Stunning property. The room was beautiful. Cleanliness was impeccable. Breakfast buffet was delicious! Walking distance to great restaurants. Highly recommended.

The service at the front desk was awesome, the room was clean and amenities were great. The interiors were tried and wall paper peeling. The restaurant and bar had no vegan meal options that were appealing. Got a salad with just lettuce vegan dressing and cheese and couple of croutons. Disappointed 😞 The mini bar wasn’t badly priced.

Super friendly staff, location is perfect. Everything is with in 5 to 10 minute walk.

We stayed here for one night on our road trip. Although we loved the hotel, location and room, the parking charges of $59 a night seemed very excessive. This is Valet Parking only. Yes, you do have the option to park on the local roads, but as this is only free between 5pm and 9am, you would need to pop out early and pay if checking out later as we were. We opted to pay the charge for convenience. After travelling around New Zealand for a month, this was the only place we paid for parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they have a free milk machine in the lobby. We looked at the restaurant for breakfast, but thought the choice was limited, we found a very nice breakfast a few doors up. If we returned we would probably stay elsewhere due to the parking charge.

Great stay

Lovely hotel in a good location. Very spacious rooms. Providing cold filtered water and fresh milk to teas and coffees. Nice touch. Helpful reception team.

Very disappointed in our stay here. For the money you pay we expected more Room was not ready at checkin. Staff not attentive Glasses in the room dirty, no soap left in the room, the fact you have to ring to get shower caps, You have to go down stairs for milk if you require this in your coffee or tea We won’t be staying here again

We really enjoyed our stay- the only thing we didn’t like was the glass toilet cubicle rather than a seperate bathroom.

All staff were extremely helpful and efficient. The dining options and valet parking were convenient with good service. However, it’s the first hotel that I have stayed in that does not have a separate bathroom - even a sliding door across the bathroom area would be better

Absolutely loved the Pullman, service is 5 star, the room was spacious and very clean. Would definitely stay here again only issue is the hotel does not have carparks and you have to pay for valet parking bit there is parking on the street that is free from 5pm to 9am Weekdays and from 12pm on Saturday. Buffet breakfast was ok.

Conveniently located. Free flow of milk was good especially when you have kids, they love it Cons: leftover Lego toys on the floor from the previous occupant. After house keeping, the towels were not replenished

Modern room, with cool carpets and quite fancy. Nice and dark in the morning. The shower/toilet behind glass enclosures is rather close quarters… I wouldn’t bunk with a mate in one of these rooms. Good enough for families or couples though. Yummy buffet with most of what you’d want. Some bits missing though if I was being picky. Overall a really nice place to stay and be.

AC heater not working. Lakeview but room got no vi

AC/heater not working. Hskp deliver portable heater but also not working. Told us our AC got rebooted need to take a while. Wait 1hr room still freezing. Then replace another portable heater. Took 5-6x coming back in the room before somehow room temperature got fix. Booked a lakeview. But room given got no view at all

The hotel itself isn’t bad but not the best for the price. Also we had my wife’s Apple AirPods stolen from the room. Not misplaced. We knew exactly where they were left and vanished while we were out when the room was serviced. Not a good feeling. Staff were nice about it but can offer no solution. Be warned.

Weird rooms

Strange room layout.. No bathroom but rather a shower and toilet in the room. Bizarre. Cocktail was one of the worst but $50 for two! Outrageous! Check in and out times were good. Breakfast not too bad.

Don't book this hotel, the layout of the rooms are awful! You open the door to the bathroom. There's no privacy even if you go as a couple it's not the hotel you should choose. Positives: staff are lovely!

excellent venue

Very nicely located place with awesome views of lake Rotorua from some of the rooms. Staff were very helpful and I felt really welcome. Special shout out to Jaena who helped guide me to the best spots in the city.

Good location

The rooms were incredibly quiet - there was zero noise from outside our room, which is rare for a centrally located hotel. The room was spacious, clean & modern. The "open plan" style with the toilet and shower opening directly onto the room was a little "confronting" - even sharing the room with my husband of 20 years, it was a little weird to have no audio-privacy in the toilet & frosted glass walls. There was also a huge concrete pillar nearly in the centre of the room - a feature of the high rise building, no doubt, but a little odd having such a huge pole in the middle of the room. Bed was comfy & the couch seating option was appreciated. TV was also lovely & large, with the option to cast our own streaming service from our phone.

Recommend

The room is spacious and clean. Service is good. Only one complaint is there is no handwash/ soap besides the sink.

The Hotel is very good! Great location for walking around the city and my kids is really enjoyed the breakfast buffet !

Disappointed

Disappointed with my stay. Great central location. Close to restaurants. Room advertised as view of city..had a view of alley ways and back of buildings. Front desk check-in person was "in training" per her badge and had no "trainer" with her, very sweet but had much difficulty checking me in. Key card did not work after 1 hour. Room was very very hot, could not get it turned down to comfortable temp, called front desk and they said they would send someone to turn it down, no one ever showed. Otherwise very clean and spacious room.

Great hotel, comfortable room, very good staff

Room was lovely and well appointed although we did pay for a city view room but was given a first floor room looking directly onto the grungy carpark which had a lot of use so curtains remained closed due to privacy. We complained to reception about the room allocation and got a "Oh" from them but no promise of rectifying, etc. I guess we got to supervise our vehicle parked outside our window! Breakfast was adequate but nothing to write home about and our dinner at their restaurant was ordinary but pricey.

The hotel is comfortable, modern and a pleasant place to stay. However the shortage of housekeeping staff meant our room was not made up until late afternoon.

Hotel was good for the most part. Please stay away from room 101! 3 night stay and not one full night of sleep in this room. Sat night room 101 is right below a bar on the street. Live music was so loud from 9 to midnight we could not even hear our tv on full volume. Sun and Mon morning at 6am room 101 shares a wall with the hotel gym. You start hearing loud banging an shaking all morning. The room window is a parking ramp with a bright green stop light about ten feet from the window. The worst.room experience of my life. If they try put you in room 101 demand another room or run to another hotel!!!!

UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE

We paid $100 extra to have twin beds the configuration of the room was inadequate for a superior room we had paid for we paid for valet parking and given a tablet to make a call 5 mins before the car was needed ...the first call we made went thru to a message bank in America...the 2nd call we made got thru to reception so 5 mins later we went down expecting the car to be out front, not there and reception were vague about the call we made so went to find someone to bring the car around...20 mins it took to get the car...don't expect your car in 5 mins as almost the same incident happened a 2nd time the restaurant we chose the hotel for was closed

Good stay

Great location, nice lobby, friendly staff. Room was large and comfortable, no hooks for hanging towels was the only issue, otherwise the room was great.

This is a very tired property with a very strange bathroom arrangement, the shower and toilet open to the room and the sink area is in the room. The wall paper was peeling from the walls in several places and the bed was very uncomfortably hard. Sadly, the rest of the hotels in the area looked just as tired.

The layout of the room is really funny and weird designed without welcome ambience and privacy, it’s the worst Pullman I have been stay with. It doesn’t worth the value.

Rooms are not comfortable, very bad smell

We absolutely adored the suite we stayed in. We were away for 2 nights having a well needed break from the renovations at home, being able to finally just relax in a beautiful clean environment with room service and an amazing guest service team. We definitely want to stay again. A

Spent 3 nights here and the stay was great! Water is refillable in the lobby area and they even had the option of sparking water which is cool. The only downside was the hotel parking was quite expensive in my view (but they do let you charge your EV here is you do). I opted to parked on the road where parking is free from 5pm to 8am and use the ChargeNet station which is quite near the hotel instead.

The hotel is located at the ideal location. It is close to everything. Room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the lake. Staff are all friendly and helpful. The only part that my wife and I did not like was the pretty much required valet parking.

Nice property w reasonable rates

It was centrally located, staff were warm and helpful and the room excellent. The restaurant too was good.

I read reviews and changed our room to deluxe to get the larger room. The room was clean with nice space. The bed was to hard and not comfortable. I’ve read this in other reviews so they know it’s a common complaint. I suggest they do something to fix it. The bathroom had no towel hangers or hooks, which made reusing a towel impossible. The restaurant is a typical hotel facility and adequate. Overall I would say it’s the nicest hotel in town.

Stunning views across the lakes, beautifully appointed room and luxurious bedding. Only thing that vould have improved it would have been a bath but then who needs that when you have a natural polynesian spa a few minutes away! Bliss!

For the best hotel In Rotorua- needs to lift their quality. Disappointing to booked the best suite only to offer the minor amenities. Not living up to the expectation of Pullman’s standard.

I would definitely stay here again. Customer Service was exceptional 5/5. Parking was an issues if you don't want to pay for valet parking, off-street gets filled up early. I'm very particular with cleanliness/conditions. I couldn't do 5/5 for cleanliness only because in noticed very minor mold in the shower, so gave it 4/5. Overall, facilities were 5 star as advertised :)

I enjoyed my stay at Pullman in Rotorua. We had great time there, it’s located in a very central area in the city. We enjoyed nice buffet breakfast. We didn’t had to go around finding food. Plus everything opens late and closes early so breakfast at this hotel was very convenient for us. Only problem we faced was the parking. We had to find parking on street after hours. But we were able to drive around and find space to park.

unfortunately we got given a room which had a faulty shower knob which didn't work. Also, the breakfast doesn't include coffee.

Lovely welcoming staff. Parking is a breeze with their valet parking. Rooms are nice an modern. Breakfast was lovely.

Our room wasn’t thoroughly clean upon arrival. Crumbs on the table, personalised card from the last guest on the couch, glasses in the bathroom with mouth marks on them (to name a few). When we advised the desk on check out they sad ‘oh’. I know there isn’t much they can do on checkout but some acknowledgment or apology would have gone a long way. Bed was horrible quality, it was cheap and hard.

Modern hotel with troubling quirks

One of several hotels we stayed at during a New Zealand vacation. No problems at all with the Pullman staff (except possibly the bartender who was confused about how to make a whiskey and soda) or the condition of the place. It is a modern, well maintained location. Unfortunately the rooms appear to be designed for the individual business traveler rather than the couple or family. The bathroom and bed share the same space with the w/c and shower which are in individual glassed-in pods with little sound insulation. Also, the effective nightly rate should account for the valet parking - no other real option - and the very expensive breakfast. Again, all good for the business traveler on expenses but not for vacationers.

Great restaurant and service, poor rooms

The hotel staff were great, we thought the restaurant was really good, GREAT menu and prompt room service delivery couldn't fault, all of that was great. Downsides mattress felt like a cheap motel, bouncy and the bed was not great nor were the pillows and the bathroom and the toilet were both seperate glassed enclosures in the room which was awful. I would not stay again
