This room was not worth the nearly $200 we paid for it. It’s very dated, bed was hard, pillows very flat, the shower screen was broken and replaced with a curtain and the air conditioner was in a corner behind a cupboard so it didn’t really serve the purpose from where it was. We go to Wollongong often but won’t return here again

Nice stay ( 1 nite ). Room was great sith only small problems - basin tap wS too small and filli g kettle was best thru the shower. Water pressure made some terrible niises at times and road was used as a race track by hoons up until about 10 pm. Other than yhose minir grumbles the stay was great and food at the restaurant was terrific

Old, dilapidated. No renovation or property improvement of any kind. Definitely overpriced and misleading as to what we were getting.

Perfect for when visiting family and friends, rooms are big, beds are comfortable, not modern or brand new but always clean. Some facilities like pool and tennis if you wish to spend time at the motel. Walkable to the beach.

Toilet was running the whole time and taps ‘groaned’ every time you turned it on. Road was noisy outside. But it was clean and tidy. Reception was very friendly and helpful when I arrived. Pool and tennis court looked nice and clean too

It is a basic Motel but only took 14 minutes to walk into the shopping and restaurant area.

Staff were excellent. The name of resort needs to be changed to motel ans that’s what it is and price needs to be reduce to about $100 per night compared to other beautiful places I have stayed at for the same price. An old bandaid was left in the shower which makes you think how clean the rest of the room was eg sheets etc. Again could not fault the staff.

Bathroom tap sounded like a freight train when turned on. Pillows were very high and lumpy and sheets pilly. Money needs to be spent on improving the rooms.

This place is far from a resort. With the amount they charge per night, far from worth it and I can’t believe they charge so much for an awful old place. The room smelled really bad. The bed spreads and blankets were not clean. There was hair on the blankets likely from the previous people. The bathroom was old and smelled and not clean in the shower. I didn’t step foot in there. And it just felt overall awful and made my skin itch. Furthermore the tv was super old, so don’t expect to watch Netflix or try to stream from your device. Don’t waist your money, it’s not worth it.

Restaurant was closed, toilet wouldn’t stop flushing unless you pulled the knob up, bathroom sink continues to run, no exhaust fan in bathroom, toilet paper small squares you pull from a box. To fill the kettle you have to use a small class as it doesn’t fit u der the bathroom sink faucet.

The title resort is hardly warranted.

Disappointing lack of equipment in room, had a toaster and jug but no cutlery at all - not even a teaspoon to stir the tea/coffee. Bathroom was tired with some cracked tiles but clean. Only two hard chairs. Beds on the other hand were comfortable.

Location was convenient as we were visiting relatives close by. Didn't find out until half way through our short stay that daily room makeup was not included, although we had a standard motel room. When booking we requested a quiet room & found that two of our five nights stay there were very noisy motel guests staying above our room, basically partying most of the night or talking very loud until late in the night, making it very hard to sleep. Ground floor location was good & that we could park directly outside our room.

Noisy, outdated, dirty sheets on bed ( found a long black hair on bed ), tap handle kept spinning in bathroom, ventilation fan in bathroom didn’t work, you can heat everything going on in other rooms BUT reception staff were friendly and welcoming!

This is great value - super close to beaches and other things in the area, staff are super helpful and lovely people.

The accommodation and the location suited our needs and there was plenty of parking out the front. We ate several meals at the restaurant and the food was most enjoyable.

Retro affordability

Older style with mod cons. Very affordable and I will now use this as my main stay in Shellharbour.

It is dated but it is comfortable. the only downside is not the right cutlery or glasses to drink out of in the room. Had dinner the first night at the onsite restaurant food was good, however then I could not have the left overs later when I was hungry because no cutlery in the room. A chair on the balcony would be nice as well. Overall good though right price good location.

All was good but the tennis equipment we had borrowed and left in our room when we went out for dinner was taken back from the room without informing us. I would have appreciated if they would have rung us before.

An Average Choice

Make sure you search the name of this resort on Google Map ... becoz the GPS will guide you to the wrong place if you search by it's address. The Front Desk is not very helpful when I called her for direction after I was lost. It's restaurant is closed for renovation & this resort is sitting on nowhere near anything within walking distance. Again the Front Desk is not very helpful making recommendation re where to eat. It's swimming pool is located between the highway & the resort ... which is an odd place to be becoz it is not quiet neither private. Quite discouraging. The room is good sized & clean nonetheless "not new". Got more TV channels than the usual which is nice. They always left the window towards the highway opened. So if you're bother by the noise, go check your windows & close them. If you prefer fresh air than A/C you can keep the bathroom's window open instead. Works well for me. There's no extra blanket in the room. So if you're feeling cold, the only thing that could save you is the A/C. Whether I would stay here again next time I'm in town ? ... may be. After all it is NOT the best nor the worst place I've been to at similar price range in the neighborhood.

The shower and toilet needs a Reno. The bed was not comfy and moved from the bed head. Pillows and bed sheets Need renewing. The carpet smelly and old.

Was okay for what we needed at short notice, not quite ‘resort’ worthy. Having dispensers for shampoo and soap etc was a great idea, but need to ensure they are filled appropriately before guests arrive.

The best thing about this place was the attentive staff. We had a few very small room issues (non-working lights) but the staff sorted them out straight away and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Going back in time

Staying at Shellharbour resort was a bit like going back to the 70's. The room itself was fine - roomy and the furniture was in decent shape. There were several dead beetles on the floor, but at least they were not moving. The bathroom has not had any work done to it since the building was built. The shower enclosure door appeared to have broken, but rather than install a new door, there was a shower curtain over the opening. Rather than toilet paper rolls, there was a public toilet style dispenser that dispensed a sheet at a time. The shower pressure was great, and no shortage of hot water. All in all, fine for a night on the road.

Shellharbour

It has nice swimming pool and tennis court. Rooms are spacious. Free coffee and tea and microwave. Older style hotel but clean.

For 2 People the unit was very small, the toilet shower and washing facilities quite restrictive, probably ideal for one person attending a conference or a training session.

Positives: Staff was lovely, clean room with comfortable bed, movie channels were a nice bonus. Improvement areas: very poor wifi; restaurant was closed which I only found out at check-in (you could order in via QR code, though). All in all it served the purpose of a short-term stay, however, I'd describe it as a motel rather than what you associate with a "resort and conference centre".

Access to region and not expensive

Night girl was horriblw made us fill like we were an inconviniance
