Comfortable beds

No ventilation in the room, I got there after check in time and it was dirty.

Great value for money

I had a great 6 day stay at Pilo. The pods are a great way to have a bit of privacy and feel like you're more in your own space, though don't be fooled – it's still fundamentally a hostel, but loads better if you find having to interact with people a bit awkward. The attached coffee shop/bar/restaurant is great. I was quite unwell one night which was a nightmare in a shared room, probably equally if not moreso for the other people in the room but the Pilo staff were so helpful. I think my only real niggle is that whilst the bedding is perfectly serviceable and the beds comfy enough (and, fundamentally, you'd be a fool to expect luxury high thread count linen at these prices) it would be much nicer with relatively little outlay with some better pillows (also, it's in the name!)

Family's holiday

The Hostel is very comfortable Nice and modern with a lovely bar on the ground floor. The only negative point is the position,up on the hill,so it's not very easy to reach if you are coming with luggages or buggies and young kids. Overall is a good price for the expensive Lyon.

Ok hotel- lots of details to improve

The location of the hotel is very nice, sadly there are not many transport closeby and is very step (lots of stairs) to get to the hotel, to considered for elderly people or in disable situation. The hotel in general has a nice concept, the personal is very kind and is easy to get to the rooms. On improving points the cleaningness, I stayed for three nights but never cleaned the room, the breakfast is needing urgently more options and space, in rush hour is too crowded, not a lot of options, for the price seems a little expensive. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom was not so nice, the door was very difficult to access and the shower is very uncomfortable to bath in.

Not an hotel, bare minimum to sleep at night. That is all

Great hotel on a hill

Hotel was clean and welcoming! Lots to do/eat on the ground floor. Room was a bit dark, but very comfortable. Hotel was close to everything, but located on a steep hill, so be prepared.

Good Hostel, Far From Train Station

Check-in was very easy. The room itself was a bit cramped with so many bed pods. It was quite difficult to make the bed yourself. The shower/bathroom was very clean and had multiple doors/locks for separation so many people could use it at once. It got very warm at night with so many bodies in the room. The restaurant was great, and with the keycard offered a 10% discount. My greatest complaint is that it is so far from the train station (about 1 hour walk) and sits on a steep hill. With buses on an odd schedule and the metro not close, it was difficult to reach.

I liked the cleaness but i didnt like a lot of slopes to get there, also towels are not provided, even homeless shelters provide free towels, why cant they do it? I dont like city taxes pay separately, should be included all, expédia, please do not separate city taxés, it just annoying to pay at premise.

Nice and clean however there was no shampoo provided as described and you had to pay to rent a towell and lock for the storage lockers. Food and drinks were average for the price.

I've stayed at many hostels in Europe, this one was one of the best experiences. Clean, nice beds, friendly staff.

Combination of hostel and hotel patrons made for some great people watching.Loved the courtyard right off the eating area.

Accès difficile

L'hôtel est propre et le service donné par le personnel est excellent. Seulement, l'emplacement ne m'a pas plus puisque j'ai trouvé l'accès à difficile en raison des pentes et escaliers très nombreux à monter. Je n'avais pas envie de payer pour un taxi ou Uber a chaque fois que sortais de l'hôstel alors j'ai tout fais à pied jusqu'au métro les bus n'étant pas assez nombreux a mon goût.

The room and bathroom were clean. Very quirky, would have been more comfortable with more storage, comfortable flooring and the very high ceiling was strange. Wouldn’t have liked to use the bunks.

Good and affordable option in Lyon. The family room we had was cleverly designed and clean. Staff was approachBle and helpfull.

Fantastic service and price. Good location close to Lyon centre and some rooms have a view of Basilique de Fourviere.

Enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Pilo. It has a very friendly atmosphere, and the staff are very helpful. All the staff are dedicated to high standards. The hotel is new and is a pleasant place to stay.

We were surprised to find that our room had nothing more than beds in it! There were no places to sit, no desk, no table, no fridge, no closets, no space whatsoever. And there were a lot of stairs in our room which wasn’t indicated on the site. They were steep and slippery and dangerous for us and our kids. Also a shock was that the pictures on Expedia were of a different modern hotel.

Stayed in a 4 bed shared room. Bathroom was very clean, staff was very nice and it was pretty quiet for sleeping.

New and very welcoming place! Walking distance to old city and other interesting places. Hotel has cafe on first floor, where they have a lot of different entertainments every evening. When we were there, it was a break dance competition night, was a lot of fun watching it! Also they have kitchen, where you can cook your own food, and you can relax in a room full of beanbag chairs. As for rooms, beds and pillows are very comfortable! Really nice and unique place to stay!

Sehr kleine Betten, nicht einfach reinzukommen wenn man das obere hat. Dusche war nicht gut. Immer wechselnde Temperatur und nur wenig Wasser

4名/部屋のドミトリーに宿泊しました。カプセルタイプでプライバシーはしっかり、確保されていました。シャワルームは清潔。静かなので、グッスリ睡眠が摂れました。朝食は、ブッフェスタイルでメニューも豊富で大満足でした。

Fint sted

Stedet var virkelig fint, jeg blev desværre trukket 2 gange for mit ophold fordi en i receptionen ikke kunne finde ud af sit arbejde, det blev heldigvis løst af 2 drenge i receptionen som synes det var meget mærkeligt at hende den første havde fået mig til at betale selvom jeg gjorde opmærksom på at jeg havde betalt. På selve værelset var det en dejlig seng og badet var godt men det var ikke nogen udluftning inden i selve kapslen så der var vildt varmt men ellers et godt ophold

Hôtel aux fonctionnements contemporains

Hôtel au format très contemporain et plutôt pour clientelle jeune. Bonne expérience globale propreté, chambre (nous avions la plus grande), service. Malgres le sourire agréable, manque peut-être de plus de disponibilité (impossible à joindre au téléphone) et explication du fonctionnent global. Nous pourrions y retourner sans hésitation.

Det var bare en treg heis. Likte ikke å stå der sammen med fremmede som ikke forstod dette. God servering og fine oppholdsarealer ved lobby.

Cómodo, limpio y bien ubicado

El hotel esta en una colina por lo que llegar ahi caminando con muchas maletas no es sencillo. Sin embargo, las habitaciones son muy limpias y espaciosas, el staff es muy amable y el desayuno muy bueno. La ubicación es ideal.

Nuit fraîche avec seule moyen de ce réchauffer un petit radiateur d’appoint.. chambre pas isoler , on attend tout ce qu’il ce passe autour ..

Rien a dire , tous est níquel, propre et le personnel très sympathique et répond parfaitement au critère et au besoin du client.

Convenable, confortable, propre , ( petit bemole laverie du 5 e étage , car suite à mon lavage de vêtements mes habilles ont une odeur pas très agréable a supporter donc obliger de recouvrir de déo ou parfum ) si non le reste rien a redire.

Afslappet behagelig stemning og super god service.

Déçue

Superbe accueil mais grosse déception au niveau de l’insonorisation. On entend vraiment les passages couloirs et les personnes au dessus et énorme problème de chauffage. La Clim faisait tellement de bruit que mon fils pensait que c’était des travaux à l’extérieur. À 22/30 je l’ai coupé donc froid. La porte des wc qui grince affreusement.

très bon séjour , équipe très sympathique et aidante. Premier séjour Lyonnais très agréable . Petit bonus pour la vue sur Fourvière !
