Place is dated. I booked two queens but all they had were doubles.
What a shock, a beachside location that's actually near the beach. And how convenient that the cool weather kept all the crowds away.
Staff was nice, pillows were horrible
There should be not be an offer for late checkout if it is not given at this location. Bed sheets were ripped & had holes.
The hotel was very cheap. You get what you pay for. A lot of homeless people around. The bed sheets had cigarette burns. I took my 8 year old with me. Not recommended for familys.
Never again.
Absolutely horrifying. Unclean, unsafe and would not recommend.
There was no hot or even warm water when I went to take a shower. I let it warm up for around 10 minutes and it was still ice cold. There were also 20 or so gang members near the gas station across the street.
Very unsafe area, absolutely not for families. There are no non-smoking rooms, bedsheets and covers had holes from cigarette burns, plus bedsheets were stained with unmentionables.
Good place
Run
Do not fool yourself with the images. Do not stay here. If you want to be surrounded by prostitutes and junkies, this might be ypur spot.
Bedding
I think they just need a different style of covers for their beds. The one they have now feels like a set of curtains.
Better options to stay at!!
I was given a room around others who were clearly partying. As a solo traveler it would had been nice to had been given a quiet room being that the hotel was half full. Didn’t get much sleep because of it and people were hanging around my car setting off my alarm multiple times. Im sure the cost of a security equals the cost of 2 nights stay. The ac/heating unit had didn’t have any buttons so after guessing which was ac and heat i gave up and just shut the unit off. There was no insulation on the door so you can literally hear every single car passing by and people walking in front of the room. Pillows were so flat i actually went to store and bought a cushion to sleep with and accidentally left it in the room when I left so lost an additional $30 dollars. Not the best experience and now i have to get back on the road tired from lack of sleep.
Good
Awful
I booked this as I was driving into town and thought a Super 8 couldn’t be too bad. WOW was I wrong. This place is a garbage dump. Dirty, nasty. Hookers roaming by the parking lot,a tweaking dude passing a small folded dollar bill to the lady working there right in front of me. Wouldn’t recommend if it were free.
Just okay
As bad as it can get
Horrible neighborhood, many abandoned cars in Lot. Room unsecure with faulty lock system
The whole hotel was in a compound, check in there was 2 armed guards
Very sketchy!
We showed up and the place was very sketchy and in a bad part of town with a huge homeless problem! We didn’t feel safe at all and ended up paying for another room in a different hotel for the night. The lady at the front desk (which was fully enclosed behind safety glass) was understanding and canceled our reservation but it does not seem to be possible to get a refund since we booked through Hotels.com.
Caution
Went from Bed Bugs in one room to Roaches in the next. The location is god awful the neighborhood is dangerous and dirty.
I had booked a nonsmoking room due to being sensitive to smoke. It made no difference as there was a diving door where the smoke all came through anyway. I had let the office know and asked if we could be moved and they said no. On top of that, this place is infested with roaches. There is activity nonstop, there was actually a whole fleet of cops who showed up when we were checking in. Supposedly I was going to be reimbursed for one night which never happened so on top of everything, they will lie to you, too.
The property is in the absolute most dangerous street in phoenix. Uber drivers did not want to come to the area to pick us up. Street people doing drugs in parking lot and laying by our car. Didn’t stay more than an hour and we left. Too dangerous
Good low budget room. The front desk staff was helpful.
First negative review in dozens of hotel stays.
I have never left a negative review for a hotel, ever. Im just not that picky. But here, we dealt with loud noises outside, traffic and trains. The beds were horrid, one having holes in the blanket. The room smelled of smoke and the next day im finding new bug bites on my body. Ive counted 7 so far. The pillows might just barely meet the definition, maybe.Door locked and closed, still felt cold air draft in. If you hate sleep and your health, book a room.
Disappointing experience
Toilet seat wasn’t clean specially the seat and the lid had stains , very low water pressure in sinks and shower, bed sheet has stains also mattress has yellow marks and there was no comforter or blanket ,only single sheet to sleep with , tried to call help service but no one answered , but next day we asked for blanket so they gave us one thin blanket which helped . Bed made sharp sounds with movement. The whole neighbourhood looks shady, good part was the rooms were under gated setting so we need to insert our room keys to enter room sides and to park our cars which is good . Overall very dismantling experience , super 8 has some good hotels in different cities but this one was way below its rating
Roaches
ROACHES EVERY WHERE
Great customer service
Great service
Na
Great place
This property it’s dirty and stink. It was not blanket on the bed and the sheets were dirty. Everything looks old and broken. The area is full of homeless.
DO NOT STAY HERE. Bed was dirty. Door didn’t close properly. Women of the night and sketchy behavior in the parking lot. We were only there a hour before checking out and staying at a nicer place
see above
Worst hotel ever.
This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed at. The front desk was horrible the security was horrible. I booked a hotel for me and my kids and my friend and her kid and her childs father. as we we already going through alot and needed a place to stay. First they booked our rooms 5 doors down from eachother. A friend came to check up on us and was there maybe 10 minutes brought some food for our children. The following morning . Security woke my children up banging on the door accusing us of prostitution. When i asked why they would ever think that they looked at me with disgust . I have never felt more disgusted in my life . This is my first time being or staying in glendale and i am absolutely appalled at the accusations . After praying about it i decided to share my experience. Please do not book this hotel. Am extremely disappointed in the service at this hotel . I will not be back

Do not recommend
I found a cockroach
They rooms were clean an had security on property
I did not enjoy staying there
the rooms smell bad and the blankets burned and full of ears
The door locks need to be checked.
Not a good Experience quite frankly
Unsafe place
It’s so much I can say about this hotel! it’s very loud , rooms STINK! They took $150 off my card & wouldn’t refund me! A lot of prostitution there. I wish I would’ve did research before I booked !
It was comfortable, I was satisfied
The room was unclean and the property felt unsafe. Couldn't stay for all the days I had booked.
Security was on point. Property kept well and clean
Friendly staff and privacy
The staffs are so amazing. They are kind and helpful. The room is clean and they make sure that they clean it everyday. I niticed that the beddings have cigarette holes. The location is kinda sketchy though. The road leading to the hiotel is not well-lit. I don’t recommend it to solo female travellers.
The security guard harassed us most of the night. Kept saying there were people in our room that were not checked in when everyone was checked in. The microwave did not work the shower leaked all over bathroom floor. The ice machine and vending machine did not work. The neighborhood was too unsafe to walk to the gas station on the corner. I was highly disappointed
Ellyssia
Staff is very friendly, there are always 4 main workers in the front lobby at register and they are always very friendly, prompt and willing to go above and beyond to accommodate their guests
Good
Risky like hell.
I like it
I liked it
My "non-smoking" room smelled like a lit cigarette!
Less expensive motel not too shabby
For the price you can't go wrong... The motel is in the process of renovating their rooms & I think they are doing just a fab job at it.
Don’t stay here
Everyone that works there everyone is rude the front desk the managers the cleaning staff everybody had a mood
The front desk staff were not personable at all. After walking into the room there was a very strong smell of weed. I went back to the front desk to see if they could transfer me to another room or get a refund. They said there were no available rooms and that security would have to go up to the room to see if I was eligible for a refund. That was fine with me and I said I was going to call my girlfriend who was in the room at the time and let her know someone was coming up. After not getting a refund and leaving, my girlfriend told me that security walked into the room with no warning. No knock, nothing. They barely inspected the room, and treated my girlfriend like she was an animal. Never going back to this hotel.
Horrible place to stay
Staff were complete pricks
Room is very gloomy , I reserved a non smoking but I got a very bad smell smoked room with extra insects Sheets are burned with cigarettes never gonna book this type of hotel. Not worth my money
Not worth the price
It was quiet - the staff was pleasant. They cleaned the room. It’s not the Ritz but there was a night guard so felt very safe as a single person.
Could be better
Tv didnt work, tollet chain in tank came off
Dont stay
I checked out the first night, local crack den, filthy, no wifi, blocked sink and no response from Hotels.com The clerk said it was noted I checked out the first night. Im hoping I dont have to contact CC comp to straighten this oit
Nope.
Non smoke my ass!!!! Smoke smell everywhere. There was a cigarette down the sink. Mold in the bathtub. Holes on the cover. Looked like the door wouldn’t lock all the way. Cops everywhere. Will never go back.
The room came with crawling guests.... There was roaches and room had really strong cigarette scent although it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Immediately went back to the lobby and requested a refund, called expedia which was the site I had booked the room with and explained what had happened, requested refund, and was refunded within a couple of days.
Check in was easy.
.
We felt like we were in a bad movie. Holes in the blinds, holes in the sheets and blanket, and in a sketchy area. Both beds were up against the wall, so if two people are sleeping in the bed, one person has to work their way down to the end of the bed to get out…it was a trashy hotel. The pictures are deceiving. Nothing has been maintained. Wyndham needs to evaluate this property as their name is tagged to it. We will not stay at another Wyndham property based on this hotel.
You get what you pay for when choosing a cheap(ish) place to stay, and in this case.... it's a handful of not so lovely things. Staff at the lobby was a bit rude when I checked in. He wasn't very good at communicating where my room was and I was left trudging around outside in the rain with multiple suitcases trying to find it. It took the security man to come find me and assist me to be able to find it, since signage isn't very clear. I was NOT told about the room key being used as a means to unlock the gates, leaving me confused and the guard had to help me because one of the card readers stopped working. Narrow walkways, gate shuts on you and is hard to keep open when unlocked, outdoor draining areas leave several slip hazards when it's drizzly ..most things are NOT ADA compliant. Room wasn't great, either. Stains and filth on the creaky floor, stains and holes in the bedsheets and stains on the toilet seat. I saw a few roaches over the course of my short stay, including the biggest one I've ever seen in my life. Water pressure in the shower is poor but water pressure in the sink is too strong. Bathroom floor got flooded a bit each time I showered. Bed was very uncomfortable and I had to shove my body hard against the door to properly close and lock it once inside the room. It's a hassle to order food to be sent here because unless you are in a room facing the lobby, it can't be delivered past the gates and you have to walk to the lobby and deal with staff to get it.
Disgusting of a hotel!
Beds what sheets with a stain, there was mold in the restroom and a mildew smell radiating all throughout the room. Left there as soon as possible and booked a room else where. Notified the front office that I left and due to its disgusting placement of the room. Ask for a refund and they said they were going to give it to me only to discover they they told the booking agency no. Reason was cause I notified them an hour after I checked in which was a lie and provided and screenshot of my calls to the office. There was to resolution with the hotel what so ever.

To begin with, the location of the hotel is in what locals consider an unsafe area. This is obviously not suggested anywhere on the site; however, travelers would have no idea. Upon check-in, the clerk asked for ID from myself and and my daughter, age 12. Once in the room, the door didn’t close all the way, only kept shut by the lock, but the entire frame flexed when under any pressure from the outside. The side and edge of the tub was scared with what appeared to be cigarette burnes and the sink faucet was so loose it moved up and down and side to side. The chair to the desk was dirty and the outlets near the desk were blocked off. Only one outlet in the room near the bed. The bed cover looked dirty, stained and ripped. I quickly decided not to stay and asked for a refund which was denied because we were there for more than 30 minutes. Makes me question the type of establishment.
I e stayed at this property several times and the staff has always been excellent. But maintenance efforts appear desperate in some rooms and the cable TV system doesn't provide reliable picture quality. Network issues abound.
All the floors around the bed were dirty. All the bedding had cigarette burns. Bathroom was clean though
It was horrible! Would not recommend it to anyone. We actually went somewhere else it was so dirty.
Property had roaches in the room, , unsafe area, when checking in i gave required information to get the room... when husband arrived he was required to show ID b4 entering my room.
The non-smoking room I stayed in smelled like an ashtray. In other words the smoke was more permeated in to what was inside. The water in the sink sprayed everywhere when it came out. The property in my opinion should not be a hotel especially for the area it's in. When I asked to get my money back for two of the three nights I had reserved since I only was going to stay one night they told me they would refund me for two of the nights. The refund hasn't made it yet but there's still a couple more days left for that to occur. I appreciate them working with me on that.
This place was horrible from the arrival . Terrible lobby service. upon arrival the area right away felt unsafe with a lot of homeless in the area and people around the hotel doing drugs and drinking. having a family this felt very unsafe, but it was too late to cancel. Upon entry into the room, it smelled very bad and not clean at all, including the floors, the restroom and the bed as well. The bed was very dirty, and it looked like they hadn’t been cleaned well. Will definitely never stay at this place again
Stinks and no cable tv
Do not stay here, this is not a safe area. We heard explosions nearby throughout the night. The hotel is dirty and does not feel safe. The pool is also covered and closed.
Very dirty
The overall room and smell it had
Every guest in a room must check-in at the recepti
They require every guest in a room (!) to check-in with their ID. Registration form you sign during checkin they have right to evict. No privacy.
Do be advised that prostitution is very real on this property. But. They do have armed security at the property around the clock. All in all…. It’s a motel..you get what you pay for and nothing more. The staff are very much the best thing about this property. The front desk clerk, the young male with glasses is the sweetest. And the housekeeping ladies are very polite.
A bad experience
A long trip then a 20 minute check in where two other couples opted not to stay based on first impressions. Room smelt of smoking borne out by two cigarette butts stuffed in the wash basin outlet (which we removed using long tweezers).Room was ill equipped - no bedside light, no coffee, no hair dryer, ripped bottom sheet (replaced for second night). Air conditioning unit functions but has broken and cracked surround with parts missing. General facilities - coffee only available in morning, no breakfast, no ice, Had to have room card key reset every day - yet permitted us to enter through the security gates. A very rough neighbourhood with many people pushing shopping trolleys around with all their wordily possessions. Reading previous reviews we had hoped they had exaggerated the state of the hotel but sadly we were in agreement with them.
Phoenix stay
Motel is conveniently located off the 17, on the way to Sedona/Flagstaff. However, was a bit sketchy. Service team was not rude but indifferent and uninterested in service. I requested a non-smoking and got a room that wreaked of cigarettes. When I mentioned this at the front desk they insisted it was non-smoking. Safety was a concern too.
Bad, scary area, cigarette burn holes in the bead spread, burn marks on side of tub, stinks. Supposed to be non-smoking room.
Sketchy area. Beds uncomfortable, pillows small and lumpy. Sheets burned, area sucks and room noisey
Roaches everywhere
I wasn't able to watch television no signal
As soon as I walked in the bathroom noticed one cockroach crawling on the floor and killed it. Faucet was not working properly. There was only one pillow for each of us. There was a Loud talking about 1:00 AM outside that we could hear it. Also, when we checked in and wanted to go to our room security guard was present and my wife asked about the area and was told that this area is full of drug users and prostitution so, we requested to be escorted. I would not recommend this establishment for the couple. It’s probably Good for the others,
The rooms were bad TVs didn't work towels were dirty the security there thinks they're WWF wrestlers and just talk really crappy to you get your face yelling at you they'll put their hands on you if you're not careful be careful I had one throw me on the ground that place is drug infested it's nasty it's just ugly property it's bad people really really bad don't go there
Couldn’t pay me to stay here
Bad location and room was dirty and had roaches. The TV was also broken. I left.
Left without staying, area was poorly lit, covered in broken glass, and full of people wandering around soliciting.
This place had nothing going for it. Rude customer service, burn holes in bedding, noisy, dirty, internet pass code didn't work. One of the worst - if not, the worst - motels I've seen.

Unreal. This is like your absolute worst nightmare come to life as a motel. It is utterly unbelievable that a place like this actually exists. Normally, you see something like this in the movies and not in real life. Shame on Expedia, shame, shame for even listing this property on your service. I am actually considering never using your service again, simply because of this listing. It is in your best interest to take it down and never list it again. The place should be condemned. It is a blight on the Phoenix skyline.
