Everything was perfect. I asked them lower bed because of my health condition but wasn’t available as they said,even though there were 3 lower beds free when I arrived. Also I was on the 4th floor,internet was so bad,wasn’t working at all. I told them and they answered that I could work at kitchen or in lobby.

This property was so nice and in an excellent location in the city! We had a private room with a private bathroom and it was exactly what we needed for our stay

Good & Bad

The hostel’s location is fantastic , it’s close to public transport and major attractions. - The common areas are trendy and social, perfect for meeting other travelers. - Staff were friendly and helpful during check-in. But … - Noise Levels Were Unbearable: My biggest issue was the lack of sleep. The dorm was chaotic all night: people coming/going at odd hours, loud conversations, and even late-night showers. It felt more like a transit hub than a place to rest. - Zero Consideration for Others: Some guests blasted TikTok videos without headphones. Basic hostel etiquette was missing. If you’re a solo traveler looking to party and don’t care about sleep, this might work. But for anyone needing rest, think twice – the noise and lack of privacy ruined my stay. I left exhausted, not energized.

No privacy curtains

It's one star for a reason. They can't be bothered to install privacy curtains especially in the mixed rooms. The bathrooms are gross, only allowed to eat in the tiny kitchen in the basement where you received zero cell service. They won't store your luggage even though they have MASSIVE store on the side...just pick and choose who they offer it to. Spend the extra money, don't stay here. If you REALLY don't care where you stay and on a SERIOUS budget...then you will like it. Otherwise

Room is very small, we were a party of 4 and our bags barely fit in. Rooms are not sound proof so you can hear people talking in the hallway

Ok inn Barcelona

Room is very small. There are no places to hang towels and for four people that was an issue. Also, you could hear the showers from other rooms. If it was during the day that would be fine but it seemed as if the other guest would take them after we fell asleep.

The 5-fam travelers

We are a family of 5 and booked a 6-person private room with a bathroom. It was great: enough space, a clean bathroom, comfortable beds, and an easy location.

Staff was very nice, hotel was perfect, very centered... they helped all the time, amazing place, very confortable..

Loved the hostel, great location and clean rooms and public areas. Only thing missing is privacy curtains for the beds.

Value for price

I had a comfortable stay this time too. I hesitated because the price was so expensive every time I came, but compared to other places, I was very satisfied.

This was our first hostel experience and worked out great for our family of 4's short visit to Barcelona. The location is excellent, easily walkable from Aerobus stop and metro stations, as well as tourist areas. Although a busy/loud area, when the windows were closed, it was very quiet for sleeping. Kids enjoyed a few dips in the pool despite the cooler weather. Would highly recommend for an affordable stay in the city.

Very clean and modern hostel with efficient reception check in and out, fingerprint recognition, security for the front door and dorm rooms, large personal storage lockers, and very comfortable beds. Super friendly and helpful staff and a great, all you can eat buffet breakfast for an extra charge. Beautiful pool table, although only one cue has the regular tip. Nice second story Terrace with a small swimming pool although when I was there in mid October, the water was too cold for me and because of tall buildings true sunbathing is limited to about one hour in the middle of the day. 30 percent more expensive than nice but older hostels in the old city and the prices seem to rise If you book close to arrival, so if you know your dates, it's wise to book a week or two in advance.

Amazing stay!

Extremely clean & cosy

Stayed in a women’s dorm room. Was clean and comfortable with a large personal locker, 2 private shower stalls and 2 private toilets. Walking distance to many attractions.

Loved the old architecture/brick left somewhat raw to view, but also the tiny elevator for my heavy suitcase to the 5th floor! Mattress way to squishy & unsupportive

I had a private room. It was small but had everything I needed. The safe was too small for laptop but everything else was very good.

The staff was very friendly. The bar are was nice and overall people were friendly as well.

This place is in the perfect spot, you can walk to all of the attractions.

So many better hostels in BCN

I stayed in two hostels while in Barcelona, this was my second, it was way over priced, zero service. I did not get a welcome drink as a gold member as advertised and no breakfast which was meant to be included. Reception lady was very rude, insisting I have to store my bags after checkout in a payable locker per hour, this is after they charge you €8 for a padlock. Basically very unapproachable staff, not helpful at all. I felt as a disabled guest they mistreated me, I will not be returning or booking again didn't even get the free room upgrade, booked 8 bed hostel room.

Very nice and fun for a small family…. Area is very good. Small issue with the air conditionner but staff fixed everything 👍

Very nice hostel

This is a wonderful hostel; it's priced a bit higher than other ones in the area but the pool and appealing common spaces made it worth it in my opinion. The building itself is beautiful. Breakfast is high-quality and has a variety of options. The pool was a godsend on a hot summer day when I wanted to just chill and relax. Wifi didn't work very well in my room but worked well in the bar/lounge area. Also: luggage storage is not free (they have a paid locker system) if you arrive early or want to store your bags after checkout.

Fabulous place in a great area with wonderful helpful staff!

We are staying in a family quadruple room. The only thing I don’t like is the double bed in my room is not really comfortable. The bed is kind of slanted. Other than that, this hotel is perfect!

It was my first time staying in the hostel and it was the absolute best! The only thing is that the open concept layout in the rooms leave little privacy in terms of getting dressed.

A comfortable, clean, hip hostel

Clean and comfortable. The only downside is the 4 ppl private suite room is very small. There is no desk in the room if anyone needs one to do some work. The ac is awesome. Not the window type that makes loud noises that most hotels have. It runs quietly and keeps the room comfortable. Wish the room is a bit bigger. Bathroom area is very small and somewhat open… Breakfast is adequate. It’s the same thing every day so one might get bored of it. Very little protein - hard boiled eggs or mini sausages. Kitchen is in the basement and we never used it. Didn’t get the chance to use the pool either.

It was perfect for me. I used the female only facilities and it was clean, tidy.

The place was amazing. The room was tidy and neat. The location is very close to the Gothic Quarter. Staff were always helpful. Made friends with my roommates. Overall, the best hostel I've ever been at. 10/10

Pleasant hostel stay in Barcelona

Booked a 6 bed shared bedroom with its own private shower and toilet in this hostel close to the centre. The property was very clean and the breakfast plentiful with an assortment of cold meats, eggs ( boiled or scrambled ), different types of bread, hot and cold beverages. There is a lounge area with PCs and a separate kitchen for use by guests. The direct bus from the airport stops only a few meters from the hostel and the Universitat metro is also very close by. All in all a fantastic few days stay in Barcelona.

Really nice place to stay. The finger print security was a plus. It’s close to the metro station as well.

The best hostel experience ever! Other than sharing a room with few others (which is why it’s a hostel), everything else is HOTEL experience. The common areas, eg lounge, kitchen, laundry, etc are FAR from the typical hostel setting of noisy and cheap. The staff are ultra-friendly. Highly recommended.

Property was very beautiful for a hostel, pleasantly surprised. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Bed was extremely comfortable, one of the best nights of sleep I had! I was only here for a transitioning night, but would not hesitate to stay here again.

Really beautiful, clean hostel with a cool fingerprint entry system rather than keycards. One of the more pristine hostels I have stayed in. It loses a star because the common area felt like a public, fancy bar rather than a place for the hostel guests. That beanbag and card games vibe didn't exist - which is what I think hostels are all about.

I am very pleased with my stay at TOC BCN. It’s been my best hostel experience. Nice clean rooms with A/C and attentive staff.

Great modern hostel in prime location. Very nice rooms and showers. Private toilets. Social area where the bar is very relaxing with nice music playing all night. Pool is a great feature to cool off. Only recommend is. They should have daily social events and the elevators are a bit slow. Very small cons. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Excellent security systems, clean all amenities

I've stayed at this hostel before and I'm glad I came back. The rate has risen a lot, but it was better because we put a lot of effort into maintaining the safety of the hostel system used by many people.

We loved our stay here. It’s conveniently located for exploring the city center and close to metro. The rooms were very sound proof and beds comfortable. only bummer was that the pool was not in service.

Overall positive experience. Updated automated property and welcoming staff. Worthy breakfast buffet, make sure to buy thru Orbitz with your reservation. Will come back!

Best hostel for solo girls

I’ve stayed in most of the TOCs because of the girls-only rooms, this one could be my favorite so far haha, the location is great, it’s very safe and the staff was super helpful and friendly plus it’s close to the bus station that takes you to the airport.

The Best

Without question one of the best hostel/hotels in Europe. I only know of one other (in Budapest) that comes close. The best kept secret in town, honestly. Perfect location, cool vibe, chill peeps. Stay away, LOL. This is where I always stay in Barcelona.

Awesome hostel in the middle of the city

We booked a 6 beds private room for 5 of us.(My husband , myself and 3 kids) It was our last day of Barcelona and we had to go to airport by 5am next morning so we were only there to sleep for 7 hours. Our room had 3 bunk beds, (6 beds) and 6 lockers, 2 shower, 1 toilet. I wanted somewhere we can check out at 4.30am and this hostel was perfect as it is 24 hours reception. We thought we might need their help to call a maxi taxi for us but luckily we found one on the street right in front of the hostel. A receptionist was calling a taxi company for us but we found one before he connected to a line. Check in and check out was quick. We had one hour early check in and we walked to Casa Mira and that area. Had a fab Tapas for our dinner nearby. We also used the laundry there (4 euro for a big dryer - Maytag brand! Not sure how much for washing machine) as our previous Airbnb apartment washing machine was broken so I felt like I should have stayed here longer!

This was the first hostel I have ever stayed at and I have to say they have set the bar high for me. They cleaned the room everyday. The staff was awesome! It felt safe with the fingerprint access. Honestly the worst thing was someone ate the loaf of bread I bought lol. It is located close to the metro and between to big plazas which made it easier to find your way back if you got lost. All you had to do was me too one of the plazas and so eone could poi t you in the right direction. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Not a party hostel but had the opportunity to have fun nights too...

Fantastic hostel! Location perfect for exploring

Fantastic hostel! Better than most hotels I have stayed in! Location rise perfect for getting around Barcelona . Metro around the corner and lovely shops bars and restaurant all within 5 mins Hostel was welcoming and clean! Bar area was amazing and had some fun events on like silent disco and general club nights. The real bonus is the pool area! With the small pool and plenty of places to relax in the sun! The rooms were modern , beds comfy and showers and toilets was always clean For the price and location you couldn’t ask for more!

Everything about this place was great. The location was pretty convenient to move around the city, the room was small but comforting and the friendly ambiance made it a great place to drink something while enjoying the pool.

I liked that they had a big lounge area where you could play billards, relax on the big couches, read books/magazines, or watch tv. In addition, I really liked that they had a rooftop terrace with a pool. I did not like that you were not allowed to take a nap on the lounge area couches eventhough we arrived at the hotel at 5:45am and check in was at 3pm. Also, I did not like that our room for 4 people was very small, and that the bathroom was not private (i.e. no separation from the bedroom and doors were see-through). There was also no room for luggage in the room.

Shower and rooms are disgusting... They need to clean the rooms and shower much more. The same pair of boxers was at the same place for almost 6 days. I often look behind at the ceiling to see if a place is clean or behind furnitures and my room was the equivalent of not cleaning my living room or room for 4 months... For the price, the location is decent. I don't like the high prices of the drinks at the bar since it should be correlated to price of the place and different bars in the neighbourhood. The picture make you think there value in this place, but I see a very break even or below what expected from the stay.

Pretty much perfect stay! I only wish they had black out curtains for the beds. Other than that I loved everything about this place!

This place was fine for a night. Showers are annoying because there's no where to hang clothes/towel/etc except outside the shower. Bed was fine - the door itself was super loud every time it opened and closed.

The pool was great. Breakfast a really good basic breakfast. The bar is fantastic!

I like the place a lot and the location But I had problem in the third day of my staying with them where is they ask nicely by leaving me a note on the bed ans as soon as I saw it I went to the reception and the employee told me we are moving you to another room tomorrow in the morning We are going to show you the room if you like it you move to it if not you can stay where you at and there will no problem I said okay It late at night when i talk to him I woke up in the morning on the sound of the receptionist asking me to change room I didn’t like how he woke me so I didn’t go to them I went back to sleep Then another employee come and ask me to see them on the reception I asked her what if i want stay where I am and chose to not move to another room

Having a pool was great! Biometric security also convenient. Terrible wifi service - i expect a reliable connection when paying top dollar for a hostel. Would suggest investing in roller blinds for each bunch for better privacy.

The reason I picked this up was because of the pool Access and the terrace. Upon arriving was told this was closed. I asked when it would reopen and they said tomorrow. Checked tomorrow and still closed. No mention on website. The safety deposit box did not open in room until second day when I complained the third time and was told it’s locked so paid an extra day for no reason. Arrived and toilet completely a mess. Shower smelt really bad and room was very warm. Bed was damp. Was told no food or drink in rooms. WiFi cut out and was not great. Lock on cupboard was tampered with. Left towel to air dry after showering in the morning. Came back to find it gone. Spoke to reception but no apology. Got told cleaner would have taken it and thought it was there’s. Not sure why when I had not checked out. Never got towel back but was given one from the hotel that was cheap and hard to use.

The hostel is super clean and amazingly safe, the lobby is nicely decorated...I really had a good time in Barcelona because of the great staff who help me a lot specifically a nice guy called Ricardo who works at the reception, and the guy works at the morning shift serving the breakfast is extraordinarily friendly...I Will definitely come back in the future. Kudos to you, amigos

Nice modern hostel! With all amenities like smoking area, pool, bar, etc. The hostel is always pretty clean & the staff is really nice too. It’s in one of the main streets of the city; Gran Via.

Great stay.

Very nice stay and would recommend. clean rooms, comfy beds, great breakfast in the morning served continental buffett style, with unlimited juice and coffee only 6 euros. Nice bar area and outdoor terrace. Not the most social of hostels for the solo traveller was quite difficult to meet people but not impossible. An arranged bar crawl would be a plus or an additional walking tour later in the day as its currently at 10am. The hostel is in an exellent location. 1 minute from universitat metro station which can connect you all over the city. Has more of a hotel feel than a hostel. Kitchen area did not look popular with the guests but looked like it had good equipment. I would def stay again.

Location is the best! Clean and comfortable. One drawback is bathroom and shower is separate, kinda awkward but overall it’s decent.

Always a great stay. Stay often sfor nice it is a direct bus line to the airport ATM all hours.
