Excellent overall service..

The air conditioner in my room did not work. I called them as soon as I checked in and they brought someone to fix it. That fixed only worked that night and it went back to not being functional the next day. I called two more times to have someone fix it. I got fed up and requested a room change which they said the hotel was full and they could not accommodate until the next day. The power went out in the room twice overnight. They again sent a worker to come fix the power but it was very disruptive to my sleep this was around 3 AM and 4 AM. On my last night they switched me to a new room or the AC was working and no power issues. I would not recommend staying here due to these problems. You have to call multiple times to get anything addressed, the customer service is not good.

I stay at the Lilygate was amazing. The staff was friendly, kind and very helpful. The was able to assist me with ride to get to another point. Any questions I asked they extended their hospitality to help. Manager is a great person. I came in a day later and had contacted the hotel and she responded by letting me my room will still be reserve for me. I appreciated the staff hospitality and support to make a stay comfortable as if I was home.

Great property. Clean

The hotel is overall OK. One major problem is the party at the balcony. It was very loud till late night everyday. Could not sleep quietly

Very nice nigerian style

It was a good experience. The staff is nice and most of them well prepared. They represent the nigerian culture which is amaizing. Very nice facilities, and they're now remodelating to keep updated.

The overall is good. Main problem was the room. The air conditioner was not working well and was also very noisy. They tried to fix it but still.

Hotel above the average in the area. One of the few accepting cards. They have multiple social areas. Only maintenance should improve (showers, a.c.)

My and my wife's stay at the Lilygate was first-class from start to finish! The service and friendliness of the staff was excellent! The decor and presentation of the hotel was beautiful, with lots of African-inspired art work throughout! The food was amazing, well-presented and freely available at any time, including room service. We had breakfast include which was a seamless process to sign for everytime we ate. The rooms were beautifully presented and outfitted with all the basic amenities needed such as toiletries, a safe, fridge and also had a small balcony. There were some minor issues such as the air conditioning unit having some condensation which dripped but when told about this, the front desk staff explained what we needed to do (vent the room from time to time due to the humidity) and the problem was resolved. The hotel was very safe, with security staff at the main gates. The local area itself was very safe and well-outfitted as well with numerous grocery stores, restaurants and bars, hair salons and any other things you may need. The hotel also has a well-maintained pool and gym with an excellent personal trainer. There is also an outdoor bar and grill with great food and nightly entertainment which is first-class! I highly recommend staying at the Lilygate and definitely will be back!

Construction noise every day and loud music every night. Shower would repeatedly flood bathroom.

I stayed at this The Lilygate for a week and I loved my experience! The staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. Some aspects of my standard room could be updated but overall this is a wonderful hotel.

The hotel staff was amazing. The hotel lobby and food options are good. The cleaning is not the best. Upkeep of property not good. I changed rooms 2 times. Shower is poorly designed.

Small basic room but I like it here due to convenience getting around Nice breakfast selections One issue waitresses by the pool is always incompetent they don’t know anything about alcohol.

The place was so clean, smells good and the staff has such great service I would recommend this place to anyone who is traveling from a different country!!!!! Really had great customer service!!!

Comfortable

The hotel is certainly one of the better hotels in Lagos. The rooms were well appointed and the conference facilities were good. Food was a bit repetitive and staff were sometimes a bit aggressive in trying to push you to buy drinks or food in the bar, lounge and pool areas, when all you want to do is just have a peaceful relaxing time. The impression created was that staff must use every opportunity to maximise revenues. I was also not impressed with the laundry service. Given the cost for washing and pressing, I was surprised to discover that they use cheap key soap for the washing, which came back smelling not too good.

Staff was great, very helpful and friendly. It's a secured property with multiple onsite security guards onsite. Breakfast and dinner buffet was a mixture of local Nigerian dishes and international foods -- good selection. At the moment, I can't think of a negative remark. It's my second stay at the property.

Meals were sub standard. Staff at entrance were rude and unhelpful. Temperature checks were being done on the hand. Morning room service was very slow. Otherwise, very well presented hotel.

Xmas holiday

A good hotel in a high end part of Lagos. It took about 30 minutes to check in, the official that handles 3rd party bookings was not available as at time of my check-in. Otherwise, no other major issues.

Location is very good . Close to where I wanted to be

Hotel itself was decent...centrally located in Lekki. Cleanliness was average. My bad experience was primarily with the staff. I got woken up in the middle of the night by reception due to calls being routed to my room by mistake which was annoying. This happened twice. Also, I believe I was profiled when going out for a walk early in the morning...I was stopped and questioned about my being there. The male staff in particular ignored me whilst always acknowledging my husband as if I was invisible. It all just seemed very backwards.

There are no allocated parking spots for lodgers. Some times you may drive in to find out there is no space.

Modern hotel. Very tense environment due to micro managing by leadership.

I stayed here February 2020. Check in was good and the staff were nice and polite. Breakfast was also quite good. The general cleanliness was ok, however, the shower curtains are looking really tired, stained and worn.

The Elevator space is too small and lack of luggage space.

Beautiful Hotel

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, though the room was very small and the toilet could’ve been in better condition. It’s very embarrassing when you need to call maintenance to unclog your toilet more than once. YUCK!

Awesome Stay!

Top notch hotel going by Lagos standards. The live performances on Saturdays is good for anyone that wants to enjoy some music in the premises. However, this might bother others who are looking to stay in a quiet hotel on Saturdays.

Very friendly and service-minded staff. Had slight issues with the drain in the bathroom. Other than that it was a great stay.

Staff were very helpful, preoperty was clean and amenities were available and usable.
