Great place

Good location and comfortable stay
Old building so quirks expected. Cross Keys single room nice, bathroom clean, heating good and adjustable. All staff very pleasant and helpful, Manager, Chef, Housekeeping, and others. Specially enjoyed bacon and egg sandwich for breakfast. Let me leave cabin case on premises after checkout until later in the day. Historic area so lots to see, and many shops ie Boots, Waterstones, Co-op and Curzon cinema, within walking distance although some steps and inclines rather steep.Railway station and Tatton Park within easy walking distance (at each end of the road). Tatton Perk and Real Fruit Creamery gelato shop very close by, and the lovely moor with ducks and swans on the water and seats to rest and take in the view. Lots to see, many places to eat, lots of old architecture if that is your thing.
Nice place and room spacious
Easy Pet Friendly Location
Remarkably easy for a trip with a pet - rear car park and patio well set out to accommodate - staff exceptional Only gripe is no check in after 9:00 pm - all said excellent
No shower available, had to leave to go to another hotel, as no other room available.Advised would receive a refund, then when we contacted hotels.com advised no refund available. Shocking customer services would not recommend anyone stay there in the future.
Was lovely to stay in Knutsford but have done with some bottles of water in the room.
Lovely comfortable room
Business Trip
The staff were great, the rooms were ok but need upgrading. The noise was really bad, with the planes going in and out of the airport it felt like I was on the end of the runway. Its a shame because the staff and food were really good. Unfortunately we wont be staying there again.
Decent little hotel in a great location
Left with a chill on this occasion
Ive stayed at this hotel approx 15 times in the last 2 years and its usually first class with great staff. This time, I was staying for a function so needed to iron my shirt and get showered. My review and low rating on this occassion was because there was no iron in the room and the water in the shower was freezing cold. I did mention this as I was dashing out and was offered to swap rooms but i said it was pointless at that point. The staff are great as always and tge breakfast is superb but safly the hotel failed me when I needed it most.
Great location and warm staff
A lovely pub and great location. A little tricky to find car park, but the staff were very helpful and polite.
Lovely hotel and very well located. Staff were friendly and efficient. The pub below had a great range, standard pub grub.
Good position on King Street, and staff very helpful.
Business traveller 2 nights Good place to stay.
Staff very caring and cheerful Could not do enough for me on arrival ! Rooms were modern with good amenities Great location for other restaurants and drinking places should you wish to go ! Small car park at the rear but had no issues parking
Quick Sunday getaway . Staff lovely. Rooms clean and quiet. Fantastic breakfast
Middle of town
Stay somewhere else!
Dirty rooms, broken fittings, room not services, still waiting for the refunds we were promised.
Dirty and chaotic hotel
We were booked in for 3 nights. First room we were given was filthy and had numerous broken fittings such as shower and toilet flush. We were moved to another room that was marginally cleaner. We pointed out missing light bulbs and non working radiators but these were never fixed. They then forgot to clean that room. We were promised a refund but that has not been paid! Every time we complained the staff were very apolgetic...but after a catalogue of issues we just cant think of anything good to say. Very dissappointing.
Great pub and rooms are located in a quiet area so good sleep had every time! Right in the centre of Knutsford 4 minutes from the train station on Manchester, Stockport, Chester line!
Lovely central place to stay Free parking Big bedroom, big bed, great ‘in room’ facilities Delicious breakfast A very Warm welcome from Ben - nothing was too much trouble - he made it all feel seamless and great Thank you
Good location. Spacious room. Bathroom had very nice shampoo and shower gel. Room amenities good. Great breakfast.
Rooms are excellent and the bars is brilliant
Great stay and very friendly staff.
Perfect location right in the middle of knutsford. Very quiet!
Great little pub and hotel, will definitely be back for the decent ale and Guinness pints
Check in was slow, chef come out to assist and find a staff member. Room was large had everything we needed . window nets and curtains were very dirty. We stayed two nights food was lovely -especially breakfast plenty to choose from The chef was very helpful, he looked for staff to check us in, he was there when I checked out and very polite and checking everything was ok and if we needed anything. We would stay again, great location
Great location comfy large rooms
Good size room , very clean, top floor with stairs which I didn’t mind but wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with disabilities, check in very good asked if able to use stairs , very good , breakfast good but cheaper if booked with accommodation. Some noise from passing aircraft on top floor but not excessive. 10.00 pm closing pub which is a shame as I arrived late.’’
Could be a lot better!
Thought the quality of the breakfast was poor. Rooms could have been cleaned. Staff were not very enthusiastic
Lovely stay loved the room! Staff were friendly food was delicious.
Excellent.
Great service room was excellent and all round a brilliant stay.
Lovely rooms in Knutsford
Excellent rooms above a pub in centre of Knutsford
Lovely pub, room was very clean and comfortable, couldn't fault any aspect of our stay. Breakfast was spot on, 10/10. We would definitely stay here again.
Great position..easy parking close by..good breakfast
Cross Keys - Excellent
The hotel room was extremely clean, staff were extremely helpful and very accomodating. Breakfast was delicious.
Great Night Away
Great staff, fantastic food and a grwat nights sleep on a super comfy bed.
Noisy Rooms
Very noisy rooms. Banging noise in the pipes came on at 5am and then was off and on all morning, which was not good. Room was pretty dated, ok to crash in but nothing special. Don't think i would stay again Parking was difficult to find, google maps directs to the wrong place. So if you are going, it's on the last turning before you get back to the main road.
Lovely stay
We had a lovely stay. Superb central location. Free parking on site. Double room in main hotel was very spacious with the most comfy super king size bed. Big bathroom with bath/shower combo. Very clean. Good quality towels. Breakfast superb. Lynne is a fabulous host. Very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely stay again. Paula and Paul x
Night away for wedding bathroom ceiling needs some work but room clean. Breakfast not so good greasy only bacon good quality. Left most of it.
Perfect room for a Hobbit.
Last min booking for a business trip. Price was very competitive, so didn't expect much. Paid extra for breakfast, only to receive an email stating breakfast was served from 8am! (On a working weekday, this really should be from 6am.) Parking was full on arrival, no problem as plenty on the street till 8am. The Pub was lively as local football was on the TV. Was taken to the room and everything explained, which was great. The room itself was in the loft space and everything about it was just a little too small. Great if you are 5ft 8. but at 6ft 2, it dosent work. Single bed was too short, from my ankles, my legs stuck out. The duvet was just too small. It covers the bed (which was really nicely presented), however once in, it didn't cover the person fully. Woke up to find myself half uncovered on more than one occasion. The shower, which again was modern and looked lovely, only just fit me in. Try to wash your legs and the door is open! I'm not a fat lad, built definitely well built! For the bigger body, this room does not work. Did not hear any noise from the pub, which was great. However at around 10pm and again at 5.30am??? The bottle bin was emptied right below the room, which obviously woke me up. So to sum up, a lovely looking and well presented room, just don't book it if you are over 10 stone or 5ft 8 in height.
Convenient, great town
Great location and great pub/hotel. Really friendly staff. Good room that was well equipped. A little bit of noise from airplanes overhead but nothing property can do about that. Very heavy rain and water leak into kitchen meant we couldn't eat at property in the evening. Staff very apologetic.
Really great service! Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay there again when I next stay in Knutsford
Lovely spacious and well decorated room with comfortable bed (we stayed in a king room in the courtyard at the rear of the pub) Staff were very friendly and helpful Great location for visiting knutsford town centre and Tatton Park
Recommended
Lovely hotel in middle of the main street so very handy. Hotel was clean and we’d definitely stay there again.
Great service and great location
Great service and great location, Josh and the team were very accommodating, my only niggle was that breakfast didn't start until 0800hrs and I had to be on my way at 7.40am so it is moire suited to the leisure traveller.
2 night stay
The room was ok but breakfast wasn't good at all.
Home from home
I have stayed at this hotel before but not for a while. However it was nice when checking in that they remembered me and made me feel very welcome as always. Great room, fantastic bed and probably thecbest breakfast I've had in years.
Our little getaway
We enjoyed our stay very much even though it was just the one night. The staff were friendly and helpful and the neals were very good.It was quite a quirky hotel inside as it is pretty old but the fire doors were very prevelent as we climbed to the top floor. The outside terrace at the back was good and there were heaters over the tables in the area nearest the entrance at the back so we could sit outside comfortably even after the sun went down.
