The Hostel is very comfortable Nice and modern with a lovely bar on the ground floor. The only negative point is the position,up on the hill,so it's not very easy to reach if you are coming with luggages or buggies and young kids. Overall is a good price for the expensive Lyon.

Ok hotel- lots of details to improve

The location of the hotel is very nice, sadly there are not many transport closeby and is very step (lots of stairs) to get to the hotel, to considered for elderly people or in disable situation. The hotel in general has a nice concept, the personal is very kind and is easy to get to the rooms. On improving points the cleaningness, I stayed for three nights but never cleaned the room, the breakfast is needing urgently more options and space, in rush hour is too crowded, not a lot of options, for the price seems a little expensive. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom was not so nice, the door was very difficult to access and the shower is very uncomfortable to bath in.

Not an hotel, bare minimum to sleep at night. That is all

Great hotel on a hill

Hotel was clean and welcoming! Lots to do/eat on the ground floor. Room was a bit dark, but very comfortable. Hotel was close to everything, but located on a steep hill, so be prepared.

Good Hostel, Far From Train Station

Check-in was very easy. The room itself was a bit cramped with so many bed pods. It was quite difficult to make the bed yourself. The shower/bathroom was very clean and had multiple doors/locks for separation so many people could use it at once. It got very warm at night with so many bodies in the room. The restaurant was great, and with the keycard offered a 10% discount. My greatest complaint is that it is so far from the train station (about 1 hour walk) and sits on a steep hill. With buses on an odd schedule and the metro not close, it was difficult to reach.

I liked the cleaness but i didnt like a lot of slopes to get there, also towels are not provided, even homeless shelters provide free towels, why cant they do it? I dont like city taxes pay separately, should be included all, expédia, please do not separate city taxés, it just annoying to pay at premise.

Nice and clean however there was no shampoo provided as described and you had to pay to rent a towell and lock for the storage lockers. Food and drinks were average for the price.

I've stayed at many hostels in Europe, this one was one of the best experiences. Clean, nice beds, friendly staff.

Combination of hostel and hotel patrons made for some great people watching.Loved the courtyard right off the eating area.

Accès difficile

L'hôtel est propre et le service donné par le personnel est excellent. Seulement, l'emplacement ne m'a pas plus puisque j'ai trouvé l'accès à difficile en raison des pentes et escaliers très nombreux à monter. Je n'avais pas envie de payer pour un taxi ou Uber a chaque fois que sortais de l'hôstel alors j'ai tout fais à pied jusqu'au métro les bus n'étant pas assez nombreux a mon goût.

The room and bathroom were clean. Very quirky, would have been more comfortable with more storage, comfortable flooring and the very high ceiling was strange. Wouldn’t have liked to use the bunks.

Good and affordable option in Lyon. The family room we had was cleverly designed and clean. Staff was approachBle and helpfull.

Fantastic service and price. Good location close to Lyon centre and some rooms have a view of Basilique de Fourviere.

Enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Pilo. It has a very friendly atmosphere, and the staff are very helpful. All the staff are dedicated to high standards. The hotel is new and is a pleasant place to stay.

We were surprised to find that our room had nothing more than beds in it! There were no places to sit, no desk, no table, no fridge, no closets, no space whatsoever. And there were a lot of stairs in our room which wasn’t indicated on the site. They were steep and slippery and dangerous for us and our kids. Also a shock was that the pictures on Expedia were of a different modern hotel.

Stayed in a 4 bed shared room. Bathroom was very clean, staff was very nice and it was pretty quiet for sleeping.

New and very welcoming place! Walking distance to old city and other interesting places. Hotel has cafe on first floor, where they have a lot of different entertainments every evening. When we were there, it was a break dance competition night, was a lot of fun watching it! Also they have kitchen, where you can cook your own food, and you can relax in a room full of beanbag chairs. As for rooms, beds and pillows are very comfortable! Really nice and unique place to stay!

Rien a dire , tous est níquel, propre et le personnel très sympathique et répond parfaitement au critère et au besoin du client.

Convenable, confortable, propre , ( petit bemole laverie du 5 e étage , car suite à mon lavage de vêtements mes habilles ont une odeur pas très agréable a supporter donc obliger de recouvrir de déo ou parfum ) si non le reste rien a redire.

Déçue

Superbe accueil mais grosse déception au niveau de l’insonorisation. On entend vraiment les passages couloirs et les personnes au dessus et énorme problème de chauffage. La Clim faisait tellement de bruit que mon fils pensait que c’était des travaux à l’extérieur. À 22/30 je l’ai coupé donc froid. La porte des wc qui grince affreusement.

très bon séjour , équipe très sympathique et aidante. Premier séjour Lyonnais très agréable . Petit bonus pour la vue sur Fourvière !

Tres bon sejour a l hotel Pilo.. personnel agreable et attentif; belle chambre tres propre avec un bon grand lit, salle de bains complete avec eau bien chaude ( seche cheveux a disposition); ascenseur a tous les etages. Grande salle a manger, petit dejeuner copieux a 10 euros. Espace vert équipé. Proximité du centre, 20 mns a pied, quartier calme de la Croix Rousse. Recommandé

Peut être l’une des meilleures auberges de Lyon mais tout dépend de la chambre que l’on vous attribue. J’ai deja effectué plusieurs séjours au Pilo, même en dortoirs mixtes de 16, rien à redire. Mais là en 612, une cata : une douche sur 2 de disponible mais bouchée avec remontée de crasse et odeur qui va avec, le chauffage qui diffuse une odeur de moisi quand il se met en marche. J’ai signalé le problème 2 fois, on m’a repondu que c’était dû à une fuite et qu’un technicien allait intervenir, jamais vu pour ces 2 problèmes. Et qu’on allait voir pour me changer de chambre, jamais eu de retour, juste que l’hostel était blindé…

Desconfortável e banheiro ruim

O atendimento foi bom, pessoal da recepção e do restaurante eram bem simpáticos, mas detestei minha estadia. Eu odiei hostels, mas dei chance pra esse porque era apenas uma noite e eu só ia para dormir, a avaliação era boa. A cama era muito difícil de entrar e sair, o colchão era um colchão ruim parecido colchonete de academia, e o banheiro nem se fala: HORRÍVEL! Um box minúsculo com um vaso e outro box minúsculo com chuveiro, não dava nem pra você se secar direito de tão apertado. Na descrição falava que tinha secador no quarto mas tinha que ir na recepção e deixar o passaporte toda vez que precisasse usar. Paguei 5 euros por uma toalha fina que nem secava direito. Um terror!

Personal habla español, por lo que fue de mucho apoyo en mi viaje, cuentan con desayuno y restaurante por lo que es una excelente opcion para ahorrar en alimentación

Hébergement excentré du cœur de ville (dans les hauteurs de Lyon) et de la Gare de Lyon (environ 60min à pied). Chambre partagée avec des petites superficies (ne pas être trop grand pour être dans un lit en hauteur !….ou être contorsionniste !) Salle de bain et wc séparés de l’espace nuit ; pratique pour éviter les nuisances sonores. Mais propreté bof bof… Une équipe sympathique et serviable.

Das Badezimmer und die Waschbecken waren dreckig. Zudem gab es keine Tücher zum Abtrocknen der Hände.

Das Pilo liegt im alten Teil von Lyon in der Nähe vom Amphitheater und den Stadtteil Croix Rouge. Die Schlafboxen sind zweckmäßig ausgestattet.

Hôtel sympa entre amis mais moins bien pour les couples, chambre propre mais très classique type un peu mamanshelter. Par contre pas de TV?!!!
