The view and friendly staff are really the only good things this property has. The location is off the beaten path and quite the climb. Would not recommend for anyone with children or elderly. AC was absolutely terrible. Felt like a legit sauna. Doesn't look at all like the photos. Rooms are mediocre at best. Not worth the price.
This was arguably one of the worst experiences I've had across the board. Where do I begin? Music plays loudly from the beach every single night between 6PM to 3AM. And I mean it's LOUDD.. To get to the resort, it's a trek. If you're older, this spot is not for you in any way. I'm 24 and it took a lot for me. You have to walk 1.2km, go down a hill, then up a hill along with stairs just to get there. It took me 3 times to ask them to fix the sink that would leak rapidly and get my feet wet. The customer service is not the most enjoyable aspect and they genuinely don't seem to be the most excited about their guests. The hot water in the shower wasn't working either. Lukewarm, often steering on the cold side. There were a lot of mosquitos.. EVERYWHERE. They got into my bungalow and me along with the other travelers had to find unique ways of surviving without getting attacked by them. Big beetles, lizards, and cockroaches showed up in my room several times. It got to the point where I just accepted it for what it was. I was booked for an entire week. Overall, the experience was a mess. The view is the only thing I can highlight from this trip.
Closed for renovations
After booking with hotels.com, turns out the hotel was closed for renovations/COVID-19. I find this interesting because the time of booking on your website stated that they were only two rooms available at that price when obviously that was not correct
Really neat spot with a great view. It’s farther away from the center island so not as noisy but still within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and even have tours and kayaks available for rent for reasonable prices! Great stay!
I loved the little houses very different from actual hotels ( little 2 person houses) I loved the view from all the houses ( view of the mountain) far away from all the night club noise and it felt like a little jungle. Very bohemian and relaxing atmosphere.,very laid back . Right on the water unusual for most places .
Arrived at the pier man met us took our bags and took us to a boat on the beach really easy. Got to the hotel lots of steps but not a problem if you’re fit. They also carry all your bags they are so kind and helpful. Check in was easy amazing view of phi phi is defiantly worth the stair climb. Breakfast was good but so many mosquitos my partner got bit 8 times. He didn’t have breakfast the second day. The music at night is pretty insane from the beach even with ear plugs in but if you’re going there to party then great place to stay. Only a 5/10 minute walk max to the town. Overall lovely stay and the views are unreal and the staff really nice.
Great views, great location for a quieter stay
Great hotel for the price! Very warm and friendly staff, breathtaking views from the lobby deck and some of the rooms depending on which room. Would highly recommend!
other than a stiff bed, we felt safe and clean, quite a trek from the center of town-but the distance was welcome when we realized how loud town is :) beautiful view
Unfortunately not what we were expecting.
The Resort is a long and awkward trek from the town. without meaning any disrespect anyone of a slightly older age or out of shape would seriously not enjoy the walk to the resort. I am very fit and it was a work out for me. the resort is ok with rooms very basic. views are lovely but the horrible tin roof in front ruined ours. staff are very helpful. breakfast which is included was nice but limited. From the rooms the music is very loud from the beach. I our eyes Phi Phi was not paradise, more like Malia. if you are stay on the island which is must for Thailand. Long Beach is the place.
The trip was good. It is about a 10 minute walk to the center of Phi Phi and there are a flight of stairs that you have to climb to get to the place which sometimes can be taxing. However the view of the room is amazing and such a great way to wake up.
Great hotel and away from the ‘town’
Great experience, only issue was that our shower stopped working so they made us change rooms and then the 2nd room’s shower heater didn’t work. Overall though I would stay there again!
Cute little cubes overlooking the beach
The hotel was nice, with a great view, free breakfast and AC. I was satisfied.
Great resort for short stay
Booked because of the view. Hard to find as there are little signs pointing to the resort. The hike to the resort is true. On these hot days the last thing you need is to forget something in the room and go back to get it. Clean room and confortable bed. Leave the room without the AC on for half the day and you will be coming back to a hot sauna. Breakfast is decent.
Poor
The staff were helpful but the rooms are basically sheds, doesn't even look as average as it looks in the pictures, located in the middle of no where, over priced for what it is. Wouldn't recommend.
Stunning view!
Extremely friendly and serviceminded staff. The place also offers good value for money and the view from the resort is stunning. If you are a light sleeper it can be a bit difficult to sleep, because you can hear the beach party at Koh Phi Phi Don.
Good but..
... but not a best location to walk fev times a day, bit hard to find aswell as the directions are pure
Very lovely hotel with good view!
This hotel is nice and the staff were very friendly. I originally booked 3 nights but ended up having 5 nights. The beach is directly at the hotel and it is very nice. If you are a good swimmer you can swim easily to the monkey beach which has lots of fish and monkeys :)
hope you hsve good calves for climbing
its a killer of a wdlk hard to find its wayyyy up a hill through windi g paths not well marked prepare to spend an hour searching for it
Average stay and accomodation.
We stayed at Phi Phi Sea Sky Resort for 2 nights in early December. Overall, I would say the stay was average. When we first got to Phi Phi, we walked down the pier and could not find anyone holding the hotel sign so we paid a local to help us with our packs as most of the walk was uphill. He could only take us half way as the rest of the way had no road. It was only a short walk but there are quite a few steps and some parts are tricky. Combine this with 25kg packs and the sweltering heat, it was a tough walk. I kept thinking to myself- "How the am I going to do this on the way back?". Fortunately, they have a little boat that can take your luggage to the port. Unfortunately, no one communicated this when we made the booking. When we finally got there, we were shown to our room. It was very basic with an average bed and amenities. Bathroom could do with revamp as the wood was rooting and the paint peeling. The dining area and reception was completely different from the photos but the view were amazing. Breakfast was basic but still delicious. The walk to the main area (without packs) can be easily done but I would not recommended any family stays as it can be difficult for kids. Overall, not the best place for the price. The resort could improve their communication skills and improve their buildings.
beautiful sea view
Was ok..but could be better compared to other locations vis-a-vis price
Quite the quiet getaway
The rooms were nice, all windows with amazing views from the bedroom. Great shower. Not to many amenities and the hotel was a bit of a trek from the main strip. Great for romance and relaxing, not so much if you're getting drunk.
Nice host, tiring walk
I feel so great when we arrived the pier. Someone is holding a board showing our hotel name. So we just follow the guy who helps to carry my heavy luggage walk to hotel. As I have read those comments, I am prepared that the way to the hotel will be far and tiring. Yes it is. Along the way we walked up and down. After we reached the hotel, I am like OMG finally here we are. We were so sweaty. I just carry my little backpack and I am almost exhausted. I could not imagine if I am going to carry my luggage. After that me and my boyfriend always plan before we walked out the hotel because it is never easy to walk back the hotel. But the host is friendly. When we checked out the next day, we asked for their help to carry our luggage. They did not charge a single cents and using a private pool send us to the pier. Overall I think it is a good experience for youth. But I am not going to bring my parents here as the way to come here is really challenging.
I left it was dreadful.
Held our passports hostage had to pay big bhat to get it back. No toilet paper. Air conditioning. Uphill walk. Nice view (but that's all it's got going for it). Definetly would not recommend it to anyone. Not even my worst enemy.
Not worth the money
This hotel was NOT what we expected. It was way too expensive. It is no where near the main strip. You literally have to either take a boat or hike on the side of a small mountain to get there. Not to mention to get to the hotel itself is 70 degrees steep hike up. We broke a glass in our room upon arriving and asked twice for it to be picked up and it was still there, broken on the ground when we left. The staff was less than friendly and extremely unhelpful. Horrible hotel.
Don't do it to yourself
It is far away from everything.. And this is not even nice if you want to be far away because if you want to eat somthing, the resturant is very limited, so you will have to walk at the hills for a long time to eat ! And the way there is not easy from the place you come to Ko Phi Phi... It will not be a romantic vecation or close to "nice" vecation... BIG NO NO !!
Best veiw only good thing
Bugs everywhere not really a hotel more like a cabin no pool or swim area rocks are slippy at sea entrance so hard to get around dangerous and big hills broken paths trying to climb back drunk is not good I wouldn't call it a hotel but friendly run place staff are nice
Staff are verry frendly and helpfull. Hotel is located on av long as can bee from the pier. At night that was verry god because of verry verry verry laud music in the senter, but it was a verry long walk up, down and behind. Not for those with handicap. The sunsett, you can not belive it. Famili of 6.
Seasky
I really enjoyed my staying. The location is great, the view is magnificent and the stuff is very friendly.
Great hotel in the hills, but beware of the music!
You come to Phi Phi to party. I mean, there are great sights to see in the day time, but this hotel is situated to where the music from the clubs hits you, in your room, (music stops at 2AM). It's about a 10-15 min walk to the main area, however. It was a really nice place and great views, with an amazing staff.
Clean, Comfortable, Nice friendly staff but noisy
Very good View of the bay area, a little noisy at night and about a 10 minute walk to the beach but very nice helpful friendly, staff and clean, comfortable room.
not open!
Do not sign up or pay for a stay here. I followed all the signs to this hotel to find that the rooms were still being built. there was no reception or anyone to help me out!. Chasing a refund now !!!
Nice but loud
Great hotel that was a bit of a walk from the main part of town (15 mins). The walk wasn't horrible, but the noise at night from the night clubs was pretty loud. Breakfast was decent.
Great views!
Great views, cute bungalow. Noise from the nightclub was a bit much, so use earplugs. (Note- they supply them. )
great hotel, phi phi not so great
Whilst it is a big effort on a hot day to get up to the hotel located on a hillside, it is still a good location close enough to walk to the town in 5-10 minutes. Great view from room, free good connection to wifi and lovely room. However on a night the music from the town is booming and goes on until 3am! Phi phi itself whilst a gorgeous island and surrounding islands has stagnant water, smelly, scruffy, rubbish everywhere and a bit of a building site. If your looking for a romantic getaway you wont find it here.
Terrible location & facilities
Will never go back. The hotel is only accessible by one small boat run by hotel attendants (about 7 minutes from main area of PP) or a long walk along an unlit path in a remote area. Very confusing. Hotel pictures also do not reflect the actual appearance and quality of the rooms. Staff speaks little to no English.
wow
view from room was amazing
One heck of a tricky walk home!
It's a bit of a hike to get to and from and at night with a few drinks in you, well... Verging on a little dangerous, very easy to twist your ankle as I did! Hotel was clean but just too much of a mission.
Stay somewhere else!
The main problem with this hotel is the location. It is so far away from everything that the daily walk is a pain, and it's all up steep unlit uneven pathways. But the main point is that it is directly in front of all the beachfront bars pumping out rubbish music until 4 am. At least the hotel provides earplugs, however you can still hear it. Overpriced and no facilities. If you stay here you'll regret it in the first 5 minutes.
Remote, but not..
Arriving by boat across Loh Dalum bay makes this places feel very remote...but it's not really...very quiet & serene, it's just a 15-20 min walk into the village. But it's a rough walk...not to be done in flip flops or under the influence! Free wifi here but its so slow, but then most of the island is! Phi Phi is a noisy little village...even out here I can still hear the thumping music (& I'm hearing impaired!!). If you can't beat 'em... If heading to the beach on Phi Phi go at high tide!
Es war sauber und ordentlich. Toller Ausblick.
Muovi- ym roskaa on kaikkialla. Tie majoille kulkee osittain lähes kaatopaikkaa muistuttavan haisevan hökkelikylän kautta. Vaikka majat ovat verrattain kaukana Phi Phi:n keskustasta kuuluu rannalla olevien ravintoloiden musiikin jytke kovana joka ilta pikkutunneille asti.
very nice resort BUT terrible noise
the bungalows are very nice, the setting a a lush tropical garden. very nice views, clear water just some steps down. The people who run the place are VERY friendly and helpful. the price is ok. BUT: it is absolutelyNOT possible to sleep there - because there is a beach club at the bay. The club is some 100 meters further down, and they have huge loudspeakers. The sound is on from 7 pm to 3 am every night. you hear it everywhere at the bay. And it is loud! Even with all window closed and ear plugs you get the feeling that your bed is right in the middle of the dancing stage. We are so sorry for the owners of Sea Sky resort (and all the others close by). It is beyond their power to do anything against turning the beautiful island into a place for some hundred drunk teenage and twen people who terrorize a whole island.

beautiful view and amazing staff. great spot that feels like it’s on the outside of the town and quiet but is still close enough to join in on the nightlife with a short walk. air conditioning makes a big difference and is amazing, as is the hot showers. lovely fresh food and drinks at the sky deck for breakfast, lunch and dinner, do not need to go anywhere else if you need to eat. the beautiful sea is accessible for swims, snorkels and kayak sessions and has impeccable clear water.
