Roaches

Asked for a nonsmoker room. Was told it was but smelled like cigarettes, and they were cigarette burns on the bed. TV never worked. The stove didn’t work either, and there was roaches.

Overall want to be expected for the price

Front desk person was extremely rude. The room was the most disgusting hotel room I have ever stepped foot in to. It smelled so bad I almost vomited, there were stains everywhere dirty torn up walls, what looked like vomit on the table and on the side of the bathtub. I am amazed this place has not been condemned.

Place is a little run down, room was "comfortable" but saw several bugs in the room which made me not want to stay in there.

Overall good stay. Other guests were annoying a few times with loud vehicles and setting off smoke alarms. Nice and quiet otherwise.

My room has no hot water, no trash can, bathroom light out and I saw a few bugs. My wife called and got the hot water, trash can, and light issue fixed and room smelled cleaner when I got back there after work.

Good people, bad place.

Bugs in both rooms, power outages caused by a circuit trip, which caused water leaks from fridge... we're all the problems we dealing with. The staff was friendly and kind, and tried really hard to make things right, and took steps to make good when they couldn't.

Front desk staff was nice. Had requested a 1st floor room. Cannot do stairs and they had us on 2nd floor. She found a room on 1st floor. Room basically good. Has a full size fridge which was great. A couple issues. They need to replace the bathroom door. Paint is peeling off it. Easy fix! Also hair dryer missing cover on the plug. Could be an electric shock issue since it’s by the sink. Hotel has gone downhill since last year when we stayed there. There are a lot of sketchy residents that are there monthly/weekly. At 5am 2 guys tried to get into our room. We didn’t open the door. When my husband looked out the window he motioned them to leave which they did. They were having a discussion with someone upstairs that was outside. Will not stay again. Price is ok. Do not recommend

Only problem i had was a few little raoches. Besides that. It was ideal.

Very nice property however the people staying were unruly. Corona boxes and beer everywhere. Police and paramedics were called for a domestic disturbance. Not family friendly, but could be because they have a volleyball ourt and area for kids to play

Area was well lit, seemed safe enough. Room felt dingy, floor was grimy. Bed was so hard I might as well have slept on the floor. Pillows were old and lumpy.

Useless kitchen

The studio was in ok condition, but what is the use of all the kitchen equipment if there are no utensils? There were no pots or pans, no plates or cups or cutleries, no coffee filters or coffee. So the kitchen was useless to have and, yet, the reason why booked the room.

Good stay

Room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Back parking area was well lit. Fit my need of a short stay well.

The filthy room from hell....

I' in my mid 70's and have stayed in hundreds of hotel rooms in my lifetime and this... by far was the worst ever! I opened the door and CLEARLY that room hasn’t been clean. I mean it was horrible it even still had the previous guest clothes still in the drawer. So I went back to the front desk to let him know it was not clean and he said it would take time! The room smelled like cigarette smoke, the shower was disgusting, the toilet seat was broken had cigarette ashes on it, the bed sheets were stained, the towels were stained, the floor felt greasy and sticky, the mirror was dirty and the overall hotel was filthy. We were in total shock. Then the real problems started! The commode backed up 3 times in two days and the sinks and the bath tub were slow drainers. When showering, we stood in dirty soapy water. Left as early as possible because we just wanted to get out of there because we couldn’t cancel unfortunately due to the fact we came all the way from Florida to Texas and by the time we saw the room it was too late to cancel. I even tried calling to get my money back which didn’t work. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone. This hotel is a health menace and should be closed down by the local health department.

Great staff, but it is a roach motel found several had to go buy spray.

Not so well kept!

The window was open when we arrived, the tub was stained and calking around it moldy.

You get what you pay for.

Cheap and not so cheerful. Cleanliness was pretty abysmal and throw in early season bugs crawling on floor and walls.... The picture of the room on hotels.com website is probably 10 years old so factor that into your judgement. Some room lights kept tripping. Not so good if you are in the shower. Pay extra go somewhere else.

Upgraded motel. Room could have been cleaner but wasn’t horrible. Good deal for price we paid.

Nothing Fancy

Room was clean and updated. Has a full size fridge, microwave, 2 burners, toaster and coffee maker. Has no pots, pans or anything to eat or cook with. Pointless to have a kitchen but the full size fridge was nice. Price was right. No issues.

Not to great!

Hole in the wall, electric kept going off so I had to keep hitting reset buttons, microwave, toaster, and tv all did not work. Water ran constantly in bathtub. Positives- fenced area for dogs (they need a trash for poo though). Hot water in shower. Staff was friendly. East to get to.

Paid a little more then 71 bucks for a kitchenette. AMAZING!! Very clean and fresh clean smelling i was content.

We had a excellent time at this hotel and honestly was surprised by the amazing condition of the room. I had read some of the reviews and was worried that it may possibly be unclean or have bugs. However this was not the case and was obviously been remodeled very recently. We were on the back end and didn’t hear any road noise. The staff was accommodating and allowed us to check out an hour late when we arrived at 4am. Definitely will stay again if we come back to Temple!

I loved my room set up. It's exactly what i wanted. What i hated was that even though I explicitly requested a non-smoking room; i was surrounded by weed smokers!! Our room had the stench of weed soaked into the curtains, coming from the a/c unit & even in the bathroom. Not to forget that maintenance came into our room while we were out in town. No notice given to us or anything. Then they come back late around 9:30pm to bring back the a/c cover. Not to mention they do NOT have a pool with water; they have a pool with sand. It just wasn't as advertised so I'm really disappointed I even booked Studio 6.

When I first arrived I thought I was just a tad early at 10:30 because the website suggested that check in would be at 11:00. found out that check in wasn't until 3:00 (normal). GFCI outlets ALL OF THEM kept triggering with merely just the lights on and nothing in the receptacles. No one told me how to use the stove and when I was using it, after it timed out, I couldn't reset timer so I had to through away quite a bit of food. Housekeeping came to my room every morning and knocked at 8:00 AM to ask if I needed towels. I was asleep everymorning when they knocked. No DO NOT DISTURB signs anywhere. THERE WERE COCKROACHES. Unfortunately, I didn't have the money to stay anywhere else and this was not refundable. I didn't tell management because they were the ones that didn't say anything about how to use the stove. I did tell management about the GFCI outlets but they only said they would send someone to turn back on. I had to clean the room when I got there because it was filthy, the stove still had crud on it which I didn't have to scrub hard to remove. THE ONLY THING ABOUT THE ROOM THAT WAS GOOD, SMOKING, FRIG WORKED AND THE A/C WORKED.

Bad stay experience.

To start had to checkin thru small hole in window at 3:00pm, room had mold smell, had to keep going to office to key reset it would not unlock door. There was no pool and no breakfast coffee due to lobby shut down. Bath towel had blood stain reported but it was thrown back in with the rest for reuse.

Wouldn't Recommend....

The room was in the process of renovated when I stayed there. None of the lights or plugs worked unless you pressed the "reset" on the plate. The phone in my room did not work. The bathtub had not been cleaned although the toilet and sink had been. It was advertised as having a hair dryer but did not. When I entered the room for the first time, there was water on the floor. Since the phone didn't work, I had to walk to the reception area to advise the person on duty. He brought some towels and cleaned it up. Overall, pretty disappointing....won't book with this company again. To be fair, it was a very low cost for the room but to me, some things are not negotiable (having electrical outlets work, a clean tub and clean pillows)...

Other than the refrigerator/freezer, I didn't use the studio facilities but liked the set-up as opposed to a regular motel room. Staff was pleasant and quick on check-in/check-out.

Our room had a problem at first and the staff at the front desk was really nice and friendly that he gave us another nice room immediately. I like this place, and what I like the most are hospitable staff here!

What a treasure!

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and nice this Hotel 6 was. The room was very clean and spacious. We had a full sized refrigerator, microwave, and a 2 burner stove top. It was very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel!

Room was very dirty so went and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned myself. The cleaning lady after my complaint to Managment came to room the next morning in her P.Js with her little girl and got into us for complaining about her . Management came in after we cleaned the room ourselves to look at it . The toaster did not work and the motel had roaches. I had already paid or would have left 🙁.

What a surprise!

This hotel is newly renovated, with a kitchen! Pots and pans as well as some dishes ; nice surprise! New microwave big enough for a small ham! Even though it was on the service road; the room was quiet and cool. We would stay here again .

Trip

The key didn’t work well, the door handle jammed bad, the fridge was leaking ... no coffee pot and very run down. It’s also VERY easy to hear anything going on outside your room.

Very loud road noise as it is right next to highway. Had to turn on the very loud AC to drown out the noise. Shower curtain with black mold and pink/orange fuzzy mildew. A replacement single layer cloth shower curtain might be, what...$5? Duct tape, which is probably more expensive than the shower curtain was used around shower head instead of fixing the plumbing problem. Nice big off leash dog area. Room 228.

The other guests were just rudely loud all day and all night. Didn’t care that others were trying to sleep or had dogs so our dogs were barking and keeping us up. The beds weren’t that comfy either

Check in attendant was very courteous. Room had several problems. Lights kept shutting off and I had to reset gifs in every location. Bathroom sink was stopped up. Blanket too small for king bed. Cleanliness could have been better. Plus I did not feel safe. The noise level, plus huge party just outside my door made me uneasy and I didn't rest at all. I had 2 nights paid for but left after first night.

It was really nice hotel with a convenience store and restaurant within walking distance....the staff and housekeeper was very very nice and deserve a raise and recognition...i will definitely be back!!!

Don't stay here

When I got into the room I thought it wasn't too bad even though there were patches on the wall that had not been painted. Then I learned the microwave wouldn't work & the TV would go off every half hour and I would have to reset the fuse & the same with the light in the bathroom area and of course no hairdryer.

Recommend

The place is being remodeled so lots of construction but the room was nice with a cooktop and a full size refer. Ironing board, iron, microwave. roomy. Water pressure a bit slow but shower okay. overall good bang for buck.

Lawsuit waiting to happen.

Half of hotel is under remodel. Nothing is properly installed. A member of my party got injured on the stairs and when we notified the day guy in the office, he shrugged his shoulders and laughed. The ER bill cost 3200, that’s no small injuries. We will continue proceedings at this point but PLEASE advertise their remodel in bookings, and PLEASE stop hanging up on customers that are trying to report problems to hotels.com. As far as Studio 6, they will be contacted by our attorney.

Great stay for the price, nice rooms.

The rooms are being renovated, and look great. The beds were clean and comfy, the kitchenette came with pots, pans, Dishes & utensils which was nice. The owner was friendly & didn’t have any issues with anything. The only thing I’d note is that because it’s right off the freeway, you can hear the traffic all night.

Did the best they could considering going through a complete renovation. Disappointed that the pool was empty.

Took awhile for the water to get hot in the shower. Also, the blanket on the bed was too thin. I would turn off the air and get hot instantly

Studio 6 is a great place. I most definitely go back there again and again. This is my boyfriend and I new place to stay

Disappointed

Hotel is under construction. We checked in after 3pm and our room wasn't clean. This bothered me because I then felt it was rushed and not cleaned thoroughly. The amenities in the room are nice and the new stuff in the room is nice and updated with the exception of the bath tub it looked gross. Not a quiet place to stay as you hear a lot of highway noise. Door didn't appear to be sealed properly this could be why it was extra loud. Our TV kept turning off and we would have to go behind it and push the reset button on the plug. It was inconvenient to say the least. A lot of people who stay at this motel are people working construction in the area but we also saw some very sketchy looking activity when we first arrived. I would not recommend this motel to anyone else. Maybe after the remodel is complete. They have a pool but it is not operational.

Go somewhere else!

Poor remodel. Lights were falling off walls, pool was 1/4 full if that and filthy. Beds were also like laying on concrete with flat pillows.

Service was excellent. Staff was on it everyday. Property was good too. Excellent place to stay. Very comfortable place to stay.
