Magical!
Staff was coopeative, always willing to help you and give you tips. The last kilometer of the road to get to the hotel is in very bad conditions.
Think twice
This place is a nice stay if you want to visit for the day or at most one night. When we first arrived, we were greeted with a drink and a small tour of the place. I had reserved a private dinner for my boyfriend’s birthday, they never followed up on it. When I did ask, their excuse was that we were never in our room. Absolutely ridiculous. Our pool was very dirty upon arrival, leaves everywhere and a ton of mosquitoes and bees inside. We tried to ignore the little things, however, as our trip progressed our power kept going out, our water was out for an hour and no warm water till the next day. On an attempt to go out to the city when we returned and asked for a pick up from the road, we were immediately told that we were coming back to our room to late, keep in mind this was only 11pm. We were thrilled to explore this place but sadly we will not be returning.
Their hospitality is exceptional!
It was very intimate and quaint and you could do many things close to the resort!
Dirt road leading up to property is very uneven. I had a Jeep so no problem but I can understand how other vehicles may have a problem. Outside of this, very peaceful and surrounded by wilderness.
According to expedia the hotel is located 8 min walking distance from the beach, the nearest beach was ~15min driving, the hotel is very secluded and basically unreachable without a car
Amazing location and the best staff. Such an awesome experience. Would recommend to everyone.
Beautiful property
Great stay! Beautiful location and pools. We loved the temazcal ceremony, floating breakfast, and signature dinner. Only snag was that the WhatsApp concierge number was not very helpful the couple of times we reached out to it because apparently the person who monitors it does not live on property. Better to visit the front desk in person if there is a question
Best retreat and walkable to beaches and cenotes. Dinner with live music.
The hotel is clean and personnel is extremely nice and accommodating. Breakfast included is very good, and you can take yoga clases in the mornings! Yet, be aware that the standard rooms DO NOT have air conditioning and although for this time of the year is not a problem as temperature is good, it does affect tremendously the quietness of the room as you can hear all that happen outside including conversations, the music that is played until 10 pm and the noise of a generator that runs all night. So if you like quietness at night, make sure you rent a room with AC. Also the 3km road from the street to the resort is in awful conditions. We did not dare riding it at night for this reason. On a positive note, the hotel provides transportation to go to the nearby cenotes. Make sure you are careful when renting the room as we let ourselves be deceived by the pictures of the rooms which all had an AC
Great place to experience the wilderness and the forest as well as cenotes. Exceptional service in a remote area. Very nice staff. Be mindful that if you plan a trip at night the roads are too bad only good if you want an off-roading experience. We got delayed and the roads were scary.
Very quiet and beautiful jungle hotel. Staff is excellent and the food is wonderful.
It’s an experience to be had.
This property is SUPER BEAUTIFUL and truly feels like you're in a jungle. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The rooms are very clean and the food was absolutely delicious. However their breakfast didn't start until 9am, which is inconvenient if you have early activities planned. For the floating breakfast, they were able to accommodate us for 8:30 due to us having to catch a flight that afternoon, but seemed difficult to do. If you are a mosquito magnet pack repellent and cover ups, it's intense there. The water for bathing smelled really bad (like rotten egg) I am assuming it has to do with the property being in the middle of nowhere. The AC unit only runs between 7pm - 7 am, they do provide fans. The drive from the main road is not paved so very rocky. The GPS doesn't take you straight there, it's about 5 minute drive off the road from GPS drop off.
Very beautiful:..fast service and lovely staff
Yellow Nest is INCREDIBLE!! Yes, the road is bumpy, has areas with water (depending on weather), and it's COMPLTELY worth the experience! We drove the road with our mid-sized SUV. The Yellow Nest will also provide transportation for a cost if you're not comfortabled driving deep into the jungle. Once you arrive let the pampering begin- the area is visually lush & gorgeous- welcome drink in hand the amazing concierge Sam will show you the property- huge main pool, yoga area, massage area, hammocks, 2nd pool, on-site restaurant, and meandering paths to the "huts". The accommodations are spacious, bed comfortable, bathroom space is huge- everything is well appointed, comfortable luxury! Customer care is of the highest quality, we felt pampered. Food & drinks were fresh, local, delicious with beautiful presentation. We visited the local Taki Ba-Ha cenote early in the morning (drove 5 mins) and loved our experience- bring goggle or snorkle, wetsuite not needed. Nature is gorgeous, relaxation is key & Yellow Nest is the perfect place to be! Book IT!!
My stay at the Yellow Nest far exceeded my expectations. The communication prior to arrival, the ambience and beauty of the location, and the impeccable service from staff made my stay at the Yellow Nest the best overnight night experience I have ever had. I can’t speak highly enough to the care and attention received from all staff but especially Sam and Miguel. Loved it!
This place was the BEST place to stay at if you’re looking for seclusion and quiet. This hotel is away from all the tourist areas. In the middle of the jungle. Extremely quiet and luxurious at the same time! The villas were perfect size and had everything we needed. The private pool and area outside was perfect for myself and my daughter. The star of the visit was the staff, especially Luis Miguel. He was extremely helpful, attentive, knowledgeable and extremely patient. He was amazing and given it was just me and my daughter he helped to make us feel comfortable and safe. I’d definitely recommend this place! I already can’t wait to go back!
You need to contact the property 24 hours prior to confirm that you’re coming. Otherwise they will assume you will not show up. They will not reach out to you. I tried to call them to let them know we were coming in late and no one picked up. This is one of those Instagram vs reality situations. Room was beautiful but dirty. Of course this is in the middle of the jungle so expect bugs and spiders creeping everywhere. Sheets and pillows smelled so bad, like sweat. All pools were dirty. The pool bed in our villa was wet and smelly. In the morning when I talked to the staff, he smelled like alcohol and he couldn’t walk straight. This could have been a wonderful experience and I was really looking forward to it only to be disappointed. For the price you pay, it’s not worth it. Hopefully they train their staff better and maintain the property like they advertise.
I stayed at the Yellow Nest for 5 nights. Staff was amazing and very attentive. We were a group of four 4 girls and felt completely safe. They provided transportation when we wanted to escape downtown, and recommended amazing cenotes. I would recommend to stay a max of 3-4 nights because the property is deep in the jungle. And bring a lot of insect repellent. Other than that everything was good and Josi, Ossi, Miguel, and so many other people made this trip a time to remember.
The service was exceptional. Right from when we arrived until we departed, we were provided with so much attention at any minute of the day and night. My company and I are vegetarian , the chef Julio, made us really good vegetarian authentic mexican food. Besides that, Miguel provided us with such a nice tour of the Taak Bi ha cenote and the Manager Ernesto was really accomodating and provided us with every service possible. The villa was astonishingly beautiful. Our stay at the Yellow Nest was the highlight of our trip and I highly highly recommend visiting it.
They are bugs lol but it’s a beautiful place and we enjoyed our stay! They all were so nice and friendly.
Great people. Amazing food. 4 cenotes on the same road.
Absolutely beautiful property set in the jungle. Gorgeous pools and grounds! Easy to get to local cenotes and they were fantastic!! Nic Te Ha and Taak Bi Ha was a wonderful introduction to cenotes! We had Nic Te Ha to ourselves for an hour! It was lovely!! Very friendly staff, but there was a mix up in communication and we never had our floating breakfast. Next time!
I recently stayed at Yellow Nest Tulum, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The location is perfect, nestled in a tranquil part of Tulum, yet close enough to explore the vibrant town and beautiful beaches. The rooms are beautifully designed with a perfect blend of modern amenities and natural elements, creating a serene and comfortable atmosphere. The staff at Yellow Nest Tulum went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. They were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always available to assist with any needs or questions. The on-site amenities, including the stunning pool and delicious restaurant, added to the overall experience, making it a true paradise. I especially appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the property, from the lush landscaping to the thoughtful touches in the rooms. It's evident that the team takes great pride in maintaining a high standard of service and quality. I highly recommend Yellow Nest Tulum for anyone seeking a relaxing and luxurious getaway. It's a hidden gem in Tulum that exceeded all my expectations. Five stars all the way!
This place is great if you are wanting to relax and unplug from the world in a calming atmosphere. The staff is very accommodating to all needs and the food/drinks are amazing! Samuel was a delightful concierge and made sure we were well taken care of and that all was arranged for our airport transfer. Do take note this place is a good ways from downtown. To visit the hotel district/main beach road of Tulum would require a taxi when leaving the park which can be rather expensive. They do have free bike rentals to use to visit the surrounding Cenotes however the road is very rocky and it is better to walk it. Only AC at night in the villas. We enjoyed our stay
We absolutely love the Yellow Nest. The place is paradise in the middle of the jungle! Everything is amazing, from the pools, the food, the rooms and especially the staff! The staff are some of the most amazing we’ve ever encountered. They always go above and beyond to make sure we have an incredible stay. We especially love Javier he’s amazing! Also, the new consierge Samuel is amazing! Thank you both for an incredible stay!!
WONDERFUL - FAV STAY IN TULUM
I never leave reviews but felt compelled following my wonderful stay at Yellow Nest. The entire properly is very charming and peaceful. The staff is beyond amazing. I had a basic nest, which I already thought was lovely and ended up being upgraded to a villa with a plunge pool making my stay all the more special. I never expect much from hotel restaurant, especially the free breakfast, however the food on property was all around the best food I had during my trip to Tulum. Everything was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The staff went above and beyond my entire stay and were very sweet. I didn’t finish my guacamole at lunch and they saved it in the fridge and brought it back out for my dinner later. I did 2 Temazcal sessions, both were a unique and relaxing experience. Being so close to the cenotes was definitely the highlight of staying here. I booked a scuba diving trip through the hotel with Alberto, HIGHLY recommend. The experience was the best of my trip and Alberto was wonderful, knowledgeable, and I felt safe the entire time. I also biked less than 5 mins to another cenote which was fantastic. The WiFi here was the best during my trip. The road to the properly is VERY bumpy but even smaller cars would be fine. However, I wouldn’t recommend driving to the property for the first time at night. I would also bring more cash than you think you need. Between cenotes only take cash and tipping the staff I ran out quickly. 10/10 would recommend.
great staff, 10/10 service, but this place is on the off roads - far from anything at all. but super relaxing and cute
Fantastic quite and nature getaway. Excellent staff and service. Great food at the onsite restaurant and complimentary services like Yoga and Temazcal. Access to wonderful cenotes and close to Tulum.
The staff was wonderful! We had a great stay. It truly is a hidden gem.
My wife and I stayed for 2 nights and we LOVED it. Beautifully designed and maintained, it’s hidden away in the jungle and promotes relaxation and calm. The staff were excellent, kind and caring, the food first class and the overall ambience like nothing we’ve experienced before. Both pools were breathtaking and the local cenotes are incredible. We’ve already urged our friends to visit and would stay here again in a heartbeat. 5* from us!!
It was the best stay me and my wife ever had. The staff was next level. Amazing and unique experience!! Luis was a leader and did an excellent job leading the temezcal. Brandon, Javier, Jorge, Yaz were so attentive and so were the other staff. Food and drinks by the chef was next level. Overall the best experience possible. Thank you team!
This place is wonderful and the staff is excellent and welcoming. Thank you to Arturo, Javier, Luis, Gaby and everyone else involved in making this place an amazing birthday and personal experience. Look forward to coming back here and visiting again. Our absolute favorite place to visit in TULUM!
Lots of insects, not clean room and sheets. Very far hotel and to be honest it’s not a hotel is more like a hustle. Very bad service even the room didn’t have lock. Not safe area.
The Yellow Nest is a unique hotel with a lot of character. The staff was excellent from the moment we arrived. We thought the grounds were creatively decorated and the architecture of the huts were also nice to see. While the huts without A/C don't offer the modern convenience, they nevertheless have the rest of the conveniences and the ability to have a unique stay. We enjoyed the cenote tours with Luis Miguel who was an excellent and kind tour guide! The cenotes in the area are incredible and some of the best experiences we had during our entire trip. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to venture outside the normal path and have a great story to share with the staff and to tell to friends and family.
Good experience
Awesome experience! , the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend!
We loved our stay at the yellow nest. Everything from the beauty of the jungle to the service from the staff was 10 out of 10!! We will be back!!
The Yellow Stone is an amazing and beautiful place where you can disconnect yourself from everything. It was my birthday weekend and they surprised me with a towel cake in the bed. I loved it! Erick was amazing and took good care of us. All of the staff was just amazing! Thank you!
The place was really nice good service. The Gentlemen at the front desk was nice in the beginning. His name is Erik but made a very rude comment very unprofessional also he hover over us not is an appropriate way i did not like his attitude. The other Gentlemen was awesome his name was Victor i believe great attitude super friendly. Erik kind of on the creepy stage.
We had a wonderful moment in this hotel. From the location to the kindness of the staff. Our nest was very cosy and beautiful and the cooking was really good. Also thanks to Michelle, we had a great massage and the cenotes nearby are just amazing.
This place is absolutely amazing
From the moment I arrived the staff was amazing and helped me deal with a miss understanding with my cab. Following this they were constantly trying to assist me and make my stay memorable. I came to the hotel after staying at Hiltons all inclusive for the weekend and wish I had just been here instead. I will certainly be coming back and can't thank the staff enough for their service, suggestions, and overall demeanor that made this such an amazing and memorable trip for me!
Great location very good service stayed for a week so would of enjoyed more dining options
Hermoso!!
Love the nest built in nature!Staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. One highlight is that the dinner is solo delicious and beautiful in presentation. Best tacos I've ever had.
