Nice people and pool. Short walk to the beach. A good value. We liked walking one block to the main drag to eat. Long Beach is our favorite on Koh Lanta. Prices were less resorts there.

It was mostly good. Fine bed and shower. My only issue was there was nowhere to sit, because for some reason we got the worst room. (The only one without a patio area). Near the beach.

Solid option close to beach

Large nice room, 10 minutes away from long beach. Beds comfortable and good facilities, could be a little cleaner but bedding, towels are clean. Staff helpful and friendly.

Wonderful weeks stay

My wife and I had a fantastic week here, the pool is beautiful and the beach is a short walk away. They don’t always clean your room but anything you need the front desk is more than happy to get for you. Staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant that’s attached to the hotel has great food at a decent price. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location -just a 2 minute walk to the beach! I liked staying here because it was comfortable, not expensive, and very close to the beach. Just FYI -my room was crowded, with not much room around the bed, the refrigerator very close to it, as well as the outdated dresser.

Better hotel choices in the area for the price.

I don’t think this hotel is reasonable value for the price. Reception was ok but the rest of the staff were very indifferent, almost miserable most of the time. Stayed 6 nights and don’t think the bathroom was cleaned once. The bed was too hard, and the shower difficult to control. The pool, which is actually part of a different hotel, is quite nice. Good thing, because it’s quite a hike to the beach.

Amazing staff!

Spent 4 wonderful nights at Tamarind. Staff are so polite and welcoming. Our room was a little small and the design a bit odd however over aspects of our stay made this not feel like a problem. Close to the beach. Has use of a really clean pool. The restaurant on site Is really good, cheap, big menu! You can book tours, hire bikes, they arranged our ferry back and taxi for us. I would definitely return. Amazing Value.

Lovely stay

A nice, small hotel with a decent pool, that got quote busy sometimes. 5 minute walk to the beach which was lovely but had no shade. The basic rooms were very basic but the staff was lovely and we were upgraded to the better rooms which were great. Spacious and comfortable. The restaurant on site was not quite up to the standards of the rest of the place. Would definitely stay again. Only flaw was that there was basically no water pressure in the showers, but I think that's fairly regular on koh Lanta. Lots of places to get food nearby.

You should probably stay here.

The people working there are so friendly and hard working, I like them a lot. They have a really sweet ginger cat that hangs out near the pool, I can vouch for both the cat and the pool. The room itself was clean with a decent tv, fridge and kettle. Water was replaced with housekeeping, nice touch. The beach is only a few minutes walk down a shaded path. Fantastic value overall, being not much more expensive than a hostel.

Clean budget hotel a few minutes walk to the beach

The room was clean and the pool (shared with the Peaceful Resort) is pretty nice. There's an alley to the beach that's a 5 minute walk. It's convenient but unlit so kind of scary at night. The hotel is probably a little overpriced but not too bad compared to other resorts along Long beach. The scooter rentals, tours, and transfers/bus tickets that they sell at the 'front desk' are really overpriced. Go to the small restaurant across the main street for better prices or go into town to save even more.

Lovely hotel

The service was great and we were happy to hear we were upgraded on arrival. The pool was 30 seconds walk away, and the beach was a few minutes away. Plenty of restaurants around and quite a few on the beach too. Our bed was huge too! Great value for money.

Great location to the beach and friendly staff

Very friendly hotel and people are amazing. Great location - very close to Long Beach and a few shops (if you need to go to a Mini Mart or buy a few things from a convenience store. The massage you have to pay extra for, but Bau (the massage man) - is amazing and can heal your body aches!

This is not a resort

Upon arrival, we couldn't find reception, perhaps because it doesn't exist. The "resort" as it calls itself is simply consists of a block of rooms. Directly next to this, is another resort ("Peaceful Resort"). We had to check in at their reception which was very confusing, and we soon realised that the pool pictured on hotels.com was actually the one in the next resort. Not sure if it had been taken over, but it is not a resort! If you want to stay, just book at the Peaceful Resort. It was very disappointing as we didn't feel comfortable. We felt neglected as no one cleaned our room until the third day. We had to ask for clean towels which were very old and a horrible brown colour. Staff were very unhelpful and reception was empty 90% of the time. We had bought instant noodles for tea, we found our kettle was broken, the young man outside reception told us to "come back tomorrow morning" - wonderful. However the pool was nice and the room was a good size. Not a good location if you don't have a scooter or car, you will need a taxi everywhere! Hotels.com should review this place, it is certainly not a resort!

Ok

Clean, spacious room. No wifi though since our room was the last one. We stayed there for 2 days, the resort located lil but far from the beach, I would recommend bungalows that located right on the beach.

A sleeper

Tucked back off the road, down a lane that looks questionable, sits the Tamarind Twin. It is a small (8 room) property next door to a larger "resort." The rooms at the Tamarind are larger than the resort's and much newer. The rooms are neat and tidy. They have everything you need, but nothing more. There is hot water in the shower, though not a lot of flow. The only real short-coming is the reception staff. They are sort of "meh, so what." Check in was iffy and check out was even iffier. I wasn't sure they were expecting me until I looked at their primitive check in sheet and found my name for them. On checking out, they weren't sure if I had pre-paid or not. (I had) But other than that, I was happy with the place. There is food available nearby if you are brave enough to walk around and find it. The 40 baht per kilo laundry service is a plus. There is no included breakfast and that is the biggest hurdle.

Great Hotel

Rooms are clean and modern. Short walk to the beach and use of the Peaceful Resort's swimming pool. Really enjoyed our stay here and didn't want to leave.

Good Potential, Great Value

In a way, this hotel is an extension of Peaceful Resort. Tamarind Twin is right next to (or behind) it, so there's not much of a view to be had from the balconies. Both resorts share the same amenities: 2 entrances, a reception, and a newly renovated swimming pool. The pool is a decent size with several deck chairs around so it's a nice alternative to the beach. Near the pool is a little hut which is occupied by possibly the best masseur in the province, Mr Noppadol. We went on the 4 Island tour and had an adventurous boat ride in a storm, so the next day my partner woke up with a stiff back; he fixed the problem in just half an hour! Unlike regular masseurs, he uses a combination of Chinese accupressure with Thai massage techniques. Highly recommended :) The room was clean and furnitures are new, but we had a couple of tiles which came loose so there's a danger of tripping or getting injured. As with many Thai hotels the mattress is firm. The toilet is separated from the shower by a partition, but tiles are rather slippery. Hair dryer, jug kettle, cups and kitchen sink provided. Towels are replaced daily. In-house dining is not available but a local restaurant is just across the road. Alternatively, a 10 min walk up the road brings you to the backpacker area and a good selection of restaurants. Minimart is 5 mins down the road. The resort is owned by a local family, staff are polite and always smilling. Overall it was a pleasant experience and great value for the money.

After koh phi phi we loved the size and cleanliness of the room. 3 minute walk to the beach, use of the swimming pool for free, free water and coffee. we booked for 3 nights initially and stayed alot longer

Nice hotel near the beach!

Loved it here! Friendly staff that really wants to be helpful all of the time. Some of them aren't so good at English but it doesn't matter cuz they're doing their best and calls other staff that can speak English if it gets to complicated 😊 nice, clean and big room!

Ok vistelse

Det var helt ok standard. Frukosten fick man levererat till rummet men det var ingen bra frukost.

Helt okej

Helt ok rum för det priset och relativt bra läge. Endast en person i hela personalen (som bara var där halva dagen) kunde engelska, därav var det svårt att kommunicera med övrig personal. All personal utöver den engelsktalande var inte jätte trevliga men hon vägde upp! Frukosten var inte alls bra, fick fel, fel tid och det kändes ofräscht. Dock mysigt med tanken att det serveras på balkongen.

Fantastiskt boende

Andra gången jag bor på detta underbara hotell. Personalen är så himla trevliga och hjälper en med allt man kan tänkas behöva ha hjälp med. Närheten till Long Beach men ändå att man bor avskilt från stranden och den stora trafikerade vägen gör detta boende helt perfekt.

Bokat 2 nätter, stannade 6. Mycket trevligt ställe. Bra service. 400m till Long Beach. Stora välstädade rum. Massor med restauranger på stranden i solnedgången.

Henkilökunta aivan uskomattoman avuliaita ja ystävällistä. Huone oli vaatimaton mutta kun siihen oli varautunut etukäteen ei tullut yllätyksenä. Itse olen valmis menemään uudestaan.

Nice hotel

We stayed there for one night only, because the were fully booked, but the hotel was very nice. Clean room, nice pool, and freindly staff :) The location could be better, its quit a walking distance to shops and resturants.

Nice hotel, too fast away from beach

Nice hotel work a nice pool. Unfortunately no restaurant or mini market, and a bit far away from the beach. Especially because the road to the beach is a bit dull after dusk...

Fint och prisvärt hotell

+ Vänlig och hjälpsam personal + Familjär stämning + Bra sängar + Wi-fi + Bra och billig mat i närheten + Mycket bra läge, nära stranden + Fin pool + Massage, hotellets massör rekommenderas varmt - Städning av rummet kunde varit bättre, fick påminna om städning några dagar. - Ödla på rummet några av dagarna - Myror vid golv/fönstret, de tog hand om detta efter påtalande Byt ut städerskan så blir det 5 av 5. Sammanfattningsvis ett väldigt fint och trevligt hotell som vi rekommenderar.

Accueillant, les chambres très propre, un personnel à l’écoute. Un masseur hors pair !! Proche de tout . Très bon rapport qualité prix .

Tamarind? Besser nicht..

Sorry, aber das war der totale Reinfall. Gebucht wurde ein Superior Zimmer...laut Fotos mit neuen Möbeln...bekommen haben wir ein "Deluxe Zimmer mit uralten Mobiliar, defekter Klimaanlage, defekter Dusche aus der nur Wasser tropfte, verstopftem Waschbecken, Kühlschrank mit Wasserlache davor, flackernde/defekte Innenraumbeleuchtung des Zimmers. Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr nett aber dadurch dass das Hotel voll war blieb nur das Telefonat mit der Chefin. Diese erklärte uns, wenn uns das Zimmer nicht passt, können wir ja ausziehen. Klasse..Geld war vorab bezahlt und Hotel laut Buchung nicht stornierbar. Und dann kurz vor Weihnachten was angemessenes kurzfristig finden? Nachdem ich ihr erklärt hatte das ein Vertrag keine einseitige Willenserklärung ist sondern auch sie Pflichten hat, wurden wir am zweiten Tag abends in das Nachbarhotel umquartiert (Zwei Tage verloren). Eine Mail an Hotel.com wurde nicht beantwortet...schade..von uns aus können wir das Tamaind auf keinen fall empfehlen aufgrund des katastrophalen Zustandes.

Wieder überaus zufrieden

Wie beim letzten Aufenthalt waren wir wieder sehr zufrieden! Rezeption absolut unvergleichlich gut, mit Vorschlägen für Aktivitäten, ohne dabei etwas verkaufen zu wollen und diese Freundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit haben wir noch nirgends erlebt. Einzig dem Zimmerservice muss man einfach sagen, was zu tun ist (Bettwäsche wechseln), wird dann aber auch erledigt. Hotel ist bedenkenlos für Kurzaufenthalt oder auch für eine Woche zu empfehlen.

Erityiskiitoksen saa ystävällinen ja palvelualtis henkilöstö. Myös paikan hieroja oli ammattitaitoinen ja sai mun ongelmaselän kuntoon. Sijainti ok pääväylä varrella ja riittävän lähellä rantaa. Hinta laatusuhde kohdillaan.

Positive experience

We were 4 girls and shared a nice and spacious room with a veranda. The pool is great, can get somewhat crowded with occupied sunbeds as a result, but it is walking distance to the beach. The beach is really nice, big and wide, with both cheaper and more expensive restaurants. Great sunsets! A tuc tuc to the town/pier took about 10 min for 50bht per person. We really enjoyed our stay. There wasn't super-many tourists when we were there and it was nice and cosy around the hotel, pool and by the beach, a relaxing place.

Bra men dålig städning

Rummet i sig var fint. Badrummet var lite ålderdomligare men funkar. Grannhotellet har en stor pool med många solsängar man får använda vilket är ett plus. Stor kyl på rummet, rymlig balkong och bra ac. Ligger ca 300 m från stranden men gör absolut ingenting, enda att tänka på är att gången ner dit blir kolsvart när det är mörkt ute då ingen gatubelysning finns (lite obehagligt). Det samt att städservicen inte var den bästa är det vi har att klaga på; efter första natten hängde vi upp make up room-skylten - när vi kom tillbaka hade de bara lagt iordning täcket i sängen samt gett två vattenflaskor. Prydnadskuddarna låg fortfarande på golvet, sand och hår var kvar på golvet och soporna var inte tömda. Andra, tredje och fjärde dagen fick vi inte ens rummet städat trots att vi hängde upp lappen... De hade ju säkert tagit hand om det om man hade sagt till men vi struntade i det. Annaes bra hotell!

Top Preis - Leistung

5 Nächte gebucht und 6 Nächte verlängert, das sagt alles. 200m zur Straße, daher ruhig und 400 m zum beach, top! In der Umgebung gibt es genügend Restaurants und Minimärkte. 7/11 ist jedoch zum laufen zu weit, aber Roller gibts gegenüber der Straße. Pool wird jeden Tag gereinigt, 2 Angestellte sind nur für den schönen Garten zuständig.

Bra hotell men bra service

Vi skulle stanna i 5 nätter men det slutade med 2 veckor. Fräscht hotell med rena rum och mysiga balkonger, där du får en ok frukost serverad på morgonen. Bra pool och nära till Long Beach, hyra moppe rekommenderas dock då butiker osv ligger en bit ifrån, men det hyr de ut på hotellet! Superbra service med väldigt gullig personal i receptionen. Gjorde alltid det där lilla extra! Tex hjälpte till och skjutsade till sjukhus och ställde upp på morgonen och körde oss till flygplatsen för en peng. Vi är mycket nöjda!

Daleko od plaży, w okolicy nie ma żadnego sklepu, do najbliższego trzeba jechać tuk-tukiem.Kolację można zjeść na plaży ale powrót jest już utrudniony bo droga do hotelu jest nie oświetlona. Nie polecam i dziwię się tak dobrym opiniom.

Mycket trevligt, nytt, fräscht. Ett par minuters promenad till stranden, tyst och lugnt läge. Tråkig frukost, men i övrigt mycket prisvärt! Supertrevlig personal.

Bra och fräscht hotell

Jag och min kompis bodde 3 nätter på detta hotell. Allt var fräscht och receptionisten är hur gullig som helst och hjälper en med allt. Man har tillgång till en pool som tillhör hotellet bredvid. 5 min till stranden Long beach och ca 10 min för mat som finns på stranden. Finns inte så mycket att göra i området men man kan enkelt hyra moped och åka runt med. Rummen har även egen balkong vilket är väldigt skönt.

Good WiFi, no service

Booked/payed a triple room for 3 adults, at arrival they seriously tried to make us all 3 share one double bed! After a long argumentation they came with a roll-away. Virtually no service at all at the hotel, good WiFi and a descent pool at the nearby hotel saves part of it.

Kleine anlage mit sehr freundlichen personal

Ganz frisch renoviertes zimmer. Ca 500m vom beach weg, aber egal da man man mim roller eh überall ganz schnell sein kann. Lage ist perfekt, da nicht ganau im zentrum sladan, aber auch nich zu weit weg, so dass man mal eben mim roller zum abendessen fahrn kann. Roller sind gleich am hotel oder wer auto/ Motorrad will, gleich gegen über zu mieten. Und super nettes Personal, dass eim das kleine, aber ausreichende Frühstück ans zimmer bringt. Dazu dann am besten ein ice coffee vom straßenverkauf 😁👍

Mycket prisvärt, nybyggt hotell

Tamarind ligger vid ett annat hotellkomplex och har samma reception (supertrevlig och hjälpsam personal!) och man har även tillgång till deras pool. Hotellet är nybyggt och är således mycket fräscht. Rummet var stort med tillhörande balkong/terrass. Ca 5 minuters promenad till stranden (Long beach). Läget är lite off men det är jättebilligt att ta en tuk-tuk till Sala dan som är "staden" med lite mer liv och rörelse och restauranger. Har ni tid och möjlighet, ta en båttur till Koh Rok - två fantastiska öar! Om jag återvänder till Koh Lanta kan jag absolut tänka mig att bo här igen!

Lovely stay at Tamarind twin!

Tamarind Twin was really nice experience in Ko Lanta. Room was big and clean, just as in the pictures. There is fridge, kettle and separate dressing table. Bed was comfy. Cleaning the room daily and complimentary water. Tamarind is located on the "backyard" of Peaceful resort. They have shared reception and pool. There is no eating possibilities at the resort so you have to walk 5-10min along the beach or main road to find restaurant. (You have to walk approx 300-400m to get the beach) You can rent a motorbike from the resort so moving around the island is very easy. Definitely recommend.

Nette Zimmer in ruhiger Umgebung

Das Hotel liegt zwischen Straße (50 Meter) und Strand (50 Meter). Zum Strand läuft man zwischen zwei Mauern (links großes Resort und rechts einem verlassenen Grundstück) eine schmale Straße entlang. Die Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt und es gab täglich frische Handtücher und 2 kleine Wasserflaschen. Ein Kühlschrank und ein Wasserkocher, sowie ein Föhn waren vorhanden. Man darf den Pool vom Peaceful Resort (Schwesterhotel) mitbenutzten. Es gibt ausreichend Bars, Restaurants und Minimärkte in der Nähe, der nächste 7-eleven ist zu Fuss aber 20 Min entfernt.

Nybyggt hotell, rent och frächt. Bra pool. Några minuter till strand och restauranger/minimarket.

Litet fint hotell

Tamarind är ett litet nybyggt hotell med 8 rum som ligger granne med ett lite större hotell som heter Peaceful Resort. Vi bokade två dubbelrum på ovanvåningen, och hade en balkong mellan rummen där vi kunde gå. Rummen var fräscha och rena med bra AC. Köp inte till frukost, det finns ingen restaurang i närheten, man får skjuts till en strandbar och kuponger till frukost. Rummet har vattenkokare och kylskåp, så det går att fixa en enkel egen frukost om man vill. Det tar 3-5 minuter att gå ner till stranden. Det finns också bra restauranger längs med stranden, ca 10 minuters promenad. Grannhotellets pool kan man använda, den är helt ok. Receptionen hjälper till med bokningar mm, allt funkade bra. För första gången i Thailand hade vi bra och snabb WiFi.

Bästa budgethotellet på Koh lipe

Bästa läget på Koh Lipe om man vill ha nära till allt! Hotellet ligger mitt på Walking street och 3-4 min ifrån Pattaya beach. Personalen är rätt dåliga på engelska men mycket hjälpsamma och serviceinriktade. Rummen är rätt små men ok fräscha!

近海滩，大泳池，环境美，有猫咪

应该是新开的因为设施环境都是很棒的，游泳池很有创意。我是住一楼的有阶梯小阳台，每天晚上都坐在那吃东西很舒心。一条小路能直通海滩日落最美的观景处，到晚上海滩一旁的酒吧亮灯，跟海浪声一起也很美妙。外面公路对面的小饭店也很好！！！
