Great hotel, great location
Fabulous hotel. We had a self catering cottage and it was brilliant
Overall a nice property with friendly staff in a good easily walkable location to the seafront and shops bars there. It has a nice bar and does good food in the restaurant and the general areas were well kept. What let it down for me was the room we had was lacking in that there was very poor water pressure in the shower, tv didn’t work, minimal hanging space and generally tired. They do have different types of rooms however and we were staying in what I think was the oldest part of the property so it’s entirely possible other rooms are not lacking in these things. Overall though we enjoyed the stay and would probably go back, but in a different part of the property perhaps.
Very nice staff. Lovely pool.
Perfect
A lovely hotel in beautiful grounds with friendly, helpful staff. The room was perfect for our needs as a family of 4: clean, comfortable and peaceful. Having the swimming pool to ourselves was an added bonus. We’ll be back!
Cromer cottage stay just ok
We stayed in one of the cottages. It is tired but clean and tidy ok for one night. Comfy bed but the heating wasn’t on when we arrived and was very cold took a bit to heat up. Expensive and won’t stay again
Great stay
Would have preferred a king size bed next time
Massively overpriced. No air con, no fan in the room, dirty shower cubicle and a dripping gutter right outside the room that splashed water in and wetted our things.
I stayed only for one night but it was great stay, so quiet and peaceful. Would recommend to stay there again.
Lovely stay, beautiful surroundings and a short walk into Cromer. The private use of the swimming pool was a wonderful addition.
Absolutely fantastic hotel, value for money was great, the setting is stunning and the breakfast menu is fantastic, but most importantly they had plugs and USB sockets next to the bed and a good shower! couldn’t recommend enough!
A lovely spot
Unfortunately, as my trip was work related, I had to leave too early for a leisurely breakfast. Fabulous grounds, a great location and, having eaten in the restaurant in the past, good food. Miserable weather which made the room a little chilly on arrival. I hope to stay again at more leisure.
We enjoyed our stay one night. We did have evening meal which was excellent well presented and taste. We did stay here last year. And enjoyed it.
I arrived late afternoon, check in was very easy to find I’d also had an upgrade on my room, I didn’t dine with them as I met a colleague in town, however I enquired if I could have a take away breakfast as I needed to be away early again this was swiftly sorted- great place to stay.
stylish property enjoyed stay nice to have a pool
Everything was fine
Clean, comfortable & welcoming.
Did a 1 night stay here in December for work reasons. Hotel & room were brilliant, Clean & very comfortable. Staff on arrival & departure were really friendly & welcoming. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Nice, easy parking, short walk to town.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Tranquility and wonderful environrmy
Almost Perfect
Perfect location quiet and secluded, perfect for joy having any foot traffic cars etc to disturb our dogs. Only 2 bad things that can be fixed easily is- • TV in Bedroom is size of a postage stamp. • The tree needs to be cut back a lot to Allow sun in the garden (advertised picture is not true representation of sunlight) Prevent birds/pigeons pooping 💩 everywhere when trying to relax in garden. We like to have our breakfast outside and on a return from a walk to have tea or an evening drink relaxing, but there was too much poop. And I suppose it could do with some new paint to make it brighter in doors, and saying goodbye to that dark green paint in the lounge. For a short break it’s perfect for us.
Super
Great place, friendly staff, excellent restaurant.
Super hotel, excellent facilities & lovely staff!
What a lovely hotel! The grounds and facilities are wonderful. We stayed in one of the cottages which was perfect. I loved the kitchen garden. The walk to the beach was excellent - 15 minutes to the pier. The staff were lovely and attentive, we didn't use the pool but it looked good, and I loved the glamping pods - all in all a lovely hotel and a perfect place to stay for exploring Cromer.
Self catering at the Grove, Cromer
We stayed at the Groves self catering cottages & it was a bit of a mish mash! Lounge was ok but the furniture didn’t match well. The kitchen was well equipped but parts were damaged & looked tired. The bedroom( best room) was good & the bed was comfy. Whereas the bathroom was poor! Toilet seat didn’t fit & bowl was discoloured with limescale, the laminate floor is lifting & bubbling. The sink taps were also corroded.
A very enjoyable stay
Very comfortable little cottage.well equipped and very comfortable bed. Great location to Cromer sea front. About a ten minute walk. Nice quiet location.
Short break
Overall decor and furnishings a bit tired in cottage. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food and service in restaurants very good. Massage was lovely in massage hut.
Weekend break
Relaxing break in elegant surroundings.
The Grove was a great place to spend a few days in Cromer before Christmas. Fab location with a lovely walk through the woods to the beach. The accommodation with comfortable and had exactly what you needed, including a coffee machine and a recycling bin! The swimming pool was the perfect temperature and having it all to ours for 45 mins was an extra surprise that made it all the more enjoyable. The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious and definitely worth the money we paid. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting somewhere a place to stay that is cosy, comfortable and reasonably priced in North Norfolk.
Lovely location. Only 10 minute walk to Cromer.
Beautiful hotel, lovely grounds, room was clean and much nicer than we expected - and the food was fantastic as well. Highly recommended. Staff were polite and accommodating and went the extra mile. Sharon on reception in particular. Definitely worth a visit.
I ate early in the restaurant, my meal was lovely and the staff couldn't have been more attentive. My room was clean and very comfortable. I would definitely stay again.
It is a lovely quaint hotel with very friendly staff. Excellent location to the town and sea front
Cottage was great. Lovely character.
Good service from reception staff, very helpful. Easy walk to the town centre and coastal walk.
Charming Cromer
Delighted with all aspects of experience
Lovely hotel
The whole experience was great from start to finish. Service was fantastic and the food delicious. My room (12), whilst a single, was like a mini suite. I enjoyed having the option between the main restaurant and the more casual sundowner, with both being equally good. Lovely walk through the woods to the seafront too
It's very private and close to the ocean
The Grove - Cromer (Mrs Page cottage)
Lovely place to stay with family, very spacious cottage (Mrs. Page) and amazing food served at the restaurant. No faults, just, perhaps, a little more personal touches would be great. Will definitely book again.
Poor plumbing
Rooms poorly maintained
Amazing
Our stay was amazing, lovely accommodation and situated in beautiful surroundings. Staff were very friendly and efficient.
Excellent
Great family room & friendly staff.
Bit of a quirky set up which we loved. Room with couch, bed and 2 single beds on a mezzanine. Great views of the garden and a short walk into cromer.
Just book it!
Relaxing and comfortable stay in Cromer. Excellent quality and service from a very friendly team. Lovely grounds and an excellent restaurant really made it feel special. Thanks, we’ll be back!
Just a short break.
Stayed in the cottages as not allowed into the main hotel due to corvid regs, but the heated pool was open to all. Very nice position in Cromer, near to all services/shops etc, and the grounds around the hotel were lovely.
Family hospitality
Lovely cottage, great location, and incredibly friendly, helpful staff.
A most enjoyable experience, the Barn was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Would definitely use the Grove agaIn if ever in Cromer area!
Very cosy, clean and welcoming. Very good service. Dinner at the restaurant was truly excellent and well deserving AA rosette award.
orfolk break
A short break on the Norfolk coast. Nice bracing walk on sea front. Hotel not far from town centre with plenty of parking. Nice evening meal and friendly staff
Cromer - The Grove
Very welcoming. Very comfortable. Great location. Lovely setting.
Must visit again
Staff were very switched-on about Covid 19 procedures, and wore PPE where appropriate. Hotel had a very friendly vibe, and the breakfast was ace!
Fabulous little cottage and great service - thank you
Amazing facilities, so family friendly and very helpful staff. The food at the restaurant was also excellent
The grove is a lovely old building however our room booked through Expedia, is although clean with a comfortable bed, extremely small. I would not want to stay in it again.
I enjoyed my stay tremendously. Lovely hosts and staff who looked after me very well. Gorgeous house and grounds. There was nothing not to like 👌
The Coach House was very clean and comfortable. Thank you for leaving some milk for our morning coffees.
Excellent location, excellent facilities, friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in one of the cottages and everything we needed was there. It was comfortable and well equipped but could do with a just little updating in the furnishings. Would definitely stay at The Grove again.
Great location with a short walk through beautiful woods with deer onto cliff top. Stayed in a garden room which was absolutely fantastic. Wouldn’t hesitate to return here. Very clean and friendly helpful staff, thank you for a most enjoyable stay.
Convenient for beach and town. Self catering accommodation perfect for casual restful few days away
Liked the independence of the bungalow(in the grounds) but in need of updating. Pool lovely but shower was not welcoming. When trying to book breakfast in the restaurant were told hotel guests have priority and they would let us know, eventually squeezed us in!
Short stay
The cottage we stayed in was really comfy and it was nice after a long day walking on the beach to come back to a warm cottage , definitely home from home.
The cottage was perfect for a weekend away; clean, tidy and comfortable. Plus the added bonus of being able to use the facilities at the hotel
A beautiful property in extensive grounds with attentive and polite staff.
From the moment we arrived everything was just perfect. We stayed in the Barn which worked well for our party. The accommodation was perfect, our only regret was not staying longer. The food from the restaurant was exquisite and all my party commented on the quality and presentation of each course. The ambience was also spot on with the lightning perfect for the experience. The staff were of exceptional standard, not to forward but always there if you required their services. I would like to find fault in something, there by giving you something to improve. None of my party could find anything too fault..... The ultimate review is whether you would return? All of our party would return at the drop of a hat. Well done to all the staff and Family who work and own the The Grove. You should all be proud to have contributed to a slice of paradise in Cromer.
Lovely property, everything you could want for a perfect holiday
Great hotel in a beautiful location. Old school, but facilities, service, staff etc. Bang up to date
Beautiful hotel in a great position, only 10 minute walk into town. Very clean, spacious room with a great breakfast in the morning.
xcellet
Beautiful hotel and surrounding. Friendly staff. Wonderful food.
Location and amenities ideal for children would visit again
Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel, fab sparking afternoon tea, comfy bed (room 8) helpful staff and delicious breakfast!
The gardens were delightful so natural. Easy access to the beach cutting through the woods and walking down to Cromer about 15 mins.
Wardobe was old and had a strong smell. No anti slip mat in the bath.
Spacious property and gardens, lovely walk through the woods to the town. Beautiful old building with lots of history. Great location and proximity to town.
Spacious en suite room in well managed extensive grounds of Hotel. Excellent food, though the menu was identical each night - we stayed 2 nights, so not a problem, but it could be if you stayed a week or more. Excellent swimming pool. Quiet location despite being near main road and Cromer. Excellent location for exploring the NE coast of Norfolk.
Happy Weekend at The Grove
We had a lovely weekend with you. The accommodation was comfortable and ideal for us both. We were served with delicious food in the restaurant and waited on by attentive staff. The shared commitment to the family business makes it work well.
Room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was lovely. The hotel is well situated close to the beach and the town centre.

Do not book with dogs. Not dog friendly!!
I booked the hotel because it was dog friendly, but when my wife and I arrived with our two small dogs after a 3-hour drive, we were alienated in the middle of a busy hotel because we brought the dogs inside. The restaurant manager, Micheal, said to the receptionist, ‘Get them out’, which is completely unacceptable. We were then ushered outside and pointed in the direction of our room with no introduction to the property, check-out times, etc. We have never felt so unwelcome and did not expect this level of service when paying over £200 a night for a room. We were then told at 10:15 that we had to be out at 10:30 but were given an extra 20 minutes free of charge, which is subpar. They accepted our money but did not want to show any gratitude or service towards us.
