Phenomenal Hotel by Keystone
I've been a lot of places, and this is one of the coolest hotels I've ever stayed at. The history and the quality of the dining are unparalleled. I had no idea it was going to be as good as it is because I came to ski Keystone and needed lodgings in the area, and then was blown away. The staff and service in the hotel and restaurant are also top notch. Carlos went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable experience. Thank you!
Staff was amazing. The vide was cozy and rustic! Beautiful scenery.
A beautiful property with very comfortable rooms and extremely friendly and helpful staff. We made a reservation at the restaurant and it was amazing. We would love to stay here again.
Ski trip
My stay at the hotel was delightful. The room was cozy and well-maintained, and the common areas were equally welcoming. It was a pleasant experience overall, and I would happily recommend it to others.
Amazing place to stay while enjoying keystone resort , Carlos was great in providing help .
Disgusting room. Stains on sheets, coffee maker didnt work, staff was short and rude, paper thin walls didn't allow me to fall asleep.
Carlos and Jamal took great care of us! This is a historic rustic property, but super charming and beautiful. It is situated on great walking paths and it is a short walk to River Run for food and shopping.
The resort staff was great in Making sure that my daughters wedding went off without a hitch. They helped us a lot with our rooming situation. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the food was awesome. Loved the rustic Look and feel of this lodge. We had a great great time.
Nice all-round stay
What a great place. We’ll definitely be back. HIGHLY recommend having dinner there too at least one night.
I had the pleasure of staying at the lodge this week, and it was amazing. Great location, cozy atmosphere, and great food. Super comfy beds. They were turned down and the room was tidied up every day when I came back in, and I really appreciated that. The very best part of it all was Francisco. He made us feel as if we were the only guests there. He was so kind and really went the extra mile to take care of us. We did not get to spend much time with the rest of the staff because of their schedules and our trip dates but with the few interactions we had with them we think they’re wonderful too! I recommend this place to anyone and I will be staying again.
Amazing little place
Fantastic place, wish I knew how amazing the dinner was ahead of time so I could have eaten there twice
This place is a hidden gem if you're not looking for glitz and in-room TVs...in fact I don't think I saw a TV while I stayed there recently. The lodge oozes old-school ski charm and the staff is just outstanding, Brett the manager in particular. It's as close as you can stay to Abasin, and there's a great hot tub steps away apres. Add a cozy fireplace lounge after that and you have the recipe for a fantastic ski vacation. :)
Keystone gem!
Amazing service and friendly staff in a cozy ski lodge and former stagecoach station. Outstanding 4-course meal and perfect fireplace to relax for an apres-ski. Will make it my go-to place everytime I come to Keystone!
Incredible stay
It was an amazing stay! A very quaint and charming ski lodge with clean, modern rooms and an amazing free breakfast. It boasts a highly rated restaurant with a 4 course meal that was absolutely incredible, although pricy. Hot tub and two fireplaces on the main floor were an added bonus.
Ski Tip Lodge is a gem and a very special place!! The staff was amazing, our dining experience was very special and accommodations perfect! It was our first stay but we definitely plan to come back.
Service was outstanding!!
The property itself was beautiful. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The hotel had several large parties using their facilities and two back to back wedding parties. There was no room for our party of 4 either night for dinner. Nor was there flexibility to accommodate for desert by the fire. I gave my number to the front desk to call me if there was any dinner cancellations or availability. I was told there was no room. Then as I was waking through the downstairs same evening, the manager approached me and said that there was a cancellation…..he had my cell number and yet I never got a call so I could plan accordingly. I felt like my small party of four was very much an afterthought and we were certainly not given any kind of preference to dining options. I would stay here again, but I would make sure to make reservations for dinner and/or desert by the fire at the same time I made the accommodations themselves. Once you’re on site don’t expect any on-site guest preferences. Honestly they need to close the bookings to other guests if the presence of other large parties will severely alter the overall pleasant experience of the smaller party. I was really dissatisfied with this aspect of the stay.
We had booked to stay at Ski Tip Lodge in a cozy double room with a fabulous breakfast. But when we arrived at 7 pm on the day our stay should begin, we were informed that the Lodge was closed. Instead, we had to stay at a worn-out Condo, where I had to cook breakfast. My son had to sleep on a sofabed, and there was no quilt or blankets to keep him warm! My husband had to go out to the car and bring in our Emergency blankets to keep our son warm the first night. And the bathroom in the condo was disgusting, with water damage on the wall next to the tub and missing grout with amateur grout repair. The Condo was cold, as only one of the baseboard heaters was working. The outdoor skating rink, which my son really was excited about, was closed the entire trip, but the resort still charged the daily "Resort Amenities Fee." Such a rip-off!
Weekend Getaway
We had been here in the winter for skiing & loved the cozy atmosphere with the fireplace. This time it was still cozy and provided the perfect mountain retreat. Everything was clean & we loved the refillable water carafe that they left for us. We went on wonderful bike rides & after getting drenched by an afternoon storm it was nice coming back to a hot shower with refillable shampoo, conditioner, etc. that smelled like citrus. No plastics! The on-site restaurant is known for its rotating seasonal menu but it was pricey & no openings. A tasty hot breakfast is included that is served in the lounge which is decorated with old ski memorabilia. Tall people may hit their head on tight stairways, but I loved the rustic charm. We will be back!
Beautiful property. Staff was welcoming and helpful.
Perfect place to stay if you want to ski in keystone!
Old-time Colorado gem
It was a great stay, friendly staff and beautiful old coach house.
Came for a 2 day ski trip. Awesome authentic experience. Also had dinner, wonderful. 15% off dinner for overnight guests. Rooms are small and ceilings are low. As expected for when the cabin was built. Cozy fireplaces throughout. Great place for a romantic ski trip.
Keystone Find
Cozy, quaint B&B with outstanding staff. Enjoyed the log cabin common room and fireplace.
Great breakfast, friendly staff, good location, cozy, perfect for couples
Best food and stay at ski tip lodge
We loved our stay at ski trip lodge. Quaint but very nice. The food (both breakfast and dinner) was amazing! The dinner is 4 course, do the wine pairing! One of my top five meals ever! Wine was fantastic too! Hotel is convenient to the slopes too
Great little place
Great little resort, comfy atmosphere and nice staff.
Old time place off the beaten track. Great food and friendly helpful staff
Fine dinner, quirky room, disappointing breakfast
It’s been there since 1860, so has natural limitations in terms of modern facilities, and in many ways is all the better for it. My room was quirky, but reasonably comfortable, but the heating is variable and there’s no TV (although the WiFi is fine). The archaic floor layout reflects the age of the building, but the excellent food quality and ambience around the log fireplaces more than compensates. If you like great food with every ingredient explained to you, you will love it. The wine list is a revelation, as is the sommelier service. Breakfast, however, is a real let down - stuff left in heaters with just eggs/omelettes available to order, and after the grandeur of dinner it’s underwhelming. I stayed one night and it was an experience; next time might be dinner only.
Oldest ski lodge in colorado
Quaint charming and will definitely be here in the future.
Charm and comfort
My daughter and I came here for a college tour /ski trip. We couldn’t have been happier with the beautiful, quaint and historical Ski Tip Lodge. From the very personal service from the staff to the cookie jar around the corner from our room and the amazing four course meal at the their restaurant that is rated top 10 in the nation it was an absolutely wonderful and unexpected stay We cannot wait to come back!!
Perfect little Ski Lodge. Great staff, great views, very convenient, wonderful food.
Very cozy! Awesome breakfast that is included with the price. Very friendly staff and clean rooms and common area.
No TVs was a pleasant surprise; great sleeping beds; and very very pleasant staff. The gourmet dinner was outstanding.
Beautiful place, beautiful setting, fantastic staff, restaurant is one of the best in Colorado!!
Cute, quaint get away. No TV leads to new experiences!
Rustic luxury
I was staying here for a business trip, so my only regret is that I didn't get to enjoy the local recreational activities. But the staff were fantastic, and the lodge itself was wonderful - quiet, warm, rustic, and a welcome retreat throughout my stay.
Historic lodge in heart of Rockies
We had a fantastic stay celebrating our anniversary/husband's birthday at the historic Ski Tip Lodge. Everything was wonderful, the staff, the setting, and the great dining experience. I have already recommended this lodge to others.
What an Experience
To experience the past brought forward into the current day(s)! Could not get over the how it was to be staying in a quaint, & well kept truly a classy setting, and structure from the past. The mountains never felt closer, and the wood burning fireplace(s) gave us a feeling of belonging there. Thank all for the personal attention given to us, and to everyone that was staying there when we were there.
When you think ski lodge, think Ski Tip Lodge
Love the history of this quaint Lodge. Service was fantastic. Rooms are small, but that's because it's an old lodge and part of its charm.
Charming
Loved this inn. One of my favorites. In addition to its charm, it is located conveniently next to Keystone.
Historical lodge
Full breakfast.
Lovely Romantic Getaway for 2
My fiancé and I decided on Ski Tip Lodge for my 30th birthday excursion. With it being our first time in the mountains, this place was everything we dreamed of and more! The cabin feel was rustic, romantic, and homey. The scenery was breathtaking. Meredith, the innkeeper, was very friendly and made sure we had all that we needed. The breakfast was delicious and the pricey 4-course meal was an awesome and worthwhile experience. It was also great that the resort shuttle stopped right in front of Ski Tip, so we did not have to drive anywhere. My favorite parts about Ski Tip was the homemade cookies, super comfortable bed, and mountain views. The only cons were that the rooms were small and walls were thin (though it is an historic cabin so this isn't a huge complaint). Also, there's no TV so you have to unplug, which was mostly nice. For the few times that we had a Netflix craving, we were able to watch our favorite show on our iPad.
must stay a night at ski tip
Great place - have dinner and stay the night
A gem in the mountains
The atmosphere was amazing and felt like in a Christmas postcard. Very close to slopes, top notch service, gourmet breakfast with 5 star service. Beds not the most comfortable, but everything else was perfect.
no what we thought
The room was nothing like the picture (large spacious room with a fireplace). The room was very small with a small bathroom. The breakfast was very good. We were also told to pay a resort fee before leaving which was not part of the hotels.com charge, so disappointed in that we had to pay more for a very small room.
Historic lodge in great location
Staying at the Ski Tip Lodge is like going back in time amid stunning scenery. The log style building is wonderful, with fireplaces and comfy furniture, and a beautiful patio. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is exceptional. Don't miss dinner at the Ski Tip! Breakfast is included and is very good with nice fruit and choice of hot freshly cooked food. The only things to be aware of are that the rooms are comfortable but spare, no frills. No coffee maker, no phone or TV, nothing special in the bathroom, no water or ice (unless you ask downstairs in advance), no desk, no pen or paper. So bring what you will need and settle in for a cozy and welcoming stay.
Wonderful B & B with great personal service.
The building is old but well kept. Guest rooms are small but recently remodeled. The small guest rooms are more then made up for by the warm and wonderful lobby and bar area with big stone fireplaces and overstuffed furniture. What my wife and I really like after a long day of skiing or hiking. The breakfast menu is short and very tasty. Dinner is gourmet, the resturant is one of the top 100 in the US, wonderful but can be pricey.

This was our second time staying at the Ski Tip lodge. Very convenient and not the normal lodging. Very friendly hosts. My only recommendation would be to change up the breakfast every day. The scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon were delicious, but would have been nice to tried a few other entrees the other days. We’ll be back!
