great place!
One of my favorite Expedia related stays
Great location and clean. Check in during off hours not seemless. Anyone going to morocco by ferry and needs to stay overnight this is the place. 5 min walk to the ferry port
Property located near ferry terminal and centrally located to great food and shopping. Felt safe walking around town. Property is accurately depicted in photos. Impressed with the comfort of the bed. Check-in went smoothly. Would return to this property. Will recommend it to my friends and family.
Kadri the young lady at the reception was very helpful professional chill laidback and sweet.
Beautiful old home turned into boutique hotel. Perfectly located in the heart of old Tarifa. Rooms were nicely renovated and well stocked. Staff was friendly. Lovely stay that we plan to repeat.
Right inthe heart of the town, very nice staff.
Very efficient reception, pleasant staff, everything works, very good wifi. Building has real character.
This hotel is literally right in the heart of everything going on in old town Tarifa. The town is alive and humming both day and night, right outside the hotel. The hotel entrance is just down a side street (a couple hundred feet off the main street), so it gets surprisingly quiet in the hotel. My adult son and I were in room 13, the highest room in the building. Although our room was only a few $ more than regular rooms, it was called a deluxe apartment, and was an incredibly spacious room, with a small kitchenette (stove burner, sink, fridge), a large bed and large sofa bed that the staff was kind enough to make into a bed for us in advance of our arrival. Very clean room. The bathroom has obviously been updated and is roomy and posh. The front desk staff (Kadri in the mornings, and a young man who is a college student in the afternoon/evening -- I think his name is Pepe?) were both soo kind and helpful (Kadri in her advance correspondence with me, and Pepe in helping me set up a day trip via ferry to Tangiers when we arrived at the hotel). For parking, my son pulled the car up near the hotel -- I dashed in to check in and get info on parking. We parked at a nearby lot, which was only about $20 a day. We stayed in five different cities during our visit to Spain this August, and this was definitely our favorite hotel of all. I highly, highly, highly recommend!!!
We stayed two nights in order to visit Tangier. The hotel location is very convenient to the port. The bus station is a bit of a walk, but easy enough. Our room overlooked a bar/restaurant that was open late, so we needed earplugs, but otherwise a very comfortable stay. We were afraid we were going to miss the 15:00 front desk closure, but Kadri was so helpful in arranging self check-in if needed; luckily we arrived in time.
This was a great place in the center of everything.
Great place
The property was absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. The hospitality was exceptional. I highly recommend this gem in Tarifa.
Beautiful
This was the most beautiful room to stay in! The inter design and the balconies overlooking the old town are wonderful! The central location could not be better. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Overall an amazing experience!
Very hard to find, but in the heart of it all. Parking a short walk away.
Great hotel
Great hotel in the centre of Tarifa. Digital check in and room key available on app made check in quick and easy. Good size room with comfortable bed.
It was very clean . Comfy bed and pillows. Nice shower. Staff very nice- check in easy. Breakfast right next door was very nice also. Walkable to ferry , beach to watch the kite surfers. Shops all around. One tip is entrance on the side down the alley next to the cafe.
Location doesn’t get any better. Lovely staff.
Wonderful
Located in the old city and walking distance to everything. Wonderful apartment with great amenities. Clean, comfortable and good value.
Great stop in Tarifa
Great location and very clean and comfortable. Loved the memory foam pillow option and good ac/heater. Tasty restaurant below.
Great location and room but no one was available at the property other than the staff of the restaurant downstairs
Great value in the heart of the old city
High-quality room + affordable rate = high value. Located smack dab in the heart of the walled old city on a lively street with fun cafes, restaurants and bakeries. Cute gift shops are within a short walk. One block from the cathedral. Very convenient brief walk to the ferry. Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived after reception was closed but they also run a restaurant on the ground floor where the wait staff doubles as reception staff. The room was good size with basic amenities in the kitchenette.
Comfortable unit, charming view of a lively street
Big enough for 4 people, top-quality, a very convenient mini-kitchen. Our room directly overlooks a charming Old European street full of cute restaurants, full of life. Great vibe. Yet affordable. Super-competent staff who were fleible with our check-in time. The restaurant downstairs is great, too.
Great place. Would highly recommend
Great location
The hotel was perfect, clean, and located in the best part of town. Our room faced the street and it never got too noisy. I would stay her again
Perfectly located in the old part of town, close to the port, restaurants and bars all walkable distance
Unique property, friendly staff. Location is perfect.
Loved our time here.
Wonderful property next to dining, coffee, bakeries, and the port.
Very very creaky bed
Bed was small and very creaky if you moved slightly it would Keane up other person No service as such except for cleaning Billed as romantic room Least romantic room we have stayed in no balcony views just walk 2 feet away
Amazing boutique hotel near the port. We stayed here for a night to depart next morning to Tangier Morocco. The host was very welcoming and the hotel’s location is very central to shops and restaurants.
It was amazing
Nice place, I’d be happy to stay again
Center place
Carolina at the front desk was an absolute gem!
Good, with caveats.
Staff is only on site a few hours a day so you must arrange to meet in advance. We had several flights of stairs and no elevator, so don’t stay here if you don’t like stairs. We couldn’t get the TV to work, although we did get Netflix. The deluxe apartments and bathrooms are smaller than they appear online, and apartment #s 9 and 12 looked cuter than our #13, which was the last one available. But the views were good from our apt (sky, roof tops, and castle in the distance) and quiet, despite being in the middle of the old city.
Love the place
Love the place such a great atmosphere - the bar does great cocktails for pre abs after dinner drinks !! The food in the restaurant is excellent.
Nice property in old town. Street access sometimes blocked if you are driving and want to drop luggage. Nothing to do with the hotel. Sometimes open sometimes not. Room is silky done. Window is covered with curtain and shutters so is fairly dark. Otherwise a very good property 2wouldctecommend
Tarifa stay
Magnificent hotel
The receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful.
LOVED LOVED LOVED this place. I spoke a little Spanish and the greeter at the desk spoke a little English and together he helped answer my questions and gave helpful advice. The room was beautiful and comfortable, the shower nice and hot. Our room had two balconies with lovely views. The location is splendid - right in the midst of restaurants and shops and just a few minutes walk from the ferry. Can't recommend this place enough, wish we had more time there. Muchas gracias Siglo!
Great hotel in Tarifa
This place is great. It's in the middle of old Tarifa, but is quiet. The entrance is off of a side alley, not the main street. I had a hard time finding it at first, but once I did, all was good. My room had a historic feel to it, but had all the modern amenities I needed. And the view above the rooftops of old Tarifa is top notch.
We enjoyed our stay and the staff was wonderful. We stayed here before and after our trip to Morocco. The staff kept our luggage for us while we were gone and it was in our room when we returned. They also have a great restaurant on the first floor. There were many restaurants in the street area around the hotel. Nice place and very close to the ferry to Morocco
A great hotel right by the ferry. Big clean room and lots of restaurants . Great price too
Very nice property; however not appropiate for individuals with dissbilities. No elevator.
Great Stay at Silo XIX
We had a great stay at Siglo XIX. We stayed here 3 nights and would stay here again. Room was very clean and very large. Comfortable bed. Great location in the heart of old Tarifa. My only suggestion is they need to add a trap to the bathroom sink plumbing.
Fantastic hotel
I am really happy with Siglo XIX. The staff was great, the room was super clean and a decent size. The location is spot on!
Tarifa Will Delight You
Clean and super location. No need for mass transit. Five minute walk from ferry port.
Good location, nice rooms.
Great spot in old town Tarifa. Street facing apartments are a bit noisier as they are on a street with cafes and restaurants, some open to 1-2 am. But not loud bars. Rooms are big and clean, and recently upgraded. Good beds. Friendly staff. The entrance is in the little alley to the right of the building - not the front of the building as it would when you are standing out front.
