Centrally located

Room was nice and hotel is in the center of the shopping area and close to Rotorua attractions. Fine dining is extremely limited despite the multitude of little ethnic restaurants. Four blocks from Eat Street, which is very touristy and not high quality. Overall a good place to stay if you want to explore the Rotorua area.

We loved our stay here. The location was perfect (walking distance to some local attractions and plenty of restaurants). The apartment was great and had everything we needed for a two night stay. Would highly recommend! Staff at the front desk were really helpful too.

Great stay

Great stay. Had everything we needed. Good central location. Easy street parking, free before 9am and after 4pm right in front of building. Free all day 2 blocks away. Kitchen was great, bed was nice. Could not ask for anything else.

I enjoyed the extra area to move about, also the washer and dryer.

Lovely, comfortable, modern apartment. Great location as well. Garrie at reception was very polite, professional, and friendly. Room service needs improvement - the bathroom was very dusty and not cleaned well despite the daily service.

Property was nice and the staff were friendly, marred only by the strong sulphurous odour in the property. We have been to Rotorua before without any issue, but this time the sulphurous smell in the town, and the accommodation, was ever-present. The odour was nauseating, and after a bad night’s sleep we decided to cut short our visit. The staff empathised, agreeing the odour was quite strong, but stated that policy was not to refund the nights we decided not to stay, perhaps understandably as it was our decision to leave.

A very good, comfortable stay. Studio had everything you needed. It was modern, very clean, location was great. Close to all foods, lake and activities. We would return. Aware of parking but Quest team explained well

We got the apartment with hot tub and I loved having the kitchenette and washer and dryer. The apt was very clean and we were very happy staying there.

The hotel is in centre of town with easy access to a wide variety of grocery stores and dining options. Many interesting local cultural sightseeing available within 30-90 mins drive.

Good location

Great place to stay for a few days.

Rotorua is such a fun place to visit. There are so many activities. The hotel is in the city center. Not much to do in the city (except Thursday evening food fair) but centrally located to other features…Redwood forest, thermal areas, gondola, ride, and biking.

Nice location with easy access to the whole city. Rooms good size (with laundry) and clean. Front desk (lady) was super friendly and helpful. Held bags until rooms were available for check in.

Excellent stay and apartment in downtown Rotorua! It was easy to walk everywhere, parking was right in front and the apartment was lovely, spacious and bed was very comfortable. I would stay there again when in town!

Property dated. We had a room looking out to the carpark but there was noreal good view from any side of the property. Close enough to eating area without the noise. This was central point for us to do day trips to rotorua surrounds so it was convenient. We also booked here because it was a one bed apartment style accommodation.

Quiet and central location within walking distance to grocery stores and Polynesian spas. Staff is super friendly and the room comes with everything we need including a small kitchen, utensils, hot water boiling kettle and washing machines. The only improvements we would recommend is to add some paper towels and easy to use salt and pepper.

Nice area and friendly staff

Good area of Rotorua to stay and hotel had all the amenities needed. The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome and a good sized bed! The noise of the pipes when other flats had a shower were loud. Was tough on night one when the room above had a 1am shower. The next night was quiet and got a good sleep but would have been tough to get good sleep if we'd stayed more than a couple of nights

I loved staying here!

Lovely staff. Very comfortable bed, sheets and pillows. Good kitchen amenities. Easy walk to everything in town. Will definitely stay again.

I found getting information on how to operate hear/cool very difficult. Accessing front desk though posted i missed. Even figuring out how to turn on lights snd appliances took energy. Suggest A Written manual for reference instead if having ti figure out tv navigation. And print was small for me.

Very clean, you have everything in the unit: plates utensils, pots. There are also washer and dryer in the unit. Very nice overall.

Clean

Accommodation was clean and staff are very nice. Its a bit run down and needs an overhaul. The lift is small and slow. Apartments are small.

Convenient location and comfy bed, room equipped with washer & dryer

The room was clean, modern, and had everything that I would need. It was centerally located which was great so I didn't have to drive much. The owner is amazing, very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! I would definitely come back!

We absolutely loved our stay here. We got the 1 bedroom with the hot tub on the balcony and it was awesome. Yes, you have to fill the tub but then it functions just like a normal hot tub. We really appreciated the washer and dryer as we were coming off an 8 day camper van trip. We also loved the french cafe next door so much we ate there three times! Highly recommend!

I booked this hotel for the hot tub. It’s actually a bath. No jets, you fill it each use like a tub. Also, view is a back alley. Surrounding area is ok. It was vastly overpriced and I don’t understand the “wonderful” rating. Pros: great bed, laundry & kitchen if you need that Cons: not a nice area, expensive if you just need the bed (as opposed to Pullman or Sofitel), no safe, no bathroom counter, phone booth shower One lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. Very helpful with recommendations on touring and dining. If you happen to be there during the night market/food trucks - go!!! It was great. Also the French bistro next door was lovely

Hotel is at city center area, very convenient location. It is a service apmt so you can cook. The best thing is they have washer/dryer in unit. We really love it!

Always a great place to stay and with geothermal park right behind is an extra bonus!

Great stay

We had the Spa room which was amazing after a long day travelling around taking in all we could, returning to the spa was the perfect way to end the day. Would happliy stay here again.

Retirement Travelers

Excellent central location in downtown Rotorua, friendly staff, clean comfortable room, and fair price for the stay. Easy walk to the east end food court and the lakefront.

Quest apartments provides exceptional value. The staff provided exceptional customer service and could not help us enough. The moment I walked into the room I was taken back by the quality modern layout of the amenities from the full size kitchen accommodating a laundrette, spacious bathroom, to the expansive living area with numerous luxury appointments. We could not have asked for any better and provided exceptional value for money. The location was ideal walking distance to the locals shops and restaurants. Quest apartments are now ranked high on our preferred list for accommodation.

The highlight of the stay was the outdoor, yet sheltered, spa pool in the balcony. Perfect for the rainy weekend. The room was modern, stylish and comfortable. Though we were lucky to be able to secure the last parking lot behind the hotel, there were ample street parking just a short walk away. The street was pretty quiet, but I would expect might get noisy on Night Market day (Thursday?).

We liked Karen she was kind and helpful. We did not like we paid for room with hot tub on balcony but what it actually was is a spa bath that took an hour to fill. We did not like that the house keeping only made a bed and didn’t provide fresh linen. We did not like the tv didn’t work for entire stay. We do not like when asking for reasonable compensation they have handled it with extreme rudeness and have failed to address the issues brought to their attention in person or email. Do not recommend and wouldn’t stay again. But Karen on reception is a kind genuine person and we appreciate you

The hotel is in the city centre. Walking distance to cafes and restaurants. Parking is limited and inexpensive.

Horrible service

Don't expect friendly service. As a guest, I felt like I was an inconvenience to them. For example when the receptionist found out I had given her my first name not last name when asked for name name at check in, she gave a very rude and unimpressed look. She then tried to blame me for why the reservation could not be located as she was searching the system for only last names. After the horrible check in experience, I then found out they were also performing an early morning pressure cleaning of the rooms windows. This was not advised prior to booking. When asked what time, the response was just "very early". I am a light sleeper so I had been looking forward to a good night of sleep before an important meeting the next day. So I asked if I could move rooms or (given I booked at 3pm on the day and this happened minutes after booking) if I could cancel so I could move to a different hotel where my sleep would not be disturbed. I was told there was no other rooms available and they refused to provide a refund. Eventually after I persisted they found another room. I see when you search the hotel online you can see they have never in years apologised to any negative reviews and instead blame guests. This was consistent with my experience.

Place was fantastic, suitable for my husband who has a neurological condition and needs to have constant access to outside. Nice big space which made it easily accessible for him also

There are better hotels in the area with the same price.

We enjoyed staying at the Quest Central, great location, walkable to local parks, groceries etc. we had a car so there is free parking on the street. Staff very helpful and rooms have a kitchen and good utensils.

Our stay was wonderful. The property was walking distance from dining, shopping, and bars. The lake and hot pool options were really close, too. The room had a private hot tub which was delightful, especially in the evenings, but there were also AC units inside which was great. The room had everything we could need for our stay and the tv had a bunch of free movie options to fill spare time. The reception staff member was also very helpful and friendly, with lots of guidance about things like parking and entertainment options in the area. The only drawback for us was with parking - the on-street parking has a 1 hour limit on weekdays, but there's paid parking that can be booked in advance through the hotel, a paid carpark a block away. All-in-all it we had a lovely stay and will definitely visit again sometime.

Auckland -perfect location for an amazing stay

We enjoyed our stay here immensely. It is a beautiful room in a convenient location for all our adventures. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. I highly recommend this location! The only things that were minor complaints were that the bathroom vanity was incredibly small with plenty of space that it could have been expanded. Additionally, we struggled to keep the room as cool as we would have preferred. We were there in winter, and the heat kept kicking on, despite our best efforts. Otherwise, the room was fabulous! We would definitely stay here again!

We made the mistake of not getting parking but the Manager was most helpful and pleasant

Location was good, check in/out was easy. Facilities are a bit dated but otherwise fine for a short stay.

This hotel is right in the middle of the city centre with easy access to cafes and a short walk to the water of the lake. It was great to have a kitchen to cook our own meals as we wanted. Staff was very friendly.

Walkable distance to most of the places

Nice place with a nice bed and a place to do laundry. Down town Rotorua so it was easy to get to everything.

It was what exactly what we thought it would be when booking the stay. Convenient to the areas activities.

Great location and very quiet. Spacious rooms. Parking was outside but in 60min bays, otherwise the free parking was quite a walk away. Otherwise enjoyable stay.

Perfect place to stay in Rotorua

Excellent location within walking distance of a ton of shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Secured (paid) parking. Most comfortable pillow-top bed I've slept in since arriving in NZ a month ago. Great choice for doing all things Rotorua!

Nice location

Very nice property. Excellent staff, all super friendly. Easily walkable location, lots of on street parking Rooms are super clean, well equipped kitchen, great shower, comfortable bed and efficient a/c. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Good value and quality

We booked an apartment and got exactly as we expected - a separate lounge / kitchen / diner with a TV, plus en-suite bathroom with another TV. The room was clean and furnished to a high standard. Complimentary tea, coffee and milk was provided. As we were staying more than one night we were given a small carton of milk in addition to the pods - which was a nice touch and avoided the need to go to the shops (even though they were nearby). There was a washer and separate dryer with a complimentary sachet of washing powder. The hotel is located very central to shops and it was a nice touch at check in to be asked what we were looking to do - so complimenting activities / restaurants / bars could be suggested, together with a map. Would definitely return.

Well appointed apt suites in central Rotorua.

The "rooms" are actually very solid and well appointed suites in central Rotorua. There is a living room / kitchen area with washer and dryer and a separate bedroom. All clean and in good working order. I only needed a hotel room so it was perhaps a little too much for me. But if you need an apartment set up, this would be a good option.

Great location

Stayed here January 2024. Excellent location but parking was poor. Have to use the parking garage down the street where the elevator does not work. Nice clean room, with two comfortable chairs and large tv with HDMI connections so you can stream your own content. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Downside, no coffee maker in room. No instructions on how to use oven.

2 night stay

Easy location, close to restauranrs. No hotel parking. Need to time things with the 60 minute on street parking and free after 5pm.

Our one-bedroom suite with kitchen, washer and dryer was perfect for our two-day stay during a lengthy trip. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom clean and adequate. The location was perfect for access to groceries, local parks, Eat Street, and pick-up points for tours. It it not a luxury hotel - no dining options or fancy lobby - but it was great for our needs. Parking can be a challenge.

Great location for walking around downtown. We had a one-bedroom, which was nice. Everything in the kitchen worked well, including the washer and dryer. The bed was extremely comfortable. One of the best beds I’ve ever slept in. Nice bathroom with a wonderful shower. Nice thick towels. Everything was very neat and clean. My only complaint would be the view over the back parking lot with garbage cans everywhere. But, I just ignored it. Also, the living room needed a floor lamp. But hey, that’s pretty minor. Parking at the hotel was limited and you had to pay for it. Free out front at night only, but had to move the car by 9:30 am. A bit of a pain. Very nice and helpful reception staff too.

Great place to stay

Staff are helpful and friendly. Room is spacious. Washing machine n dryer included in the room. Location is great. Easy access to eateries. There are many P60 car parking lots in front of the hotel. No issue on car parking as long as you start your day before 9:30am

On on arrival Karen welcomed me with the upmost friendliness and assistance throughout check-in, my room had every little touch needed for my stay, laundry in bathroom, kitchen amenities, ironing board, basically home away from home and omg the spa, waits for you after your busy day out and about. You will not be disappointed with your choice of the Quest Rotorua, it’s central, accommodating, friendly and homely so do yourself a favour and book in.

Staff were amazing

Compact, had everything one needs, no car park meant you had to get going by 9.30. Perhaps pay your staff overtime on Sundays after 4 pm specially as people are waiting for checkin rather than staff muttering I am supposed to finish at 4 and forgetting to give keys and explaining things

It would be ideal to have allocated guest parking. Also have an option for a smart TV, thanks

Only stayed overnight but found rooms clean and tidy, and staff helpful. the one thing was a little noisy internally but not a game changer.
