The property and staff were great. The bums in the area, are of concern.

Fire

The property was amazing. However an 11pm fire sent everyone out in the snow. No compensation was offered for the inconvenience. 11pm in Anchorage weather is not very pleasent, especially when you were in bed

The lobby was nice and well decorated. The hallways were filthy and the carpet needs to be replaced as it is worn out! The room was outdated with lots of dust behind and under the bed! Shower fixture was worn out also.

It's great having a property right next to hood lake, the views are amazing. The lounge and restaurant are somewhere I have always stopped at. I only chose this hotel on this trip because my previous arrangements fell through. I did not like the fact that the front desk agent quoted me a much higher price than had been previously advertised. When I told them I could book it through Expedia much cheaper she acted very disgruntled. By going through Expedia I was able to book a room that was actually larger than my previous request for $65 less than her quoted rate.

Clean, Friendly but lacks hot water

Needs hot water for showers and update the hallways otherwise fantastic.

The LakeFront’s location is conveniently in proximity to Ted Stevens Int’l airport as well as the freeway either heading North or South. Also, the restaurant on site offers, apart from friendly waitresses and good food/drink, amazing views overlooking LakeHood. The rooms are clean and spacious. It’s always a great stay.

Had a cockroach in the room it was taken care of promptly moved to another room picked up a watchcloth and a lady's eyelashes came out of the wash cloth I'm not sure how they would have gone there other than that the room was clean just embarrassing for a place that I've always thought was a very clean respectable place

A mixed experience

Breakfast vouchers excellent. Arranging our room near the elevator since my husband could not walk far was excellent. The reason for the poor overall was a problem getting the room cleaned. I called st 8:45 am snd got the front desk. I asked that our room be serviced. I called again at 2:30 and asked if housekeeping was still on the premises. I asked again to have the room serviced and told them it was the second request. At 5 pm I went to the front desk and explained. She wrote the room number down and said it would be handled. We returned to the room around 7:45. Still no service. At that pint we had been in the room for 4 days and needed some trash emptied and other items. We never had out the do not disturb or privacy sign. Beyond that location and staff are goood .

I did not like you shorting me one day. I booked for two days but you only booked me for one. That caused a lot of problems. I will not be using Expedia ever again.

Everything was great.

Overall cleanliness was decent. Loud noises coming from outside the building of pedestrians yelling. Mini fridge in room didn’t work and shower never got hot.

It is a clean and safe hotel and the front desk staff is very friendly, I like the hotel and will try to book it again when I come to Anchorage next time.

We love the Lakefront and have stayed there a numbed of times. Bed was super comfortable. Only issues were, tv didn’t work and bath towels were very scratchy. This would not deter us from staying there, but room for improvement.

Every staff member we interacted with were very friendly & helpful. At one point in the evening after being out of the room for dinner we noticed the heat was not working correctly. Contacted the front desk & they had a maintenance man to our room within minutes. He fixed the issue in less than 5 minutes!! Staff all around were very wonderful!

I think a coffee shop would be nice.

Cleanliness of the room

The hotel staff were excellent. Very professional, personable, friendly and accommodating. My accomodations were comfortable. I ate some of the best salmon at the moose lounge and enjoyed a bit of unwinding after a long day of flying from Georgia.

Convenient location. Friendly staff. Still clean the room and provide fresh towels. Good coffee in the room. Reasonably priced. Nice views of the lake. Excellent breakfasts.

Full service restaurant with excellent food on site. Beautiful area for a walk to watch planes, fully visible from restaurant as well. Great shuttle to and from the airport that runs hourly. Very kind staff.

Overall great experience, close to everywhere I had to go to and especially the airport. The parking lot was unsafe due to all the ice and walking was difficult, I would have expected better care during the ice build up. I would stay here again, this was my 2nd time in 6 months.

The hotel was very clean and well kept. In hotel dining is convenient. Staff was super helpful and options for late check out were available. Shuttle to and from airport was quick and on time with less than a 3 minute wait.

Quick night stay after getting back from a hunting trip. They stored some luggage for me in the safe room. They have a freezer to put fish and game in during the stay. The Sweet & Sour Halibut meal was excellent in the restaurant!

Staff was great and rooms are very nice

Being Alaskan I enjoy the authentic Alaska decor of the inside of the hotel lobby. The staff is always provides to your needs as a guest. i find the hotel to be quiet and I enjoy the restaurants. I do not find that some things like the carpets could be updated as a necessity as the rooms are always spotless. The location is so handy and you are right in town and I feel safe as they have security in the hotel as well as the parking area. A plus, my favorite taco place where all the food is homemade is across the street. Love their Mexican Style Chicken soup.

Our stay was generally pleasant. However, we encountered an issue at the airport pickup, as the front desk provided incorrect information about the pickup time. The staff are friendly. One small thing is that we stayed for 2 nights, but no cleaning service was provided, and we were not asked about any preference about the cleaning frequency. That was not a huge problem, but we had to ask for additional shampoo and soap.

Easy to re-check-in when I extended a day.

Hasn’t snowed much in area but sidewalks around parking lot not cleaned. Sidewalks should be clean for safety and to facilitate movement during check in/out and anytime transiting from car to hotel.

Very disappointing

This hotel has been nice in the past. However, it is getting older and needs some updating and cleaning. The shower had good pressure, but there were hairs in it and the tub floor was dirty. The toilet seat was broken, and not really safe, it kept sliding to one side. The beds and pillows were comfortable, but one pillow case had dry, but fairly fresh blood on it. The floor needed to be vacuumed. We drive to Anchorage for early appointments or flight and usually stay here. No more.

The carpet here was a little old looking and dingy, but the place was fine, and so was our room.

Nice hotel. However, outlets in room are limited. Hotel was accommodating by proving an extension cord to be able to plug in CPAP. On opposite wall could not have fridge, coffee pot, and lamp all plugged in at one time due to no outlets. Window(s) not sound insulated, could hear traffic and vehicle noises. Other than that, we had a restful stay. Bed was very comfortable.

Is a really nice service, and close to the AirPort

Service was really slow and we were woken up everday bt housekeeping when asked not to, called the front desk multiple times for neighbors to be quiet and for housekeeping not to be so loud when i paid for 4 nights of a hotel to be bothered everyday

I really liked the hotel. Proximity to the airport and mid town Anchorage, authentic Alaska feel, friendly staff and nice restaurant. I’d stay here again.

Resort fee

Room was spacious but they charge a $20 resort fee. I was only there for a brief overnight and it isn’t a resort.

The heating unit in our room was really loud.

I had to ck in late and the staff was friendly and helpful in that process.

With an 06:00 flight departure we were obligated to an 04:00 shuttle from the hotel. 04:30 would have been considerably better.

Great for its price.

Check in was fast and easy. Beds and bedding was clean and fresh. The hotel as a whole could use a deep clean (vents, walls, floorboards) and updating.

The hotel is excellent, however, I was charged $50 for a coincidental fee to be returned after checkout the next morning. I reviewed my card statement and $22.40 of the original $50.00 was subtracted, I called the hotel and it was stated that it was a fee charged by the hotel as a resort fee. Please be aware that a certain amount of the “coincidental fee” will be subtracted”. Very disappointing and I will never stay here again.

Loved the hospitality of the staff. Everyone was very kind and accommodating. The restaurant also had very good options as well.

Definitely needs updating, soft spots in floors on 2nd floor hallways, stricter plate was missing screw on room door and catching so it wouldn’t shut easily, carpets are destroyed in hallways. Main areas and restaurant were very nice and tidy
