A quiet stay for a ver reasonable price.

My visit was for a family wedding in Burlington. My room was comfortable, and quiet! I enjoyed the deep tub for a good hot soak for body aches (I danced a lot at the wedding)!!! The price was right and the bed was comfortable. I slept like a baby. **Please check the sink and tub in Rm 225, I had difficulty turning the bathroom sink faucet completely off. Also the tub faucet water control came off while turning on the water.** All in all a quiet stay at a great price! I'd definitely recommend.

Fine place for the price. No issues with check in. Room was clean.

Average accommodations

Room had a strong chemical odor, perhaps a deoderizing agent. Mattress was less than firm. Otherwise, the room was very clean. Duane at check-in was super friendly.

This definitely is an old hotel but was clean. Check in was easy and the man who checked us in was very nice.

Nice improvements

This is an older hotel but it appears that the current owners are making an effort to clean it up and are doing the best they can with what they have. There was fresh paint on the walls and all in all it was very clean. I stayed here a few years ago with the previous owners and it was a stretch to even give it one star. It has definitely elevated quite a bit since then. The man that checked me in was very friendly and helpful.

This is not a fancy place, but it was just what we needed. Safe, clean and friendly staff. Great location for Alpine Valley concert.

Not happy

Locks on doors didn't lock. Dead bolt couldn't put on cause door wouldn't shut all the way, chain lock was broke off, couldn't close curtains due to missing hooks old curtains, our feet were black on bottom from walking on old dirty carpet in room

Good value

Front desk clerk was friendly. The price per night was reasonable. It's an older hotel and the room I had was decent. The pillow top mattress was great.

Rooms are dated. Carpet, bathroom and room were dirty. Screen for window had large hole. Door did not lock well.

The motel was conveniently located to the event we were attending at Alpine Valley Music Center. The price was reasonable and plenty of restaurants and grocery stores close by.

Room door difficult to open, almost like it was painted shut….same with adjoining room door, could not open that door in my room. Wi-Fi was pretty much absent.

Friendly service

Outdated but friendly staff. Hard time getting our door open and our shower was leaking below us so had to use friends shower next door.

The Skyview was convenient and affordable, they were accommodating of our late check in time!

Nice clerk at check in and they were accommodating of early check in time as we were going to concert. Room was cleaned but very old! Smelled like grandma’s house. Carpet needs replacing as is very stained and duct tape on flooring. All caulk in bathroom was thick and crumbling. Leaky faucet and lukewarm shower. That said, door had deadbolt and room was secure. VERY OVERPRICED for condition. Wouldn’t stay there again.

It was surprisingly better than anticipated. Many of the hotels were sold out or had elevated prices for this weekend so ended up here. Pretty clean. Just needs updating. Room had tv with cable, fridge, microwave, and coffee. What more could you ask for. The toilet did not stop running but that would be the only complaint. No bugs in the beds was an upgrade from other places we stayed at in the past.

We were on the second floor but parked right by our door with no steps needed to get to our room! The room was nice with clean crisp white sheets, comfortable pillows and really nice quilted bedspreads, bright and new. It's an older faculty but you can tell the management cares about the building and maintains it. Staff was very friendly and it's located just a short walk from the river and charming downtown. Only complaint was the shower, we were in room 221 and we couldn't figure out how to set the handle to get hot water. There was plenty of hot water in the sink, and the neighbor said they had no problem with hot water for the shower, so may be us, or it may be this one room's shower handle. It was still warm enough to shower, and other than this one issue, this is a great little place to stay when on a budget. Definitely would stay again.

The staff was friendly, flexible, and supportive.

The motel did the job for our stay for a concert at Alpine Valley. Great location and price on a busy weekend. Food and beverages nearby. The motel is old and outdated, but it was clean and the front desk person was very friendly.

Checkin was a breeze

There is a reason your rated a 1 star motel, totally outdated, worst sleep I ever had, it took till the end of my shower for hot water, just overall unimpressed.

It’s a place to stay if you’re in a pinch, but the pictures online don’t accurately represent the room quality you’ll get. Our room was VERY rundown. General maintenance on the room was sub par and I’d find hardly sufficient. Between suspicious holes in the wall to the breaker box IN the room that was painted over, but with a door that didn’t even latch, among many MANY other issues I can definitely say I wouldn’t be staying here again. I will give the facility credit that surface level seemed to be decently clean.

Nice hotel friendly staff, it’s just very out dated.

Dirty

The room was filthy - like someone had been living in there . garbage overflowing waste baskets, someone had been sleeping on the bed (without pulling 'down' the blanket and sheet, torn curtains, baseboards missing, debris on the dresser and more.

Door didn't even lock

check in over the phone and get a key out of the lock box . Return through a hole in the window. Room was very dirty and stinky from bug spray or something. Highway was very noisy.

There was spiders , cockroaches bugs , I left at midnight leaving the key at the front door due to no attendant. I inspected right away but had to leave due to me checking in and leaving right away to a wedding ceremony down the street. I left after the wedding was over finding all these

Doesn't have a lot of amenities, but the beds are very comfortable and its a good place if you just need a place to sleep for a night.

Sorry to say but it was disgusting...room stink sheets were dirty toilet had pee and blood under the top... i personally went back and got my money back... couldn't stay the night at that place... management need to start taking care this place a lot better.

The AC in the room worked great. The carpet was Sticky & dirty. The tub & sink hadn't been cleaned. We booked 1 king bed & got 2 queens.

Staff friendly. Bathroom quite outdated. Shower fixtures leaking, squirting water straight out from areas that should not have been leaking.

New owners and looks like trying to make improvements. New furniture and tv, comforters. Needs updated bathroom but was clean. However had to switch rooms. Checked sheets and found hairs. They were very sorry about it and gave us a different room that had no issues. Not sure what happened. Hired help?

Spiders in the shower... Long term guests were noisy

I would not recommend staying here. It was dated and not real clean. What looked like black mold in the grout around the shower. The mexican restaurant next door was fair at best also FYI.

The man at check in was friendly but everything appeared to be from the 70’s. The room seemed clean but had a bad odor and a drippy sink. As for the shower, we have no idea. Decided to leave early & shower at home. Parking was out back & seemed sketchy. If I were a woman traveling alone I would definitely NOT stay here.

The heat units didn’t not work the refrigerator compressor was so loud the room smells so bad not recommend anybody to stay there.

I loved how convenient and clean Skyview was. The owners were very nice and accommodating to anything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. Five stars.

Never recommend

Very outdated, customer service was non- existent, shower did not work but I couldn't complain because the lobby was always locked and no one would answer the door bell or phone. Some prior guest left their underware in a cabinet drawer. Would have left but there was no other places that weren't over twice the price

Stain on wall near TV, bathroom vent not cleaned.

When we arrived at first glance it was fine from the outside but upon entering the room it was very evident that this room had not been cleaned for months. There was dust all over the tables and carpeting. The bathroom was exceptionally gross. It had not been cleaned as well in months. The floor was filthy, the bathtub was full of soap scum and dirt, the sink was full of rust around the drain and the door hit the floor when we tried to close it. Our friend stayed there as well. He did not sleep in the bed but on the bed. The toilet in his room did not work and he refused to use the shower as well. We left a scathing review on facebook and let others on social media know that this place was not a clean place to stay.

The place is a real dump. Not well cleaned, not well maintained, other than that it was fine

Toilet leaked and bath tub dripped water. There was mold on the bathroom floors/door and ceiling. Bedding was clean. You should remove the thermostat register from the wall, as it doesn’t work. The heat registers were very dirty. The heat source was actually the wall a/c. The nightly price was right. Basically no one on sight if you needed help (like where’s the heat source for the room).

Inexpensive lodging. Not the newest but price reflects our stay.

Not a fancy place, but great just for a place to sleep! The door faces directly to the outside, which made me feel a bit uneasy but the lock worked and I was able to park my car right in front which was nice. The shower was nice and the TV worked. Heater took a minute to kick on but worked. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

A decent place to stay for the price

It was an older motel, but it was comfortable. The sink could have been cleaned better. There was gunk built up around the faucet that was easy to wipe off. We arrived an hour earlier than anticipated and the staff was very congenial about letting us have our room at that time. Furnishings were eclectic but the bed was the most comfortable one I have ever slept on in a motel.

I will say that this property is fairly old but they have done renovations and it's super clean. The owners are super sweet and helpful. There are also plenty of dining options within walking distance. I didn't have a car and I had no issues.

The front desk are very helpful, the hotel has new ownership and the rooms have been refurbished. Now here’s what you would not know if you just drove by thinking it’s noisy because it faces the street and some motels have a certain stigma attached to them. Not Skyview and believe I travel a lot and I’m that’s on ALL hotels / motels because I want cleanliness and comfort, So I must confess it’s so freaking quiet I got up and walked outside to make sure people where still here. This was the first night but it was not the weekend. I am sorry to report that over the weekend it was the same as Tuesday night ;) What more can I say other than I opened a can of soda that exploded on the bed and was given new lien on the spot. Smelled like tide was used but I’m not sure. If I share this last sum of information of information with you I beg of you not to follow me on this path but my grandmother always confessed that I was her favorite grandson but just not the brightest in some things. I would fall asleep because it’s a quiet and wake up the next day only to discover my car doors where unlocked. Please I beg you to be much smarter and responsiblle than me in this regard.

Stink bugs! We killed 7 of them, which added to the other 4 bugs left laying on the floor before we got there. Otherwise ok and what you'd expect from a low cost motel.

Was comfortable..i like the nice size refrigerator/freezer and that we had a microwave..having 2 chairs was nice too. Nice flooring..only thingbi didnt like was bed under window

Convenient location, inexpensive. Lots of wear and tear and toilet didn't work properly.

Dead bolt didn't work. Carpet stained and felt like it wasn't cleaned. Peep hole stuffed with toilet paper. Wifi didn't work most of the time.

Run! Bugs!!

Upon entering the room and checking it out we immediately noticed holes in the carpet, holes in the curtains and general shabbiness. There was no remote, and no desk lamp. We could have ignored all that as we just needed a place to sleep after a long day and family funeral. The last straw, however, was when we checked the bed. In between the white top sheet and white regular sheet were bugs! Many, many bugs!! We immediately returned to the lobby and insisted on a refund. They offered us a different room which we refused. They have assured us they will “take care of this”. Hopefully we will be able to get our money back. I recommend you sleep in your car before staying here!

Stayed last minute for a wedding! Enjoyed our stay, and it was just was just what we needed for the night!

Purpose served

It was a last minute thing and served its purpose. A bit outdated.

The room was small but it had a nice television ,shower ,the bed and pillows were fine. It could use some up dating but for an over night stay it was just fine. Nice location

The new property owners were SO nice and welcoming. You can tell they're working really hard on upgrades and making the place as comfortable as possible. The room was clean, the amenities were everything I needed and I had a wonderful stay here. Would definitely return again!

The check in was not a great experience. Before boarding my flight to Wisconsin, I spoke with someone at the hotel to confirm that I'd be there between 11pm-12am. When I arrived, all the lights were off and there was nobody there to check me in. I called the number on the door for an hour before somebody showed up. The room was not clean. There's no vending machines or anything, and all the stores around there close early, so if you need water or something to eat or drink at night you're out of luck.

There was no one in the office upon arrival or departure. When I left, I ended up going back up to the room and just leaving the key inside on top of the fridge.

The staff were very nice and polite. Phoned my room to ask if I needed anything - no motel has done THAT for me before. Even helped me load my luggage when I checked out. Not a new motel but it was the best price in town and that’s always what matters most to me. Seems to be locally/family-owned and I felt good about that.

Run down outside, but clean inside, quiet, comfortable bed. Appear to be slowly remodeling. Room had new a/c and bed.

This place needs many many repairs to it. Smelled horrably of cleaning supplies and dead air, bathroom was gross as was the room itself. I wouldn't stay there again and wouldn't recommend either. On a positive, the woman checking guests in was very nice and friendly.

Not a good place to stay.

A room of two halves. Most was clean, but the air-con under the window, and the windowsill, were covered in dozens of dead insects. These should have been obvious. There was a stale smell about the room as well, and too much traffic outside to open the window. Not many guests, which also made me suspicious. I should have checked the reviews; Walking around, it's clear that Burlington has better options.

If you are looking for a place to sleep and relax, this will fit the bill. Clean, a little outdated, but being remodeled. Very nice and helpful staff. Food, gas nearby. We will stay again when in Burlington.

One night stay

For a place to sleep one night it was ok. I must say the bed was the most comfortable motel bed I've ever slept in. Curtains were very stained and washcloth look very used and also stained. I would go there again for one night stay.

Comfy and clean

Hotel is older. Tile was green and tub, toilet and sink were yellow.BUT IT WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE BED WAS SOOOO NEW AND COMFY!! Would def stay there again!!
