Adorable little cottage in the mountains, had a great stay :)
It was lovely to have the heater on when we arrived. Nice but dated. Very unkept out side. With a little work it could be really lovely. Ok, but only worth half the money we paid.
Stunning , private, cosy!
Peaceful , safe, clean. It was the perfect Cottage! You can’t go wrong. Just a note - You can here the traffic on the road , not bad but i am just mentioning it.
The interior of the cottage was warm and welcoming, but the exterior looked tired and uncared for. The pathway down the hill to the cottage was dangerous at night. The lack of being able to talk to a live person made check in difficult and time consuming after a 4-hour drive to get there. A minor issue; the carton of long-life milk in the fridge was 5 months out of date and about to pop!
Tudor Cottages has very pretty surrounds and privacy.
Everything is perfect, but the only thing that needs improvement is installation wi-fi and supply tissue.
Incredibly relaxing cottage stay. Wish we could have stayed longer.
It was really cosy, clean and the fire was going when we got there. Felt really welcoming too.
Not as good as we thought it would be Way better places up there
Clean cottage!
We only stayed there for a night. Booked the Elan cottage and it was pretty clean and comfortable. The area is beautiful and quiet. I guess if I had to pick for negatives, it’d be that firewood wasn’t included in the accommodation charge. Guests have to buy their own-bit inconvenient. Maybe they could include the firewood cost during autumn and winter.
Absolutely lovely cottage with a woodburner and spa bath, close to William Ricketts sanctuary. The kitchen is well equipped, and the wifi reception is good. We really enjoyed our stay.
Tudor Cottages
Other than a few minor points, this was a relaxing stay at Tudor Cottages. Fireplace is a wood heater (not open as the images suggest), and Evora Cottage shares a common wall with the adjoining Elan cottage.
Nice cabin,clean private
Great value..good heating, quiet and private only negative was it was hard to find in the dark..could use some better signage on the street
Probably was lovely once
Reasonable location but on a main road, with a difficult driveway and poor signage making it difficult to find especially after dark. Not too clean, Woodfire advertised but no wood supplied. Honestly, nothing very special to recommend it, but OK value.
Nice area - scenic
Driveway is terrible, access dangerous on bend, need to take extreme care with entry, easy to damage underside of vehicle, property needs a little TLC.
Very average
The bed broke and was not fixed, the power went out with no heating or local supplies for the fire place, left us in the dark with no warmth. Over all the place was dusty and no donna covers.
Cute cottage. All that is missing is a rack to hang clothes on. No mobile or internet service if your provider is vodaphone or Optus . As others reviews have said it is not that easy to locate driveway so better not to attempt to find it at night. Would stay again.
Cosy
Cosy little cottage, suited our needs perfectly. Would definitely stay again.
Great value for money
We stayed at the evora cottage 11-12 August we had a wonderful stay great location and room was wonderful great spa very comfy bed and awesome fireplace. Directions and information were concise and exact we experienced no problems and found this place to be excellent value for money
Cute little dandenongs getaway!
We recently stayed 2 nights in this gorgeous private cottage. Beautiful surrounds, close to Olinda & all its amenities. Arrived after dark to the owners having put the heater on for us which was lovely. We enjoyed our stay in Etna Cottage immensely. The gas conara heater & spa bath were highlights. Bed super comfy and the scebery around the cottage stunning. Driveway tricky to enter, but correspondence from the owners prior to our stay was beneficial with warning around the dangers of turning into it. Thank you so much for a wonderful couple of days away. We would highly recommend this property and will be returning ourselves :)
A cold stay
There were no staff at the hotel, and the keys were at the room. It was cold out side during our stay and the heater didn't work.
We had an awesome stay, thank you! :-)
Not what was expected
The first impression is the cottages are rustic and that's about where it stops. Old and dated and tired would sum them up. Obviously don't get much maintenance, bathroom sink was blocked, light globe out in main room, air-conditioner in bathroom didn't work (smelt like it was burning out), possum or rodent in roof. As for the "instructions" on what to do, give me a break, I would like some welcoming comments rather than - 'if you move the furniture you'll be charged $150',' if you're there on Sunday put the garbage bins out on the road', 'if you want a log fire you have to go and buy your wood, your firelighters and your matches', 'leave the place as you found it', 'park only in the space allocated to you cottage'. It was cold, very cold and as there was only a flimsy summer weight doona on the bed we had to run the air-conditioner all night or else we would have frozen, no additional blankets provided (probably because we'd have to pay for em!). If you want people to come back, give them a good experience to entice them. I couldn't see how this place would get any repeat business, there's plenty of other places to choose from up there.
A nice Cottage.
At some stage we needed a torch and there wasn't any.
Mountain retreat
We had a nice time staying at this little cottage. It was clean and comfortable and once we got the heaters going, it was also warm. The spacious spa bath was a treat. It is an easy walk to the Pig & Whistle, which we recommend for a meal.

Bed linen was observed to be dirty when taken out of closet. No quilt cover on the bed. The complimentary shampoo/ conditioner and body wash we’re used and half empty. We’re unable to open any of the windows as painted shut and as it got very smoky from the fire. Ants in the kitchen cupboard Wasps got in to the cottage and had no fly spray or windows to open.
