We enjoyed saying there and would definitely come back!!
Prices were high for the poor quality room. Tile’s in shower were broken, peeling on floor in bathroom, shower water did not stay warm. Being oceanfront was nice.
amazing weekend stay!!
Room was not the cleanest and very small and cramped. Breakfast was basically non existing. Location was perfect and easy access to beach.
Overpriced
Rundown and the room smelled moldy Only thing is the location Loud on the weekends Way overpriced for the room
The check in staff especially Elisa was Amazing
It was very clean. It was very noisey and staff was not very helpful. Very little on site parking. Asked for a replacement coffee maker and never received one. Ours did not work.
Horrible room. Noise. Broken bed.
This is not a quite place because its next to a music venue. But by 11 pm it gets calm. The staff was amazing and there isn’t a better location.
Needs help hotel
Hotel is fairly run down. Limited parking.
Windjammers had loud concerts and music and drunk patrons loitering in the parking area and using the parking stalls
We enjoyed our girls weekend, we loved the porch area facing the beach, it was perfect for watching the sunrise every morning
Nice room for quick stay!
Bed was comfy and clean. Shower was decent, towels were not the best quality. Great access to the beach.
Room was small but worked for us. The only complaint was the doors closer was messed up and was hard to open the door.
The front desk staff was excellent, they helped us when our TV wasn’t working and with the check-in because we showed up a day early.
Convenient to area restaurants. They need to add curtains over the blinds. With the outside lights the room doesn't get dark enough for sleeping.
Parking was a pain, the little garage underneath the building is very narrow. The room was great, until a hinge on the door broke (didn’t hinder the function of the door). Bring some ear plugs if you don’t enjoy live music that plays till midnight and makes it sound like someone could be banging on your door but it turns out it’s the drummer banging out (great music though)
Okay but oceanfront at least
The staff was friendly, and it was nice having an affordable oceanfront room. However, majority of the room was clean, but details like dust cakes on lamp shades and the sliding balcony door was very stuck and hard to open. There is a lot of maintenance needed for walk ways that are peeling up. Parking was not good, the parking under the building is tight and very few spaces. Once it feels, there’s a back up lot across the Main Street. Also it’s next to a bar that has live music. If you want to sit out and enjoy the concert that’s great. It is LOUD so might as well not try to sleep until after the bands are done.
Staff is very supportive and friendly. Hotel is good and have nice view.
great hotel at a good price, simple for the beach
Friendly staff at the front desk, helpful and efficient
It was a nice hotel in the ocean, unfortunately for us, it was a chilly week!
Limited parking, very noisy on our side of the hotel. Rooms are very small.
The heat didnt work well. And seeing as to how it was 36°F outside we kind of needed that.
There was no bar soap in the room and the showerhead was very weak water flow
Nice but water view it does not have.
This property was shabby at best. The snow was not shoveled, the elevator did not work, the bathroom shower was a bit dirty, there was a 3” hole at the base of the molding around the door inside the bathroom. I would never stay in this facility again.
Beds not so great, no blackout shades so all the light from hallway is seen at night. Parking is very tight. There was hardly no one there other than us and put us in a room furthest away from beach view. Stated better rooms but those are not offered to third party bookings but could upgrade me for triple the cost. Needed a room cause our stay was extended and our current place was already booked by other guests will probably not return here. Too many other places that are nicer for the price.
It was a good stay. It's just an older property. They always need upgrading.
Gnats flying throughout our room as well as going to the store and buying cleaning supplies to clean the room. Shower had huge crack in tile just didn’t feel “clean” Bought food as well and put in the fridge and lost our food because it was not working properly. Wish they would’ve upgraded us to a nicer room but didn’t do anything. Was supposed to check out on Friday but checked out early due to these issues Made me think why we came on vacation if we had to clean our own room on vacation. Would say the guy I spoke with at the end of our stay was better than the other two we talked to. Parking is terrible luckily it was free parking out on the street since it’s there slow time.
Nice getaway
It was a lovely getaway to welcome the new year. The friendly staff, comfortable beds, and excellent access to the beach and surrounding venues made it a great place to spend the weekend. I only recommend providing curtains to cover the windows, as the shutters didn't block out the bright outdoor lighting.
The property is rundown with unsafe staircases. Location was great.
Beach!!!!
Nice stay, on the beach! Photos are from the railing in front of our room.
Stay at Seaside
The stay was good with the exception of a couple things. The heat/air didn’t work properly annd was hard to regulate the temperature and the bed linen was not the best. Fitted sheet was worn and wouldn’t stay on mattress. All else was good. The room was overall good for the price.
Didn't like that our room smelt like a wet dog had been in there. Yeah we asked for a pet friendly room but no other pet friendly places smelt like a wet dog. Was not pleased with the room for the price paid. $740 for 3 nights for a bed and a shower. We did not have any chairs in the room no table . It said it had a partial ocean view but that is not a ocean view from the window. They need a better description. The staff was very friendly and helpful for anything we needed. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast that they offer but never mentioned at check in our on the site.
I was in Charleston for a wellness day for myself. And I am so happy I stayed at this hotel. The place was clean, it was quiet, even though the hotel was packed, it’s right on the ocean and the view is beautiful. The only thing is the parking underneath. The building only has maybe seven or eight spots, but you can park all along the street or they have their own dedicated parking lot off the main drag. Will stay here again, lots of good dining options!
I had a late check in and I had to walk to the sister property to check in by myself at night with all my luggage. Not very convenient.
There were some nice things about the property, it was on the beach, affordable and the staff was nice when I interacted with them. The parking garage is scary tiny. I believe it would be hard to get in and out of if it was full. Also the partial view rooms do not have a partial view, therefore they need to update the way they describe them.
Great location
Faults Advertisement…If I could of give this review zero stars I would have… this motel needs a remodel
Good experience
Reasonable accommodation
Nice location. Parking was available. It was off season so not many people. Bar next door has live music. If it where in season I think the noise would have bothered me.
Clean rooms, convenient
We enjoyed a perfect Autumn weekend at the beach, complete with playful dolphins just off the shore. Convenient and good value in IOP.
Really outdated bathroom and shower. Needs repairs and replaced. Rusty, metals etc. We will never stay there or the other hotel on the Isle of Palms.
It was okay for a stay but the pictures are misleading
Moving daughter to area.
My daughter and I in town for her move to area. Hotel was great. Beachfront, on site parking available. Bars and restaurants in walking distance. Very safe. Hotel staff great. Elise helped me schedule our next trip there in 2 weeks.
Good stay, convenient location, great price
This was a pleasant stay in a convenient location. It was Oceanside and walking distance to all that IOP has to offer, which is great. The reason for choosing this place was that it was dog friendly. They have an included continental breakfast with offerings such as “make your own pancakes”, fruit, juice, cereal and hard boiled eggs (but nowhere to sit, so you have to take it back to your room). The room was comfortable, but the bathroom could use an update. Also there was no carpet, it had tile which made it feel cold. However, maybe we were given this room because we had a dog…so if that was the case it’s understandable. Now, it’s located very close to a bar/concert venue, so if you’re not a fan of loud music, this place it’s kind of loud. However, we were treated to a “free” concert next door from one of the balconies…so we didn’t mind. We would stay there again for its location, and price.
The elevator was broken our entire visit of 4 days. We had to drat our bags and do 3 flights of stairs with all of our luggage and everytime we left the property. Also, our second night the fire alarm went off and the building was evacuated while the fire department checked out the building. We never received any word on what the problem was or anything.. never addressed. Very poor customer service.
My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights this week. The staff was nice, however the room smelt like mold and old corn, to the point where I developed a cough. The shower was overflowing, the smoke alarms literally went off from shower steam. Mold behind the bed. Stains on the sheets. Location was great but this hotel honestly felt so dirty.
I had a great time at Isle of Palms. Seaside Inn was a perfect spot just to rest at night. There are walkable restaurants and pubs on the street, making it easily accessible. It is also right on the beach and I loved being able to go for walks. The staff were terrific and accommodating all the time. Unfortunately, there were a couple of things, like the fire alarm going off twice in one day about three hours apart because of a shower(apparently). Also, the elevator was not working, and only on the day I left were people working on it. There are visible maintenance issues, when looking closely, but overall I enjoyed my stay.
Elevators not working, the fire alarm keeps on going off, the rooms are not the same as advertised.
Nice location. Elevator out during our stay.
The pictures posted online are very misleading. The entire property needs updating. The microwave in the room did not work. The fridge leaked overnight and soaked some of my belongings. There are no curtains on the windows, and the mini blinds do not block the hall lights. One of the pictures posted online is of a sun deck with lounge chairs. There are no chairs only two older picnic tables. I don’t typically complain, but this was truly disappointing.
elevator did not work and was very hard for a 75 and a 73 year old getting up and down stairs with luggage and accessing all other amenities.
No worth it.
The room was too small. The beds were old and very uncomfortable. When we arrived there were no signs telling us where to park to check in. They don’t have on site parking. We won’t stay here again. The window didn’t have curtains, we couldn’t keep the light out of the room. It was hard to sleep.
Very nice beachfront hotel, appreciate the toiletries, nicest staff, and great breakfast.
The elevator wasn't working but the area was beautiful and it was walking distance to the beach which is really nice.
good stay for beach and venue access
Not worth what we paid
We were not that impressed with our stay at Seaside Inn. Our room was rather small and not well maintained. There was rust around the bathroom door frame, the paint job was horrible - in the shower it dripped down the ceramic & over metal fixtures. Smoke alarm went off daily when taking a shower. We were frustrated that we asked at check-in if we could switch rooms because some of the side rooms had more open, clearer views of the beach. Ours was directly across from a building blocking the view significantly. We were told they were fully booked and didn't have anything at the moment since it was a Sat when we checked in. They told us to check back the next day. Even on Sun they still said they didn't have anything but would call us if someone checked out. They did call once but the room offered was one with a view even more blocked than where we were. Later that evening though, we could see that many of the rooms were available because cleaning would leave blinds open with the lights on so at night it was obvious no one was in the rooms. Also many of those rooms were updated significantly over ours. They had nicer furniture and remodeled bathrooms with glass doors. So they simply weren't moving us because they must have been a different price point. But honestly, the hotel was half empty the last night we stayed (Sat, Sun, Mon) so they could have upgraded us if they'd wanted to so we would have been more satisfied. Will likely not return here. Elevator wasn't working.
Very kind and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Fridge was unable to cool due to accumulation of ice
Trip to Florida
This was a great place right on the ocean. Perfect for weekend getaway. Plenty of places to eat and drink plus shop at. The room has everything we needed in it.
The elevator was out and we had to carry luggage to the 3rd floor. Our car was towed from their parking ($350). The staff was extremely rude and picked a fight with us over the towing.. Housekeeping staff were talking loudly outside our room at 73pam and had to be asked to move.we checked out a day early.
The area and accessibility of the beach were wonderful! We walked to restaurants to eat and souvenir shops too. Quick easy drive to Charleston. It is an older hotel, and i understand being next to the beach does come with certain caveats. But our room definitely had a musty smell and our flat sheets were damp, they blamed the "humidity " , but none of the other bedding was damp just the flat sheet. All in all it wasn't terrible I'm glad we had this opportunity to stay on the beach, the area is lovely!
Beautiful beach. Room had everything we needed. Staff was AWESOME. Great stair workout!
Get a way trip
The place is quaint but not modern. I needed to work online and the WiFi was adequate. However, there was no desk to work from and no chair. Had to sit in bed to work on my computer. The elevator was out of order and the steps were hard for me with my bad hip. Luckily we were only staying for two nights. Good restaurants within walking distance. Right on the beach.
Outdated property. Good location, right on beach. Mildew smell in rooms and quite sad looking.
Beautiful and right on the beach
Room too small and the curtain rod is old and rusty and so is the bathroom door bottom flame is rusted bathrooms too small and no soap dish holder feel like been ripped off for the price that I paid for, I thought I will have a nice roomy to celebrate and relaxing on my birthday but very disappointed and will not recommended to no one. We don’t even get the ocean views like they said on the advertised but we got charged for .
Right in the beach and low key for rest.
It is a great place but parking is bad
Charged $10/day to park. This was not listed when I booked. Room was old, worn out, and dirty. Shower wouldn't drain. Had to demand we be moved to a different room rather than wait until the next day for the repair man. The a/c didn't work properly in the second room. Floor and bathrooms dirty. Shower in second room was uneven and water gathered on opposite end from shower head. Outside is even worse. Old a/c units lying in the parking area and empty boxes from new units strewn around, along with a pile of random trash. Horrible, horrible, horrible. You should be ashamed of yourself, charging $130/ni for that joke of an oceanfront hotel!
Comfortable and convenient centrally located
Seaside Inn, Isle of Palms 🌴.
The hotel was amazing. Right on Ocean Blvd, the main strip, walking distance to everything. The room was very nice, and the view was breathtaking from the hotel to the beach. I'll definitely stay here every time I come to Isle of Palms 🌴🏖️🌊🌬️🌴.
This property needs a MAJOR update. The room smelled like mold as soon as we walked in and everything was really outdated and falling apart. The walls were peeling and chunks of wall were missing! A lamp fell apart, the water in the shower would puddle in a corner, the toilet handle had to be held the entire time or else it wouldn't flush, and this place had one of the WORST parking situations. The hotel charges you for parking and there's NOWHERE to park! You end up having to pay to park somewhere else. The staff were extremely friendly, so I guess that's something. Not worth it at all and would not recommend.
I did not like this property. The rooms do not look like the picture online. The room had holes in the wall, very dated and roaches. We did not stay.
Employees were very friendly and helpful Location was fantastic, easy access to beach, small but clean rooms and well taken care of Love that we could bring our pet 💛
Room did not look like what was described on site . Did not have ocean view. Only 2 rooms on each floor are facing the ocean . Room had mold behind bed , bathroom shower door was cracked and peeled away , rust around door frame of bathroom and chipped paint . Tv does not have as many channels as the guide says . Customer service is great . It does have its own entrance to he beach .
The property has a beautiful view of the water and easy access to get to it.
This is our second time to spend a week here. Sits right on the ocean, in a great location, clean, comfortable bed, and reasonably priced.
Dirty and rude staff
The Ocean view.
Beach access- walk to what you need
In walking distance to shopping and restaurants, right on the beach and music playing next door. Plus the free breakfast was nice. Things I didn't like was the toilet paper holder was broken, the shelf was broken in the shower, RM 112 and the roof top pool was super small and away from the beachside. The spray off shower was on one walkway only and you couldn't get to it unless you walked on that particularly crosswalk.
Pool was closed they didn’t tell us that when we checked in wish they had told us at time of check in
Thec motel is outdated. There was clutter outside. In tbe parking garage area thetr was a toliiet and building supplies sitting around everywhere. Looked bad for such a nice area. The place looked run down. Other neighbori g facilities looked so much nicer. Rooms small and need updating. No safety rails in shower. Pictures in ad are sonewhst deceiving. Will not stay at this motel again but the area its self was great! Good places to eat, shop .
Great place to stay!
Nice ocean view! The location was nice - many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The beds were very comfortable! The only problem (and it was minor) is that there were no ledges in the shower to put your soap & shampoo.
Cozy ocean front location.
Cozy room and loved the beach accessibility. Location is perfect! We never moved our car, bc everything was right around the hotel. The pool was very small and only 3 1/2 ft deep, so we never used it. Pancake breakfast was good, and staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Pool was very small liunge chair broken
Unbelievably disappointed in how much we paid to stay at this rundown hotel. Absolute rip off! We came for an event at the Windjammer next door so location seemed perfect. We arrived 2 hours before checkin and inquired if room was ready. We were told our room was ready but there would be $75 charge to check in prior to 4. We have never ever had a hotel charge us to check in early if a room was available. The room was small and dated. The worst part was the bathroom! Black mold along the ceiling, rusty corroded towel and TP holder, small pedestal sink, old shower tile and no where to put soap or shampoo while showering. The ironing board was oddly hanging in the bathroom. The pool is on the second floor with no view, 3.5 feet deep and the size of a large hot tub. There is parking for maybe 10 cars on the ground level. The entire place is desperately in need of updating.
Quiet. Peaceful.
Easy beach access, dated hotel could use some improvements.
Rooms need some repair with shower draining & electrical outlets. But clean & very convient
As described.
The location is the main attraction! Wonderful beachfront access! The bathroom was in working order but also falling apart. Very run down. The room is very small. Not a room you want to hang out in! I got there 90 mins before check in time and had to pay $75 for early check in. I expect to pay a fee to go in early, but that was pretty high in my opinion. I would stay there again. I felt safe. Restaurants in walking distance, and parking is available. The beach access was perfect!
a few small things that are easily remedied. rooms need black out curtains. we had to hang towels up in the windows to keep the led hall lights from shining in. Even with the towels, it was too bright. overall the room was fine but it reeked of weed upon arrival. great location and good price.
It was false advertising
Maids moved like clock work and staff were kind enough to let us into our rooms a hour early
NO parking available at sote its across the street..if you like minimal this is it..it has the basics bed & shower. The room is very very small 2 beds and it was crowded for 2 people. Coffee maker was broken commode wouldnt flush because it wouldnt refill unless you held the arm and it took a couple hours for shower to drain. it does have easy access to the beach..Overpriced for what it didnt offer.
Perfect for WindJammer concerts!
Nice
Good room for the price compared to others in Isle of Palms. Spacious bathroon (although I wish there was a place other than floor to sit my stuff in the shower). Did not like the TV placement or how the door scraped the first bed when we opened it. Keycode access instead of keycard was great and convenient. Not sure on breakfast, we missed it both days. Didn't like that the lighting on the walkaround patio was so bright right outside our window. The floor was very sandy when we first arrived, like it hadn't been cleaned at all; the next day when our room was cleaned it was thoroughly mopped though and much cleaner than when we arrived.

Boutique this hotel is NOT! I cannot believe anyone used that word to describe it! The best part of this property is that it sits by the ocean. Unfortunately, there was not much else that made it worth the money. The room was grossly misrepresented online in size and decor. Same with bathroom. Bathroom had mildew stains present and the shelf in the shower was broken so nowhere to set anything down. No counter space and no hot water for at least 30 minutes. The blinds on the windows did not shut out the very bright light out in the hallway so it looked like daylight in our room even with the blinds closed. Paint was peeling everywhere and rust was prominent throughout the property. There was a gross toilet in the parking area with random pieces of wood and trash. We were charged for parking when we very clearly said we would not be using the parking area. That got corrected but why were we charged when we declined??? Also, breakfast is not good. It is pitiful and there were maybe 3 bananas per day so if you got there a little later out of luck. The "pool" is more like a foot bath. 3 people dont fit! Also, when I inquired about speaking with someone about my experience, I was told that each room is privately owned (like an Air B & B) but the comapany listed is just the "management" company?!?! What? Sounded sketchy to me and there were some smoke and mirrors in the response I got. Again, misrepresentation. I was told I could not reach out directly to the owner of the room I in
