Quick overnight trip

Quick overnight stay. Check in was easy and friendly. Great location and cool hotel

Great property and professional staff

Only issues were that the rooms a/c was off when we arrived, so there was a strong cleaner smell lingering due to the lack of air movement. The shower head was also in poor condition; only half of the nozzles worked, so showers were a bit unpleasant. Otherwise, everything else was good. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

I loved that everything was very convenient, stores, restaurans and casinos.

Property was conveniently located and staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, although I would have loved some oatmeal as an option. Bacon was thin and very greasy, so the sausage was a great option. Loved having coffee available in the evening. People above us were loud, but overall, a good stay.

Nice staff and clean room.

Great stay. We felt safe. The property was clean and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed our room view of the canal behind the hotel. The only thing that was bothersome was at night the lights facing the hotel was coming through the side of the pull down shades. I would suggest curtains. Not sure why there are outside lights facing the hotel itself, but it was the only issue. Thanks for a great stay!

No real breakfast for the price

Nice, clean, new property. Only issue was the water didn’t get very hot in the shower.

Tru by Hilton was amazing! Such a clean property, the front staff was super nice and friendly, breakfast options were great, as well as the amenities provided. Definitely booking again once I’m back in Lake Charles!

Very quiet and clean

Only complaint is walls seem to be thin. We were awakened at 4 am from people talking and walking.

The property was convenient to restaurants and casinos by car. The room was clean and roomy. The shampoo and body wash were refreshing.

Lake Charles Tru hotel

Very nice new hotel, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent morning hot breakfast will be the only place we stay in Lake Charles.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Facilities were very clean and well organized. Room price was among the best for my budget. Climate controls in my room were very responsive and accurate.

Decorative and different kinda a fun vibe, clean and bed was not bad...lots of shopping and restaurants.

Hilton definitely went cheaper on Tru hotels. Still a quality outfit, clean, conformable and a good staff. Rooms were smalll, and walls seemed paper thin. Beds were ok. Could've spent a little for a decent comforter.

The stay was great! The only problem was a barking dog, but that's really in the owner than the hotel.

Above and beyond service

I was very impressed with this hotel. All of the staff were absolutely great and they all went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Another hidden gem in LC. Warm and welcoming. Front desk staff make you feel at home. Nice and quiet with views overlooking Contraband Bayou.

We liked the newness of the hotel. I liked that it was personalized -my name on the Tv screen and that they text me if we needed anything. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the stay very well!!!

Our new go-to stay in Lake Charles.

Check in was easy. Staff was nice. Lobby has activities and there is a clean work out room. They have free coffee and tea all day, and you can purchase snacks and sundries. Free breakfast consists of pancakes, bagels, toast, eggs, bacon, and grits, as well as 3 cereals, some yogurt, and fresh fruit.

The refrigerator was broke, complained and nothing was done.

The hotel was clean and the staff were super sweet. Only issues is that the walls where extra thin and I could hear the other rooms talking.

Can hear TV in next room! Luckily they turned it off at 1030, but turned it back on at 6 this morning! Not Good Sound Proofing!

Showerhead needs to be cleaned since the holes were blocked by calcium and the mattress was not comfortable at all. Was not able to get my sleep.

Staff was super friendly! Felt safe in the area and also the cleanliness of the hotel was amazing!! We loved our stay there and will definitely come back to stay here in future trips!

Nice an clean

Convenient, quiet, clean and comfortable. Only complaint would be what appears evidence of upcoming mold on ceiling (typical occurrence in this humid south). Might want to kilnz and repaint. Not a huge turnoff, I would stay here again.

Evening staff was friendly, morning staff not so much. Room could use updates: beds sitting on metal platform looked cheap, some water damage in restroom floor corners.

Clean, comfortable and good location

What can you do?

The room was very clean. The only turn off was when I went to grab a kleenex tissue there was an old q tip that came out of the box. The qtip had earwax on it from previous guests.That was kind of nasty. How would house keeping have known that, not sure! The walls are thin. The first time my husband and I stayed at Tru in June 2023 we could hear the couple next door talking & watching television all night. On this particular stay we could hear the couple next door being adults.I just wish the walls were sound proof to help us quiter quests relax and notbe disturbed by the louder quests.

They ran put of bacon at breakfast. Otherwise it was great.

Like the Contemporary decor. Very clean. Room cool. Front desk friendly. Lots of snacks to purchase. The only problem is bed was hard.

I felt like a celebrity in this hotel. It was so clean and comfortable. The bed was better than any I've ever slept in. The view of the lake was also nice.

The location was great and its is located with several other hotels sharing an access and parking lots. I was a little disappointed in the size of the room, but it was well planned and we had plenty of room to sit, dress and sleep!

My family and I stayed here for one night for a baseball tournament. The property was clean and well maintained. I was able to go to the lobby Saturday night to work on a sermon and it was quiet enough for me to complete everything. The breakfast was pretty decent. The water got hot and the air conditioner was working perfectly. If you’re looking for a nice, safe, and clean to stay, book here!!
