Great comfort and location for solo traveller

The room which was provided was a budget room, facilities were ok. There was no water heater, which was a basic requirement in a hotel room. Breakfast was ok as it was provided in limited quantities. Parking is a big issue. If you go for paid parking, they charge on an hourly basis. You will feel that you are staying in a budget hotel. If we ask for a service, the reception will say you are in a budget hotel. Overall of to stay if you are staying for 01 or 02 days.

The manager and staff were extremely helpful with walking to the places we wanted to go. Also very helpful with arranging a ride back to the airport. This place was very simple, yet it is a hostel. And the room was very clean. There were construction materials sitting around near the entrance which could be picked up,the staff was so excellent though, I didn't mind. It was very comfortable and homey. The breakfast room was the same, comfortable and homey. They have a place to keep luggage since checkout time was before my flight. That's good.

Very bad

The room was like in a basement with no windows no air nothing!! The breakfast was terrible! I stayed in Istanbul 10 nights in different hotel and this one was the worst!! Dirty ripped blankets and overall nothing was clean!!

When I was there, the clientele was inconsiderate and rude, making my stay miserable. That's on me, I guess, for being unable to tolerate people talking on their phones and using them without headphones. It's the new way of the world, and I'm too old to keep up. I won't stay in a hostel in Istanbul again. I'll avoid the city unless I can afford a private room. Also, staying in tourist areas is annoying because you can't walk down the street without being harassed to spend money at every establishment you pass. I'm just glad to be out of there. Sorry.

This is a basic accommodation for someone only needing a place to sleep and shower, and spend most of the time in the city. It is relatively close to the tourist sites of the area, but the street to get there do not seem that well traveled. Although this is Sultanahmet, it isn't the very busy side of the neighborhood.

Great place

Conveniently located and the daytime staff was always helpful with cabs, information, and so on. WiFi was spotty but it always worked after a while.

Excellent location close to the Blue Mosque. Very comfortable bed. Quiet room. The staff are lovely.

It was very inexpensive to stay here and I was pleasantly shocked of how comfortable the beds were. The service was incredible!

Fabulous & friendly welcoming place

A really fabulous short stay at The Sultan Hostel. From the warm and smiling greeting from Ahmed on the desk, the cozy clean dorm and peaceful nights sleep to the lovely breakfast and coffee in the morning and the nice staff. Perfect for a single female traveller. Safe and comfortable in a vibrant area close to all the sights. My go-to place next time in Istanbul and I will defo recommend it to other travellers. Great value and hospitality to match. Thank you!

I stayed one night before catching a flight to Cappadoccia. The only reason I didn’t return to this property the next week for my stay in Istanbul is because the bed was terrible. I could feel the springs poking me in the side. I stayed in a room with a queen bed and a private bath. It should be noted that there is no elevator. I knew this before, but if you have problems getting up stairs with your luggage, this would be an issue.

A good budget place in the historical Istanbul.

It’s a very good budge place to stay as a bed and breakfast, exceptionally good value for money. It’s in the centre of old historical Istanbul, only a few minutes walk from the main historic sites such as Blue Mosque, Ayasophia and Topkapi palace. The staff, specially Murad and Asmat are extremely friendly and go out the way to help the travellers. They are happy to store your luggage for a few hours after the checkout without any additional charges. I will definitely consider it in the future to stay for a longer period of time.

Great location for shopping, restaurants and exploring the history of Istanbul. Safe to walk around all day and night the hostel has strong wifi and nice complimentary breakfast and the staff were accommodating.

I enjoyed my stay. I like that the area near tourist attractions so it is very safe even after midnight.

The hostel is the best in sultanahmet, music all day and night, food is great. Staff are very nice and welcoming. Their pub is very nice and open all day and night. Many freebies with drinks, like popcorn, chips and others. Staff is great, specially Ahmet. Will return for sure.

Friendly and helpful staff... They took my luggage to fifth floor.. I am really greatful for them as that day I was really tired after long long journey.. and they offered me help without even my request... He just seen me and knew that I m not in condition to carry my luggage {2 bags).. he did by himself... Hostel location is just in place to tourist attractions and tramways... Only had one night but it is memorable...

Great Location, helpful staff and decent enough facilities considering the price. Would definitely recommend to those travelling on a budget, only downside was that the bed we had wasn’t massively comfortable.

the location is good, near to the hagia sofia and the tram, the price is worth, the room and toilet is clean. but one thing is that you need to rent the towel. the wifi is very strong and great!!

Sociable and helpful but don't transfer on website

After a difficult start (pre-arranged airport transfer not turning up, wouldn't recommend booking through sultan website for that) they won me over with their helpfulness. Ive stayed in better kept places than this but it's perfectly do-able. Highly recommend for solo travelers, as really sociable place - both the staff and fellow guests. The airport shuttle for the return (set times) was much more reliable when arranged at their reception.

Lets go over the pros and cons. Pros 1. Location 2.Staff The Hotel is super close to the blue mosque ( 5 minutes walking) and the staff is super friendly and they will help you with anything you need. Cons 1. The hotel its kinda of old and not in good condition. 2. The rooms are really small, I reseverd a private room for two persons and there was only one bed, Tv and a furniture and it was crowed. I would recommend the hotel for a single person or a young couple.

I left comment in expedia: I DID NOT STAY AT THIS HOSTEL THOUGH IT WAS PAID, BECASUE STAFF TREATED BADLY, THE FACILITIES WERE POOR.

Cheap hostel good location

Hostel was good for what you pay. Breakfast was nice, staff were friendly and helpful, beds were comfy. We stayed on a Saturday night and the restaurant/bar was really noisy and could be heard from the room which made getting to sleep impossible for a couple of hours. No common room to sit in- have to sit in restaurant. Wifi wasn't great.

Good as a hostel. But not for families

I booked in this hostel as a temporary stay untill I move somewhere else. When I checked in there I realized that it was not suitable for a family with kids. But people there are nice and made the stay really worth it.

Walking Distance In Sultanhamet

This hostel is in an excellent location in Sulatanhamet district of Istanbul. Had a shuttle arranged to pick me up from the airport before I left and that was easily set up through their site. The staff was friendly and the room was exceptionaly clean! Was suprised to have my own bathroom and room with a view of the water. That made it worth walking up four flights of curly stairs to my room. And it's also a safe hostel! And there's another shuttle service you can use to take you to the airport as well very cost efficent.

The people at sultanahmet are too jaded with tourist

Great all around

Everything was good about the place, from the service, to the food, to the bed. Can't beat the price. Only downside is the darned hostel across the street blasts music all night, but that's not Sultan Hostel's fault. Great place, would stay at again.

stay here for three nights, great location but too noisy in the night, loud nusic till 2am till night and bar downstairs, itis not a good choice if u expect a quiet room

Good location, but basic hostel

Overall the place was adequate for my stay. It is in a good location for walking around the city. Breakfast was included and was simple and basic. Make sure you get a private room. The hostel rooms are cramped.

가격 저렴하고 위치도 괜찮고 아침도 나오지만 샤워기가 망가져서 샤워가 힘듭니다. 에어컨 바로 아래 침대가 걸렸다면 추위에 떨면서 자야 합니다

Wunderschönes kleines Hotel, jedes Zimmer ist ein wenig anders gestaltet. Mehmet von der Rezeption war sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Wir würden jederzeit wieder herkommen.

Zona ottima per il turismo pieno di ristoranti forse anche troppi ..ben servita come mezz per chi è tipico turista va molto bene per me che sono viaggiatore no...ottima anche per le famiglie i ...e si è vicini alle più grandi mete per Istanbul-Santa Sofia _la basilica cisterna-topkapi-museo di santa Sofia -museo islamico c'è pure la grande piazza con obelisco peccato che era l ippodromo di Costantino ma ahimè è rimasto pochissimo.

Hostel befindet sich in sehr gute Lage, in Altstadt von Istanbul. Sehr viele Ziele zum Fuß erreichbar, Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Ausstattung von Zimmer ist sehr schlecht, die Materatze war BRAUN!

Emplacement idéal pour du tourisme urbain . A 3 mn à pied de St Sophie et du centre historique . Idéal ! Quartier touristique . Nombreux restaurants divers et variés . A nous de chercher le bon ! Chambre petite . Draps et couette trop petits pour le lit donc inadaptés. Douche 2e étage défectueuse. Petit déjeuner correct mais minimaliste. Accueil courtois mais pas chaleureux sauf une personne disponible et agréable. Choisir cet hébergement pour sa localisation surtout . Pour le reste c'est spartiate !

女性6人部屋Ensuiteに２泊、22.24ユーロ。ブルーモスク、アヤソフィア、トプカプ宮殿に歩いていけて、周りにレストランも多く、立地は良い。スーパーは周りになく、徒歩14分先にBiMがある。ブルーモスク方面から来る場合、ホステルの入り口は左手にAlbina Kathisma restaurant&cafeが見えたあたりで右に曲がった左手にあるので注意。朝食(8:00-10:30)は込みだったが、大したものはない。ゆで卵1、胡瓜とトマトのスライス2枚、オリーブ4粒、チーズ一欠片、バター、クリームチーズ、蜂蜜、ストロベリージャム、スライスバゲット、ドリンク（コーヒー、紅茶、ジュースから選べる）。バゲットはおかわり自由だったが、細身の女の私でも足りなかったので、成人男性には足りないだろう。部屋は小綺麗だったが、セキュリティと設備の面からまた泊まることはないだろう。ドミトリーの場合、鍵は部屋単位で一つしかなく、出かける場合は部屋を最後に出る人がフロントに鍵を預けるシステム。ある時は同室の宿泊者が全員出払っているのに、部屋の鍵がかけられていない時があった。またドライヤーがあると書いてあったが、部屋にはなかった。フロントに聞くと、「誰かが借りてて今はない」と結局1度も使えなかった。もしや元々無いのではなかろうか。 窓は開閉可能で、礼拝の時間になるとモスク方面から爆音で聞こえてくる。カーテンは窓の半分分しかなく、朝は眩しかった。部屋にトイレとシャワーと洗面台がまとまった個室がある。シャワーはカーテンで仕切るのみなので、シャワー後はトイレの方まで床が水浸しになる。フロアにシャワーだけの部屋があり、面積が広いのもあって、私はそちらを使っていた。水圧十分なお湯が出る。Wi-Fiはフロアごとにあり、正しい機を選べばネットは十分早かった。これは運だが、同室のトルコ人2人が午前1時半まで声量を絞ることなく喋り続けて寝れなかった。ベッド脇には一つずつコンセントがあったが、6人分全てが使えなかった。ドア脇に１つだけ使えるコンセントがあり、取り合いだった。このコンセントを運良く使えても、同室の宿泊者に外されて使われていたので、ほぼ充電できなかった。USBのタコアシがあると便利。

Alles was prima, zeker een aanrader. Zeer nette en knusse tweepersoonskamer met een fijne ruime badkamer. Ik zou er zo nog eens verblijven voor een week i.p.v. een dagje. Als je de hoek omgaat heb je een hele gezellige straat met restaurants, vooral eentje genaamd Siva restaurant. Het personeel was echt top, super vriendelijk en lekker authentieke gerechten. We kregen ook nog een volksdanshow door het personeel en de toeristen van de straat deden mee.Echt een hele rustige en gezellige buurt in 1!

Overall good

Nice hostel/hotel overall, I had a private room, very good location, nice breakfast. The chill area downstairs is a little small but at least there is one. And the rooms are upstairs (no lift). The room is basic but good.

genel olarak hostellerde daha önce de kaldım ancak hayatımda bu kadar kötüsünü görmedim. 11 gece konakladım. Ders oldu bana bir daha basta 1-2 gece kalmadan uzun süre kalmam. Gecenin 2sinde oda içerisinde sigara icen mi ararsın, gecenin 1inde sarhos gelen birisinin ışığı açıp yüksek sesle konusup beni uyandırıp ozur dilemek yerine tepeme çıkar gibi, karşısında çocuk varmış gibi azarlaması mı dersin resepsiyona gecenin bir vakti inip durumu izah ettigimde ona da hak vermesi mi dersin kesinlikle tavsiye etmiyorum. Odaların çok dar oldugu yaklasık 6 metrekare odada 6 kisiye kadar kalınabiliyor ve odalar çok küçük olduğu gibi hijyen kurallarına da hic dikkat edilmiyor, odalar temizlenmiyor zorla 1 kez temizletebildim, çarsaflar hic degismedi. Kahvaltı servisi yapanlar iyiydi ve ismet isimli çalışan iyidi gerisi rezalet, valiz koymaya, esyalar icin dolap yoktu. Eksikleri saymakla bitmez hosteli secerken ortalama puanı yüksek olduğu icin secmistim ancak yorumların eski olduğu gözümden kaçmış.

1. 구시가지에 있어서 대부분의 볼거리를 보도로 이동할 수 있습니다. 2. 직원들도 다들 친절하고 유쾌해서 만족스럽습니다. 3. 샤워시설은 작은 편이나 큰 불편은 없습니다. 매우 깔끔하다고는 할 수 없지만 지저분하거나 그러진 않으니 안심하셔도 절습니다. 4. 조식을 제공해줍니다. 평범한 터키식 조식입니다. 빵, 과일, 잼 등 5. 술집과 숙소가 같이 운영되기 때문에 밤에 소음이 있을 수 있습니다. 종합적으로, 매우 훌륭한 가성비 숙소입니다. 이스탄불에 다시 가면 또 이용 할 예정입니다.

이게 1층에 레스토랑이 있고 건물안쪽에 호스톌이 있는식이라 밤에 좀 시끄럽습니다. 그리고 화장실, 샤워실은 상태가 좀 많이 안좋습니다.
