Amazing food!

Amazing hotel. The half board was incredible value. The evening meal was Italian themed with an opera singer and breakfast with a saxaphonist!! Walking distance into town

We only stayed a night. It was comfortable and clean. Hotel room was nice.. comfy bed. Hotel was morden. Pool area clean. Breakfady had variety.

Beautiful stay here and we are already planning a return visit, ideally located for restaurants, the beach and local transport.

Booked sea view suite. Sea view was a glimpse between two tennaments was so bad I asked for a refund and checked out.

A Melia by name, but not quality

Disappointing stay at Sol Port Cambrils. We often stay at Melia hotels and this didn’t match the standards of the brand. We had a 1st floor room, directly above reception and the bar. Very noisy, especially when any entertainment was on, as if they were in the room. Our ‘partial sea view’ really stretched the definition of partial, if you really focus through the trees you can see some blue (see photo). We associate Melia hotels with a good breakfast, this was poor. Very limited choice and cheap ingredients. Not good. On a positive the hotel is well located, a few mins walk from the beach. Stay for the location, but don’t spend time in the hotel.

Central place , close to the sea and resturants

The staff were always helpful. In fact we called them from a train station and they organised taxis for us. Facilities were looked after and facilitated a lovely stay.

Nice Hotel with Great staff

Nice pleasant and clean hotel in quite a good location, the whole area was a bit quiet at the end of October but on a couple of nights the hotel was busy which added to the atmosphere. The food and the staff were first class, especially Elisabeth on reception and Raquel and Sandra in the restaurant! I am coeliac and they made sure I had plenty of Gluten free options 😄 The only thing that I was disappointed in was that there were no Gideons Bibles in the rooms.

A weekend close to friends in Cambrils

The trip was to see friends who live locally, so hotel conveniently located for what we wanted and a bonus - it was a short walk to the the Meat Market (a good choice of restaurant for the one night we ate out locally). We were also close to the beachside promenade for a walk in each direction and also through some back streets. It was weekend, inevitably the beach was crowded, so not really our thing! The best thing for us (as we do struggle to sleep in the heat) was that on arrival the air-con was already on in the room (at 21 Centigrade and the room stayed at that temperature througout our stay due to efficient and (because uiit was not working flat out because it was only on when we were actually in the room, struggling to lower a high temperature) relatively quiet air-con. Well done to local management or perhaps Sol Hotels centrally for recognising a good night's sleep is very important when you come to the heat of Spain from a cooler climate. Wi-fi good in room and elsewhere in hotel - we are not streamers so didn't test that! Breakfast in the hotel busy, but range offered good, plentiful and regularly restocked. No cause to use the other hotel facilities, except the car-parking which was a bit tight as they so often are in Iberia, so needed concentration to get in. Importantly, our hire car was off the road and safe whilst we were there - parking otherwise looks to be a potential nightmare within the resort. The Salouownhillbikes.com ride was fun

Ok overall

Hotel was nice overall. Pool area was small enough and lots of children. Evening time had a lot of older Clientele in the lobby. Rooms quite nice but the bed slid very easy on the floor, which was annoying. 2 min walk to the beach/town

Room request and star rating

I phoned Expedia to request a room not at the back of the hotel where railway noise could be heard and also a room on a higher floor. Neither request was met and I was given a room on the second floor facing waste ground and with railway noise heard when door to balcony was open. When I requested another room, I was told that no twin rooms at the front were available. Also, the bathroom, whilst clean, was badly in need of redecoration. Not what I would expect of a 4 star hotel.

We were very pleased with the hotel overall. The checking in process was very simple after a long day travelling. We were on B&B basis and the breakfast were very good and very varied. Good hotel but poor breakfast service and food.

Breakfast was difficult. No glasses for juice ,no direction from a disinterested manager.Cooked food was poor.

Was one of the best holidays we have had my only grip was tea was from 8.00 I like my tea at 5.00. But apart from that we had no problem

Hotel very convenient for the beach and marina.

It was a nice hotel, however, it appeared to be winding down from the summer. Numerous occasions there were no staff serving on the bar and my husband had to ring a bell and wait, and wait some more. We booked a premium seaview room. Using my binoculars, I could actually see the ocean! The hotel was not overcrowded which suited my husband and myself. The only reason that I would not return to the Tryp Port Hotel is the fact that the balconies had no privacy at all. I could see guests beside me, below me and also above me which can be off putting when all conversations can be heard. (I may be a little too fussy).

Close to beach and all must see sights

We loved our stay in the Tryp Port Hotel the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the food was tasty and plentiful. The Hotel is very well located close to all the restaurants and the beach. We will return.

Great pool!

A pleasant stay overall. Great pool area and there was never a problem getting a lounge chair! Would say that is hotel is in the moderate category based on furnishings and overall appearance. Upon arrival, we found that the pillows on the bed smelled very stale, and were pleased that a member of staff arrived with a few minutes and changed all the pillows for fresher ones. hotel,

Nice but not for young couple

The hotel was very nice but quite expensive for food and drink. The buffet dinner in the hotel's restaurant was way over priced and very poor quality. The staff were very helpful. The area was a little on the quiet side. Not many Bars but lots of restaurants, The beach is fantastic

one night in Cambrils

OK hotel. Parking available in underground car park, ten euros per night a little expensive. Free parking on road low season. Good range of restaurants within walking distance.

Convenient

3rd time we have used this hotel, we like the convenience for town and beach, also easy parking when we have stayed, generally out of high season, good base for circular inland tours, we will probably use again as there are good rates out of season.

Great Hotel for a Family

I definitely recommend this hotel for families since they have all the great accomodations a family wants such as kids club, pool, walking distance to the beach and a gym as well. The food was exceptional and had a variety of cuisine for every apppetite including children's selective eating. The hotel was in walking distance to the bus line which was very convenient. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

First class hotel!

We have just returned from five nights at the Tryp Port Cambrils. Having stayed at 4 star Spanish hotels in the past, we were delighted to find this was of a much highter standard. Quality sheets and towels and a spotless room. . The gym and pool were also super. The nearby beach was beautiful and plenty of lively places to eat in the evening. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Quiet Beach Resort Town Hotel

This hotel was a 5 minute walk to the Mediteranean and 5 to 10 minutes to the tourist center of town. It is also a short train ride to Tarragona where you can see roman ruins. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the train station. The hotel was quiet and clean, had a decent pool, served a great breakfast buffet (I recommend that you include breakfast in your hotel booking) and the staff went out of their way to be helpful to me. For the price I paid, I was greatly satisfied.

Modern, clean, nice, well-located

We definitely liked this modern, clean, well-located hotel. Breakfast buffet was large and quality was very good. Front desk staff was very helpful with excellent dinner recommendations, which we appreciated. (Cambrils has many fine restaurants.) The only glitch was that the internet did not reach into our sons' room, at the end of the corridor. A good idea to pack your own towel for the beach, as they require 10 euro deposit for their towels (I assume many did not return otherwise). Pool is very nice and the beach is just down the street.

A Very nice Hotel

The hotel was clean the staff were very welcoming and the general setrvice was very good. The room was good and the bathroom was just enough if a little small. The breakfast was brilliant with anything and everything you could want set out in a very easy manner to navigate from fruit to fry. Our overall impression on the Tryp Port Hotel was one we would go back to again.

Great Location

Used this hotel a number of times. Feel a bit let down this time with the quality & variety of the hot food at breakfast & dinner.

Close to beach and restaurants

Hotel standard high, with helpful staff. Provided a conjoined room for our family when requested. Precisely what one would expect of a Trypp group hotel howver a huge shock when charged an extortionate amount for on site parking, which was not mentioned when we checked in. I am pursuing this with Trypp directly. Be warned!

Very comfortable, close to the port and restaurants and a short walk to the old town.

Very comfortable, easily reached by bus from REUS airport. Close to the port and the excellent seafront restaurants and 15 minute walk to the old town. Breakfast was excellent - used the pool only once as the miles of beach and sea quality are superb for swimming. I'd happily stay again. Very helpful staff.

Tryp Port April 2009

We visited Cambrils for the Easter long weekend. The Tryp Port was the perfect place to stay. The hotel is ideally located in a quiet residential area and only a couple of minutes walk from the promenade. Shops restaurants and the beach are all very close to the hotel. Staff at the hotel could not have been nicer and the quality and cleanliness of our room was very good. Breakfast was also very good with lots of options available to suit every taste. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel

We had a nice stay. Only for 1 night on the way to Alicante. Parking in the basement is very convinient. Excellent breakfast.

Nice hotel with good location

Nice 4 star hotel in Cambrils. The hotel is clean and nice, the staff is professional and friendly. Everything you can expect is in place. Even though it's just 500 m from the beach, it is still nice and quiet. Only negative from us is the paper thin walls and the beds are not very comfy.

Beaucoup trop chère pour ce que c est. Piscine collé à la rue et à la voie ferré. Vis énorme avec l’immeuble en face et le soleil ne donne sur la piscine que quelques heures par jour (car entouré d’immeuble). Aucun charme pour un 4 étoiles, un building où Les spectacles sont donné dans la cafet avec un son horrible au vu de la résonance. Petit déjeuné continentale bas de gamme, fruit de conserve pour la plupart.parking payant 14€50 par nuit ! Possibilité de la garer dehors mais 4h maximum.... Balcon collé les uns aux autres tout le monde vois tout le monde, vous pouvez aisément passé d un balcon à l’autre... la lumière qui éclaire constamment les balcons est digne des éclairages de parking. Très très mal isolé que ce soit les baies vitres ou la parte d entré. Digne d un B&B avec piscine. Quand je relis les avis positif je me rend compte que ce sont des avis de gens qui ne sont jamais allé dans un 4 étoiles ou alors de faux avis.

Et dejligt hotel somjeg godt vil anbefale andre. Spisetiderne i restaurenten kunne godt være lidt længere og sådan noget som et strygejern må godt være mere tilgængeligt. Ellers et rigtigt dejligt hotel.

Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Mycket bra läge. Nära till stranden och stan. Lugnt område.

Wir waren 10 tage in dem Hotel mit 2 Zimmern und 6 Personen. Das Hotel ist sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Am besten hat uns das Abendessen gefallen. Hier gibt es jeden Abend ein neues Thema mit Livemusik und Livekochen. Somit sind wir auch nie in ein anderes Restaurant gegangen. Der pool ist gepflegt und reicht vollkommen aus, da ja das Meer nur 5 Minuten entfernt ist. Man muss sich nur damit abfinden, dass die Bahn direkt an dem Hotel ist. Wir wussten das vorher, daher gibt es auch keinen Abzug.

Es un establecimiento que se corresponde con su categoría, buena ubicación, y todo el resto correcto.
