It's gr8, but u should prob stop letting obv covids stay in 8 bed dorms...just 4 awhile

Oh lovely fellow I know them been staying there on an off for years it's average style hostel but friendly staff are what make it .if your on budget like me you will be fine there .

I have stayed in Hive for quite long time. The hostel is located in Northbridge, close to Perth train station (2mins away by walk) close to all the supermarket, shops, restaurants, bars and clubs in CBD and There is oven in kitchen which is very rare for hostel. you can really cook anything you want! The building is a little old but they are renovating now and I never felt the place as dirty. All the people who work there and people who stay there are very nice. You will feel this place as your home right away. It is the cheapest hostel in Perth city and you get more than what you pay. I highly recommend :)

No staff there to check in, would be back in 10 minutes more like 20 minutes. Private Room overall tidy, air con that doesn’t work if needed. Very noisy due to everyone using the bathroom next door. shared facilities dirty.

In this hostel you can feel like in a big family! Good atmosphere and good people... Perfect if you want have party but also if you want quiet because the ambient is big and they organize events outside. Thanks hive hostel for the good time in Perth.

There're a lot if rules for customers, but staff doesn't need to follow the rules.

There's a cleaner and manager always scream and shout at customers. Their's attitude are very bad.

cockroach hostel

Thanks for the hive let me know how does the cockroach looks like in Australia. This is my first time see the cockroach in the city. Before I thought cockroach only live in the place dirty and messy, but the hive hostel?

Watch your food, otherwise will be throw away

No matter you forgot to lable or your lable is gone, staff will take your food out of the fridge and put on the table. Your milk, cream, yogurt, leftovers, vegetables...all of your food will spoil. And then staff will throw it away. The photo is how they treat your food.

Thief's heaven

If you wanna be a thief, the hive is your best choice. But you need to make a friend with the manager and you must be white. If you steal something they will kick you out but they can tolerate their friend is a thief. And they will ask you to give their friend a chance.

Bed bugs in the hive!?

While I move to 8 bed shared room I feel insect bite me. I told manager and cleaner they told me they didn't find any insect and it's my own problem maybe. The photo is what I got from the hive hostel.

Run down and dirty

The power outlets and plugs look like they're one more laptop plug away from an electrical fire in the common areas. The bathrooms are poorly stocked. No soap or hand towels to wash your hands. Everything is dirty. I should have slept in my car.

Horrible, disgusting hostel!!

The Hives was the most disgusting experience I've ever had. When I complained that there were hair on my sheets I received some 'new' sheets with hair on it, too. One bathroom has a broken window, the toilets and showers are dirty as hell and there's nobody who really cleans ist. They have voluntaries who live there for free and who pretend to clean... The kitchen is too small for that amount of people and just disgusting, dirt everywhere...

Budget accommodation if you don't want sleep

Fool me for not doing more research tho for what I paid, I was dry, safe and had a bed to sleep on. I was given fair warning that the other peeps would be having a party in the court yard out the back. That was fine. Little did I know and yes fool me, the Court Hotel (best gay bar in Perth - I'm a huge fan now) backs into the hostel. I would have had the same sleep as if I was sleeping outside the court itself. Music was so loud until close 3am.

Good location. Some toilets are broken. Room smells ok. Noisy at weekend. The hostle has a lot of space.

Ok to stay, staff not nice

The staffs are not very nice. The girl is looking down upon people from Asia. The boss is very nice. The room is clean. It's interested to try 24 people room. The hostle has a lot of social. At weekend they have party, however it's very noisy until 12am or 1am. The kitchen is not very clean, not very dirty, just so so. Overall, it's ok to stay, however the price is a little bit high.

Don't expect too much and you will be fine

Only a quick overnight stay. Was a cheap bed and all I really needed. Not the nicest place, but a well located hostel. Loud guests, but it was a Friday night so to be expected. Suited my needs just fine!

Never ever, left After 3h

Unbelievable dirty, loud, old hostel. Only good thing is near centre. There is a club next door, you hear everything until 1/2 almost every day. The rooms are dirty and smelly, we had a hole in our door. We paid for 4 nights but left at 11pm because of the loudness, we went to a hotel. Spoke to the staff because of the noisy room, they didn't helped us for another opportunity. Of course no kind of refund! Really just go there if you don't have another chance. One of the worst hostels in our 1 1/2years in Australia.

Dirtiest hostel I've been to in a whole year !

Everything is dirty: rooms are not cleaned at all! Only bin that is in front of the room, but inside the room is never vacuumed or cleaned. Weed, dirty cutlery, empty packages of food... just lying around... Bathrooms are very dirty as well!! Tabs are not even attached to the sink Kitchen: dirty dishes pile up and are not looked at

Only good things are proximity to the city and an interesting old building. Bad things.. Very dirty, I don't think the bed sheets had been washed, room looked out into a courtyard full of people smoking and being loud at 4.00am. Window almost fell out when I closed it.

really just good location only

One of the worst backpackers I've stayed at in Australia out of more than 30 ones. Room insufficient space and facilities, a bed and mirror was all there was, broken window, super dirty room bedbugs bite all through four nights, skin allergies from dust. There's a party down the backyard every single night till at least 3am even on weekdays, restless nights. Poor bathroom facilities definitely not worth it for its price, with the same price could be in a much better place.

Worst hostel ever seen! Bad staff, really dirty, uncomfortable like nothing else. + convinient location.

Dirty place

I booked 4 room share. When I walked into the room it was scattered with dirty clothes, walls looked unclean, room had a bad smell to it. No fresh air. It was advertised to have air conditioner which did not work. There is no security for your personal belongings unless you bring your own lock. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. I would be happy to sleep on a couch in a super market rather then here

Broken toilet seat and hole in wall of communal bathroom, my room was at the back above the backyard that partied until late night. If your not working and don't mind living with a hostel full of teenager backpackers then this the place for you. I only stayed there because it was the only accommodation l could get at short notice.

Great location, friendly staff but dirty place

Location is great. The staffs are helpful and friendly. But sadly the hostel is not well-maintained and dirty. The sheets look dirty as well.

Wasn`t expecting much but was still shocked by how dirty the place was. Staff dont even try to make an effort. I slept on top of the covers.

Its just an okay experience. But if the room is more clean, it would a better experience.

這邊的服務人員態度非常好，本次旅行最好的一次 但是宿舍床鋪樓梯有點難爬，而且會吵到下鋪的人.... 住24個人其實還好，每個人都在做自己的事～ 在伯斯這個價錢很難看到了，基本上值得推薦，只要不要太介意清潔度 走2分鐘有免費貓巴士可以搭乘喔～

繁華街に近いし、とにかく安いのが魅力。ただ、若者の宿泊施設という感じで夜は音楽が流れてうるさい。落ち着いて過ごしたい人には向かないホステル。元気に過ごしたい人向け。

その中でもさらに最安値の２４人部屋に10日滞在しました。この値段での想像出来る設備は全て問題ないです。隣がバカでかいゲイバーの箱と半野外の施設があるので週末はとんでもない騒音です。耳栓をドミトリーに泊まる際は必ず持っているので私は問題なく寝れました。 あとはキッチンもリビングも問題ないかと思います。とにかくcity内なので駅までも最短5分でホームに行けます。
