It was very nice and relaxing it's what me and my family needed thanks again we will return
We really loved our mini suite at the Dunes location! It was perfect for everything we wanted to do. Lots of pools and hot tubs on site places that were walkable in the morning for coffee and food. The room was clean and looked like it has been remodeled. It was also very quiet during the week. Will definitely stay there again because of how convenient it was!
It was clean and very attentive
Facility was clean. Had to shoulder ram the door to get it to open. Overall not bad.
The property is an excellent option for families. The customer service was exceptional and the guest services were friendly. Papa’s restaurant had amazing breakfast! It’s a must try and the live music at Legend’s was nice. Overall another great spring break for the books. We enjoyed!
Great place
Excellent place to stay with kids
This property has 4 buildings. The pictures show the property of the main building. The Dunes building ia a smaller building across the street that is way older. Very misleading listing on travelocity.
Stayed in the Dunnes, looked recently updated. Beds not very comfortable. Clean, walk easy to Convention Center, plenty of restaurants and stores. Beach is right across the street with access to all Breakers resorts amenities
Worst experience! Booked this room after looking at the pictures online. Rooms were filthy with dust and debris on the floors. Bathroom was small and outdated. (Pictures shows an updated bathroom) poor lighting, dirty. Someone’s left over soap was in our bathroom. There were no dishes or utensils liked described in listing. Door to balcony was broke. Workers had to knock on our door to use the outlets in OUR ROOM to vacuum outside. Coffee pot was gross. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Great hotel on the beach. You can walk to places. They own three or four hotels beside one another
Paying for an ocean view that we had to view from the side of the building was unacceptable. We were never able to use the balcony because the sun never shines on the side of the building.
The whole room smelt moldy. We we reported it to the desk the same nigh. They said that they would send maintenance in the morning he came with cherry spray to spray carpeting That was it… they never offered another room or any kind of real solution. I ended up buying carpet fresh at Walmart to make our stay bearable.
the pictures that are on the Orbitz web site are showing the hot tub at the property next door. when i saw the hot tub at the breakers and questioned them about it they stated you can use the hot tub at the Marriot next door also . well the hot tub in the picture on Orbitz is that hot tub, well their is one problem it is dug up around it and they are working on it so in all the work we did to arrange this trip around a hot tub did not work. your is OUTSIDE
There was a roach in our room and the day of check out we were waking up by housekeeping at 8:42am she even opened the door while we were in bed. Check out was at 11am. So that was way to early for housekeeping to be at our door and opening the door was uncalled for…
Family Weekend get away
Had a great family weekend! Lots of things to do close by!
The hotel was wondering. It was very clean and spacious. I would stay there again.
Awesome "partial view" of the ocean!
We stayed in a "partial view" room which i waa not excited about until we arrived. I absolutely loved the layout of the room and i could atand in the shower and see straight thru the room to the ocean view! It was AWESOME!!! You had a view of the ocean no matter where you were in the room.
Quick family weekend getaway
Friendly and helpful staff!! We left an item and it was turned in so it could be returned which was awesome. Some rooms got a face lift but the beds, linens and pillows were subpar and uncomfortable. The rooms were better when they had a full fridge/freezer in kitchen vs mini. Waterslides were a hit, happy hr $5 margs were 👌
I made a 7 hour trip with a child to this property just to get there and be told that they didnt have my reservation. I showed him the emails to confirm that I did make the reservation. Then he said "Expedia keeps overbooking us. We dont have a room available for you. YOU will need to call them and let them know." Luckily it was February in a beach town and there was availability at other hotels. But I wasnt able to get the ocean front suite that I travelled 7 hours to enjoy. I book with Expedia often and have never had this experience. I fail to believe that this was an Expedia issue. As I was standing there at their desk being told I didnt have the room that I paid for panicking to find something else on my phone I saw that expedia still had the hotel listed with 3 rooms available. This is a big deal and needs to be fixed. Please call this hotel before you book through Expedia to confirm room availability. Ill never choose this hotel again. It is poorly ran and perhaps because of the ideal location on the beach, they dont care to improve the service. The front desk employee was kind and tried to keep me updated as he said his manager was trying to assign a canceled room to me. But the manager Brad came from the back and said they didnt have any rooms. Also parking to check in was confusing. There is a check in building with room for about 4 cars to stop and run in at a time. Other than that it seemed like you would have to pay to park just to check in. Never again
Stay was horrible. Rooms not clean, old furniture, stove broke coming from wall, a bad odor, never staying there again.
The staff was friendly and very helpful.y only complaint my room smelled like cigarette smoke.
Beautiful
I love it, the inside of the room was beautiful and looked different from the outside. It’s a hidden Gem when you open the room door. One of the need sheets did have old blood stains on it and the shower has sometimes else hair inside but other than that it was clean
Property was nice with easy parking across the street with restaurants on the ground floor of the parking garage. Staff was very friendly, explained the amenities (pool hours, water slide access, etc.). Room was clean and safe, with toiletries well stocked.
Clean room nice staff
Horrible
The Dunes was old outdated ghetto. Dark entrance and exit that was directly from outside. Luggage trolly wouldn’t fit into elevator or room door. The building should be condemned torn down.
Beautiful view, newly renovated. Comfy & clean with great location!
When i walked into the room, i fell in love with the scene. The atmosphere is calm and clean. Thanks so much
Great stay! Great area!
Right on the beach and had great restaurants
I called prior to booking to ask if the hot tubs were all functioning. They said yes. I arrived 2 days later and the hot tubs were both out of service and clearly had been for a long while. I don’t appreciate lying.
We got a 16 person suite! It was amazing! Plenty of room and clean! The staff was beyond helpful! We had a personal assistant that was always just a text away! We were able to walk to all attractions, nightlife, and food stores! It was a perfect location!!
Check in was easy and fast. The girl at the desk was very nice and helped us upgrade to a bigger room. We loved the 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit we had. It was updated nicely and clean. We needed a little extra time for checking out so they allowed us until 12, which helped so much. All around a very positive experience.
It was amazing.
Great location, very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.
Everything I have nothing bad to say about it
Staff very professional and pleasant.
The staff was wonderful and very helpful!
Stay was nice. No breakfast but across the street is Papas. Not really worth the 14.99 per buffet but it was ok for being right across the street. We stayed in the Palms building, wish it had a Jacuzzi but right next door are plenty more options. The room was the king spa. Only complaint is they need to clean the jets. Had to run it about 3 times to get some of the dirt out that kept coming out the jet. Otherwise the room was clean and nice. Will be back.
There was a bottle of Dr Pepper left from the guest or housekeeper before and bottle caps next to the bed. The coffee maker was also broken but they replaced that very fast
3 at best
I didn’t like how the three facilities are not connected and we didn’t have anything in our building. No main lobby…no access to food other than the vending machines. The view from our room was a 5 everyrhing else was 2.5 - 3
The trip and the hotel were great! Loved the resort and the staff. My 1 complaint is that when we arrived, our door was left open and our room was not prepared before we arrived. Beds weren’t made, shower curtain left on bed etc.
Good trip
Didn’t pick my resort but enjoy myself still had access to the other resorts
Decent resort with water activities, nice ocean front, quick check-in and service.
Great except no food room service and roof view of AC units can't give 5 stars. But good hotel
It was great
Very nice hotel with great walking distance to attractions
I booked a king spa suite and upon arriving that room was NOT available. They gave us an oceanfront king room instead. It was for my 27th Wedding Anniversary stay and to say the least I was disappointed to not get the room I booked on your site.
Christmas Vacation
Absolutely love our room. The entire unit updated furniture, appliances. Great location. This property has 4 separate buildings. Plenty of space. Now what I didn’t like was all TV was not smart, have to go outside to get to indoor door pool or water slide. The pool in my building was out of order. My family could not enjoy the balcony, it was small & shape oddly to the point we did not feel safe. The threshold was high (similar to stepping up on a curb) going out to the the balcony. If you had trip over it you were going straight over the balcony. They had a sign posted on sliding glass door. However still felt unsafe.
First of all,I did not get my choice of room at the resort that I paid for, instead of my king size room to rhe ocean front I got two small bed and a smelly smoke room I could slerp good one night becaue of rhis noisy resort,I for a payment credit back ro my account and your customer service gives me therun around so I will notify my bank to dispute this charges to my account since no one is giving me any answer to my request.
The overall stay was ok… wasn’t what I paid for or wanted
The indoor water facilities..
Beautifullly decorated, amazing ocean view
Beautifully decorated, gorgeous view of the ocean through floor to ceiling glass windows and sliding doors.
Hotel was clean and the guest service was nice. Hotel was short drive to airport and that was our reason to stay. The bathroom was clean and bright. The bad part was the bed was very hard and our neighbors were loud which we could hear them well through the walls.
All good
The rooms were cleaned but the hall way was very dirty and felt sketchy
Awesome location
Timmy makes great drinks
Horrible!! This is definitely a 1 star mini hotel!
I thought I had booked ocean front room and apparently didn't. They had none of the type of rooms I wanted and the room I was given was across the street and was an older place the Breakers had apparently taken over, and had not put much into it in the way of upgrading. It's a 2 star place at best. I booked an ocean front room at another hotel and let the room at the b
Is near to the beach
Nice size rooms and friendly staff
My family and I have made this our hotel to stay at when we’re at Myrtle Beach!
Upon arrival there were roaches dead and alive in our room. My daughters woke up screaming when we tried to make it work!! The Air Conditioner was locked and it was extremely hot in the room. Also, there was no ironing board as stated. They eventually switched our rooms. Now lugging everything at 2 am!! The next room was better even though the dishwasher didnt work!! The next day my children were harrassed by an old lady that they thought was a witch because of her demeanor. She stole my daughters phone while they were in the jacuzzi. They witnessed this lady walk around and pull the fire alarms. So they reported it to the guards walking around. Then we had to stand outside in 40 degree weather waiting for the fire dept to check everything. People were getting arrested; arguing and just GHETTO!! This was our Thanksgiving vacation and the WORST!! No discount; no apology; just a move to a different room.
One set of lights in the Breakers Mini Suite did not work and the microwave was not functioning. Sent a maintenance request with the front desk and was told that maintenance would correct the issues. Neither work order request was addressed/fixed. Front desk representative did offer to change rooms when we submitted the issues, but we opted to have maintenance address the issues. That never happened. I would not recommend staying in the Breakers Mini Suites.
Broken Elevator Beautiful Maintained Property
Elevator in sailfish building was run down and quit on Thursday for at least 3 hours during supper hour. When my husband reported the breakage he was told that they had requested a repair and he would get his exercise (8 floor- he has a heart condition). Interesting that I mentioned this on check in and they said they never have been a problem with the elevators. However, I mentioned because I had read about the elevators being broken all the time. We had to get maintenance 2 times to fix our safe. They were really nice and professional. The room was really nice (couch was a pull out and uncomfortable to watch tv but we used towels and pillows to help) an excellent view of the ocean. The pools and property was very well maintained.
Beautiful oceanfront property! It was a very effortless stay, staff was helpful, dining options associated with the Breakers were nice and convenient. Only 2 knock I have is initial check in can be a little confusing only because the 3 buildings on the beach are split up due to a Marriot in between and parking is a bit spread out but still close to the resort. All and all Great stay!
As they was very, very relaxing, the staff was very responsive to our knees. He had a remote control problem. They didn’t want immediately to replace the broken one was not working sent replacement quickly. We appreciate you all
Parking was terrible. Had to park so far and drag all our stuff. Too many cars in registration.
The personnel was excellent and the condo was very good
We had a two bedroom corner suite, and the pictures are exactly as shown. Very clean, spacious, nicely decorated. They have a free shuttle service to take you up the strip however very difficult to actually book a spot on it. Lots of dining and entertainment within walking distance. Pool and beach area were great.
The Breakers was a surprisingly nice hotel hidden amongst other properties. I would recommend.
carpet dirty, roaches in room
Our first family vacation is going off-season October 11 or two year-old third day is still wonderful. We didn’t get no effect from the hurricane that happened in Florida just Highwinds the day before we left Friday will be back. ASAP
All I can say is buyer beware! We have stayed at the breakers before and had no ideal what "breakers at the dunes" I only imagined, with the pictures of the rooms and due to past experience it would be fine. Yeah that is in no way as advertised. The rooms were disgusting, in a busted broken down building, parking was atrocious, and loud neighbors. The floor is of the rooms were disgusting, the bathroom was disgusting, and overall condition of the room was ran down. Of course the money breakers charged us for the room was "non-refundable", a company should have that policy if it is renting rooms like this. Save your money and time rent anywhere else.
Beautiful clean room. Enjoyed the location and being near everything
The new buildings were good but the old building across the street was just a dump.
Everything was excellent. I would suggest that a mattress topper be put on the king bed to increase comfort and sleep ability.
Woke up with roaches crawling on our faces 1 hour after falling asleep!!!
I loved the ease of access to the pools and beach, updated condos, was easy check in and out. Highly recommend!
Enjoyed our stay
Location location! Excellent resort with ton of entertainment and eating options. Breakers is my “go- to” resort in Myrtle Beach !
The property was kept up everyday by the hotel employees and it was very clean and relaxing
I love staying at the Breakers Resort when I'm vacationing in Myrtle Beach. Always safe, quiet, and clean.
i really enjoy my stay, staff was nice and property was clean. I loved that everything was walkable with many restaurant options. i would defiantly book another stay.
Hotel was simply OK. Everything was old, and clearly hasnt been updated in a long time. I didn't really care about that. It's a serviceable older resort which is fine, as the price reflected that. What wasn't fine was the table in our room immediately breaking (the whole front leg came off) and almost falling on our toddler who was sitting in a seat eating when she grabbed the table to see the next bite of food she was going to pick up. We reported to maintenance, two guys showed up in about 30 minutes and looked at the table and said "Yep, it's broke" and promptly carried the table and broken leg out of the room without another word. Did we get another table? Nope. Okay. Cool. Our room had the slightest sliver of view of the beach, which is fine. But this hotel is prime placement apparently for extremely loud motorcycles and cars blaring music as they sit at the light and then tear off past the many bars right across the street. Then there's the drunk people and homeless folks wandering and shouting in the streets through the night as well. Weed smell is also fairly consistent in the hallways and on the balcony. Overall, would not stay here again. Really could not sleep because the glass door was not thick enough to block any of the noise whatsoever. If you're coming to party at the bar and be loud all night and not sleep till like 2 am, this might be a great place for you. If you have kids and want some semblance of peace.... Keep looking.
Everthing other than the roaches were pretty nice.
Our room was in the Dunes. We weren’t aware that we’d be across the street from the hotel. The pictures we looked at online when booking, were definitely not the room we stayed in. The hotel location is very convenient and offers good amenities with the beach, restaurants, etc but our room was not what we expected at all.
Bathtub had hairs…. I’m sure they do some cleaning but, after pandemic, don’t we all expect everything to be really clean?
Staff were friendly. Hotel itself was okay. Just a lot of partying and people taking over the pool area. Also no staff monitoring pool area. Had guests smoking weed at the pool
Nothing special here decent place too easy for outsiders to w
Cannot say enough good things about the way we were treated at the Breakers. It was a wonderful experience. The communication between the front desk and maintenance was amazing. Thank you!!
When we checked in, we found out that our King Room with Spa was overbooked. Luckily, they upgraded us to a 3-bedroom suite in the Paradise Building, which included a Whirlpool in the Master bedroom. The room itself was incredible, beyond what we expected! However, we specifically booked The Breakers for the Whirlpool Jacuzzi experience, so it was really disappointing to discover that the jets hadn’t been properly cleaned. There were chunks of debris coming out, and it took me almost two hours to thoroughly clean the tub and jets before feeling comfortable enough to use it. I did reach out to ‘Ivy’ and shared photos, and while she offered to send housekeeping, I had already taken care of it by then. Just a heads up, during rain or busy times, the elevator and lobby floors can get really wet from swimmers. Overall though, we did enjoy our stay and will be back!
It was clean, staff was nice, & not far from a lot of places
Clean room. Staff was helpful. Perfect location and next to everything.
The customer service was terrible, the room smelled of mildew and was dirty. There were bugs in the kitchen and window seal. No paper towels, dirty flatware, only a half roll of toilet paper, no bed linens for the murphy bed. The pool area was dirty especially the indoor as there was a slimy film on top of the water. The front desk staff was extremely rude as well as housekeeping as we asked for batteries for the bedroom remote and they were extremely slow to respond and super rude. Someone around us was smoking pot so we could not open our balcony door as it just filled our room with smoke and smell and we had two young kids with us. Overall will never stay there again nor recommend it as this was an overall terrible stay. We travel to Myrtle Beach often as our daughter is in dance competition so we are there every few months. Wish I could get a refund as this was a waste.
It’s great for what it is. You really hear the loud cars on the road. But the room is clean, you get access to all of the pools and slide, and the price is pretty good
Nice place to stay
Check in and check out not so good, only one person at the counter checking in 4 buildings! waited 43 minutes to get checked in! Stayed in the Palms, room was clean, good view to ocean and pools. Not so good for room service, called for more towels, never answered, had to walk over to registration building to get towels every day, stayed 5 days! staff was nice once you found one! Would stay here again, just need to up the customer service end!
The only thing you ple hav told us about the 3location for the breaker site
