Best place to stay and will definitely come back. Love the quiet place and stay was very friendly and accommodating. Beach was breathtaking.
The staff were courteous, approachable and welcoming. They promptly attended to one's needs. The property was well-kept and clean. The food was always tops, including the breakfast buffet which was quite varied. All in all a wonderful and enjoyable stay!
Amazing hotel, amazing location and amazing staff. The breakfast was hot and varied every day and the staff could not do enough to make the stay relaxing and stress free. Definitely recommend and will be back for sure
Wonderful villa facing the beach with the pool outside our door. Resort is well kept and service is excellent.
10/10
Stayed at Haven many times. Unfortunately this will be the last. The spectacular main pool was unswimmable. Dirty cloudy water, sides of pool covered with algae. Maintenance of pool was being conducted during swimming hours with guest in it, not before like most hotels. Algae coming off the side walls in huge clouds by cleaning crews with guests in water. The room had no hot water for two days. Aircon smelled very musty. Lights burnt out in room. The manager was sympathetic and allowed us access to private pool that was clean. But in my opinion, not worth a return visit
Property has spectacular pool. During stay unswimmable. Pool filter in disrepair. Causing water to become dirty with algae growing on pool. Property should have informed customers prior to arrival.
We enjoyed our stay here, the pool room was perfect!
Great pool and wonderful staff
Nice hotel but needs a little bit of updating.
We had 2 deluxe rooms pool access. The pool access is great and is done at different levels so allows only 5 or so rooms can use that part of the pool. Some had only 2 rooms but a smaller area of the pool but still decent. The food was very nice and very affordable. Service was very good except for breakfast. The breakfast area is small for the size of the hotel. And we went in low season. We had to split up for one of the breakfast which was not great. Choice was good. In the area- about 10 minutes walk you have a small supermarket, a couple of massage places and a couple of restaurant. The massages came in handy as we had rain on the 2 days we were there. We tried the restaurant next door and it was good too. Cheaper than the hotel but the hotel is a bit more and very good quality. So either option is fine. They also have happy hour in the bar from 9pm for an hour. They provide a shuttle every day to go to Khao Lak centre and market at 4.15pm for 2 hours. On some days they have 2 shuttles with another at 2.15pm.
Property is tired and needs attention with maintenance Also very annoying when they scrub the algae of the pools during the day when busy with swimmers having to wade through floating algae this should be cleaned at night
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay. Staff are amazing. Super kind and eager to please. The resort is well kept and very clean.
staff were good, breakfast was good, hotel a bit dated, there is nothing within walking distance
The hotel is situated about a 7 minute taxi from the centre of Town (TB 300). Very quiet secluded area, but with 2 local bars/ restaurants within 500 meters. The hotel is fabulous with the biggest pool in Thailand! Nice bars and restaurant. This is a ‘no kids’ resort. Very pleasant experience.
This is nowhere near 5 star. Room lovely but everything else average. Priced way too high. No evening entertainment and everything finishes early. This needs to be made clear
The Haven is situated 5-10 mins from the main areas of Khao lak by taxi, and fronts a gorgeous stretch of quiet beach. The network of pools that runs through the property is extraordinarily beautiful, get a pool entry room if you can add you swim straight in from your room. Our room was large and well appointed, clean and comfortable. Although the staff are friendly, they are not trained to the level of a good resort. The buildings are well designed and pleasing. The only problem we had was with the food in the resort. Breakfasts were fine, but all meals were had at the Vongole restaurant and room service were truly awful. 2 minutes walk up the beach road leads to some shops, restaurants and amenities that are superior and far more reasonably priced than the hotel. Trip highlights were the pool and beach at the resort - best in area - and sunset drinks at La Flora in Bang Niang and the Golden Elephant restaurant on the strip in Khao lak central. Recommend the area and resort for a relaxing holiday, though there are some low key adventure day trips.
Perfect for Couples Getaway
We had an amazing time at The Haven. They have everything available that you might need, and are very eco-aware (using glass water bottles rather than plastic, etc). Rooms are amazing and super comfortable, and the pools are amazing as well!!! Only con: service can be a little slow. We tried to order drinks at the swim up bar, but after 20+ minutes of sitting there unable to get an order in we left. You need a taxi or motorbike to get into town, so the area was nice and quiet.
Great swimming pool, beautiful beach and only adults
What an amazing stay ! Highly recommend! The staff are so friendly and very helpful, the food is brilliant and the cocktails go down way to easy.
This was our second visit to The Haven and it did not disappoint. What this resort offers is outstanding staff, an amazing swimming pool and a stunning Andaman Sea fronting location.
Location is great and staff are so friendly. Only problem we had was in our bathroom water was leaking from our roof in the bathroom so when you were in there doing your makeup or hair it would drip on you. I told the cleaner straight away a man come in and cleaned it up but that was it. It still dropped all the time
June was a great teacher in cooking class Bambi was very helpful at front desk
Beautiful resort
Pros: absolutely beautiful. The most beautiful views of pool/palm trees/ocean. The pool was good, the beach was clean, the sand was soft, and the ocean was crazy warm. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathroom in the oceanfront villa was beautiful. Included breakfast had a wide selection of Thai/western food. Cons: the bars are expensive (~$7/drink) although that's somewhat to be expected. The AC in the oceanfront villas was only ok. It kept it from getting hot, but it didn't get as cool as I would have liked. The restaurant is the biggest con. It's expensive, the food isn't very good, and service is crazy slow. Also, of the two times we ate at the restaurant they forgot one of our orders both times. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Fear not though, because a short walk up the road there's a much better and cheaper restaurant called The Andaman Restaurant. Also, a short walk south on the beach brings you to a cute restaurant with tables on the beach that is also better and cheaper. So the restaurant shouldn't dissuade you from staying here, just don't eat there.
Amazing
Amazing stay staff and location was great will stay again
The pool is the hotels best feature but didn’t seem to be as clean as last time . The food was nice but over priced at the hotel ,when you could walk down the road to small restaurants and pay half the price. It looked like everyone from the hotel was doing the same thing when it came to dinner. The pool and swim up bar are definitely the hotels best assets. Breakfast at the hotel was good with plenty of options. Service from staff was great always very helpful. On our last day check out was at 2 pm so we requested a later check out which they granted to 4 pm , since all flights to Australia are at 10.30 pm in the evening the hotel should look at giving late checks out so you aren’t sitting around in the heat for 2 hours . Although they do have a guest room to sit in after check out but it would be easier to just stay I. Your room . Over all the Haven is a lovely place to stay at the staff are wonderful this was our second visit to the Haven . The pool is the hotels best asset . Thanks to all the staff for a great holiday .
The staff are excellent, the room was huge and we absolutely loved the pool access room. It was heaven.
The Haven is Heaven. Although somewhat isolated this resort is about the magnificent pool and beautiful Andaman Sea fronting location. The beach is fabulous. The staff can't do enough for you. The rooms are spotless and the massive beds so comfortable.
Great resort
Outstanding resort. High marks for all areas.
Very enjoyable stay. Property could use a little better maintenance
Lovely location and quiet beach. Great hotel and ataff
Lovely, relaxing hotel. Staff are exceptional and a real credit to this hotel. We had a fantastic holiday at the Haven and would definitely recommend. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Superb beach
Superb beach and great pool access room! Awesome and affordable salads, and Thai food.
Everything you need for an utterly relaxing beach holiday. Just bring yourself and they’ll take care of the rest.
Hmm,have travelled around this area extensively and this hotel sits nicely on khuk khak beach khao lak.people with mobility restrictions will have to think twice as there are many steps in the resort and bridges to walkover. Lovely staff and a decent room but am afraid to say some of the staff need better training to be more service orientated, things like clearing plates from tables at breakfast and around the pool is slow at best. The most annoying thing was that everyday day the room was cleaned but failed to leave towels and other amenities and it got a bit frustrating!
Only 3 things need to fix 1. The movement censor in the bathroom - when you in the bathroom and not moving or the censor cannot detect the ventilator will not working, that’s means the smell still inside. 2. Water pressure - bidet spray 3. Wifi BUT everything very very Nice - View, Facilities, Staff, Food and I can say it’s worth it.
The Haven is in its own. All my stress goes away as soon as i step on the property. The staff is wonderful
Amazing hotel and location.
Luxury doesn't do this hotel justice. The staff are super friendly and will go out of their way to assist in you any way they can. Standard room is very large comfortable and spacious. Couldn't fault this place if i tried. Large pool, plenty of seats, literally 10 steps and you are also on the beach. Planning any day trips, the hotel can help you with anything you want, to make the booking process easier. Spa on sight is amazing. Gym, Bar, Restaurant are all to the highest quality.
Nice hotel close to beach
Hotel very comprehensive in layout, security etc - but in need of some maintenance in quite a few areas. A bit out of the way for local walking trips. Courtesy bus runs to make sure it is not easy to eat outside of hotel restaurant without using expensive taxis. (2 runs in and 2 runs from town centre, both in afternoon)
Good value but not great service
This is low season so the hotel was not full. We had pool access rooms which were spacious and led straight to a separate pool section shared by about 8 rooms but this depended on where your room was located as one of our party shared with only 3 rooms. The actual pool area is well set out with 2 swim-up bars and plenty of loungers and direct beach access. The hotel offers (paid) activities and we attempted to take part in the bike ride tour to the local waterfalls. Unfortunately the staff seemed reluctant to take us so we took a taxi and did the hike ourselves- a great trip out. We had wanted to canoe but the sea is very rough at this time of year so the red flag was flying for the 4 days we were in Khao Lak. I did not see any other organised activities taking place during our stay. Generally the staff were apathetic but never directly rude. My daughter asked at reception for information about what to wear to the temple but the answer was, surprisingly, that she did not know! No offer was made to find out-as one would expect from a hotel calling itself luxury. There are 2 happy hours and the food was good but the evening buffets did not seem good value so we only had dinner in the hotel once and chose to eat out in the local restaurants the other evenings. This is a good value hotel which needs a little updating/maintenance to make it better. The staff may be more enthusiastic in high season which would make for a better experience.
Good but not great
Recently stayed at this hotel and while the hotel and facilities were very good the service particularly in the breakfast area was “patchy”. Sometime you were served with a smile and great service but other times it seemed like our group of 5 was an imposition. Plates were often left piling up on the table and the male maître de showing us to our table found it too hard or too difficult to smile so breakfast several mornings was a sour experience. Having said that the breakfast buffet was very good with an excellent variety of Thai and western food. The rooms were very well appointed and the pool was so big and so good. Shame when it rained that the banana lounge covers were not taken indoors. They proved to be very soggy and in some cases mouldy. Check out was also interesting. I am sure that I was over-charged for my stay but it was all too hard to explain and sort at the front desk. Some staff training particularly of the wait staff would not go astray. It was a good stay but not a great stay. Would I go back - probably not.
Over priced
Hotel needs an overhaul My wife went to the bathroom The door locked and she couldn’t open the door to get out I was brushing my teeth and water was pouring out the tap fitting all over my feet. We did complain and the manager kindly up graded us to the villa for a small fee. The hotel needs to be maintained And fixed up, before they change these prices
Fantastic pools and very comfortable beds.
Booked a private spa villa and lovely on arrival. The pools are lovely and large and you can go for a decent swim. The room we booked was off season and we found the daily room service below what we expected for what we paid. Room clean at 3pm and not very good. Maybe it’s standard but we expected more. Buffet for breakfast ok and enough to choose from. Loved the resort but the small touches were not there.
Defiantly not what the photos show
Hotel is so outdated looks nothing like the photos our room the most expensive was so dissapointing the bed was hard as a rock, bathroom full of ants, when it rained our room flooded every time! It was old ugly and worn out. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and needs a massive renovation and a lot of the staff were so rude. Will never stay again and won’t recommend.
The hotel is definitely worth a visit if you need a relaxing beach holiday.
nice personal attention by the staff, and friendly atmosphere. They make you feel very special
Great room
The pool access room was great. The resort is in good condition but some areas need some TLC. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend a visit
Special treat hotel
The Haven is a beautiful hotel with great facilities. We had a lovely holiday there and would recommend this hotel to our family and friends. To ensure that the hotel continues with their world renowned services and facilities, it’s important to update them on opportunities to improve. In previous reviews, there’s comments relating to maintenance and we agree that some of the wooden walkways need repair. They are rather slippery when wet. Some of the planks are lifting and could cause a nasty injury should someone slip and fall. The breakfast buffet caters for many tastes however from 9:30am, the depleted offerings are not replaced which doesn’t leave much for the late breakfast visitors to choose from. The buffet is then limited should you arrive after 9:30am for breakfast. The hotel shuttle to Khoa Lak was a treat. It would be great if the shuttle ran late morning or a final return trip at 8pm. The Haven is a lovely hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would return in the near future.
Brilliant Holiday in Khao Lak
We had the best holiday at The Haven Khao Lak, the resort has its own beach and the main pool is brilliant with a great swim-up bar. Our stay was made even better by opting for pool access rooms...I can't recommend this option enough, it is well worth it!
Worst Hotel Food in the World
Resort is VERY OLD, food was the WORST hotel food ive ever had and ive stayed at over 200 different hotels. Pool is great and the beach is nice but as usual in the south its at a slant so hard to walk. Stay at the JW Marriott instead. NOT JOKING WORST HOTEL FOOD IN THE WORLD!!!!
Exactly as expected
I find that when you look at any hotel, you view it with a pinch of salt. Rooms never look as good as the photos, the water isn't really that clear, everything is brochure ready and doesn't depict real life. The exception is this hotel. I can't fault this hotel in any way. On arrival, we were treated to a welcome drink and complimentary fruit bowl in our room. The hotel is a short walk away from a 7/11, a number of restaurants and bars which means you have choice on your doorstop if you opt not to eat at the hotel. If you decide to venture further afield, all taxis have a pre-agreed set rate for popular destinations throughout Khao Lak - 300bht from the hotel to market(s) or central Khao Lak. That is the equivalent of ~£7.00 each way, but once you get into central town you can easily find restaurants with main meals £2-3. We opted for the swim-up room, and would recommend it for anybody who wants an elongated stay. If you are only at the hotel for a few nights, the main pools is large and with the swim up bar, and you wouldn't miss the private pools. I plan to go back to Thailand in 2020 if not before, and certainly will be re-booking at the Haven.
Quite and Relaxing Hotel, Beach and large pools.
Quite and Relaxing Hotel, with Beach and large pools. Room is large, comfortable bad, helpful accessories like beach mat, beach basket, umbrellas. Good verity of food selection at the breakfast and at the evening buffet, Some restaurants outside the hotel (few min. walking) offering local tasty food in much lower prices. We did not like the satires we had to take everywhere: at the way from the room to the dining areas, to the pool or to the beach. As in this is hotel kids are not allowed, I would expect to have facilities for older and disable guest. Not suitable for any one who have difficulties claiming stairs up and down.
The best swimming pool!
Stayed two weeks in an ocean view jacuzzi villa which was excellent, very spacious ,fabulous private deck area and access to the amazing pool with wonderful seaview.Hotel staff were extremely attentive and the front desk were very helpful and efficient when booking excursions and restaurants. We enjoyed theThai buffet in the restaurant.Plenty of cheap and cheerful restaurants within walking distance, but if you prefer more refinement many restaurants offer a complementary taxi service. Overall this is great beach hotel with good service and a fabulous swimming pool. The ocean front rooms are fantastic and spotlessly clean. Quiet area but it is easy to get out and about ands the national parks.
Great Hotel
The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and well appointed. One of the best pools in Thailand. Very good breakfast buffet. Great location. I would highly recommend The Haven if your staying in Khao Lak. It’s worth a special trip up there if your staying in Phuket. Much quieter.
Dive Holidays
The staff, the location, the facilities are all great. It made my stay in Khao Lak my favorite stop in Thailand.
Nice stay
Great hotel. Fabulous staff. Beautiful property. All of the pools are amazing. Breakfast is good and diverse. Only complaints: the pools by the individual rooms were a bit too cold. We hardly used it. Also, the main pool closed at 6 in evening. That was way too early and a bit odd especially if you don't have a room that has abuts the 'room pools' - which we did not the first 2 nights. Also, there are no chairs on the beach. They just offer you a pad to take and sit on. I prefer a chair and feel that an umbrella is an essential. There is no shade on the beach.
Highly recommended.
Beautiful location, nice breakfast, Great pools, great Beach, lots of sunbeds, a nicely equipped gym with a great view of the pools and the sea. Overall a nice spot with Restaurants nearby and a shuttle into town. Only drawbacks: special events that can affect the customer and a very ugly entrance for the north wing rooms. A lot cleaner and more relaxed than the usual Phuket locations.
Beautiful hotel
Such a beautiful quiet setting, far from the madness of Patong. it has picture perfect views and the hotel is clean and the grounds well kept.
Great beach and pool. Rooms good. Very good spa.
Enjoyed my stay. Staff very helpful. Great beach and pool. Food and cocktails a bit average. A drive to better dining options. Might benefit from less buffets and a great Thai Restaurant. The Spa was very good with reasonable prices. Amanda Australia October 2017
Would recommend
Good place to stay Friendly staff Good value for your money I would stay again
Awonderful destination
We had an 8 night stay at The Haven. 5 days of sun, 3 days with rain and wind... and a wonderful spot to relax whatever the weather.
More than excellent!
Well its my first time visit kaolak thai This resort is more then excellent resort! Dont miss a experience
Beautiful place
Was so hard to leave this beautiful place on friday. My husband and i spent 3 nights here from the 25th July. The only downside was the weather but we cant control that. The staff were amazing. We went out to the restaurant for dinner and when we got back to our room our curtains had been closed bottle of water beside our bed and a flower and card wishing us sweet dreams. Its the little things that make it so special. Meals were really nice couldn't fault any of our meals. Cocktails were amazing beautiful location right on the beach and very quiet and relaxing. Will definitely be back next year thank you to everyone that made our trip so special
Second stay in 2 years - thoroughly enjoyed again.
good hotel cant use beach to dangerous
good hotel in great position to many stairs food so so
We stayed here for 10 nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay, oceanfront jacuzzi villa is a must.
Great location amazing pool
The Haven is a lovely hotel. Unfortunately they had no record of our reservations (annoyingly as I had emailed them with a couple of queries and they Replied! ), which caused a headache on our first day, luckily there was a villa available but not until later in the day so lots of hanging around, though they did provide a rest room. The pool is fantastic, allowing for nice long swims. Only ate in the restaurant once for lunch which was nice. Ate out locally the rest of the time. We had a jacuzzi villa. The villa was nice but had no storage apart from a wardrobe which is very poor. There is plenty of room for lots of drawers etc so no excuse. The fridge is actually a cooler so pretty poor, no ice box so always needing ice. The Outlook from the villa patio area is stunning and when it is quiet it is heaven, they are not very private. The beach is lovely and peaceful and you can walk both ways a fair distance. It is a difficult walk in parts due to the sloping! Lovely staff, special mention for May the villa cleaner and all round carer. The free shuttles to town are a bit early and the bigger bus of the two is old and uncomfortable. All in all a lovely holiday.
Great hotel in perfect location
The Haven ticked all our boxes. Our room was v large with the biggest bed we've ever seen along with a settee & table. The balcony was also a good size. The only downside to the room was a lack of drawers but this can be overcome for a couple of weeks. Breakfast was v good & plentiful, waffle machine soon became a favourite. The outlook from the breakfast room is beautiful. The pool area was busy during our stay but we always found beds. For anyone that likes swimming the pool is phenomenal, it was always quiet & the length is said to be 340 metres so brilliant for trying to 'swim off' those extra holiday calories. The beach is just across a quiet beach road, a lovely long stretch of golden sand and the sea is like bath water. Although The Haven is quite remote, it suited us perfectly, there are at least 6 restaurants within a very short walk. Our favourite was probably Lays. The free shuttle bus into Khao Lak & lots of taxis are available for anyone who wants more nightlife. We can't wait to go back.
Retirement Resort
I would not recommend this resort if you're planning on visiting with friends or a young couple for a fun weekend. The resort is more catered to an older crowd.
This was the best resort I ever stayed at!!!!!!
Great facility, great pool, far away location. Must have car if you want to eat away from hotel.
We only stayed one night and came to scuba dive so we didn't check out the town but it seemed quiet, not too much to do. This resort though was gorgeous and the amenities were great. Highly recommend if you stay in this town!
Quiet and relaxing
We stayed 3 nights at peak season around Christmas time. The room was clean and the pool access was great. The environment was quiet and relaxing. Everything was good but the quality of food was not up to standard for a 4/5- star hotel.
Beautiful beachfront resort
This is a really nice beachfront resort. Lot's of big pools and the room with pool access is good.
Incredibly beautiful grounds and room
This was one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed at. The value was incredible as something like this in California would have been 5x the price. The staff was so nice and spoke great english. I can imagine spending a week (or two) here and being very relaxed. We had a quick stopover here before getting on a live aboard ship and it was worth every penny.
This has been a very enjoyable stay.
We enjoyed our time here so much, we extended our time here by 5 additional days.
Nice place but only complaint was the Wi-Fi. Not great for a 5 *
Great Hotel, will definitely stay here again
Loved having our own private pool. Rooms were large, great size bed and comfortable and very clean.
It was amazing! It was my second stay at the Haven, and I would definitely come back!!! Great pool, great friendly people, highly recommend!!!
Out of the Way
Khaolak is a wonderful place for those who want a quiet holiday. The Haven is really quiet and for those new to the area, it is away from any action. So much bless you have a car you may feel isolated. Great pools to sit by and relax.
Outstanding, beautiful, beach front and relaxing
The location was great, peaceful and relaxing. You could here all day and night time the wave sounds. The swimming pool was great and you could enjoy salt water. The hotel was adults only and very calm. nice staff and I can say we miss the place. Breakfast and food also were wonderful.
Very relaxing
Great place to stay but a quite a distance from anything else. Recommend hiring a scooter to give independence as shuttle only operates two dropoffs and two pickups a day. Best breakfast selection we've ever seen.
Great hotel, but in need of some maintenance.
Wonderful hotel to stay at,but only if the weather is good.Poured with rain solidly for 4 days.Roofs leaking.Pools are fantastic, staff very accommodating and happy.Rooms spacious with great extras.
Nice Resort 6klm out of Town
We stayed here in a Pool Access Room for 10 nights. As there is a heatwave presently this was a great choice. Our 5th trip to Khao Lak and I must say this is not the beast beach. The hotel was marketed "Adults Only" yet half way through our stay there were a lot of families with children (12-16) spoilt the atmosphere. For that reason would not go back. As a Coeliac I was able to get Gluten Free Bread at Breakfast but did not eat at the hotel Restaurant as staff did not understand what Coeliac (Gluten Free) meant.
Fabulous resort in quieter area of Khao Lak
We stayed at the resort during the last week in April and had a wonderful time basically just relaxing. The resort is located in a quieter area along the beach, but still within easy 5-10min drive into the centre of Khao lak, either by the resort shuttle or hired scooters. A couple of times we also walked into town along the beach, but you have to do this at low tide. We did get slightly lost on the first trip but soon found our way with Google Maps - and then just caught one of the many taxis back to the resort. I'm not sure why the last resort shuttle pick up from the centre of Khao lak is only at 6:30pm - for most people that is about when they just start thinking of going out to dinner.. We had 3 adults staying in a deluxe balcony room - the room was plenty big enough. The pool at the resort is amazing. A large number of rooms are pool access - which would be a great feature if you were perhaps traveling with a group of people - but we enjoyed swimming at the main pool and having drinks at the poolside bar. Enjoy Happy Hour - great way to spend time in the late afternoon. The buffet breakfast could not be faulted - plenty of choice for all tastes. The resort staff were there to assist in any way and made you feel humble in the way they went about their work. The only slight negative is that the beach directly in front of the resort, is not that fantastic for swimming - as it is quite steep, but who really cares when there is the beautiful resort pool to swim in
Very relaxin away from all the noise and hustle of Phuket. Wonderful pools, attentive staff
Beautiful hotel and beach
Beautiful hotel surrounded by a lot of beautiful swimming pools... Lovely beach and sunsets with no sun beads on the beach. I had a room on the 3rd floor which was very big in size and a nice view on the surrounding. Breakfast was great.. To go to any center of khao luk you need your own transportation or use the transport of the hotel which run twice daily. Near the hotel there are a few beach restaurants which serve a good sea food with low prices.
A disappointing room arrangement
Though I wrote to request for the first row pool access room in a few month advance, I wasn't assigned for it. Later on, as I asked for a paid upgrade to a villa, no one replied, until the next morning I approached to the front desk, and found out if they could have checked and replied a bit earlier, I could have got one. The restaurant is at average, but I'd recommend their Thai dishes.
Happy
We will return
Heavenly Place and the Staff are Angels
We booked 4 nights/ 5 days at The Haven as we were there to attend a wedding at a nearby resort, The Pullman. We were so impressed with the facilities at The Haven, the buffet breakfast which was included in our deal- the swimming pools: OMG! Gorgeous! And right on the beach! It felt like a private getaway. But above all, what made our stay the most special was the beautiful STAFF. We could not thank them enough for their GENUINE smiles and willingness to look after all our needs. They made us feel like family in their home. I work for a major airline in Australia and stay at many hotels all year round - this was the ultimate customer service imaginable from the bell hops to the housekeeping staff. It was one of the few experiences where you feel happy to tip (not that they expect it!). As you can tell, it was a warm welcome to Thailand for us and our 2 daughters, and as a result, we will go back. The Pullman, where we went for our friend's wedding was equally lovely, but we have to say we loved our Haven staff more! That made our short holiday the best. They helped us book a phenomenal half day Elephant Trek and Bathing tour with GREEN TOURS which was the best experience ever! We will never forget it. So easy to book thanks to the Haven reception staff. We will certainly book here again. Thanks to all the beautiful staff once again!
Almost there but a few things to sort out
In general we love the resort, the deluxe room with private pool access is great. You get a private pool for up to 5 rooms. We did have problem with our bathroom light which didn't take them long to fix but it did take 4 calls before they got on to repairing it. We ate at the restaurant twice in six nights. The first night we chose off the main menu there was also live cooking and a buffet. Whilst we did not complain we had to wait a very long time well over an hour for our meal. Which unfortunately was under cooked the steak was rare which was not what I ordered, no problem they sorted this out. They dealt with situation well, as without complaint they gave us the whole meal complimentary. Two days later thinking we were just unlucky we had another meal, this time the waiter presented me with what he said was a chicken burger (which would have been correct) but it was clearly a beef burger. Which given the previous delays I ate. To be fair again they took this off the bill. May be we were just unlucky but I think they need to pay a bit more tension to detail. It is a shame as the restaurant staff are nice honest people but like report of faults the management need to put some small important things right. The resort is lovely, very relaxing and go for the deluxe pool access rooms we thought it was worth the extra. Just a few things to sort out. Housekeeping were excellent.
Great hotel for a relaxing a getaway
I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel, we stayed here for 10 days and had a thoroughly excellent time. The hotel is very well presented and the ambience is quiet and relaxing. It's very clean everywhere and is actually quite nice to walk around. Our room was big for 2 people (we had a standard 1st floor balcony room) but it was nice to have the space to move around and the balcony was just the right size for 2 to sit out on. The bed was super comfy, the room and bathroom was very clean and was kept this way each day by housekeeping. The staff were all really helpful & polite and the breakfast is fantastic. The main pool/sunbed area is a great place to spend the day and there are staff on hand to bring you drinks/food etc whenever you like. The pool is very clean (it does not feel like it is saltwater at all) and the swim up bar is just a great added bonus. The pool looks out over the beach which is another added bonus - it is so quiet on the beach with hardly anyone there other than other guests. It is also probably the best beach I have ever seen in Thailand - white sand, warm blue water and completely clear of rubbish etc, it was awesome. It's also perfect for catching some great sunsets too. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday then this is the place for you.
4 star hotel with great facilities
Nice facilities, great rooms and swimming pool are very nice, staff and breakfast needs improvement
Very relaxing, great facilities. The food was wonderful as were the activities available. Ease to getting to the beach.
Love it!
Love the location! Not to miss the happy hour!
Relaxing, relaxing and relaxing
Great place for relaxing, not for anything else
The hotel is beautiful, but too far from nightlife or any other activities. Not too much to do except relaxing by the pool. The beach is nice but the sand is not the soft white sand, but kind of rough with small rocks so was hard to enjoy, the gym is nice with a great view, the restaurant is only OK. There is only one restaurant and it is so so. The breakfast is OK not great.
Very good hotel. Nice and quiet with good service and friendly staff. If you're looking for a very relaxing and quiet getaway then I can highly recommend this hotel. The beachfront is beautiful and unspoilt. The local restaurants are lovely and having a cocktail at the pool bar is always fun...
Beautiful resort!
Such a beautiful resort! Perfect for relaxation time, right on the beach & the pools are lovely. No need to leave the resort! Staff are helpful & everything is always clean. We hired a scooter for a day for 300 baht & went to a local market that's on 3 times a week (similar stalls to those in Patong, clothes, copy stuff, jewelry etc). Khao Lak is more of a quiet area so that's great if you don't like the hectic rat race of Patong beach. I'm not one that's keen to travel to the same place again but we would definitely come back here if we could find a good deal on flights & accommodation.
Nice relaxing resort.
New hotel still be finalised. Very relaxing resort with no children, pool access room very nice. Staff still have a bit to learn, but very nice and do their best. Very nice pools overlooking beach.

The property is in a superb location on a deserted beach, sunsets are stunning and the saltwater pool is very impressive. Great breakfast with a great egg station and good array of options. Swim up bar and snack bar with a nice restaurant for the evening. Also good fitness room and a wonderful Spa, would recommend the couples massage experience.
