Good value and location
Good value and location in the centre of the city. Good size apartment and comfortable. Staff at front desk welcoming and friendly. The carpet in the room was a hit worn otherwise everything was fine.
2 night
Loved the view of cbd and sky tower! Nespresso coffee was excellent as was condition of one bedroom apt. We were 2 nights and did not use the full kitchen area. Appreciated the sandwich shop and market downstairs as well.
The Quest on Hobson was just what we needed for our weekend. The apartment was clean and spacious and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed one night. Comfortable bed and decent sized room but the place is pretty run down. Our room had a power socket hanging off the wall exposing the wires behind and the general condition of the place is poor. None of it really bothered us for our one night stay though.
Nice quiet apartment with everything you need. Property is showing signs of ageing but is perfectly fine. Impressed with how quiet the property was. Carpark is quiet small so not ideal for larger vehicles.
The place is nice , i enjoy staying together with my friend ..it is very near in sky tower, love it
Ok place to stay.
Walking distance to Britomart, Viaduct, Sky City and SkyDrive (bus to/from airport). The apartment was clean and well appointed, with a full kitchen and separate bedroom. The interior of the building was quite run down and needed maintenance, but overall, it was more than adequate and good value for money in a great location.
Unit was great, roomy with everything you need plus a washer and dryer. Great location - very close to Sky Tower and Sky City Bus Terminal
The shower pressure & linen were excellent. Great location with a public carpark opposite & easy walk to shopping, restaurants & transport
Good size, central to my needs
This was a good location l and a great size.
I knew for the price it would be old, but I've never stayed somewhere quite so run down. Everything was incredibly stained, the floors, the walls. The TV didn't work. The aircon was hit and miss. The area wasn't nice to arrive in at night. Still, the staff were very helpful, so if you know what you're getting, maybe you still are looking for a bargain.
Great location close to everything and fully equipped with kitchen and laundry was a bonus. Super cheap. Only small issue was the tv kept cutting out.
Spacious rooms, need modernisation
The property is centralky located, suites are spacious and adequately equipped. The hotel feels dated and could do with some modernisation.
Enjoyed the location and friendly helpful staff
Awesome staff and stay!
I was worried after reading review but actually it was so good. Friendly staff and we had sorento enough space for parking. I didnt have any problem. The onlything was bit noisy outside as the building closed to the road but I know that hotel is not ablr to control of outside. Room was clean. I definately recommend if you are not sensiti e to noisy . Supermarket is near as well.
Clean, smart, perfect for a one-night stay.
This is a good, nice and well equip apartments. I do recommend this property.
Great location and access to food and attractions around the area, a bit dodgy though Because of the homeless and loud drunk people across the road
Good condition
The bed and the shower are AMAZING. But single glazing in the 21st century? There was a big crack in one of the bedroom window corners and all the windows were covered in condensation in the morning. There is no obvious extractor fan in the bathroom (HRV didn't do much) and since the shower had no bottom door seal or shower dome the bathroom got wet with condensation as well. But what a shower, lovely bed, and the view of the SkyTower out the bedroom window is quite cool too.
Had a wonderful experience at this property
離巴士站很近
離巴士站很近,窗戶外面就能看到天空塔!整體而言很不錯,但是沒有24小時櫃台對延遲入住的旅客有不太方便,希望有智慧電視可以看netflix
Location is everything!
Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was good. Bed, comfortable and Spacious. A few stains on the carpet in the room and hallway but overall, good for what it’s worth. Walking distance from coffee shops, restaurants etc. Won’t mind staying here again. 👍
Quiet, safe and convenient to town, eateries and transportation.
Excellent property, loved everything about it. Very cheap and handy. Utilised everything in the room. Very handy.. just a shame that the first night we checked in the reception didn’t explain to us how to turn lights on so we spent first night in the dark. And the parking was more expensive than advertised. Other than that, once we got the lights going everything was perfect. Definitely would stay again. I would recommend for them to have a Oncall maintenance person handy for after hours.
Unsafe kitchen layout caused an electrical fault and power outage.
Our room was great very spacious and had a good deck area. Very convenient to everything
We loved our stay at the Quest on Hobson St. Our room was perfect and the location was great. Everything we needed was there. Would recommend this to anyone
It was easy and well and truly a central location within walking distance to great entertainment The rooms were well kept and staff was super friendly
The staff at Quest on Hobson were wonderful, however the facility itself was dated, and in need of significant upgrade. Not a 4 star facility at all. We had gouges in the wall, old paint, the shower had a hole in the ceiling that the batts were coming out of, cracked floor tiles, the shower drain cover was unconnected and floating and the heat pump didn't work (it was freezing). One fork also didn't serve 2 people very well. Disappointing.
Clothes dryer was not working. When it was replaced, the replacement fell off the wall and almost caused bodily harm. We were traumatized. The toilet bowl was stained , the carpet was tattered and fraying on the edge , the hood in the stove had a problem - no light, the outside of the window close to the kitchen was covered with bird poo, the bathroom stall was not cleaned the routinely. The chairs for the table were giving away on the legs, the side tables for the bed were not accessible, the yellow single chair looked very dirty. Staff service was pleasant and welcoming both at reception and room. Our room was 302. The location was convenient for our purposes.
Spacious living room area was a big plus. Only thing that can be improved was instruction on use of microwave which was not very clear to foreigners who may be familiar with other brands. Microwave should be simple to use.
My stay was on the 6th floor and was able to see Auckland skyline.
Good location and fair price
Very good , with seperate lounge and 2 Tv, one TV on the room , one at the lounge, all facility include, only one things is the toilette ventilattion fan not working, so smell bad
Well located but in need of a spruce up. Scuffed walls, old worn carpet etc. I was there over Easter & there were very limited housekeeping services so no cleaning empty bins etc. Booked a room with city view and ended up overlooking an alley where they emptied glass rubbish collection every morning at 7am.
The staff at the main desk was very helpful. The location is great and the apartment had everything you needed.
Reception was not honest about parking. Dishes were dirty from start of stay Rooms were not made up everyday.( I know 1 day was public holiday). Carpets looks very dirty. Definitely not recommended to stay.
Property within walking distance of city centre, plenty of restaurants and activities close by.
Unit was beautiful, but a little.worse.for wear. Broken cabinets, blinds missing hooks, warped pans made cooking challenging.
I liked the location of the venue. I was able to get there in the night on my own safely.
Good central location but no on site parking
Hotel was in a great central location we were unable to access the discounted off site parking as all had been reserved prior to our arrival.. we had not been informed of the need to reserve and had to pay considerably more to park which was an unexpected cost
Great location
This is my second stay at Quest on Hobson. Great central location. Everything you need in an apartment - this is midway on my vacation so a great time to catch up on the laundry whilst enjoying everything central Auckland has to offer.
I liked everything, but the access card was a problem.I went out and had to take the card with me which meant my mate had sit in the dark till i got back,as the card acitivated the lights.A bit silly.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Our apartment was spacious and quiet. Great location, walking distance to Queen Street, Sky City etc. Very clean. Exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much. We will be back!!
Quest on Hobson
Our stay was very nice. We weren't expecting a 1 bedroom apartment with a washer and dryer, a full kitchen including an oven and dishwasher. We were there for 2 nights waiting to catch a cruise and were very happy to be able to start our cruise with clean clothes!
Beds are comfy and pick up to tours easy.
Really handy to everything.
Great location and price. Charged way too much for a rock hard rollaway bed that ultimately didn’t get used as it was like sleeping in concrete
Just across the street from the town-to-town bus stop!
Easy, nice place to stay, staff very friendly and helpful
If you are arriving/departing Auckland by InterCity bus or the SkyDrive bus from the airport, you cannot beat the location of Quest on Hobson: it's a 5 minute walk! The rooms are also great, including having a washer and dryer. Take note that reception closes early, but the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Love the experience
Property was OK.
Great stay, nice location
We had lovely stayed at Quest of Hobson Hotel, The room is immaculate, has nice view of Sky Tower. We were checked in late, around 2am, and the manager and duty very helpful.
No service whatsoever, broken bedside lamp, 'view' was into a neighbouring apartment. Avoid this property
Accommodations were spacious however furniture is old and wore. Bathroom fan didn’t work
Great property and fabulous staff
It’s in a great location but needed a lick of paint
Other than the fact I specifically requested a king bed and got one with a queen, everything else was good. The apartment is extremely functional and spacious. The staff was also very nice to us.
Hot and shut in
Checking was at 2, our room wasn’t ready until after 5. We were lucky that we had family stay so we could hang out in their room. Room ac hardly worked, and the evaporator cooler in room didn’t work as well. But luckily non of the windows open to keep the cool outside air out. To top it if we could only get one key to the room so you couldn’t go out separately.
I enjoy the room there’s nothing wrong if I only know that we can cook we bring our food to cook instead of us going buying food outside. Thanks my friend was so happy too. We both enjoyed stay there n we want to use it in future as well.
The 2 bedroom apartment had two bathrooms, which was a bonus, and we had awesome views of the Sky Tower. A little noisy though.
Better than a hotel room because of kitchen and laundry facilities, very spacious apartments. Helpful staff at reception. Good location.
Great location!
Visited Auckland with family. We loved the location as we could walk everywhere. We really enjoyed dinner at Tony’s just in the next block. Our 2-bedroom corner apartmen balcony had views down Hobson as well as to the Harbor.
Staff were accommodating and very nice. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, if a little dated. There was also some poor repair work done on some surfaces (i.e in the toilet where it had been plastered) but these were just cosmetic issues. The hotel is in a convenient location and car parking was secure, although this came at an extra cost. There were a lot of homeless people in the area as the city mission is located just across the street. The bed was very comfortable, with clean sheets and pillows. The carpet was a little dirty, however, this appeared to be from historical spills and stains and did not affect my stay in any way.
Property was conveniently located in CBD. Close to transportation and attractions, especially Sky Tower. Area is a little run down and property needs maintenance. Washing mashing leaked, flooding bathroom floor, toilet ran causing wasted water and electrical outlets and lights were loose and buzzing. Staff was friendly. Not as nice as other Quest properties where we have stayed.
Great property, clean spacious apartment, was way nicer than I thought it may be.
Rooms weren't what we booked and staff were not helpful at all. Booked 8 beds got 4. Staff said it wasnt there issue. Did then give us 2 fold out beds on day 2. Overall issue was between wotif and the hotel yet we were the loosers in the situation. Poor
1/2 of the Bed was on the floor. The bedroom had no air conditioning vent in room.
We paid a premium rate of $1649 NZ for a penthouse. The property was in terrible condition. Wallpaper falling off walls Carpet all rippled The ceiling had what looked like spit balls on it. The cheap furniture tables were covered with bargin store table clothes. Damage to walls. Even the hand wash was watered down to the point when you used it , it sprayed all over the basin. The staff were nice. However i was very disappointed with the premises. You couldnt even enjoy the view as there were no sheer curtains, only thick block out curtains which we had to keep closed so the construction workers couldn't see in our room. Glad we only stayed 3 nights . I did look for alternate accommodation but time of year didnt help.
Everything was Good..nothing’bad’to add. It was a Pleasure to stay in your hôtel. Last tripI stayed at Quest on Queen street.
The location is great. Room was excellent and had everything we needed. Housekeeping were great room was clean and well stocked. Front desk service was very responsive and friendly. There is a convenient store and subway next door which was very handy. A number of food options within walking distance. The only thing people will need to be mindful of (this is outside of the control of the hotel) but there are a number of homeless that hang around near the entrance at night but they never harrassed us during our stay so it wasnt a peoblem. I would stay here again if we needed to be in auckland city in future.
close proximity easy parking great place to stay fronnt desk helpful on arrival
They need to hire more housekeepers! I stayed 6 nights anly had fresh towels 2 days because I asked, they never cleaned my room, I had to wash my bed sheets. Room was full of dark hair, I don't have dark hair. Very dirty hotel, O grossed out staying there, cleaned what I could while I was there.
The hotel is postioned within very short walking distances from EVERYTHING in central Auckland. It's location.is a huge bonus. Be wary of the many construction projects going on in the vicinity of the hotel.
Great central location, across the road from sky Tower, so always easy to navigate back to. Downhill walk 2 blocks to main queen street shopping district and food courts. Great accommodation, with smart tv, laundry and kitchen facilities. Nice and clean, carpet a bit worn and tired.
6 night stay as part of a 3 week trip
very central location, very clean and comfortable with excellent facilities which made life easy during my stay.super friendly and helpful staff.
Location is good, property/room in need if repairs and a deep clean. Shower head leaking, bathroom fan not working, thick dust all over walls dry use of dryer from other guests? No body wash or conditioner in the shower products pump. Window sills dirty and need of repairs. Previous guests hair clips on floor so not sure if it was vacuumed throughly prior to us checking in. Beds missing a sheet between the blanket. Bonus with this place is parking on site for $35. Would I stay here again probably not.
Loved how spacious it was, had everything needed if i was to stay longer. Will definitely be stahing again
Great staff... But loud and noisey, windows have a draft of cold wind as if windows are not sealed properly, homeless all along the footpath outside the hotel, every bit if noise comes in to the room, construction and works in the alley way next to the property throughout the night. Facilities are average and bed is hard. All amenities close by and convenient location but for the price, there are better options out there.
Enjoyed my stay here as it was spacious and clean plus I had a great view from the balcony. Staff were amazing and friendly from check in to check out. It was good stay overall however, hotel definitely needs to upgrade their TV's (or maybe just the two in the room I was in lol) so that customers have the option of watching/using different apps on it as it's only normal TV with a few available channels. So definitely take your laptop and other devices including the necessary wires to connect if you plan to stay here and want to watch something else other than what has been mentioned.
We enjoyed the stunning view of the Sky Tower, as well as the warm accommodation. Staff were very helpful during the late check in process.
Great room in Ann excellent location. All necessities were provided including kitchen with plenty of utensils. Spacious, clean, and comfortable.
Great spot. Easy to find and accessible to everything in the city. Room was nice. We had a super late after hours check-in, it was all very quick and easy. Car park is a little tricky to get in and out of, but still great to have access to one. Only down side, was no heater or heat lights in the bathroom.
It was clean, comfy, a convenient location and an amazing view of the Sky Tower. The only issue was a very loud party in the appartment above us on the Saturday night which made it very difficult to sleep.
Everything was fine.
I was shocked that the hotel charged me in advance without any prior notification which has violated the terms and condition as per Expedia that allowed me to pay at the property. In fact, I was going to use another card for payment. However, the hotel has charged to the card on file which incurred addition surcharge. I informed the hotel and Expedia immediately but the staff just said it was hotel policy and no remedial action taken. I was very disappointed. I thinks if it is the hotel policy to charge guest in advance, Expedia should not offer pay at the property option to the guest!
Great accommodation thank you
It was dope
The apartment was great, clean, tidy and spacious. The patio furniture though wasn't good, was very rickety. The view would have been fantastic, if it wasn't for all the construction going on.
With building construction next door, the ability to find Quest apartments on a bustling one-way street made things difficult! also, the lack of parking availability made the stay less enjoyable!
Great location for getting on and off the motorway, Aotea Sq and a few great eateries, also car parking options
We had a one bedroom apartment with balcony which was good ,as the weather wasn’t kind to us so we spent quite a bit of time inside the balcony was great as it was covered . The receptionist was helpful when our travel plans changed and we had to extend our stay there and we were able to stay in same room .A lot of construction goin on around there so a bit noisy
Customer service was non existent. Called ahead to confirm an early 12pm check in and onsite parking 2 days prior. On arrival (1pm) reception told us that check in is at 2pm. The lady at the counter seemed more interested playing on her phone than doing her job. She was super rude and told me check in was 2pm. I then explained to her that I got confirmation that I could check in at 12pm. She didn’t seem to care nor did she even bother asking if the room was cleaned yet or how far away it is. She then told me that I am not able to use the carpark till 2pm then advised me to park across the road at wilson. I gave up and ended up going back at 2pm. 28 HOURS AFTER check out I get an email saying that the room was damaged. They sent me photos of a broken chair that was not used or touched during our stay. They tried to charge me $250 for damages without my consent. I believe they are under new ownership, I have stayed there on 3 previous occasions and never had any issues. I would no longer recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of other options which offer better value for your money. Never coming back here again
We really appreciated the great customer service provided to our family as we visited Auckland to watch the tennis. Onsite parking and interconnecting rooms really helped our three generation family enjoy our short stay. Quest apartments are a great option in large cities for family groups.

Beautiful unit but area was not safe especially at night
