For the entire time I was there my room wasn’t clean at all. The cleaning lady knocked on my door when I left she never cleaned my room. That’s why I gave a bad review.

Friendly staff. Room was clean but shore was not functional and hot water luke warm

I reserved a non-smoking room well in advance… got there to check in, and the only thing they had was a smoking room. This room was absolutely disgusting, was dirty, smelled bad of course, and the lady at the front counter couldn't give two craps about it. I couldn't get the air system to work properly and the ceiling fan didn't work ...so I spent the night in a nasty smelling room with no air circulation.

What i like about my stay was a warm breakfast and close to shopping mall

Decent one night stay

Hotel needs updating, no ice machines. Staff was friendly and helpful. Decent one night stop, decent value for the money.

Started bad...ended great except for parking!!!!!

Checked in hr early....got room with no frig, no micro, hard beds.....talked to mnmgt and got better room....more comfy...no parking in front of hotel...just 4 spots by rooms....to much landscaping, not enough parking in front.....

This is an old hotel and I felt like I was over charged!

The room was dirty. There were nail clippings left beside the bed, the sheets seemed like they were not clean, and there was hair in the shower floor.

Tub was slow draining and dirty, but other than that all was just fine.

Room was dated, but clean. staff was friendly. It's not a resort, but it was a cheap, clean, quiet bed.

Good for the price, minor issues

Friendly staff, decent breakfast, comfortable beds and mostly clean. The air conditioner didn't work well, there was some type of construction in the next room that was very loud and when we returned on our last day the room was covered in dust that looked like someone had been sanding Sheetrock. All of our belonging and all surfaces and the beds were covered in a light dusting. Plus, there was the clipping of a cigar next to the bed when we arrived in our NO SMOKING room.

Nice hotel for the price

This is an older hotel with outdoor room entrances, but the rooms are very clean and have surprisingly updated electronics. Our room had a very large mini refrigerator and a nice TV.

Quick post football stop

This was a very brief stay, but room was very clean and comfortable and an excellent value for the rate.

Good place to stay the night.

Overall this place was great. It wasn't the fanciest place, but the room was comfortable and clean. However, I am pretty certain the beds were not queen size beds. I would say they were closer to full size. Other than that, no complaints.

Get what you pay for - nothing special and service below par. Walked in to check in to find a big dog behind the counter. Breakfast was a joke.

FLW Tourament

My husband and I were there for a FLW tourament and the boat needs to stay plugged in there's not a lot of outlets outside but we could plug it in from the room and it worked just fine. no matter what we needed day or night we could get it,everyone was very helpful, would most definitely stay there again!

Stay at Calera

Hotel was great, excellent value for the price. Only negative was at check in. Counter person was on the phone for several minutes and would not even acknowledge me. When she finished her phone call she looked at me and said: :"Whadya want?", not exactly a professional greeting. All other staff were friendly and very courteous.

Here is the negatives: Room smelled, old and musty. We were put in the back and the view is not very good (old building). Room was clean, the beds were very comfortable. The breakfasts were great. No loud neighbors. Hotel staff very nice. I would recommend this to others if they are in the area. For that price we got, it is a good hotel.

No problems, typical room. Good location plenty of places to eat and convenient to interstate.

Better than ok

Accommodation was good, breakfast good. The phone was not working properly - I could hear the caller but they could not hear me. Thank goodness for cell phones.

Excellent Night in Calera

It was a short stay at the Quality Inn. The location was only 3 miles from my appointment, the room was nice and comfortable. The night clerk was very accomidating. Over-all a nice place to rest my head.

Its Worth It!

My significant other& I visited this site during Thanksgiving & Valentines day... No regrets, had fun, no complaints.. Clean, Renovated, Food was fulfilling, Spacious, & Nice ppl. Location was not the best, because of distance from entertainment district, however, away from busy traffickers, quite, & easy access2 highway.. Overall, satisfied & would recommend..

Close to where we were going

The hotel was not up to date as we thought. We would like to have spoken to the manager for reservations instead of an agent because he could answer questions about the hotel.

Terrible Service Borderline Theft

I tried using the Expedia Mobile App to book. Unfortunately it booked me the same day I used the app rather than the week later when I needed it. I received the confirmation email instantly after booking and realized the error. I immediately contacted the hotel to move the reservation for the correct date. The woman at the front desk said I needed to contact Expedia to which I did. Expedia stated that the hotel said they would need to speak with the hotel manager the next business day. When I called back the next day Expedia said the hotel manager said that I was marked as a no show and the audit had been ran. Nice theft of my money!!! Fortunately Expedia stated that they would refund me themselves and I rebooked with Hampton Inn of Calera instead.

Not usually picky but was too much to overlook

It was only for one night and there was a $50 difference in price from this hotel and the Hampton Inn. Next time I will pay the extra. My tub had a ring around it and black scum on the walls. My mirrors had not been wiped in a long time and I am not sure the sliding mirror closet door had ever been cleaned. It was gross. My coffee maker was even dirty and I had a spider crawling up my wall. I was in room 109. The positive about it is that my bed was comfortable and my tv worked.

I was quite disappointed, as my room was nothing like the ones pictured on the web site. It was very small, the shower dripped constantly, the ironing board was too warped to use, and the wireless internet connection was so weak it was impossible to use. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable.

Close to Talladega

Hotel was convenient to Talladega Super Speedway the day before race (about an hour away). Comfortable beds, clean room and even had country fried steak at breakfast. Hotel staff was nice and proficient. I will definitely be staying there again.

Very good breakfast, comfortable bed, good tv coverage and quality.

Ugh!

Rented two rooms and both bathrooms were filthy. When I went to the front desk about it, I was given a rag, comet, and an apology. The tubs were crusted with dirt and scum. We didn't take showers. Non smoking rooms were smelly from smoke and musky and carpets were dirty. The next morning I spoke to the manager and he did not care.I paid full price for bad service. I will NEVER stay there again!

hotel needs some work DISSAPOINTED

Hotel was difficult to find. The fountains outside were nasty. The room as long as you didn't look close well needless to say the ceiling looked horrible' I know but when you are in bed and look up and see a nasty ceiling enough said. The sheets were worn out. The bedspread was also. But we stayed it was late and had reservations. Got up for breakfast the oj was nothing but water no gravy cold bicuits no fruit and donuts were gone except for one. Not to happy with this hotel and will drive further next time for better room

Fine room, forget breakfast

The hotel is not fancy, but it was adequately clean and comfortable. The terribly overcooked and under seasoned eggs at breakfast were inedibly bad.

We were there for the week, the price was good and the room was close to everything that we needed in calera.

Staff offered to cook extra breakfast for us without us asking and delivered extra bed promptly.

Just okay

It needs a " facelift". Outdated on decor and reservation policy. Hotel still using old fationed credit card swipe machine, With carbon copies. With all the credit card fraud this is something they definately needs to be update to protect their clients. Very disappointed with this and would definately not stay again because of this policy. Complimentary breakfast was nice.

A great stay

We had a great stay. We came for "a day with Thomas" the location was great us. The morning breakfast was great. We were close to shopping and great restaurants. If we are in Calera, AL we will stay here again.

Older building, modern convieniences

We have stayed at this motel several times. it has all the amenities without over-charging you. WIFI, a free decent breakfast, flat-screen TV. Even had a ceiling fan! All-in-all, a good place to stay!

It is a hotel

The check in process took 20 minutes due to the computer system, although the individual checking me in was very friendly. The room decor is dated about 15+ years ago. I could hear people talking outside all night long.
