Mega comfortable bed, amazing food, friendly staff
A wonderful experience. Booked following reviews from previous visitors and wanting to be near Somerton. We had Room 6 - exceptionally comfortable bed, lovely room, really appreciated the hot chocolate, biscuits and bottled water. Quiet other than the door banging (needed a sock wedged inbetween door and frame!). Booked 6.30pm table and had a most beautifully presented and delicious meal. One vegetarian - only thought was there were only two vegetarian options, mushrooms with orzo (delicious) or jack fruit burger. Mega bonus was the Trivial Pursuit box of questions on each table, we had great fun with those and stayed long enough to make room for desert.
Warm welcoming staff, great food and service in the restaurant. Breakfast just right
Lovely stay
Staff were amazing, always available to deal with any requests. The food was lovely and at a reasonable price. Old fashion pub with a fantastic choice of drinks.
Glastonbury tour
Good service from staff. Very small room and extremely hot. Difficult to get a good night sleep due to high noise outside at night with windows open. Excellent breakfast.
Overnight stop with friends
We have stayed here many times iver the years when visiting friends in Somerset. Its a lovely country pub very comfortable, clean rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is always good, never had a bad stay.
Great one night stopover whilst on a cycling trip. Comfy room, excellent breakfast and really friendly staff. Would stay again
The staff were all very welcoming and conscientious. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The food was outstanding. The continental breakfast was much more than the usual breakfast provided at hotels and inns. We had dinner there too, which was delicious. The inn exceeded our expectations in every way.
The proprietors clearly care about the service they are offering. Clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and good food.
Just excellent all round.
Continental breakfast outstanding flavours
Wheel chair access via function room and we were early so we're able to grab the snug room for my hard of hearing mother in law. We enjoyed the special menu offerings. Didn't miss a cooked breakfast after we tried the continental breakfast moist honey roast ham and smoked cheddar both finished on the premises. Outstanding flavour.
We will return
Our stay was fantastic, the staff wete very efficient and friendly with great service 😀
Very good service clean and well equipped staff very welcome in only fault was could hear the beat of the music from the pub down stairs 😀
17th Century Inn
Charming 17th Century Inn. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We initially planned to eat our evening meal on the first night of our 3 night stay. However the food was excellent and so we eat here every night. Whilst there was not a full English breakfast, the continental breakfast was great to set us up for the day, with ham, smoked cheese, fruit, cereal and juices.toast and croissants. We will definitely be back.
Happy customers
Lovey staff. They couldn’t have done more for us. The food was delicious and very good quality and the rooms were comfortable and clean

2 night stay visiting friends
We received a very warm welcome by the staff. Our room was comfortable, nice view over the garden. We were supplied with tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits and bottles of water. All replenished the next day. Food was excellent, good portions and plenty of choice. The continental breakfast was nice and refreshing.
Very nice stay.
Typical English pub. Room was comfortable and quiet. Mattress perfect. Continental breakfast
Great stay lovely place and people, just a little remote and could do with traditional breakfast
Good base camp 😀
Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was good standard. We enjoyed our weeks stay.
Nice quiet stay in relaxed setting
We stayed here one night after a long international flight. Great quiet night sleep with everything we needed. Nice breakfast the next morning as we headed out to start exploring. Staff were friendly, room was clean, good value
Fantastic!!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good choice of beers 🍻
Very quiet setting. Nicely furnished room and good food.
We had a great time at the Cross Keys. The room was great value for money - modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were great - polite, helpful and friendly. We'll be back!

Lovely room, lovely pub, lovely food. A great stay.
Great find!
Stayed for 3 days during the dairy show at the bath and west show ground. What a great find. Cosy and friendly pub downstairs with a great menu and lovely garden. Rooms were great and quiet, comfy beds! Will return!
Great location
Great location and great service
Best stay
One of our nicest stays anywhere. Very friendly, clean and wonderful food. We only stayed one night but wish it had been longer, we will definitely be staying there again.
Great Staff, Excellent food, well worth the money
Lovely
Wow just wow, lovely food lovely people and great beer. The room was lovely too. All in all an awesome stay
The location and staff are excellent ,Quick and ready to please. The food is homemade and the beer goes down just fine. Only issue is the room is really small
Well appointed bedroom, very clean, with toiletries, bottled water and chocolates provided - also good tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was tremendous. Would happily stay again.
Lovely traditional English pub. Food was lovely and a good choice. Staff friendly and cheerful and had a lovely atmosphere. Room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again
A wonderful place to stay
We had a lovely stay the food and beer were great The staff made us feel welcome and were helpful and pleasant I would definitely advise anyone to stay there as we were really happy with our stay
We stayed in a twin room which was small but comfortable. The en-suite was good. It is also a lively pub so there was some late night noise but it wasn’t too bad. The breakfast menu is varied which was good.
Stayed for work good location for our job First b& b I’ve stayed in where you don’t get your bed made
When you make a reservation at a hotel through an OTA at 11pm at night, you don’t give a hotel much chance to prepare, but when my son and I rocked up at 1.30 am the welcome was friendly. The staff were great the whole while we stayed here. A real West-Country welcome.
Good location. Attentive friendly staff. Room very hot overnight, fan provided not very effective. However overall stay pleasant.
They were very accommodating. We were traveling with our children and they were quite thoughtful. We really appreciated it. Fantastic food! Very comfortable and enjoyable stay for all.
Excellent inn, great service
Very pleasant inn, excellent and very friendly service. Great food and wide range of beers, ciders and wines. Room was comfortable and quiet. Will be happy to stay again.
This place is literally at a country cross-roads with a gas station, a used car lot and an RV lot. It was a great stop for us on our way to Wells and Bath. Good food at the pub downstairs and a clean, comfortable room. We did not have much noise from the pub and it was a Saturday night.
Nice hotel, stayed for 2 nights. Fantastic staff nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was lovely. The room was great tea and coffee facilities and en-suite. Even with music and patrons the room was quiet. Plenty of parking and a nice selection of drinks not just mass market. Loved the chunky furniture, would stay again for sure.
on arrival staff are so welcoming, room was very spacious ( stayed in family room) good choice for breakfast and evening meals
Meals very slow tables not set .shorrt staff hav stayed there befor and been very pleased.
Thought it was a lovely place. I was there for a competition with my daughter. We needed to leave at 0800 on Sunday and were told breakfast was from 0730. Unfortunately no one was there and we were unable to get the breakfast we had paid for.
Tiny room. Dirty windows.
Below ratings level. Poor breakfast quality after 20 min wait.. no orange juice??
Lovely B&B
Stopped here for a night at the start o September as we were attending a wedding nearby. Checkin was easy, staff super friendly and the breakfast was brilliant - really nice pub too with a great atmosphere! Room was clean and comfy. Would defInitely recommend.

Great local inn
Amazing inn and very popular with some lovely local beers and foods. Was quite noisy at night if you need an early night.
