Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable hotel. Great staff at reception and also at the breakfast

Nice hotel convenient for shopping eating and transport links .

Polite staff, clean rooms, good location for shopping and restaurants. Breakfast time could be greatly improved, only 1 egg burned so takes ages to get eggs, coffee machine takes forever and 50% of the time only get 1/2 warm cup. And not everything is ready at 0700

Cannot be for work trips due to bad wifi

The internet was so bad in the room that i had to take my calls in the breakfast area

Excellent service.

Our room is spacious with a high ceiling and bedding is good. Best of all is the friendliness of the staff from front desk to bell boy. Easy walk to Mutiara Damansara metro station and this hotel is walking distance to two shopping centres

Need some upgrading for the rooms and facilities. The air conditioner was really noisy, I had to turn it off in order to sleep. Noise from the neighboring mall was coming through the closed windows.

Good hotel within walking distance to MRT and shops. The room was clean although the air conditioning wasn’t quite efficient as it was very noisy . The staff were friendly and helpful . Breakfast was good with lots of choices

Worst Hotel and Pathetic stay

Cheating customers by showing very old photos. The dirtiest hotel I have stayed in in my entire life travel. Water seepage in the corridors of the hotels. rooms are dirty with the stinky smell

Very disappointed with the room. Telly did not work, the corridor smelt horrible. It’s a shame as I have had positive stays here in the past, however, I will not be returning.

Great location . Nice hotel clean and friendly staff

The property needs to be renovated for sure, the staffs are amazing in particular Rajie Simathri was very helpful in changing our rooms to a better ones and making our stay great. the area is nice people are friendly only the minus point is hotel needs to be renovated.

Manager was rude and didn’t show support or resolution to issue. When I checked out 1 day earlier on 9/19, when I asked for a copy of print out receipt, the manager refused. I explained the receipt would allow me to submit to Expedia for refund. The breakfast area was very smelly and noisy. I won’t recommend travelers for this hotel.

The hotel is ok but the condition of my room and the 10th floor was not good. Water damage is evident on that floor. My bathroom had some mould.

Always choose this hotel as it is near to the shopping mall nearby, very convenient and clean. Staff are friendly as well

Likes: fast checkin and my room was ready before 2pm. Location of this hotel is superb. Facilities are clean. Rooms have good amenities. Good sized swimming pool. Very good breakfast selection. The food is delicious. Can be improved: swimming pool area had no staff and no towels provided. Should inform guests in advance. Some parts of the pool floor were dirty..my room 510's bathroom shower head was lose.

Easy access to shopping malls. But unfortunately, place looks dated and maybe due for enhancement.

The room was damp and dim. Cigarette smell lingered in the room. TV reception is almost zero.

Room is clean, location is good. Breakfast choice is limited. Only bath room towels are provided. Always have to request for hand towels.

Really well located to many shops, malls and so many restaurants! You could eat at a different restaurant every day for weeks! Oh and Ikea just over the road. Also the view from the 11th floor is amazing. Room was great, bed and pillows very comfy too.

Upsetting.

Firstly, I was upset that our booking was not notified to the hotel, so they had no idea of our arrival and due to that they couldn’t provide our request. As I had a newborn with me and requested for a non smoking room and non smoking floor. The receptionist then promised that they will call us through the room the next day whether or not they could move us to a non smoking room the next day, but we received no call. In fact, I was told the room has been sprayed but when we enter we clearly could smell smoke from cigarettes. And the next day, the housekeeping team cleared out the towels and did not replaced with new ones. And the lighting of the room was so dim, one of the light wasn’t working. Also, if you decide to drive over, they do not validate parking and their carpark is connected to a mall, so when it does get busy, it’s difficult to get parking. I get it you are under renovation, but a change of lightbulbs and allow hotel guest to park at reserved carparks would be great, especially when the drop off area is closed.

Location is near MRT. Good for 4* hotel. Beside Curve mall, can find many choices of food.

Not worth the price at all

Overall, the experience was good. Only thing I felt our dual twin room could use was more mirror in the room. Other than that hotel was good and the best part of this hotel is the location...easy excess to the mall and surrounding dining places.

Got deluxe room instead of family suite that we booked. Could not get into the room because access card not working and the staff was slow to assist. Parking fee expensive and only 1 elevator works.

Nice hotel is a great suburban location

It’s still a comfortable hotel in a nice area close to the MRT station but it could stand a little update. The room and bathroom are big, the bed comfy, it’s quiet and has a decent breakfast spread.

The property is in the vicinity of shopping mall. Clean and satisfied with stay. Only that the tv channels reception is terrible and not according to the tv guide booklet/sheet.The quality of tv visual is grainy-like eventhough the hotel is situated in Damansara (upscale area) and even ASTRO reception is of poor quality . Breakfast selection - could be improved. Water pressure is good but temperature control..still cold eventhough had selected the hot water for shower.

No Parking Provide, but i know what did said on hotel. i get it. parking per day at the curve RM10 . so kind okay. they didn't include on it. overall nice, nice breakfast , staff good. place view nice. well area to shopping area curve.

It was a 4star hotel. But I need to wait more than 1 hour untill my room ready. Lucky a shopping mall beside this hotel. But bad experience in check in.

Below my expectation Limited towel available - requested for extra towel 3 times. Only on 3rd they informed need to wait for laundry. Same goes for baby cot even though already request for extra towel and baby cot during booking. There was marking on the linen (blood???). Towels were torn at the edges. No shampoo but conditioner was available. There was ants in the room.

Pleasant stay

Room was perfect for the family of four as they had a king bed and 2 single beds. Bathtub was stained and plug was faulty. There was only 1 remote control for 2 TVs and it couldn't turn on well. Pool was dirty too. Faced challenges getting an extra bath towel as they were short of staff. Overall a pleasant experience as the beds were comfortable and the place was near good food and shopping.

The place is great place except for sad, setback of having to pay for your carpark and it really need a little facelift in some parts of the hotel.

Nice hotel, near to Ikea, shopping, KidZania, etc. spacious room, family room. The swimming pool need to be properly maintain - dirty a bit.

The room is nice because of the spacious area for family. But they were short of towels. It was not available until at night. Also we have to keep on calling until we get our towels.

There was nothing to eat for breakfast even though we came down at 9am. Many guests were complaining. We waited for half an hour for the kitchen to grudgingly top up the food😠 I was rudely waken up at 1.40 AM by a phone call asking if I had ordered room service ! Please check the room before interrupting our sleep. 😤The ambiguity of having 2 hotels of the same name led me to be dropped at the other Royale Chulan. The reception there gave us very vague instructions to the hotel Royale Chulan the Curve, causing us to walk around for 20 mins! 😖😖

1 The key system was down & it was inconvenient. Each time to go into our room, we need to go to lobby to get the Bell boy to go with us to open our room door. (eg. we realize we left parking ticket in the room right after we close the room door) 2 The corridor and room had strong smell of paint. It irritates my nose & eyes. 3 I requested for a hair dryer as the one attached in the bathroom was not functioning. Although 2 male technicians came into my room past midnight to fix the hairdryer, it will be better if hotel prepare additional hairdryer for guests. I was caught unprepared in my night wear & uncomfortable to have 2 male technicians coming in instead on passing me a hairdryer as requested. I told them I want a portable hairdryer but to my disappointment they said the hotel don't have one. 4 No complimentary parking for a 4 star hotel guests was an unexpected scenario. And parking sign was misleading. Expedia website stated there are limited parking. We drove up to lobby and followed the "hotel parking" sign, which lead us to a public parking space and we have to pay the parking fee each time we drive out. 5 There were 2 hotels at The Curve, which are Royale Chulan Damansara(RCD) & Royale Bintang (RB) The change of name of RB to Royale Chulan The Curve (RCTC) is rather confusing as there are now 2 Royale Chulan at The Curve: RCD & RCTC. I want to avoid RB & book my regular RCD at The Curve but ended up accidentally booked the wrong one, and lead to hassle.

There are so many bad reviews about this hotel. However every hotel is not perfect. I would say the hotel is not bad for a short stay. It is very convenient to the shopping centre. Cleanliness wise can be improved, for a short stay its not an issue. The family room has one toilet but two people can use the toilet at the same time. One at the bath tub another at the shower room. Do give this hotel a try for an experience. It's worth it.

Overall our stay with Royale Chulan The Curve Hotel is better then past reason our room are arranged to higher 9th floor, only discounting is bath room when taking shower wondering why glass door always cannot close properly water leaks onto the floor outside it create floor wet and this will cause dangerous to your guests it very easily get slip over fall down then the hotel will get into trouble for compensation hope this will not happen. Encourage hotel management whom in charge to experience yourself. Good thing is that one of the lady from HSKP making up room sorry forgotten her name she is very helpful always taking good care our room when we return room are well make up & clean thank her hotel exce house keeper or the management should send her an recognise award to this lady doing good job with positive helpful attitude.

Old fashion 4 star hotel, no complimentary parking

4 star hotel, but : - Hotel is rathet old fashion - no complimentary car park and was not informed during check in. Receptionist informed car park fee RM15 flat rate after 24hrs, but paid RM21 at machine for 2 days parking. Not worth for room rate charged.

A PROPER CITY HOTEL

EASY ACCESS TO FOOD, MOVIES, SHOPPING ETC. plenty of car parks

The staff are always ready to help and they are also very friendly. The location of the hotel is also very good because it is very near to many amenities.

Late check in. My long way journey end up 1 hour at hotel lobby because the room isn’t ready. Not a single direct apologies from the staff. Very disappointed and unacceptable.

Disappointing

Nice on the outside only. Inside below average. Room was not clean - from floor to bed sheets to towels to bathroom- they all had stains and looked as if they had never been cleaned! The only positive thing is the shopping malls and the many restaurants the hotel is directly connected to which is awesome. We heard the same hotel brand behind the curve (Damansara) is much better hotel. The pool area is also unimpressive.

Mouldy shower, no power shower, lukewarm hot water

We stayed in this hotel some years ago after its opening. This is our second stay. Exterior Building, room and facilities are good visually. My main complaint is Lukewarm water, no power shower, mouldy shower wall and no efforts made to scrub it off. we stayed 2 nights in a large family room with 4 beds. Apart from the lack of power shower, mouldy walls in shower stall, lukewarm water in a low occupancy hotel, concierge service is terrible, no smile on faces. A generally mediocre hotel. we stayed in a overrated 4 star hotel, probably should be a 3 star reception service. Neighbouring, F&B, IKEA, paid car parking, Multi screen cinema, Shopping mall will keep guests occupied. this building is difficult to identify for outstation guests in the evening as the entrance is pitched darkness and easily missed by driver. the entrance is so small and blocked by parked cars made it even worse to spot.

Old Hotel attached to a Mall

The photos on the site made it look better than it actually is. And there are two Royal Chulan in this location which is also a mall. This one is the older one, condition is not too fantastic. Only blessing: attached to a mall.
