I dont think they know what their customers require from them. They seem to be overwhelmed with the daily to do’s instead of their guest. Poor customer service.
This is not an hotel or a Bed and Breakfast but a working farm (vineyard and olive groves) with a beautiful guesthouse with comfortable basic bedrooms. The dinners are family style for each room/group and there is only one menu per evening. The dinners were delicious and the wine was very good. There were activities you could sign up for as well. But the greatest part of the property is the views of the vineyards, olive groves, and the Tuscan countryside. Absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful. The family who owns it and their staff were all friendly and helpful. We felt renewed after staying there.
Lovely stay, what we needed
Easy check in, nice staff, lovely location and reasonably priced. They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine on check out and the breakfast was sufficient. Pool was ice cold so may be only go in if you’re brave or it’s hot outside. Would have been interesting to do a wine tour of the property but they were booked up when we were there
Beautiful property! Food and the views were amazing
Loved our stay! Chiara was super helpful since we arrived after 7pm. Dinner @8pm both nights was yummy. And they had a free wine tasting on one of the nights we were there. We stayed at the annex building but since we had a car we drove to main building easily. We even were gifted a wine bottle at checkout. Would love to come back one day.
The views are spectacular. We had the apartment style accomadation, which was excellent. We were able to have our own breakfast in our apartment. The kitchen had equipment.
Property was very nice and the views of the valleys below are stunning from all rooms. Staff were great and the nightly dinners very good. We would definitely stay there again.
We booked an apartment, but we’re very surprised that no cleaning products or tea towel were supplied. The rooms were spacious. No ironing board or iron suppled. No toaster or kettle supplied in kitchenette. Towels were not replaced in the 5 nights we stayed. Wi fi band width was very poor.
The views from stay were incredible . We stayed in the main house . We stayed for dinner our first night which was one of our favorite meals in our eurotrip. Chiara did our wine tasting and she was so knowledgeable and helpful . We definitely would love to come back !
This property was beautiful. Great views and excellent service!
Very cute farm house vibes. Air conditioning was plenty and with the pool right outside our apartment it was easy to stay cool. The view from the infinity pool was to die for. Classical rolling hills showing off the infinite number of olive trees and grape vines for as far as the eye can see. Exactly what you you dreamed of Tuscany. Zoe (the farm dog) does a great job greeting all the guest and during meals making sure that any offerings to her are taken care of gently ;). Breakfast was good - offering all the basics you need to get your day started on the right food. For dinner be warned - you will not leave hungry. The food was good also! I would recommend doing one of the wine tours offered on location and to visit the grounds. The appartement was very generous in size and the view was just wow, however the bed was very hard offering little to no padding but aside from this everything else was great. We were in the lower annexe building in appartement 5. Aside from the beds not being that confortable I would recommend the stay to anyone wanting to visit the region. Staff were very friendly and welcoming :)
We stayed at Poderi Arcangelo with our two teenage daughters. We all loved our stay so much. The pool was beautiful, food and wine were delicious, and the staff were so helpful and lovely. We did a cooking class which was a highlight. We also ate at the restaurant 2 times and loved it. Thank you Poderi Arcangelo! We left feeling relaxed and happy. Give Zoe a cuddle from all of us!
the property and space is gorgeous
The views from this property were breath taking, so beautiful. The accommodation was very clean and the food was amazing. All of the staff were friendly and really helpful apart from one. The reception manager was rude and abrupt not just with us but with the other staff in the office. Apart from her being unpleasant I couldn’t fault the stay .. perfect!
Loved our stay in Tuscany. Note.. there is no fridge in the room & limited nightly menu that was delicious. You also have to rent your pool towels.
Loved the pool. The walk to breakfast and dinner was beautiful surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. The staff very helpful. The area is stunning and views at breakfast and dinner were amazing
The property is beautiful and the pool is breathtaking. The rooms are a little dated but the view makes up for it for sure! You cannot beat the sunset view from their restaurant. Highly recommend!!
Tuscany Dream
This place is a gem! The drive up is stunning. Beautiful surroundings. We only stayed 1 night but wished it could have been longer. Wonderful breakfast buffet in the morning on the patio overlooking the rolling hills of vineyards.Exactly what you picture Tuscany looking like. The pool was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!
Scenery was beautiful, very nice Pool but no towels for pool. Staff some were extremely nice and helpful others not so helpful breakfast and dinners were good. Rooms could use some updates. Bathroom had a sewer smell no hooks, no towel holder or toilet paper holder, shower very small. We stayed in the house below and there is no way to contact main office in case of an emergency they do not answer the phone or emails.
Perfect location in Tuscany, quiet place, perfect for relaxation, restaurant on side, 3 pools , breakfast included
Excellent farmstay experience surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Great dining space.
Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff were very friendly, the food was fantastic, the location was incredible. Very close to San Gimignano so lots to do and see around the area. The pool at the main house very clean and has amazing views. The Wine Tour and cooking class both very fun and great value for money. Would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here and will be returning in the future.
We had amazing time here. Just lovely all around and highly recommend to go here to get away from all !
Beautiful location and very good farm stay
Beautiful location. Very nice room with a lovely view. Dinner was good value, food wholesome and nice. Convivial atmosphere which was nice but service at dinner needed to be a little more professional and pleasant. Breakfast was good but would have liked a better selection of breads and meats and hot eggs.
Lovely stay
Our accommodation was clean and the service was very good however check in was understaffed. The room was a bit small for 3 and a bit hot and airless as it only had a small window. Overall it was a lovely stay, the included breakfast was really good and the pool and veiws were amazing
Great stay in Tuscany. We enjoyed a 4 course dinner at the hotel. Pool area is great.
Pass Next Time
I recently had the displeasure of staying at Poderi in the countryside of Italy, and I must say that the experience was highly disappointing. The pictures on the hotel's website were a far cry from the reality of the room. Upon arrival, I was initially charmed with the exterior that gave off the promise of a tranquil and picturesque stay in the Italian countryside. However, the room I was given did not match the idyllic image that the hotel's website had painted. The room was small, no character, outdated, and lacked any semblance of charm that I had expected. The furniture appeared to be from a bygone era and desperately needed an upgrade. The bed was uncomfortable, with a lumpy mattress and scratchy bedding. It was just a ROOM and that's it. The bathroom was another disappointment. It was cramped, and the fixtures were in dire need of repair. The shower was barely functional, with inconsistent water pressure and temperature. It was a challenge to take a comfortable shower after a long day of exploring the countryside. The shower was a death trap. With the slippery green glass like tile that transitions to a shower water pan you could easily fall or slip with just a little bit of soap. If you plan on the WIFI good luck, it was nonexistent in my room until I went outside. Furthermore, the view from my room was eh ok. I had a view of a dilapidated outbuilding and a parking lot.
Stunning property with the most incredible breathtaking views. Note that the property is very remote therefore you will need a car to get to it and a car to get from each building on the property. It would be useful to know that dinner is only served at 8pm and there is not really any food or drinks available in between so would be good to come stocked with supplies.
The scenery was magnificent and the family and staff very hospitable - we would highly recommend!
Greatly recommended
Last minute reservation. Pleasantly surprised. Will return in future. Beautiful location. Long story, but do not travel there at night.
Idealistic
Stayed in the rooftop window room for 2 nights in the annex which wasn't ideal as the place was full... but it was a full for a reason. What a place - unbelievable views, breakfast was good and the dinner was top tier. The free wine tasting on the terrace was a particularly nice touch. We stayed here for 2 nights just after our wedding in Puglia and couldn't be happier with it as a place to unwind. Staff very attentive/knowledgable. Pool had a great view (starting to get a bit colder now though!). A short drive from San Gimignano.
Unforgettable trip to Chianti!
We had the most wonderful time at Poderi Arcangelo! The views from the guest house were breathtaking, the staff were friendly and helpful, the pool was amazing with wonderful views, and the food was delicious! We ate dinner in the restaurant every night - their wine was lovely and each course was beautifully prepared by their in-house cook! We hired bikes on one day which was kindly organised by staff, allowing us to explore the local area including San Gimignano. We loved the character of the place too - lovely and rustic surrounded by vineyards. We also enjoyed a wine tasting one evening. On our final night, my boyfriend even proposed to me between the olive trees and vines! An unforgettable trip - we would return in a heartbeat!
One of the best places i ever stayed!!!! If you going to Tuscany that is the place to be . Alberto his family and his team are awesome. Their wines and olive oil are the best !!!!! We will be back for sure .
Amazing views of the property vineyards. Breakfast was so fresh and delicious. I would highly recommended this place and would stay again. Easy drive to the historic San Gimignano. This is a family owned establishment that met our needs of getting an authentic Tuscan experience. If you’re looking for a 4 or 5 star hotel then this is not for you but if you’re looking for a 5 star Tuscan experience then this is it!
the property it is amazing, excellent service and the pool view it is breathless…
Full of rustic charm
We had a wonderful stay at Poderi Arcangelo. Full of rustic charm and perfectly located in the middle of rolling Tuscan hills and near to San Gimignano, Certaldo & Volterra which are all well worth a visit. Staff very helpful and friendly, food lovely, cleanliness was good. Ample parking. We stayed in the main house in a family room which was very spacious. Pool area is perfect for admiring the amazing views. Would stay again.
Great Farm Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at the farm. The setting is gorgeous wit 360 views of the Tuscan hills. We had to leave early on our last day and got to experience the spectacular sunrise over the hills. The farm is authentic with well-appoiinted buildings and rooms that are all very comfortable. The dining room has a gorgeous view and is used for meals and wine tastings. The infinity pool on the west side is new and boasts yet another great view. Nothing beats the refreshing water on a hot day! lots of chairs which was great. We enjoyed a wine tasting by the owner with their own wines and had dinner one of our nights at the hotel. It was delicious. The proximity to San Gimignano was easy or a typically curvy Tuscan Road. And one of the best things was the service. Everyone was super friendly and gracious from the moment we arrived. It's probably the thing that makes me want to go back the most! Don't miss a stay at Poderi Arcangelo.
Enjoyed an amazing 4 night stay. The property is stunning. Our room was very clean and we had a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the hills and vineyards. The staff was very friendly and the wine tasting was informative. Easy drive to many tourist spots. Looking forward to coming back!
Such an amazing stay. Very convenient to set off for day trips to Siena, Florence, San Gimignano etc. the property is gorgeous with stunning views and the staff is amazing. Highly recommend. Rent a car in Florence. You won’t regret it.
The staff was excellent. Melania, Irene and the kitchen staff were excellent. There aren’t too many amenities. The pool was not in operation. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The shower was tight. The rest of the room was good. There aren’t many taxis in the Tuscany area. The facility Will recommend a driver named Urbino. Urbino will charge a lot (50 euros for a 8 minute drive)
So beautiful! This property is amazing! Absolutely pure Tuscany! The farmhouse room was very authentic. We loved seeing Zoie, the dog, at meal time every morning. Delicious wine, too!
Amazing!
Absolutely loved our stay at Poderi Arcangelo! The views are amazing, people very friendly and the dinners were delicious and very reasonable priced. Super confident and true italian locally sourced food. We will be back soon!
It was a very nice property and location. work was being carried out to get it ready for the summer season
We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The grounds and views were unbelievably beautiful. Everyone was very friendly and very welcoming. We had a one bedroom apartment and it was the perfect place to explore many different towns in Tuscany. You definitely need a car but I would say that is probably true of many Agriturismos. We also had a delicious dinner twice at their restaurant. Really special. We would definitely like to stay again.
Fantastic property with really amazing views and location for exploring the property and surrounding area like San Gimignano and Siena, etc. Highly recommend having dinner there too! We didn’t use the pool but it looked really good, also with great views. Would stay there again.
The views are amazing and for the price it’s worth it. The grounds are very clean and the pools are beautiful. I’m American, so I’m used to certain comforts when I stay somewhere. For instance, they will not store your luggage until your room is ready. You need to follow their strict check in and check out times. If you’re leaving before the reception opens you must check out the night before. There was no coffee or a machine in my room and the fridge is shared in a common area with the other guests. No coffee in the common area either. If you’re not staying on the main property you will need a car. The main house is on a hill so walking up to it a few times a day for breakfast and dinner can take about 15-20 minutes on foot each way. Going up the hill is harder than coming down. The cooking class was fantastic and their dinners were delicious. I recommend asking for the steak Florentine. I recommend they get a golf cart for the guests staying off the property. Maybe someone can take them up to the main house whenever needed. I still recommend the stay here.
Better than the pictures
Amazing location, views and swmming pool. The stuff of fairy tales...
Amazing view, clean rooms, delicious meals, and friendly staff.
It was a wonderful stay, we loved the property.
Gem
Heaven on earth this little gem. No complaints. The cooking lesson was fab.
The vineyard and area were gorgeous. It was a rainy day though and so the wine tour was cancelled. There also weren't enough folks staying so the dinner was also not possible. The cooking class was great - just be sure to specify any allergies or if vegetarian beforehand. The breakfast was pretty good, meats, fruit, and croissants. In retrospect, I wish we could have learned more about the winery and their process of making wine, maybe next time.
Amazing attention, lovely facilities, the landscape is unbeatable
Amazing accommodation
It was a very nice stay. You can enjoy the Toscany at best when you are in the amazing infinity pool.
A Tuscan Hiccup
Pros: a beautiful location which is located close to many old fortress towns including San Gimignano. The setting was picture book perfect. The bathrooms were modern and of nice tiling. You are gifted a bottle of wine at check out. Cons: we were given an attic room without a window and a sloping roof that made it impossible to stand upright in half of the bedroom. The beam was the height of my shoulders. There was a skylight that didn’t open. The bed was a round circle so unless you slept close together in the middle, your feet stuck out and your pillow had no support and kept falling Onto the floor. No pictures on their website nor on hotels.com portrayed such a bedroom. I asked to be moved within an hour to a room with a window and a rectangular bed, but was told there was no availability, but we could be moved to another room for our final two nights if we paid 15 euro more per night. Since we had prepaid we were Stuck and agreed to the move and had a poor sleep the round bed the first night. I cracked my head three times getting out of bed and still have soreness a week later. We planned the last three nights of our three week trip to be special, but the room the first night made for a disappointing end.
Outdated and noisy room, overpriced, fine location
Very disappointing stay. Room was 500m from reception and the restaurant and breakfast. Room was very small, outdated and extremely noisy, I could hear the guest in the room next door going to the bathroom and snoring. The swimming pool is fine, but not as nice as it looks on the pictures. Location is okay, close to San Gimignano. Really limited breakfast offering. Overall overpriced and disappointing, for this money there are way nicer places around!
The views are breathtaking but the place is far away, up in the hills, in the middle of nowhere. If you are a lonely person or need to get away from everything, this is the place for you. There’s nothing around, you need to drive everywhere and roads are very narrow so not a pleasant drive. There is no elevator and the stairs and whereabouts are no recommendable for elder people. The rooms are not at all as shown in the pictures, AC does not work, wifi does not work, there were flys and mosquitos coming into the room which was disgusting. The window protection was falling off and give huge concern as an animal could crawl in to the room considering you are in the middle of the hills of Tuscany. What’s not recommended at all is the dinner package, they offer a 3 course dinner for 25 euros that is not worth it by any means, for that price they should include the wine of the house at least since they produce it and food is really bad and cheap. Meals was a great disappointment. One good thing, Irene the receptionist was very helpful and try to make us feel better but administration needs to do better in the maintenance of the place and the meals. We were supposed to stay 3 days, we just stayed 1 as we could not handle it.
Fabulous views from patios over looking orchards and vineyards in the valleys all around the farm. Infinity pool hand patio was very relaxing and peaceful. The staff were very helpful and happy. The meals were healthy Mediterranean with lots of variety and delicious!
Perfect for our honeymoon!
Great stay. The hosts were very accommodating since we are gluten free. We loved the gorgeous view and infinity pool. The location was convenient for day trips to Sienna and Florence. We also recommend checking out the local wineries in addition to those served at Poderi Archangelo. Would highly recommend for a relaxing place to stay!
Gorgeous setting. Outstanding country style food. Service and staff wonderful
Staff was very friendly. The room was spacious and the pool was amazing! The kids loved the place. Dinner was great. Breakfast was simple and small. Needed to add a bit more of variety and quantity. Definitely a great choice and hope to come back very soon. Thank you for making our stay so easy, resting and with a beautiful vew.
Breathtaking views, restful accommodations, accommodating and hospitable staff, delicious breakfast and dinner choices. All in all, a very delightful stay.
perfect location in Tuscany. Excellent staff, who were always polite and willing to offer help or information. Food at the restaurant was all homemade and amazing. The wine tour we had was by far the best we’ve ever had.
It was great to have every meal with outstanding view to Tuscany countryside. It is cool to have a separated pool - also with view - to every house on the property Small gift from the owners when leaving :) Friendly wine tasting
Beautiful location and great set up. Some minor issues with maintenance but staff responded well when advised. Recommended for families, groups etc
Great time!
Our stay was amazing! I wish we could’ve used the stove since we were there for five nights with our family.
A Slice of Heaven
Our stay was perfect! This hotel is one of a kind. The service from the family is impeccable and the views of the landscape are incredible!
beautiful views....great suppers if you decide to eat there.....enjoyed thoroughly!
Amazing views
Great location with amazing views for relaxing holiday away from hustle and bustle!
Stayed here recently for four days. The staff, the rooms, the location, all were EXCELLENT! We ate most of our breakfast and dinners on the terrace there and the food was excellent. The rooms have wonderful views and the beds are comfortable! Their wine is also excellent. Book here and you will have a holiday of a lifetime!
Good choice!
Great pool, Beautiful views.
Beautiful hotel! My kids loved the pool!
Relaxation amongst the vineyards
Beautiful agrotourism destination. Facilities including pool and soccer pitch were great. Home cooked dinners with wine from the estate were also amazing. Would definitely come back for another relaxing and peaceful holiday.
Exvelent location and the most beatiful pool in tiscana
Modern agriturismo farm with friendly staff
My wife and I really enjoyed out stay in a 1-bedroom at Casa Raffaello (one of the buildings on the property). The building included a separate outdoor pool from the main infinity pool that everyone has access to. We had a prix fixe dinner at the agriturismo on our first night, which was really good (25 EUR/person). They display the menu every morning, which you can reserve for before 4pm. We also signed up for a cooking class (95 EUR/person) that was led by their cook, Patricia. She was very friendly and fun to learn from. She mainly spoke Italian, but knew enough English words and hand motions to communicate with us; it was a very authentic experience! Our only area for improvement would be ventilation in the room. There weren't any vents, which made our bedsheets and the room overall feel a bit damp from the humidity, so we would need to open our windows to air the room. Since we were sightseeing during the day we couldn't do this until we got back at night. Nonetheless, the room was very modern and still comfortable to stay in.
Lovely hotel set in the mist beautiful scenery.
Room for improvement
Hotel room was overpriced for what we had - room was split level, even the toilet had steps, and ceiling was very low, it was dark and dull, and in much need of refurbishment. On-site restaurant was closed on that day and we had to go out into town to get food, despite looking forward to having a meal in. I've stayed in much better hotels for a lower price.
Amazing location, charming hotel
This was an amazing hotel in the most beautiful location imaginable. We were only able to stay one night as we passed through the area, but we were very sad to go.
Beautiful setting. Beautiful facility. Central location allowed us to day trip.
Peaceful and stunning views
Stayed here for 5 days, our room had lovely views and the views from the breakfast terrace were stunning. Breakfast was continental buffet style which was fine. We had dinner there on the first night @ 25 euros each for a 4 course meal sounded promising but disappointed, we we given a lukewarm bowl of soup to share , then spag bol , a chicken and veg dish, then a small square of plain sponge cake. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There was a separate kitchen area but there was a sign saying please do not use the kitchen! What's the point of having one then? All the staff were friendly and smiley. You definitely need a car as it is quite remote and miles away from towns
Beautiful place , a car is essential.
I really enjoyed my stay, because I knew what I was going to. I was staying in the main house but others were staying in houses a long way down steep hills ( a car was necessary to come to breakfast ) walking was not possible in the heat or if your not a teenager. Breakfast was ok but maybe a large bowl of chopped fruit would have been nice as there were bowls of yogurt . Also more crossaunts would be good, there was a shortage . Wasps were a problem around the serving table.. The pool is lovely but down a stone hill with some steps. We had dinner there and the food was delicious but there was a lack of atmosphere, less lighting and some candles around the area would make a huge difference and I would have eaten there more often, it is great value too. Overall it's a lovely place very rural and relaxing but beware it's got a lot of stairs and hills on the property.
Fantastic pool and scenery
Sitting by the pool with perfect Tuscan views was heaven.
The pictures on Hotels.com can not even begin to prepare you for the beautiful views and people at this hotel!!! We never wanted to leave. After the hustle and bustle of Venice, Verona and Milan it was a great mid trip stop for a relaxing calm atmosphere. There was still plenty to do touring the Vineyards of grapes, tomatoes and olive trees. Plenty of shops in town if you wanted, but was great to relax mid touring of Europe
Excellent views, wonderful staff and very comfortable hotel. By no means is this a grandiose, Cush, 5 star hotel stay but more of a quaint b&b. We did choose to have dinner at the vineyard and although more expensive that other places may have been the food was incredible, served family style for however many people in your party (in our case just us 2) the views are spectacular, the rooms are nice size Hair dryer is about as useful as standing outside in a light breeze to dry your hair, I eventually gave up and just air dried.
Great location!!
Great location, right next to the Duomo. Breakfast was ok, croissants were stale but coffee service was great. We couldn't get the AC going.
No hairdryer. No cleaning service or diswashing liquid, but overall we enjoyed our stay.
Unbeatable views
We spent hours enjoying the views. The breakfasts were great. In the room the shower head was unstable. All else was wonderful.
good place
We had a nice stay, the garden, the room and the dining area are all nice and neat. Only problem was the noise from the next door. I guess the wall was thin, so we could hear the other guest's snoring sound all night long.
Great location for day trips in Tuscany
Only 45 mins to Florence and Siena, 1.5 hrs to Pisa. 11 mins to beautiful San Gimignano. Great pool and outdoor area, good breakfast.
Great Tuscan Stay
Stayed for two nights and used as a base for exploring Tuscany. Need a car likely to get here add it is in the country about a 15 minute drive from San gimignano. Stayed in the Arcangel house which was a gorgeous room with a great view. It was large and clean and was a nice mix of a rustic design (wood beam roof) with modern furniture and amenities. The house was about 300 metres from the main building with a private parking lot. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and served on a nice restaurant and patio with a view. There was a free wine tasting the night I was there of the wine grown in their vineyards. Pool had great view and lots of nice loungers. Would definitely recommend of you're looking to stay in the Tuscan countryside.
Great views!
Nice hilltop location. Good views of Tuscany rolling hills and San Gimignano.
A Dream
Have you ever dreamt of living on a house on top of a hill with rows and rows of grapevines as far you you can see? Your own pool, top restaurant serving fine food and top wine made on site? Then this is the place to be.
Nice, unique hotel
The hotel was in a beautiful location. They most definitely need more signs for the different buildings and rooms, as we weren't the only ones looking lost. The bed was pretty uncomfortable but the room was clean. The pool was nice, though! The breakfast was beautiful looking over the hills, but the selection of food was the worst of the 4 hotels we stayed at in Tuscany (no fruit!). Otherwise, it was a unique place to stay and in a convenient location.
They do things differently in Italy! Nice enough
We booked up a self contained 2 bedroom apartment for 6 nights and the room was great, the location perfect (we were travelling by car) but we found the hotel service to be ver different. A self contained room here means bring your own everything....bin bags, tea towel, dish cloth, dish washing liquid, bin bags etc. On top of this you had to dispose of your own rubbish at designated bins on the main roads around town. The towels hang above the Bidet and when I went to grab the hand towel, all the towels fell into the Bidet! I put these towels into a plastic bag (that I provided) and took them to reception and asked for new towels. They said it would be 3 Euro each to replace the towels! I then argued that they fell in the Bidet and after a while they reluctantly agreed to replace them. Not our fault there towel rail is where it is! This is when we also found out about the 'self contained room', and after another arguement they gave us 2 bin bags for our rubbish as upon checkin there was a bin without a bin bag in it! Once we got past the initial issues, we enjoyed the place. A stop at the local COOP to pick up supplies not provided by the hotel and we were ready to relax. We drove to Pisa, SIenna and Florence in day trips from here and of course San Gimigano. I would stay here again, I would just be more prepared for the hospitality they provide.
Poderi Arcangelo Tuscany
The staff were wonderful! The location is gorgeous! Food and wine are superb.
Almost impossible to find!
This is a delightful place to stay if one could ever find it. The address given on the hotels.com site is not recognizable by GPS - I was told by the reception person that there are several addresses (?) but only one is findable by a GPS - they say they have alerted the booking sites but the change is never made. Call ahead and get the correct address.
A Beautifully located Hotel with a lovelly atmosphere.
The Hotel is Beautifully located in the Tuscan countryside. The rooms are perfectly presented.
one heaven on hearth
where to start....the hotel was awesome surraunded of a beautiful country side like only Tuscany can offer, the only down side was that we had to spend only two days in, but if I could I will move permanetly...near by San Gimignano which for me is the best town follow by Siena in a all tuscany area... I will soon be back and absolutly I will racoment this place to every one
This hotel was very far away from the hill town we were visiting, and not easy to find, especially in the dark. Our room was run down, the remote for the tv was missing, and by the time we realized, there wasn't anyone around to help with this. Really the only positive thing I can say about this hotel is the view. The hotel sits on top of a big hill and overlooks the area. The view is quite lovely, but that is it.
Disappointing Service
The reception is very unprofessional and cold. They blocked the road to the building and we have to drag heavy luggages to the room which is on the 3rd floor. WiFi is not working. Water is not hot for shower. Room temperature uncomfortable. No instructions for facilities, etc, etc.. The natural senary outside the hotel is only thing that worth memorable.
Poderi Arcangelo | Home in San Gimignano | Travala.com
This place was perfect. Spectacular views of the tuscan hills and gorgeous sunsets. Breakfast and dinner was also delicious. Perfect location for day trips to Florence, Sienna and Pisa.
