out the friendly pig and cow
