Just beautiful

A lovely place with easy access to the beach and everything you need with very good restaurant and bar. The breakfast was chaotic and out of a lot of food the first day but was good the next two days we were there.

Highly recommend

Great hotel- access to beach and other attractions was great. Loved they lent bikes and breakfast was good.

Unexpected costs. $30 destination fee and $10 fee daily to get on the island. Hundreds of kids ther during our stay

Wonderful location and hotel, great breakfast!

Love this hotel and its location! Staff is always great. Bartenders, waitstaff at restaurant and food manager were all awesome! Food and drinks are great! Rooms are huge and breakfast was one of the best free hotel breakfast I've ever had! Very dog friendly and the pups had a great time. My only issue was that the pool is usually heated and I was looking forward to swimming. That is one of the main reason I booked this hotel and there was no notice or signs that the pool heater was not working.

Overall great. The room does need some repairs.

We had no issues with the room, the amenities, or staff. Our first huge issue was reserving a balcony ocean view room and being placed in a first floor patio room next to the pool door with a view of sand dunes. No balcony, no ocean view, not what we reserved. The balcony rooms were booked so they couldn’t move us and didn’t offer a discount or partial refund. Second surprise was the $30 per day resort fee on top of what we paid through Expedia. Beware, we feel defrauded.

The property location was amazing. Beachfront. All amenities. The staff was great! Lady Jessica was great at check in. Young lady Kelsey was so nice and professional! Helped me out with check out. Front desk lady Mona was awesome! Mostly Apple Watch; she recovered it, and charge it it and had ready for me. Great overall. The only bad thing COFFEE. I wanted fresh coffee and the cafe closes at 10pm. Bartender or no one would make me a coffee. And….i know the room has coffee. I didnt want that old coffee. I wanted fresh. Please have it available for all guest,especially at a resort.

We had a great time!

Moved us around 3 times durring a 4 day stay. Staff was ghetto. Manager likes to shoulder check customers when they express distain for stay. Charged us 4 days and kicked us out on the 3rd day saying we didnt pay when i have paperwork showing otherwise . Absolute trash

Amazing location! very quiet, nice clean rooms, and affordable! I enjoyed the bar and how close it was to the beach!

Nice facility in a quiet, convenient location. Our only disappointment was with the quality and cleanliness in the breakfast area.

LOCATION, clean, quite!!

This place was really nice, and family friendly. The hot tub could be a little warmer. Everyone was complaining about it, but other than that, it was 👍 great. 😀

If you want to stay on a mediocre golf course with lousy, out of this world RUDE service then here you go. Surly (white employees) that looked like they hated their job and were amazed they had to do work. One lied to my face and threatened to throw myself and two severely disabled sons out when he was caught in a bald face lie. One African American young employee was working harder than those spoken of combined. Picking up trash unruly white children threw on the ground while their clueless redneck parents looked the other way. Rude, loud guests, brown water beach, lack of emenities. An I could care less attitude about guests. REALLY REALLY REALLY AWFUL.

Had a fantastic time at this resort. The balcony suite overlooking the water was extravagant, and the room was clean and tidy the restaurant inside the resort had decent food that was very convenient. Pool area was kept nice and enjoyable. Breakfast had a wide selection and was good. my favorite thing that we utilized was the free bike rental that we used to traverse the island. Would recommend, and will rebook in the future.

Great place to stay

We came to town for one night. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back and stay longer. The staff was welcoming and very helpful when I had questions about the property. The onsite restaurant was good. We enjoyed a light lunch and decided to eat there again for dinner and we weren’t disappointed. The grounds were very nice and kept. The room was clean, fresh, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The only area that might improve would be a few minor things. The sofa had a rip in it and some floor trim was missing in the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower could have been better. One unexpected thing was the complimentary bike rental. We really enjoyed taking a bike ride along the coast to Driftwood Beach. Overall I was extremely happy with my stay.

Beautiful facility with great staff. Extremely clean and kept up. Loved the island too!!

Beautiful view

Great room and property. The only complaint I have is the bed was too hard so I didn’t sleep good. Other than that, great experience!

Balcony overlooking the beach and pool (room 403, corner room). Clean and spacious room, SUPER-quiet with insulated windows and blackout curtains. Spacious kitchen with workspace. This truly is a small studio. $30/daily resort fee is tacked on (not their choice) but they compensate by giving $30/day credit in amenities, including restaurant and bar! The ONLY downside (or upside, depending on perspective) is that it is pet friendly, meaning a pooch may have been on your bed right before you checked in. Not a problem for us because the place was CLEAN and SILENT despite the presence of LARGE (well behaved) dogs, but if you are a germaphobe or afraid of encountering a large dog in the hallway or restaurant,.. look elsewhere.

Nice hotel

We like staying here for because of the location on Jekyll Island the views from the rooms and the staff. What we don't like is the cleaning of rooms schedules. They won't clean your room daily and cleaning schedule is based on the numbers of days you stay which is very upsetting to us.

The staff was courteous, the rooms were very modern and clean. The walk to the beach was nice on a well maintained boardwalk. I will definitely mark this place as a favorite.

Ocean view room was nice, balcony was lovely, grateful to have a freezer/fridge combo. Everything was very clean. The room attendant helpful in getting extra towel/washcloth. Food options were limited at the hotel and on the island compared to other resort areas.

Overall the Hotel and staff was very nice and friendly, As far as the food, there’s better options on the island We definitely will revisit!!

Maintenance is starting to show

The location was wonderful, easy walk to beautiful beach and huge dunes. There were free bikes and bike paths all over the island (an untouched tropical paradise thru the center of the island). The room was spacious and clean. We had a difficult time getting enough bath towels each day. The restaurant food was just ok, and they seated us at a table that had not been wiped down. Also, there was a bit of an ant problem around the pool. And the ocean water is black at Jekyll Island. There was ping pong, corn hole, big jenga and big connect 4 to keep us entertained.

We enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn Marriott. The hotel was pet friendly and clean. The pool was super clean and refreshing. We loved our ocean front room. All of the staff were kind and happy to help us. We enjoyed our complimentary breakfast each morning. We would stay there again.

Wonderful!

I took my 2 grandchildren there for a 4 day get away. The location was great. It was awesome having pool and beach access.

I love how accommodating the hotel and staff was with our fur baby. Staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms were very nice, clean and fully stocked. I love that we were right in front of the beach, just a quick walk to the beach from the back of the hotel. It was a great stay at this hotel, Totally recommend!

We had an awesome experience. The whole facility is very clean and the staff are friendly and professional.

Upon checking in we were informed that our booked room was not available and that we would be downgraded (with the appropriate discount, of course). However, this was an anniversary trip for us and the room that we had booked was pretty important to us. The staff were not at all sympathetic or even helpful, only telling us to just check back the next day to see if another room was available. We bypassed the front desk and found the HR office where the lady there was so very nice and immediately set out to help us. She contacted the manager that was on site, and he immediately appeared and made everything good. We are so very appreciative of the result and it turned our whole vacation around! To their credit, there was a convention or two in the area, and I'm suring there were booking issues there. However, it didn't seem fair to bump us from our room for that reason or without any prior notification. I do recommend this hotel for a stay and the area is beautiful.

Was given wrong room then moved to an even worse one. We booked a king size bed and was given two queens. Then when we went down with all our luggage to get it right they gave us a smaller more akward shaped room with a king

Restaurant was delicious. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Only complaint is the sleeper sofa mattress was very springy and worn out.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay! Being able to walk right down to the beach was amazing! All of the staff members were super nice and accommodating making us feel like they really wanted us to have a nice stay. We loved the pool area but REALLY wished the pool was heated like at some of the other hotels because the water was way to cold to go in and enjoy the pool( the weather was warm enough to swim but pool water was freezing). One thing that was not so great was the smell of the water and pipes I smelt it the entire time we were there.

Great hotel right on the beach!

We only stayed 2 days, but it was a very nice get-away. The Residence in was awesome! It was right on the beach and our room had a view of the ocean, with a balcony. The only downside is the ocean itself was very dirty.

Super stay!!

Wonderful hotel in all ways. Excellent location with every amenity you could want.

Spring Break 2024

We stayed from Wednesday to Sunday, and the check in process went really smoothly and quickly. When we got to the room, at first glance, everything looked nice. Then, I noticed that we didn’t have rags so we had to call and have them sent to us. I also cooked one night and noticed that the dishes were not completely clean so I had to clean them before I used them. Overall, not terrible but not impressed either.

This property is well maintained and located in a beautiful setting. Facilities were clean and new. Beach access was excellent as was the pool area.

We vacationed as a family to Jekyll Island. The Residence Inn Marriott was comfortable, right on the beach and allowed for a relaxing time away.

Poor room condition - not accommoating

We arrived late (1030 pm) having been on the road all day. The front desk would not accommodate a late check out the next day and was not very friendly about it. When we got to our room there was no bedding for the pull out sofa. We had to call for it and when they brought it they had no extra pillows available. The mattress on the pull out sofa was dirty and hard. The bathroom tub faucet was loose and coming out from the wall so to take a shower you had water running into the tub and from the shower head. There was a weird noise (like a loose pipe noise) coming from the bathroom ceiling. There were broken door handles in the kitchen. Just not in the best condition.

Was better in the past

We like the location but the breakfast was bland with little options. The area for breakfast was not cleaned after every meal and the service was just okay. The grill area by the pool was not clean and the bike rentals are outdated. We stayed here before and it was much better but after this trip we will not be back based on the experience.

Beautiful location. Dining options OK.

Gorgeous property!! I love the ability to just walk to the beach. Finding sand dollars each morning on our walk was the highlight of the visit! We will definitely be back! What a lovely little find! Also, the restaurant, The Shore, is amazing! We ate there several times!

Pet friendly

We had a wonderful stay. The amenities here are terrific. Beach access and pools with jacuzzi were the highlight. The manager cares and interacted with us to ensure a great trip.

Disappointing

The hotel was beautiful. We booked a balcony, island view room for our family of four. We were very disappointed to learn that we did not have a balcony, but a patio facing the parking log and dumpsters. I asked the front desk about the room and they told me that I received what I paid for. Our room was a balcony room on the first floor. This was so disappointing. We specifically booked this hotel for the balcony and paid extra for that room type. A few other things worth mentioning: -No bedding for the pull-out couch, called the front desk and they said we had to come get it (even though 4 staff members were working at the front). We were given one sheet and one pillow case. - Two bath towels for a family of four, called the front desk and we had to make another trip to get more towels. -The plates and glasses in our kitchen were all dirty and greasy. The disposal did not work and the sink hardly drained. -Our room was never cleaned during our 5 night stay. Could not communicate with housekeeping as they did not speak English. -There were also screws in the hallways on the floors which was strange. There the whole time. -We were promised an 80-degree pool and there was no way it was even 70 degrees. The hot tub was hot one day and cold the next. Many guests were upset by this. -Every morning there were large trash bags placed on our patio, not that we would want to sit there to watch the parking lot but it was very rude. I was very disappointed overall.

The facility and room were excellent. We were there over Christmas so room service was limited to changing towels, no trash pickup or other. Restaurant was good, selection and price. The free breakfast was inadequate for the number of customers, out of most items including juice.

Great location

Love this place

Our room had an obstructed view that it wasn't supposed to have. Their was a missing handle bar on dresser drawer and a live cockroach in the closet. It could have had more care given to the room at its rate.

Not worth it!!

The hotel is in good shape because it's new. Housekeeping does a goid job at cleaning. The wait staff is horrible, inattentive, and downright made us nervous. It doesn’t seem like it's being managed well at all. Despite the nice room, we feel we paid almost double the value. The resort fee and $10 credits just cause you to spend more when you go to try to use it. That made us even madder. Not worth the money. Staff making us feel uneasy/not safe. NEVER AGAIN!!

If you are bringing a pet aware!

If you are taking a pet be aware that when you go check in they will make you sign a wavier about your dog being in the room. If they deem it necessary to remove your dog they will! This has gotten to be a trend in several nicer hotel chains! There is never a word about it until you get there! If they don’t want to accept dogs then they shouldn’t allow them period. They also do not give you a copy of this form you just got jacked up on. As far as our stay there, The room could have been a little cleaner. My dog who is perfectly trained and goes out every few hrs, had a hard time because there were so many other animal smells she couldn’t quit sniffing! For them to charge $150 for the dog and not clean the carpets is ridiculous! The Food at the hotel was good in the restaurant. They had a breakfast bar that was good for family’s. My son loved that they had a waffle maker. The staff was great at the coffee bar! The room was well equipped but have the big bottles of shampoo and body wash in the shower instead of the little bottles which I am sure is more cost effective for them. But the shampoo and the body wash were both empty. I went down to the front desk and they gave me new ones to replace it! The pool area was very nice and well equipped. Nice board walk down to the beach area. The cleaning crew couldn’t speak ANY English at all! We were supposed to have a 12:00 check out time however, the front desk said they dont have 12:00 check out it has to be at 11:00!

Honeymoon stay.

View is great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok but not what you would expect from a Marriott. Hotel could use some modernization but still was nice. Still would stay again if opportunity presents itself.

Property was amazing. Suite was very spacious and clean. Pool area is very nice. Plenty of seating, All the staff were very helpful and gracious.

People should know up front that you will be charged a destination fee, for each day you are there. I was not aware of this.
