The only thing is there was no locks for the doors . Which was a bit uncomfortable leaving my stuff in there .
Somewhere nice is fantastic. A really, really excellent hostel. The layout of the rooms and communal areas was great. Lots of space, good, wide ranging internet, airy rooms, good facilities. The success of good design and aesthetic is that it facilitates the community within. Everyone was so happy and gregarious, everyday friendships were formed and forged and expanded upon. The breakfast is incredible. So much fresh fruit, fresh baked bread, pancakes, eggs, porridge, nice coffee. The breakfast staff are wonderful. They always checking ones needs and are happy and singing with beautiful voices. I guess the most wonderful aspect are the staff. They are fantastic. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, great conversationalists and caring to a fault. Whilst i stayed a lovely young man had a bad bout of malaria and the staff helped him to the hospital, took him food and sat by him. I was really moved by this. I have worked in this industry for over 20 years and struggle to remember such acumen, professionalism and kindness. Like many i extended my stay and will return after further peregrination within the country.
This hostel is not cheap but is actually very good for a hostel of this sort in Accra, and had the added bonus that even though it didn't say we had booked a breakfast, everyone got a complimentary breakfast, and reasonably decent at that.
Nice natural environment. Great for relaxing and escaping the busy city noise
It grew on me....
The rooms are dark unless you put the lights on even in the day and the communal areas can fill up at times so initially I found it a bit claustrophobic but returning for a second stay after travelling around Ghana, I liked it better and don't think there's much similar at that price point. It's in a good location with lots of facilities around and a very easy-going atmosphere. The breakfast (including the best coffee I had in Ghana) was good, especially on a Sunday when Felicia cooks pinkaso. I\'d go back again.
Lovely staff
Always stay here when in Accra and I have always enjoyed my stay. Very comfortable and staff are so great.
Very nice place stay I was a female in mixed dormitory for 6 days and I have no complaints it was something new for me as a solo traveler I was impressed it was a nice atmosphere the poolside bar is nice breakfast big and full so much freedom and centrally located I will definitely come again to meet new friends for a cool free hangout spot
Thanks for taking watching out for my 20 year old sick daughter.
Simple Sophistication
Clean and comfortable perfect base to explore Accra
Super friendly staff
The hostel name speaks for itself. It is a really nice place to stay in Ghana. I got to meet very nice people and got impressed how friendly and welcoming the hostel staff was. Definitely a good place to be when in Accra.
The rooms were spartan but clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The internet speed was reasonable. Breakfast was included and even though the menu was limited, it was wholesome and good.
Great European style hostel in Ghana. Nice amenities and common areas. Also good place to meet other travelers
I liked the breakfast and they had a pool on site. I didn't like not having a microwave or working iron.
We stayed here a few nights a year ago and it was pretty nice and quiet and the staff was great! We travel as a family with children who enjoy swimming and this time although it was weekday nights we stayed the place was loud especially at the bar area after 5pm. The bar is connected to the pool and so it was not an ideal place to be with the kids as the music had vulgar language along with the people at it. The breakfast was good as usual ! But the main thing that discouraged us from returning in the future was a metal wire Male they had hanging from the common sitting area ceiling which they had made a Males private parts sticking out from. This is a good price to stay and safe area if you are just wanting a cheap place to stay but know that it is not so much a family place to stay.
Great value
The hostel gives you great value for money in an expensive city like Accra. They have a nice little swimming pool to cool down on hot days, airconditioned rooms, modern design and welcoming staff. It's also easy to get to know other travellers when hanging out in the evening or over breakfast.
The rooms are great and the pool is really fun. Love the breakfasts.
Liked...the showers. Didn't like...hard to get to at night. Locals get confused when you ask where Somewhere Nice is. Is actual in New Town along Market Street and not Cotton Ave.
High end hostel
High end hostel vibe - mixture of private rooms and dorms, tastefully furnished in an industrial upcycled chic look (e.g. polished concrete, wicker hanging chairs). Spotlessly clean and delicious (and very friendly breakfast). Note it is a hostel, so the small pool will be crowded by beer swilling backpackers (which could be a plus or minus depending on your vibe).
Good stay - and value for cost.

An oasis in a bustling city. Loved the poolside bar.
