Street noise one of our two nights kept us awake. Washer/dryer combo (computerized) was too sophisticated for our brains and took a long time to unlock. Then, the clothes were still very wet… Kitchen was adequate.

Staff is very friendly and helpful

1 night in Hamilton for work

Great value for money, near the center of Hamilton. Room itself was great, very comfortable bed, spacious living area and kitchen, as well as a washer. Next time i am in Hamilton will definitely stay here, near where i needed to be for work at Seddon Oval, and wasn’t too expensive. Checkin process was also easy, friendly front desk staffer who should be given a raise for shuttling between the 2 quest properties in Hamilton. Other quest i have stayed at as well and only have good things to say about that as well

Very nice

Check in was a bit odd (no one was there, I think due to the holiday, so it was just talking to someone through a remote speaker). Parking extremely limited, wasn't available behind the building (though the city has low-cost options not too far away). That said, it was a very nice apartment. Clean, updated, washer/dryer single unit, full kitchen. Bed was comfortable, location is downtown Hamilton. Price was reasonable. Overall enjoyed my stay!

A comfortable central apartment

Overall we enjoyed staying here. Apartment was spacious, comfortable and conveniently located. We paid for secure parking and was glad we did. Car park area was close to accommodation and had good security. Apartment had good amenities and was close to shops, eateries and river. I had not noticed the reference to special instructions for check in and this was more involved than I had anticipated. I would advise guests to make contact in advance of stay, to deal with bond and possible need for out of hours check-in. Pre-payment was not sufficient on its own to secure entry.

Total disappointment

We were promised reception would be open until 7pm, it was not we arrived just after 6 and reception and the building was closed. Fortunately the night manager arrived just as I was about to turn away and she let us in. We were promised by email that we would have a King bed (Jacqs) it was not and personally I think it was a double. Uncomfortable night. Then to cap it off they charged us for the night after we had paid in advance. NOT HAPPY.

Checking in was a nightmare, it’s not explained well that if you book on a weekend that it’s highly likely after hours and you have to go somewhere else to check in. Then parking was extra, and not easy to find. Instructions on how to exit the place of parking was not explained at all so you looked it till you finger it out. And it’s a long walk which is definitely an inconvenience when time is of the essence. Simple instructions would of been helpful. Manager was an idiot when checking in, asking and wanting Photo ID when he could’ve use discretion as I had confirmation emails they had also been speaking to me via phone before hand and they made it difficult to book in. I will not book again ever. From now on I will be only be going or booking accommodation with Novatel Tainui At least they are respectful to their guests

Liked the location and friendly staff. One downfall is the washer dryer combination.

Light bulb needed to replaced in bathroom. The Shower head kept flopping forward so you had to bend down to get wet.

Great location in the middle of the city ( if that’s your thing). People very friendly and room was clean . Difficultly getting in and parking.

Front desk gave list of where to eat which is always good. Close to Victoria street while far enough away from bars as not to get disturbed at night. Bathroom was tidy and modern. Curtains where blackout, which was needed due to security lights on surrounding buildings. Lift was interesting, took a long time to open door.Parking was not secure. Tv tuning was a mess. Would stay again.

Would have stayed an extra night but it was booked.

We arrived when it was pouring with rain, the person who checked us in could not have been more helpful, helping us with luggage and parking the car in the nearby car park. The location was great, close to restaurants , a perfect overnight stay at the start of an unforgettable holiday in beautiful New Zealand. PS The weather stayed great for the rest of our trip

Noisy room. You can hear every movement on the road as early as 4 to 6 am. Almost everyday.

Firstly location is brilliant, our one bedroom apartment was perfect, spotlessly presented,amble room which was superb. All amenities were catered for and foremost wonderful, obliging assistance. Fully recommend.

Good location

Good location in central CBD but parking was a challenge

Staff were polite, but wouldn’t accept a debit card for the bond for the room which was inconvenient. The room was clean but very basic. Shower was abit broken but still usable. No free wifi, very limited parking but served our purpose of having a bed to sleep in.

Kenneth is a legend!! His service and the service in general was excellent! It’s right in the middle of Hamilton. The washer dryer was great as were the other amenities. Great place to stay for Hobbiton visitors.

City Centre Stay

We had a two day stay. Excellent location! We parked the car in the carpark and for our purposes, didnt need it again till we left - everything being within walking distance. A wonderful friendly receptionist. We booked a one bedroom apartment. It was perfect for our requirements. A good size. We had a couple of issues - the bathroom fan wasnt working (not so good!) and the main door to the balcony would not open! The friendly receptionist said he would see that these issues were addressed. We also found we had an issue that required attention on the Saurday night and the reception was closed from 5pm. Also had repeated issues with the wifi! No Sky Sports - really??? They had about 6 Chinese Channels though.

Very helpful staff. Welcoming and thoughtful. Clean and tidy accommodation. Tastefully furnished with all comforts taken care of. Though inner city apartment very quiet at night.

My partner and I have stayed at the Quest on Ward a few times now. We find the location very convenient. Rooms are always clean and tidy. Front desk staff are helpful and friendly. Do however notice that cost of car parking is steadily increasing. Now $15 night

Close to the City centre

Needed a place to stay in the city centre - Hamilton and the hotel was just right

Good location and 1 bedroom unit was a good size. But looking rather tired: fan in bathroom didn't work and ceiling panel was loose; plaster coming off wall above shower; wall hadn't been fixed properly in bedroom after TV had been removed; not double glazed so noisy with window open; tiny balcony that couldn't be used because of size; no safe; 1 small mirror in unit above vanity. I did point out some of these things to the manager so it would be interesting to know if anything gets done

We had an enjoyable stay at the Quest on Ward in Hamilton. We loved it's central location and the room was well equipped and very pleasant. The one drawback was that when we arrived to check in there was a note on the door to say it was closed for the next two days. We had not been notified of this when we booked and it took us over 30 minutes to be checked in, thanks mainly to guests who were leaving when we were trying to get in. We never saw any staff until our last day. Very disappointing and disconcerting.

We found this hotel very comfortable and extremely handy to the cbd. There was a great kitchenette and separate bedroom. Staff were very helpful and courteous.Nice and quiet. Great price!

Great central apartment let down by service.

It was a short trip to catch up with family on the fly. The apartment was very central, quiet, well placed for eateries and pubs, great equipment. What let it down was there was no way to get into it when we arrived, and if we did not have someone let us in, would have had a long wait. It had a number pad outside, so all we would have needed would be a code from the person we spoke to on the phone. Instead we got stonewalling and estimates on how long it would take her to get there.

Generally a good clean and well equiped apartment.

Really nice living room/kitchen with all the amenities you would need (including washer/dryer in room & well-equipped kitchen) - bedroom itself a little cramped though. Very clean and well-managed!

Right in gut of CBD

A fantastic location for what we wanted, shopping, dining, movies and long strolls along the stunning river walk.

Nice and close to city centre .

Need to pay for parking of the car unless it's after business hours. No free wifi. No Sky Tv .. which was a shame as All Blacks were playing France when I was there.

Great place for those needing accommodation in the heart of Hamilton. Room more than adequate for the weekend traveller. Free 24hr wifi.Parking limited so we parked on road overnight. Car visible from our room.Woke in morning to find a dent from either a head or ball in our front guard??

Really great value for money stay

Great stay over 4 nights. Very quiet in my one bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor and towards the river end. There was some building going on up the street but that is the norm these days. Excellent service and $10 parking around the corner in a lock up car park.

Accomodation Review

The room was great. A nice 1 bedroom apartment. Very spacious. However, the couch was small and very hard as was the only other lounge chair in the room

Arrived before 2pm they were happy for me to arrive early got free parking my 1bedroom apartment room 216 was awesome and spacious the bed was comfy and the bathroom was awesome :)

Great Stay very Central

Great stay!. Centrally located and close to restaurants a mall and a cinema (2 minute walk). Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was new, clean and had all the things (including power points for charging). My new home when I am in Hamilton.

I caught the intercity bus and the walk was a couple of blocks, less than 5mins. I checked in after hours which was no hassle. My room was tidy and warm and had everything I needed. The shower was fantastic after all day on the road!

Good accomm but tv needs to be upgraded. Most channels didn't work, no sport channels. Just seemed to be overseas channels where the picture kept failing

Overall good walking distance to CBD restaurants casino and pubs.

On check out the receptionist (male) walked us to our car park and let us in so we didn't have to come back to drop off the keys. That was awesome! Bed seemed a bit small and not a queen but other than that, a great little place to stay!

It is extremely convenient for work in the CBD. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is a good size with a washing machine, microwave etc plus a small balcony. Some of the facilities get moved around, eg I had a coffee plunger and bread knife the first night, but these were removed during the day so I had to improvise my breakfastmaking the second morning. The DVD player was in use by someone else when I asked about it.

Easy check in, friendly and helpful staff , perfect location easy walking distance to the restaurants and casino. One bedroom apartment is basic but clean and comfortable with kitchen. There is secure parking a two minute walk away and for accommodation right in the city centre it was nice and quiet at night.

Good location in the centre of town beside a shopping mall. No restaurant but there were several to choose from close by. Room was spotless, had full amenities to cook a meal. We only stayed 1 night. Front desk staff friendly & helpful.

Had a event to go to at Claudelands Event Centre, was perfect walking distance to venue, and nice eating places just down the road.
