It was great
Outsite my door smoking employees
Stayed end of November. No heat turned on in room even though we had a reservation. Froze and no heat in the bathroom. Bed was good but that’s it. No one at the front desk. I guess they do all duties. Waited 20 minutes to check in
Comfortable beds, well appointed room.
Adequate
Nice location very helpful staff. The room was in need of a refresh of paint and trim. It was just old and tired appearance. This could be a great property with a little love from the owner.
Cache Creek Cash Grab.
Unbelievable go-round with the check-in. Booked through Expedia. Asked for a room with 2 beds. Discovered that Expedia incorrectly booked one bed. I needed two. The hotel was nearly empty, so there was no reason they couldn’t correct this on the spot. The manager kept saying there’s nothing she can do because it’s Expedia’s fault. I then said ok, you have rooms with 2 beds available. I’ll give you $20 to take care of it. She then changed her tune and said she could take care of it after all. But it would cost an extra $26(+change) per night. So I begrudgingly paid $53 extra for the 2 nights. I told her I’d be writing a negative review and she pleaded with me not to. I expect someone to reimburse me for this unnecessary expense and hassle.
Property is run down. Pruce is high for conition of property
Nice
It was ok just stayed one night travelling through
Nice hotel in cache creek. Very polite staff on the hwy with no noise. Stayed here lots and enjoy it everytime.
Old
Getting to be a pretty old and neglected property. Parking isn’t as good as other options in Cache Creek. Price is high, probably in line with corporate standards but not great value considering. Staff was friendly.
Friendly staff.
2 star property, good service, great fluffy towels
The creek and picnic table was a nice amenity especially on hot summer days and nights. Cherry late night staff! Room was very clean and comfortable. Late night check in available is very convenient when travelling times are uncertain.
Property is in terrible rundown condition.
grounds were dry and weedy. trailer was being unloaded at 0300 in the morning. rooms need to be repainted and air conditioning upgraded.
It was okay, just old and run down
The hotel seemed clean enough but was generally so run down. The tub was stained so hard to know if it was cleaned. Everything is very old, needed a metal key to open the door instead of a key card. That wasn’t an issue but just goes to show how old everything is. No breakfast included. We were pretty sure the bed advertised as a queen was actually a double.
Very outdated and the toilet leaked which was gross. No other rooms available and handyman was gone by time we arrived
Affordable. Clean. Free coffee and hot chocolate
Very clean and comfortable room
Pleasant reception. Happy with room.
If this is a Sandman Inn I'll never stay at another one. I thought the name would quarantee us a certain quality level. Didn't happen. This place is a dump. I realize this is a franchise but where are the corporate quality checks?
Outdated rooms, hair dryer was broken, no restaurant on site, rooms were dirty with dead bugs on window sills and cobwebs in the corners. The front desk clerk was super nice but we will definitely not be staying there again.
Older building that could use a few upgrades, but overall comfortable and clean
Adequate, clean, definitely could use a new bathtub
No restaurant at all, very dirty and terrible beds and linens
The outside was rundown and the restaurant was permanently closed. The room was clean though, except for the shower matt which was rolled up and displayed full of mildew. It is a very small town though and the price is affordable so it was ok. There is also a few options for dining nearby.
Was good but they ise way to much bleach when they wash there sheets and towels but staff was vaey nice
All good
Was pretty average “motel”. It served its purpose as a quick stopover while on our trip.
This town needs help getting things back to the way it used to be. Last year was great even after the floods. This year there was silverfish in my tub. Eww.
Very nice
Property was expensive but not worth it
if you want coffee bring or go out to get it. only hotel we have been at with no coffee available in the room. if u have dogs not much grass to take them on.
Juliet the Manager was excellent! We had spoken earlier in the day by phone and she took great care of me when I arrived. This is clean, basic accommodation and one of the two I use when travelling through Cache Creek that stays consistent. Dependable although at the moment the restaurant is closed, so have to eat nearby. Good options close for the traveller passing throug.
The place is beside the creek we like the sound of water flow and everything inside the room was nice and clean
The staff are outstanding. Great customer service from the front desk to the house cleaning staff.
Property very run down, door frame to my room was broken, then poorly repaired, it looked it had been kicked in. The room was overly perfumed. staff friendly. Coffee was excellent
The bed was comfortable and clean, but the room needed a lot of work. Whoever painted did a terrible job. The sink has permanent stains in the bathtub didn’t drain properly and I think for what you get it was a bit over priced.
Friendly service. Comfortable beds interesting paint job.
Not good
Clean.
Sandman, please renovate this place.
From the outside it looked pretty much like the pictures. There was a bit of a green space and a creek flowing by. However once you went inside it was a different story. The front desk area smelled of weed. The rooms were in pretty rough shape. Could see daylight with door closed. The carpet just inside the room entrance was worn so thin you could see the wood underneath. All the furniture and appliance were beat up and outdated. Baseboards look like they’d been chewed on by a beaver. Weird black stain on the bathroom floor in front of the tub. Cracked and missing tiles in the shower and the tub was so stained it looked like something out of a horror film. Was thinking about continuing on to the next town and try and find a room there instead but decided to tough it out as we’d just drove 10 hours and the kids were done.
Dog friendly
Reception staff, especially Danielle, extremely welcoming and helpful. We were made to feel at home. The room was comfortable and quiet. It was a nice respite from the long travels. Thank you!
Easy check in. Affordable. Would stay again
Our pillows had blood on one and food on the other.
The front desk staff was awesome!
I liked that it was clean and relatively quiet at night (despite the highway). I did not like the amount of industry workers that had their trucks running/warming up at 5am for an inordinate amount of time.
Good enough for the price
The only place we stay in Cache Creek. Staff are great.
It’s 2023 and felt like room had 12 channels. My son and I go hunting every year at this time and we are huge baseball fans. This was disappointing.
DISGUSTING GROSS TERRIBLE
This is the most disgusting hotel i have ever stayed at, the picture was not at all anything like the room it was so bad it should be illegal to put pics of a room like that online and then put me in a room so gross i had to sleep on top of the blanket with my clothes on DISGUSTING GROSS TERRIBLE
Staff were excellent
Very efficient check in, restaurant on site
Room was clean but worn. Bathroom fixtures had rust. Bathtub needs new grout and silicone. Linens were spotless and bed was comfortable.
Old property but very clean
Friendly, helpful staff with good service. It was clean but needs an upgrade. The physical condition is rundown.
This is a clean but well-worn property. Check-in was fine, but checking out was not. With wildfires' proximity, we had to cancel our further plans and asked if the front desk could contact the next Sandman for us but we were told to do it ourselves. The woman was in the yard with coffee and smoking with a 'friend', and just asked for the key to the room. Not very caring or helpful in a stressful situation.
Old, but clean and quiet
Came in late and the night bell didn’t work. I called the phone number on the door and someone came fairly quickly and had a quick check in and some water bottles given for the family
Place could use some work, needs a reno. Clean and cared for though, friendly staff so all good.
Nice and affordable
Stay with family and kids don't like it. Sink was rusty and floor carpet was smelly. Not cleaned properly. Door knob was wobbly.
Very comfortable bed
Unkept, dirty and smelled bad
The staff is very friendly and welcoming as well the rooms are very clean and tidy although some of the furnitue could be updated.
Door needed fixing so it would close easily, bathroom fan only made squealing sound ,would not work
Pretty shabby place. Sheets are clean and bed is comfy enough.
The staff was accommodating due to us booking for the wrong night, but the pictures of this motel are out dated! The whole place is rundown. The cable tv was snowy, no hot water in the bathroom sink, no water pressure in our shower!
Staff was friendly, room was air conditioned, bed was great but room very much in need of update. It was small, a bit dingy, needing some fixes.
Nice restaurant around the area, Excellent customer service.
Quick check in. Room clean and comfortable
Such a nice Sandman Inn with lots of character and also the comfort and quality you expect from a popular hotel chain. Beautiful river right beside it and tables to sit and relax and enjoy. It did not disappoint. We will be back!
Convenient location when travelling. Old, tired looking and dated building. People smoking weed below our window made it impossible to have our window open.
Excellent staff
over priced for a dump, 78 year old had to carry luggage onto second floor, some kind of motor started up next to us at about 6:45 AM, very noisy to the point of walls vibrating
In all fairness, Cache Creek was still cleaning up from a devastating flood, so the property was lucky to be there and in working condition. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a 5 star Hilton, don’t stay here, but if you are looking for clean sheets and towels and somewhere to rest your head for the night, then go ahead a make a reservation.
170.00 plus tax. I wouldn’t take my shoes off in the room because the floor was so dirty. My bed was missing a sheet The tv reception was so poor it was unwatchable. Fine I’ll just have a shower and go to bed. The water pressure was so bad the water only came out about 2 inches from the shower head. Never again. I’d rather sleep upright in my car!
Save your $$
I wouldnt stay here again.. rooms are old, carpeted and dusty
There was no heat and water cut for whole day
Clean and safe
Friendly staff and service. Decently clean but the shower drain was plugged that grossed me out. I stopped in for a sleep and shower in the middle of an long drive so that was disappointing.
Good price and comfortable bed.
It was an older hotel that had been renovated. It was clean and staff was friendly
Clean rooms great staff. Loved being right by the creek/river. Very quiet and had a great sleep 💤 walking distance to the burger place
Friendly helpful staff. Room not very nice.
In poor shape. Mold in unit bathroom in several areas
Could use a few updates
Well the pictures were very misleading! The rooms were outdated, the a/c did not work in our room and it was quite hot as we were there mid July. There is no elevator and we had to stay on the second floor so that proved difficult lugging all out luggage upstairs. They still use actual keys for the room doors. As outdated as it was staff was very friendly and looking at the other hotels in town it’s probably one of the better ones.
What I didn't like was that there was a pubic hair on my toilet and the toilet wasn't flushed. The bed had a sink hole in it, very uncomfortable. Air-conditioned was really loud, and when I opened my window instead to get some air, a travel bus pulled in right under my window with it motor running woke me at 4 am. Sorry just saying for 144.00 with tax I wasn't to impressed.
Many of these reviews seriously underrate this hotel. My team and I were staying in the area as part of work we were doing in Lytton. The hotel provided an excellent base to work from, with comfortable beds in pleasant rooms. And the front desk staff, especially Donna, went out of their way to accommodate guests. Would definitely stay here again.
It was clean, and the staff were very friendly. The bathrooms desperately need a renovation.
The property was very old and not well maintained. I found it to be very dirty too. My pillow case had a trace of blood on it and we had dirty towels in the bathroom. The front desk gentleman was very helpful and kind, but he has no control of the deterioration of the rooms. Every aspect of the room was disappointing, the kitchen was dirty and the calcaire was not cleaned around the faucets. The bathtub was so gross that neither of us (3 women) refuse to take a shower in it. As a Sandman hotel, I expected more, very disappointed of this lack of care. I recommend you drive to Lillooet for a better experience.
Older but clean and quiet.
carpet dirty furnture out dated ac old and noiasy....i wonder it a sandman ??
Staff was friendly and polite.
The staff was very friendly. The hotel itself is very dated and can use an update. The bathroom was in terrible shape with hard water stains and dirty toewls.
Had a towel and facecloth with stains on them. Not sure if they were clean or just stained . There was a musty smell in the room. The hallways were dirty. The toilet lid was cracked in half as well. For being part of a large chain like sandman we were very disappointed..

Based on the price you get what you pay for. Little surprised it is part of the Sandman group. Generally higher standards with them
