Great
Great job by the staff. It was a short stay but had great amenities and a beautiful view.
Clean and quiet.
It was a very nice stay. It didn't have ac but the breeze was great off of the stream out back.
Loved the deck over the Wind River!!
This is a cute little motel, with cabin like rooms. Loved the deck out back over the river. Very small parking lot. The did offer water, and several complimentary bathroom items. The biggest thing is they don’t have A/C. The did have a fan on with windows open when we arrived. And it did cool off to 65 degrees over night, but the room was pretty warm. Very small room and super small bathroom. Overall it’s a nice homey place and I’d stay again when it’s cooler. Also the WiFi worked great, but technology has not made its way this town. 3G phone service😃
The best end to a story lol
This place is a treasure! Wonderful in every way
The owner/manager was friendly, the rooms so clean, and the area is beautiful of course!
Very nice rooms. The owners, Scott and Tammy, are awesone people. They were eager to accommodate a large family at the last moment (& late at night).
Very cozy and clean. Loved the short walk to shared patio and view of Snake River. Appreciated the fan in cabin since there was a heat wave and no AC. The town was quaint and quiet and enjoyed our evening and morning stroll.
Trail’s End
Very nice and comfortable stay. Super friendly staff, good location in beautiful surroundings. Just what we needed after a long drive.
Great!
Clean and comfy
Riverside one queen bed cabin tiny but nice. Great amenities in room. Bathroom tiny. Bed very comfy, bedding and linens fabulously soft and comfy. Owners friendly. My only criticism is the sign on the gun shop door saying if you voted for Biden, your business wasn't wanted. I guess they took my$165 though. I think that's in poor taste for a business owner. Had I seen that first I probably would have looked elsewhere for a room! The decks beside the river are lovely. You can access the decks from any unit so don't worry about booking one that states it is next to the river.
Definitely an older property, but it has very nice upgrades. It sits on the Wind River, and it has 2 decks overlooking the river. Other than the extra fee that Expedia tacks on ($45), the price is reasonable. Would stay there again.
Rooms and facility was great. Loved the River deck, to relax, take in the nature and the sounds of the rolling river.
Room unavailable
We did not have a room available when we tried to checkin. Never stayed at this facility.
It was the cleanest and most comfortable hotel ive stayed in
Enjoyed the whole experience. Great people!
Conscientious owners and nice attention to detail with small touches that make a difference
Worth the stay
Friendly mom and pop style motel. Clean and cute individual units. Provide well thought out extras in the room like toothpaste and toothbrush. Western feel and a cute town
Great atmosphere all the way
Great location
Road Trip
Nice, simple hotel with good location on the river. Staff very friendly.
A lovely place to stay! Our kids loved it and the staff was friendly and kind. We will be back!
This is a wonderful family owned property. The owner was kind and thoughtful. The rooms were like you own little mountain cabin, warm and comfortable. The owner reccommended many places to eat, all a pleasant walk. and the property borders on a river where we sat and had a drink.
Our one complaint about the property is that the bed was really hard. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. Dubois is a lovely little town.
Very nice location . Owners were awesome.
The room was clean and they provided toiletries and the fridge and microwave were convenient too
This was an okay place to stop along the way, but it was dated, very small, and most of all did not have air conditioning. I spent a very uncomfortable night. Sadly, areas that used to be fine without air conditioning in the summer are now often too warm at night to be comfortable.
I absolutely love this place & we will definitely be back!
Such a cute motel in Dubois. Beds were comfy. Room was clean. Staff was very helpful. We would have loved to soak in a hot tub but they don't have one.
The owner was incredibly rude...
We booked in effortlessly. The place was clean.Bathroom extremely small. I went to the reception to ask for some ice' the owner was incredibly rude to me. He asked me why I didn't go to the convenient store to get ice? He aggressively took out a bag of ice. I had my two daughters with me, who were looking at his taxidermy and slightly patting it at the bottom. He shouted at them to stop it. Soooooo rude! Very pricy for what you get. The deck outside is nice...but the sun is annoying in the afternoon.
No air conditioning
Linens and towels very high quality. Staff super friendly. Can’t beat the decks overlooking the Wind River
Motel had a maintenance issue, but the staff notified us and made accomidations if needed. Great stay.
Friendly Great town. Tranquil site
Our stay was great! It was nice and cozy, clean, and the people were very nice. The only issue we had was that the toilet area is very very small.
1. The gentleman at the front desk needs to get a job where he doesn't have to deal with people. 2. The property needs to advertise the fact that there is no air conditioning in the rooms.
Nice motel in Dubois - clean, comfortable and a little dated but that’s okay. It was just more expensive than expected.
A fancy cabin, beautiful and super nice inside and out. We loved everything about it. Its on the outskirts of town next to the rodeo but once inside it muffled the noise.
Gross.
If you like bugs, you'll love this place. There is no a/c, and it was super hot, so we had to have the windows open during the day, and there were bugs EVERYWHERE in our rooms. I had to close the windows at night because of this and the noise, so I was hot all night, and had bugs crawling on me. So basically I paid a lot of money to feel like i was camping. I can imagine it might be cute in the winter without the bugs and with some heat, but I'll never be back. Disgusting.
Clean rooms, with cozy atmoshphere. Was very happily surprised to find how nice the river deck area was. Highly recommend.
Quaint old motel. Everyone very friendly in a beautiful setting right on the River. Beautiful deck with tables and chairs for relaxing on the river. A real gem!
The river view and deck area was very nice, quite and relaxing!
Pay a little more and go somewhere else
Hotel is very old and there is no air conditioning or ice machine. The floor leaned so it felt like I was climbing up hill all night.
No a/c, just open windows which allowed for noise to be heard when trying to sleep (such as guest leaving early in the am) only a fan in the room, couldn't find a hair dryer, weight/exercise room was closed. Nice patio out back along the river, beautiful flowers, room was kinda run down. but beds were comfortable.
Nice place.
Comfortable beds and accommodations. We would stay again. We only used it to stay one night and it definitely met our needs.
Delightful
Rustic and cozy, in an unadorned Western town. The cafe tables by the river were divine.
This motel is in a beautiful setting on the Wind River. It is an older vintage, small, clean rooms and very friendly and helpful staff/owners. We were pleased with our stay with one exception. The owner has a gun shop on the property displaying a sign stating that anyone who voted for Biden was NOT welcome there, that Biden supporters are “too stupid” to own guns. I don’t really care who he supported-but thought the angry sign was rude, unkind and judgmental.
Rude
When asking what parking options were available for over sized vehicles, we were cursed at and told that’s not their problem.
Overall nice stay
Comfortable cabin like room. A bit small but do-able. Was disappointed with a political sign we found on a door near Weight Room. It referenced ammunition, and who shouldn’t be allowed on the property if they voted or even supported a certain candidate.
The cutest motel! We booked last minute after Backcountry camping & it was just what we needed. Tammy is so sweet & helpful as well. Great location, quiet & a cozy little stay. Dubois is also the cutest - even if you're stopping to get to Tetons & Yellowstone, I highly recommend walking around & checking out the shops, restaurants & beautiful views!
Amazing! Great Location, adorable clean rooms, comfy bed and great staff! And of course the river is so peaceful. We will defiantly visit again next time we’re in the area!!
Our June Trip
Super awesome room. A family owned and operated property. And these folks are amazing!
Nice, clean, take you back in time a bit hotel. Property is well maintained and the owners are great.
They would not even let us check into the property. Sold room out from under us even though we pre-paid for a room. The staff was extremely obnoxious and rude and belittling.
Avoid if possible
The deck over the Wind River in the back of the facility is wonderful, but that is the only redeeming feature of this property. When I opened the door to the "non-smoking" room the room practically coughed and the smell of very stale smoke was evident. At the front desk, the folks who own the place were friendly and helpful, but made their feelings about "COVID believers" apparent, which made we wonder how well the room was cleaned. I would have moved, but the town was full and rooms were over the top expensive. I don't think I would have been so put off if the room rate hadn't been so high.
Great little place!
Owner was friendly & rooms were nice, clean & cozy. Didn't get to enjoy the back decks on the river as planned, but location of hotel was perfect.
The room was clean and up to date despite the age of the property. They have clearly updated recently. The pictures for the river edge rooms are a bit misleading. You do not have a private attached deck as the images might appear to show. Overall The Trails End is an average room over priced. We would stay there again but not at the price level we paid for the waters edge room.
The room smell horrible no AC. Or heater not a clean hotel definitely won’t come back
Retro but comfortable
We stayed here for two nights and were impressed with the care of the property. The deck overlooking the river was so nice and we were able to enjoy our takeout meals there. The rooms were very clean and we were quite comfortable.
Trails End on the Wind River
Tammy and Scott were amazing hosts! They have a great place and Scott educated us on bear spray and firearms. The patio in the back is a great place to relax and watch the Wind River! The next time we are in Dubois we will stay here again. Excellent!
Wonderful
A great traditional western style lodge. Fantastic deck overlooking the Wind River and awesome setting to unwind, smoke a cigar and enjoy a cocktail.
Nice, relatively inexpensive motel, especially considering the location. The lady at the front desk was friendly and informative. Just a short walk to to good food. I'd definitely stay here again.
Nice cozy classic drive up Motel room
The room was absolutely spotless. A bit on the small side. Great location on the river. Walking distance to the restaurant and bar area. This is not some fancy hotel, but if you are in the mood for an excellent retro motel room, its very good. Price in late July was a bit spendy, but I assume that was just busy season.
The Trail's End has a rustic feel and is right on the water. Nice way to wind down and relax. Almost everything in town is within walking distance.
Amazing Deck
Love the place by the river
Passing through...
Very clean motel, nothing special but did the job for one night.
Riverfront
Wonderful property, common area deck right on the river, rooms were very clean and comfortable, owners extremely friendly and accommodating
Quaint
Very clean room and a great deck on the river. Only stayed on night but was impressed with the comfort and cleanliness.
We loved the hospitality and the mounts were awesome
peaceful and rustic
Extremely clean inside and out. The owner works very hard at that and is really nice. This is a great location if you are visiting the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone park. Your an hour to two hours away. The drive is fantastic over the pass. We sat on the deck overlooking the Wind river in the evenings and enjoyed the quiet and the view. Would highly recommend
Great stay! Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and very nicely decorated and the bed was very comfy.
Plenty of room for all six of us, clean and friendly/helpful staff. Things are just a little older fashioned, but had microwave and fridge and the beds were clean and comfy!
LOVELY LOCATION ON THE RAGING WIND RIVER OWNERS WERE VERY HELPFUL. GOOD PLACE TO GET YOUR BEAR SPRAY!
Very Pleased
Delightful small motel which was quite comfortable and staff was very helpful and friendly.
have stayed here before and like the owners. Property sits on the river close to town and is a convenient place to stay
Cute stay.
Lovely motel on the river. The view of the river from the patio was relaxing and made for a perfect morning. The owner at check-in was not exactly chatty but the coffee at the nearby coffee shop was divine.
Nice place, nasty management. It's a very nice motel but I was overcharged $25 for booking online. When I arrived and discovered that I'd been charged more than if I hadn't made a reservation, Expedia asked me how check in went, so I pushed the sad face button. I didn't think anything more of it, but the next morning when I was packing up to leave, the owner confronted me about my negative review and asked that I change it. Not to mention that she was banging on my door at 8am just because she didn't see an SUV parked in front of it. Very comfortable sheets though.
No hairdryer? River view hidden by a building, hard bed, cold room
Friendly, treated me like family. Beautiful location. Clean, rustic beautiful environs. Highly recommend this place.
Was not a pleasant experience terrible room charged me $200 for a joke of a room
Every was very clean and well kept. Liked the deck overlooking the Wind River
Old facilities motel like, next to river in the back with a patio. Slow slow Wi-Fi almost none
Clean
Was very clean and nice!
Cute laid back town. Great place to unwind and relax. Hotel was rustic with the fun old fashioned motor lodge vibe. Check in was easy. Overall great experience.
The river out back was very nice and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable. Reservation was messed up a little but the owners fixed it there. Will definitely stay again if I’m the area.
Dubois is the only place with hotels between Teton and landers, which explains why their price is astronomical. This is an old fashioned drive up to the door single story motel where you can hear all your neighbors on their Harley’s pulling in and out, and no a/c so the windows must be open all night in warm weather.
Beautiful surroundings.
Small room. Rustic. Adorable.
Right next to the highway so easy to find. Friendly owner service and took in suggestions and considerations. The front of the entrance to the rooms from the parking floods so shoes get wet when it rains. I told the owner and he said they have plans to repave the parking lot to fix the drainage. Plenty of electrical outlets galore. Room is a little tight. It was not clear on the website ad about the deck at the back of the rooms. I was expecting one behind our room but I found out only specific rooms have that luxury view of the river.
The hosts were just so helpful and friendly. They gave us excellent choices for meals and even had ice waiting for us in the room on our second day. We would definitly come back again.
Highest price we stayed for in 10 days Others we much nicer and offered hot breakfast
Super super clean! Beautiful views! Great, friendly staff
Gorgeous small cabin right on the Wind River was quiet and well-appointed. Would definitely stay here again.
Trails End was a delightful experience. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The deck overlooking the river was a wonderful way to relax after a day of traveling.
Decks on the river were beautiful and so relaxing to hang out on. Proprietor super friendly and knowledgable about things to do in the area.
Comfortable place to rest the roadtripping head
This hotel was a lifesaver for us.... we had a long road ahead of us traving from Devils Tower to the Grand Tetons... we had some trouble with an existing reservation, but were lucky to find this booking at The Trails End. We booked on the late in the afternoon on the road and had hours left in our trip. The owners were kind enough to keep the office open late and booked us in close to Midnight. They were very kind and accommodating for us, so thanks for that! The room was very clean, showers hot, and bed super softand comfy... room kinda reminded me of my grandparents home so very comfortable and warm. Before we left checked out the deck along the river out back, it was very beautiful would have been nice to relax there a bit but had to hit the road.
Wonderful hosts. Fabulous outside deck right on the Wind River. A little piece of heaven. Lots of personal touches ( gorgeous flower accents ) and personal attention.
Amazing riverside motel, quaint, charming and Dubois is a hidden gem of a town in Wyoming. I’ll be back!
Very small room but it was clean. The cost was too high for this Motel.
