Perfect Option for Koh Samui

We had a phenomenal stay at this hotel for our honeymoon and would recommend it to any visitors to Koh Samui. The property is beautiful and the staff are very helpful.

Super service , very clean, beautiful sea view. The breakfast is very good with a soup bar.

It was perfect

Sheraton Samui has its charms, but overall, it felt a bit disappointing. The building is outdated, though well-maintained, but the shower facilities could use an upgrade as they felt old and unpleasant. The property has a lot of stairs, which may not be ideal for everyone. Unlike other hotels I’ve visited, the welcoming atmosphere felt lacking, with mixed staff experiences. The room was comfortable, and the pool area was a highlight, perfect for families. However, the location in Samui is less lively, with limited options for dining, shopping, and activities, making it less suited for solo travelers.

Being right on the beach was beautiful. The pool area is lovely and the restaurants and food choices great. Breakfast was amazing. The rooms are dated but perfectly comfortable. Bottled water was plentiful and not a problem to bring more.

amazing place with great service

Had a family of 5 vacationing. The kids had great time at the beach, be it on the kayaks or sups. The beach paid activities were great too (jet skis). 4 minute walk to 7-11, pharmacy, small restaurants and more. Water main broke once, but staff were on top of things and provided alternatives for the 4 hours there was no water, so we didn’t feel a thing. Food was good including the breakfast buffet. Staff were amazing, always happy to help and appear immediately when called.

Beautiful beachfront property with excellent breakfast - not to be missed. Staff are very nice and the service was impeccable. The property is in great condition and Sheraton standards are upheld well. Beach was clean and the clear water in the ocean stretched for miles. Vegetarian food was delicious with a good variety. Kids club had activities to keep the little ones busy. Calling the buggy to move around the property can take some time and needs patience. Only recommendation is that the main swimming pool near the beach should get proper tiles because the stones used in the pool hurt the soles after several hours of swimming and those not careful can get scraped on the legs really bad due to sloping sides in the pool.

It was simply perfect for us; a family of 4, including two kids, 10yo and 9 yo. The private beach and two pools. The breakfast and the restaurant food was so fresh and delicious!!

It’s a bit old but it’s still nice .. paid for ocean view and got a view of a bamboo fence .. the rooms 200-205 are not ocean view .. I’d have paid for a nicer room in hindsight had I have known

Spend your money elsewhere

Hotel needs a significant update. The general layout doesn’t work and the rooms need a significant renovation. Most of the staff are fantastic. The beach is amazing, the pools not so good, with some strange sharp pebble dash slabs around each pool, making it dangerous to get in and out of the pool. Check-in was very slow. Food was good, but spend your money elsewhere, this is the worst Marriott Bonvoy we have stopped at.

The resort has direct access to Chaweng Noi beach which was at the time of my visit in July very empty and quiet. The beach is just paradise, but so is resort as well. Delicious food, perfect service and friendly staff. Only downside is that the neighborhood is not very central, so nothing much to do and see outside of the resort. There are some dining places and a 7-11 located along a busy road which is challenging to cross. But if you want to just relax and stay on the beach for a whole week like I did, it’s great. The resort also offers tours for outdoor activities and rents out scooters or cars as well, if you want to get out.

Most of the plugs in the room were not working. Also my room was overlooking the restaurant and the noise from the extraction fans were annoying . Very nice beach at the front. Small gym but nice tennis court

Outstanding. Fantastic stafd who couldnt have been more helpful. One of the best beaches on Samui with crystal clear water.

We loved our stay food and the property. We questioned at the beginning of our stay that th room didnt have a safe to put our valuables which was a bit of a shock all rooms must have a safe. Anyway we got a sustainable amount of money taken from our room. If we had a safe that wouldnt of happened

The staff and services were very nice. However, the place has been aged so it was noisy with air-conditioning. Also, the transport cost was quite expensive to go out of the hotel to town. Honestly, I will book other hotel in Ko Samui next time with the moneys.

The property was rustic and beautiful, beach was excellent and so pretty, staff fantastic and highly accommodating. We would definitely staff here again without a second thought. 5***** Service with a smile.

All the staff at this property are very respectful and helpful. Although built on a hillside, transport is immediately available via golf buggy if required. The choice at breakfast is amazing and caters for all nationalities. The areas are clean and well cared for, although our room was in need of a small amount of maintenance which cannot be avoided with continuous use. The issue we had with the room was rectified within 30 minutes of being reported. Well done to everyone at the resort, we will be returning in 2025.

Be prepared to climb to your room!

There is not mention that there rooms on the higher floors have no elevator. There's a lot of climbing in this property.

Offbeat path, quiet, great breakfast, nice pool, and clean beach.

The staff are so wonderful, from front desk, restaurants, pool staff. They're so polite, helpful, provide great customer service! This made our stay at the hotel memorable. The surrounding is well kept and very nice. The room/bathroom are very spacious but an upgrade of the furniture to Sheraton Standard would be nice. The food in the restaurant are great. Longtay restaurant has authentic Thai dishes. We love the Blue Monkey Bar. Overall we had a very nice stay at Sheraton

Believe the reviews!! This place is not what it appears to be. The property has so much potential but it has clearly been let go for many years. The positives: - Gardens are nice and well-kept. - Food is nice at the restaurant(s). - Nice beachfront location with plenty of chairs available. The negatives: - The check-in agent immediately advised us that we should have booked through them directly and not through Expedia (I thought this was very inappropriate). - Rooms situated close to the road are super noisy as it's next to the highway and you can hear cars/motorcycles accelerating up the hill all night. - Air-conditioning is noisy and needs to be replaced - Rooms are scuffed and worn, need a complete renovation/repaint. - The 'Mediterranean' style of the external buildings does not suit the area and makes the buildings look dirty/run down from the outside. - The Pools are okay, but there is no 'wow' factor like a swim up bar. The pool close to the ocean needs to be bigger/deeper etc. I booked a 5 star hotel expecting an amazing experience for our honeymoon (as the professional pictures depict). Wee requested to be moved to a quieter room, so they moved us to a much better room in a quieter part of the resort. Still, most of the negative factors remained. So we ended up leaving halfway through, forfeiting half of our already paid room with no refund. We cut our losses and moved to a much better 5 star resort.

Beautiful beachhotel

We had an absolutely beautiful stay in the Sheraton Samui Resort, it is just 20 minutes from the Airport and lots of Restaurants , Shops and Massage Parlours. The resort is build on multilevel with two very nice pools, the second pool is by the beach. The breakfast comes in a buffet and let no questions open, you find all kind of food. Amazing. Our room was spacious with a nice balcony to the sea.

The property is old and outdated for a five star resort. The staff are friendly and the food is good though

Really lovely overall. I went with my 5 and 10 year old children and they loved it. The staff were incredible. I always notice the smallest of details and rated their cleanliness as 4 stars but overall still a great place.

Very nice and romatic place

Our stay was amazing! The level of service was top notch. Our suite was spacious and beautiful; it was very comfortable for a family of 6. The pool right along the beach was perfect, and the staff was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed promptly, helped set up transportation when needed, and made us feel welcome. They seemed to always know what we needed, even without us asking. I would definitely stay here again!! Well done!

Quiet with lovely staff and facilities

My spouse and I recently stayed at the Sheraton Koh Samui Resort and we were left feeling disappointed with our experience. While the hotel had some positive aspects, such as its location and facilities, there were several issues that detracted from our stay. Firstly, we had booked and paid for a larger guest room with a king-size bed and a larger balcony with sea view, but upon check-in, we were offered a lower category room with a double bed. The staff member who assisted us with check-in was not particularly helpful and did not seem interested in addressing the issue or finding a solution that would better suit our needs. Although our room was eventually changed next day, it still did not meet the standards we had expected. The view from the room was not as advertised and the amenities were not up to par for the price we had paid. Furthermore, we were disappointed with the customer service we received during our stay. Staff members were often unresponsive and unhelpful, particularly during late check-in. It was clear that the hotel could do better in terms of training their staff to provide a higher level of customer service. Overall, while the Sheraton Koh Samui Resort has some positive features, our experience was marred by several issues that made it difficult for us to fully enjoy our stay. We would not recommend this hotel to other travelers looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience in Koh Samui.

Excellent staff, personalised service

Best Samui Resort

This is our second time back to this resort within two months. We love it here. The staff are super friendly and helpful, like Nonay or May at the front desk or Nit at the breakfast area. The location is very central, the beach and pool are lovely, breakfast is the best and rooms with a view are amazing.

Decent but not great

Enjoyed our stay. Decent property but can do better. The property is a bit rundown and needs an upgrade. The breakfast restaurant is located in a block near the reception while the other restaurants are located near the beach and one needs a buggy to go from one end to another which can be a pain at times. There are no elevators and one needs to take number of steps to get to the rooms. This can be an issue for some senior folks or with people having knee issues. We booked a sea facing large room that was in the block near the restaurant - overall satisfied with the room and stay but given Sheraton our expectations were much higher. Breakfast is good. Pools are average but it’s connected to the beach so that’s a plus.

The staff at this hotel made everything east they were very attentive and proactive about our needs. Made the whole stay relaxing.

Amazing staff and good location. Rooms need some updating and pool area was disappointing. Great food and spa, overall good!

We stayed for 4 nights. The overall experience was average. Although the property is located at a good location with easy access to the beach, the service was very inconsistent. There were limited dining options and often the food served was cold and.not upto the standards. Although the staff was very friendly, once can see that they were under staffed and not very well trained. The room cleanliness was also below par.

All inclusive is not all inclusive

Rude staff with appalling customer experience. I was wrongly charged for my all inclusive package and when complained, I was asked to provide the name of staff that told me my package was all inclusive. You better remember the name of every single staff member when in doubt.

A great Resort that has everything you need

Hotel: The hotel is located a bit far from everything and if you did not come by car or bike you should rent a scooter to get around. Also the hotel is built into a cliff which means it can get pretty exhausting to walk so many stairs. The have a golf cart service but only to the main spots Room: It is well maintained and comfortable. Not too big... Not too small. Pool: The pool itself is good and also have an area where it is deep. But honestly it should be cleaned a bit more often. I guess during covid and lack of hotel guests that was not really an priority at that time. Breakfast: Only 1 word. Amazing !!! One of the best breakfast experiences I ever had in an hotel. They basically have everything. Staff: Just amazing. Everyone was so kind and helpful with all our needs. I couldn't ask for anything more. Thank all of you for an outstanding service.

The staff here are sooo lovely and sweet! We came here for our honeymoon and they constantly went out of their way to make us feel special. The food / buffet breakfast is absolutely incredible with a huge variety of both western and eastern foods. The venue itself is beautifully set, with lovely gardens and trees, and the rooms well designed. Daily room service absolute tip top. Hoping we can come back soon!

Very Disappointing

The entire hotel needs a FULL renovation, particularly the guest rooms...they have tried painting over dark wood surfaces with white paint and looks like used one coat of paint.. even in the breakfast area. Service was poor, ordering a drink at the pool bar seemed to take forever for the drink to arrive particularly during happy hour... even though there were hardly any guests around! The food was terrible and the wait staff always mixed up orders and delivered to the wrong table. Certainly not 5 star, lucky if it’s 2.

Near the beach but transportation n service level and activities offered was not as per recommended in media.

The staff were friendly and always wanting to help. The pool by the beach was fantastic. Food and drinks were a bit expensive though.

A couple of the concierge/drivers were grumpy but all the other staff were polite and courteous. Hotel is a little dated but clean. Beach was generally clean but some litter (plastics) which the hotel staff didn't bother to clean.

Rooms weren’t cleaned properly and the chairs were dirty. Absent management who didn’t respond to complaints. However other staff were very friendly, polite and helpful and the spa was pricey but excellent.

Beautiful beach front & 2 amazing pools. Staff were excellent, friendly and never pushy. Security was great too. Nothing was ever too much for anyone. That Spa was amazing also.

Best Island Escapade deal

food was really excellent !!! A definite place for relaxation. Your staff are awesome as well. All are polite✅✅✅ and helpful♥️♥️♥️. we will definitely be back with our kid’s☺️. Our anniversary trip is wrapped with all ur amazing surprises🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉. near to airport:) the shuttle is quite not convenient as the timing is until 1020pm and for 70 baht per way is kinda pricey

Very luxury feel to resort. Staff could not do enough for you. I'm coeliac and breakfast chef bent over backwards everyday to make my breakfast best I've had in any resort.

Great spot for a getaway

The stairs are a bummer but you get used it. Great staff. Some reviews complained that place needed work, but it seemed in excellent shape to me. If you get a room facing the road, don'tt worry about the street noise. I honestly never heard it. Also, the grounds are amazing.

Did like the staff, breakfast menu and swimming pool(2), beach could be more cleaned and room also could be more cleaned repainted and refurbished, many cracks found in the wall and ceiling, also have a night club beside the hotel(south side).

Excellent location, friendly staff and cleanliness

Beautiful location, very clean property and beach. The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. We were close enough to Chaweng town to walk (on an adventurous day) but the taxis were cheap, and the hotel provided an easy shuttle. I liked that we weren’t right in the middle of town. Just close enough.

Fantastic staff they are so polite. Big shout out to Kanika who looked after us and was very caring during my stay as I wasn’t well. Hotel is very lovely, bathroom very poor and run down need updating. The spa also require a mskecover it’s very dull and the nail polish used there was very poor quality. Highlight of this hotel is the friendliness of the staff

The staff went above and beyond for us. Was surprised at the extensive buffet. The kids pool and area was terrific.

Just that the meals and charges after checkin cannot be charged to the credit card which I book this hotel with. This created some inconvenience.

Beautiful Property

Had a great stay at Sheraton. The hotel has beautiful views and a secluded corner of the beach. We had a smooth check-in and being low-season the staff also showed us few rooms to choose from which was a good gesture. however having stayed at other Sheraton and Marriott properties I felt that the facilities (No steam room) and staff courtesy could have been better. Many times on requesting the cart service the drivers were not courteous and a bit rude. The shuttle bus service though chargeable is pretty convenient to use. Overall an excellant stay with beautiful sea view from our room.

All staff were friendly and showed great courtesy to customers. The room was a bit old, the ventilation in the bathroom was making squeaky noise and the phone in the room didn't work.

Friendly Staff and excellent cuisine!

What made our stay all the more pleasant were the friendly staff. Most memorable to us was the head chef making his way to each and every table every morning and speaking to the guests. His personal touch was the icing on the cake for us!

The best breakfast ever

The breakfast in that hotel is one of the best we had in whole trip (All thanks goes to the kind and pleasant chef who shows a very high level of caring). The guard asks us to exit the pool at 19:30 and we were surprised (didn't happen at other hotels), the hotel is far from Chaweng beach, good for couple but if you look for more action go to mid part of Chaweng.

Very good hotel and good location with Family

Colonial style resort on great location. The rooms especially the bathrooms are quite dated. The lowest speed on the aircon sounds like a Boeing jet taking off. The restaurants have a Danish chef (Mr. Asker Bay) who secures that quality is absolutely excellent. At breakfast all the foods that should be served cool are in a separate room with automatic sliding doors. The bread is freshly baked on site and not store bought - there is even fresh dark rye bread and Danish pastry. All home baked. Bacon, sausages etc are laid on slices of toast, so that they don't "swim in fat". The egg station is well manned. Ms Pan is especially smiling and friendly and remembers how each guest prefers their eggs. The restaurant is however too small if all guests wish to eat at the same time. The Blue Monkey Beach Bar is great - you can order from the complete menu of the Long Talay restaurant. Jinny at the Beach Bar seems to have the "special touch" for customer service and inspires her colleagues to keep the same high standard. Service is best when she is there. The hotel would do well in promoting her. The beach front pool is a nice depth on one side, however the surface is very rough small stones which hurt your feet and the slanting edges all round the pool make it seem a lot smaller than its surface suggests. The Sheraton should remodel it to be a regular pool with a smooth surface and normal straight sides.

Luxury stay with great staff!

Upon arrival, first impressions were very good. Staff were friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable. It was quite refreshing after experience bad customer service at the last hotel (which will not be named) we stayed in. Even the drink on arrival was a pleasant touch! The room was perfect- spacious, clean, modern, and the bed was comfortable too. The pool area backing onto the beach is amazing, It feels like your own private beach! And the buffet breakfast is the best I have ever experience, biggest variety and fresh ingredients used. It honestly put me in the best mood every morning. I could not fault this hotel, the suggestion I would make to guests staying here is to be weary of mosquitoes when leaving the room or opening the door to your balcony. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would want to experience good service and luxury in Koh Samui

Nice hotel but dining experience can be improved

We particularly loved the resorts' white interior rooms and spacious balcony. The interior decor and serene tropical gardens made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Since its away from the main town district, we mostly stayed in and had our meals within the vicinity of the hotel. Unfortunately, we found the dining experience to be substandard. Breakfast selection was disappointing, the food was not tasty, the service was slow and food prep was unsatisfactory. I found a plastic in my mushroom soup. Though the hotel staff was kind to give me a complimentary dessert following such incident, I feel there's still room for improvement in the dining experience of this resort.

Beautiful resort on the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay but if we were planning to explore you really need to rent a car or be prepared to pay a lot for taxis. There is very little that you can walk to. If you want a resort vacation it is excellent. Great breakfast (inc), beach & views are awesome.

The room is tiered

The hotel facilities are fine and the beach is great however the rooms need upgrade and have more charm. They are too common and appears used and abused.

Nice comfortable hotel on the beach

We stayed for 3 nights and had a comfortable stay. The property is nice, the rooms are good and the staff is great. But a huge challenge is the limited lunch/ dinner options. There is only one restraunt and that too has a limited menu. The other restraunt, Coco-Spice only serves breakfast.

The hotel property is quite small with comfortable, but not plush, rooms and a single restaurant.

Beautiful and Peaceful

Had a fantastic 10 day stay here. The location is stunning and the staff exemplary. Shout out to Michael, the newly appointed manager, who made us feel very welcome. When it was quiet, it was such a relaxing place to be. But it can get a bit noisy if large groups with children descend at the weekends. However, the resort is so large you can always find a quiet place corner to tuck yourself into. Drones do need to be banned outright, however, they are becoming more and more a nuisance. The breakfast was fantastic, really varied and all well cooked. If possible, include breakfast on your booking. The rooms were lovely, but could do with a quick coat of paint, but Michael said all that is in hand. Good to see a resort where up-keep is important. The bar prices can be 4x that of the local shops down the road, and 2x bars in the town, but that is true of all resorts. Recommend the poolside BBQ and the pork skewers for lunch! Tip: Ask for sea views!

Disappointing stay at the Sheraton

We booked into the Sheraton as our 'best' 5 star hotel of our Asia trip for 7 nights in early September 2017. We were very disappointed with the exterior of our room which was in a large concrete block. It felt like we were in a UK council estate, not a 5 star resort. Outside the room was a large dark / damp patch where rain water had been dripping over a long period. We experienced several problems during our stay and had far too many interactions with the general manager (although he was very helpful and pleasant on each occasion). Problems were: cooking smell in room, faulty air-conditioning in room (required 2 calls for resolution), unannounced construction (loud drilling) in an adjacent room, extremely loud unannounced party music from a neighbouring hotel/bar keeping us awake until 2am on Friday night / Saturday morning, TV crashed twice (required a call out and hard reset). The TV problem re-occurred but I just reset in myself. Staff service was very mixed in the hotel. Check-in: good. Breakfast: excellent. Restaurant by beach - moderate/slow. Beach: poor. Check-out: perfunctory and not very friendly. The hotel requires a lot of investment in its general fabric and doesn't warrant 5 stars. We found the signage poor and after a thunderstorm there was a lot of water in the rear of the lobby area (roof needs replacement). There were several broken recliners by the beach. On the plus side, the pool area is nice and the beach is great for swimming.
